First time here and I will be returning! I did the $15 pass. Brought eater bottle and bag of towels and some snacks. You can also bring in a cooler for an additional amount. They have a nice bar but I didn't drink anything. Their food menu was surprising! They have your typical bar food ( mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, etc) but they also offered tacos and protein bowls. I had a grilled shrimp bowl with rice, a slaw and two hushpuppies and was impressed. They also have boils! The property is well maintained. You can rent cabanas. Great place to hang out and start/finish your floating experience. We got there early and didn't have to wait for a tube and didn't have trouble finding a table. The city water chute is right there and is a fun addition to the experience. It was convenient that there was a bar which served drinks and food... nothing fancy but enough to satisfy the hunger. They have gone downhill since last year (2023) with food & drinks, they have NO margaritas!!! Only beer & 2 slushy drinks, Pina Colada & High C, whatever the heck that is. The DJ is WAY too loud. Can't talk to your guests at the Cabanas as the music BLARES so loud!!! They should keep the music lower for guests, instead of trying to blast it to the River people to promote their half-ass bar. If they REALLY want people to come there, they need to bring back their margaritas & serve decent food. The staff is friendly but can't make up for the lack of a decent bar & food. They also let freebie people "migrate" to the paid Cabanas between Cabanas #2 & #3 to "freeload". Not a good thing as Cabana #2 had a grill but "free loaders" with scuba gear took over the table & blocked the grill off, so you can't use it, a waste of paid Cabana # 2 rental. No one from Float in to Monitor the area!!! I saw a Park Ranger checking cabanas for drunks, but no one from Float in checking for freeloaders blocking Cabana paid users from their grills or monitoring the stairs to ask folks to not block the River access for tubers. I had to wait several hours for the crowd to disperse before I could get into the River. It needs to be better monitored. Plus, there were No lifeguards on duty (I almost drowned last year when the chute pushed me to the 40 foot bottom!). Lots of people drown there each year & they cover it up by saying nothing!!!! In fact, a person drowned at the City Chute last year when we were there!!! Swim at your own risk. No Lifeguards present! read more

We went during the weekday (which is free) and got to sit at the cabanas - which they usually charge $200! What the heck! Anyway! They offer draft beer, canned, bottled, frozen beverages, and food. Outdoor seating along the Guadalupe river with the option to tube! They also had a mini pumpkin patch which was really cool and great for photo opportunities. The pumpkin patch was nicely put together. We went on a Friday afternoon to take my 20 month old without worrying about a crowd. I take 2 stars off because there were ants everywhere, which it's outside so I guess it's inevitable but they got in my sons pant leg without us knowing and I had to strip his pants right there. He has about 8-10 bites on him and they came from a hay stack used to sit and take pics. I was pretty ticked, maybe check and spray for ants if you know people and kids will be sitting and playing in said area... we also asked if they had food and they said they didn't and the food truck schedule didn't show. We paid admission to be there for 15 mins and get attacked by ants. I just really hope it doesn't happen to another poor child that is too young to speak or say they are getting bit up. read more

Meh, just meh. Floating seemed like a great idea at the time and the photos of this place made it look super cool, but when we got there I just started becoming disappointed. We had a private cabana, which we paid a bit extra for, and that was nice to have a little private space - this may have been the best part. Parking was atrocious, and even though we lucked out and found a tight spot inside the gates, we saw people parking on the street for blocks and blocks and walking up. The staff seemed fairly nice though, though we didn't try any of the food or drinks from the bar (we brought our own). The crowd was simply hellacious though; hundreds of people jammed into their lagoon (or whatever it was) and the bottom of the lagoon is covered with huge rocks at different depths. I bashed my knees and shins more than once, and my wife hit her head on a huge submerged rock when she came out of one of the chutes. The river itself was even worse, just a mass of drunk and high humanity - couldn't wait to get that part over with and head back to the cabana for drinks and food. When we got back, it had gotten even more crowded, with tons of drunk people around and some aging hippies sitting in front of our cabana smoking weed. Don't usually mind the smell except when its ALL I can smell. I guess I can now say I've done a river float in Texas, but most likely wouldn't do it again, and not at The Float In. I wish I could give the Float in a 3.5 because this is a solid place to stop after you get through the tube shoot. I should know, my friend and I did it on both of our floats today. However, the sandwiches we ordered were not amazing. The bread was soggy, not well toasted, on both the grilled cheese and BLT. In hindsight, we should have tried a burger. Best thing that we ate? The mozzarella sticks. They have that down. Frozen drinks can be purchased and put in your own cup for 60cents per ounce. It is a nice place to stop, take a break, get a drink and use a restroom. It's a very cool family fun spot whether you go in the summer or off-season - for pumpkin patch which we just went to and it's very cool I liked everything about it. Management: I have a recommendation for you -please upgrade your bathrooms!!everything else outside looks amazing but the bathrooms are small there's no changing rooms for people to go to- change there and you are straddling the toilets and when you stand up you can see people face-to-face because the doors are short, that is my only suggestion update your bathrooms everyone else as you can read come already changed in your swimwear because there's nowhere else to change except straddling a toilet in the small bathrooms. read more

I really enjoyed my time here! The drinks and food are great, you even get a complimentary first drink of your choosing! I had a number of frozen drinks rose, lemonade and white claw bucket along with chicken tenders. I went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded and the seating area was very open. I ended up being able to sit under a cabana with no issues or charge. I also got a tube as part of my entry and free drink, they ask for something of yours as collateral which would be good to know before you walk up a hill empty handed. I didn't have anything and they gave me the tube with no issue after I assured them I wouldn't steal it, cus like who does that? Anyway the water is so cold and refreshing but it's like a real rushing river and if your not from Texas or have never been in a river beware. The bottom of the river is sharp with many different types and sizes of rocks beneath your feet, please wear shoes and be mindful of your legs and feet being scratched scraped and bruised. The river literally rushes it pushes with such fierce you can barely stand in some areas. It will push you all the way down for miles and you will be away from your belongings. Please protect your items if you do the full river, I did not go far but my things were safe overall. Just come prepared for treacherous adventure because no one told me! read more

We spent the money and rented a "private cabana" that turned out to be a not so private cabana. As advertised, we were supposed to have our own bbq pit, beachfront area, and be able to seat 8 adults and 2 kids. Now, before you go thinking that if you spend your hard earned money for a private cabana that it would allow for personal space. Not so at the Float In, they don't give two squirts of piss who is in your cabanas space! Bbq pit, nope surrounded by shitty hipsters that are concerned about vaping, drinking lame fruity drinks and smoking weed. Beach front area, think again taken over by those that think they can sit wherever they want and have a lack of respect for the your space. Your private seating for great grandma, shooooot son, think again, it was taken! Would I recommend this place you ask? Well, nope! Would I come back, that's a hard no! Good location with very little parking. The employees are not well managed. When we first got there the kids working at the entrance where clueless about the tube rental. They sent us around to the back side of the building where the tubes were. The kid at the tube spot just turned us around and sent us back to the front gate. So frustrating. We heard that from others as well. The wait staff were very nice and attentive. We rented a cabana which was nice. We were able to enjoy some people watching on the River and some beverages with our pups! Beers are a bit pricey but it's River front so we know it's expensive to keep all that space kept nice! My friend and I come here every year for the pumpkin patch. We went last Friday and got there around 7:15. We weren't going to stay long, we just wanted to take a few pictures and have a drink or two. Immediately upon walking in one of the girls working (dark haired) told us they close at 8. We let her know that we knew. We walked around took a couple of pictures and then decided to buy a beer. All four of the workers just stared at us before I asked if they were still serving. The same dark haired girl said "that's you, I can't serve them." (Not sure if she's not allowed to or just upset, whatever). The only employee who was somewhat nice and had customer service was the guy with the curly, black hair. After we finished taking our pictures, we decided to sit down and finish our beers. We figured we were good since it was 7:45. As soon as we turned to go sit, they turned off ALL the lights. There were still 4 people there. My friend and I, and two girls with a dog. We were like okay, whatever we'll take the hint, they clearly want us to leave. So we walked out, no one said "goodbye" "have a good night," nothing. We sat in our car to talk and decide where to eat. Then we saw all four of them walk out and drive away at 7:55. I don't know if there was no manager there that night, or if one of them was the manger. As someone who has hosted, served, bartended, and managed at restaurants, this is completely unacceptable. I get wanting to leave, it was a Friday, I'm sure they had plans, but for them to turn off the lights while there's still people there and then leave before the place is even officially closed, that's crazy. read more

Even when one small cooler had a birthday cake in it, separated from the big cooler so it wouldn't get smooshed they still charged... It's nicely situated next to the river to enjoy a relaxing day just sitting outside or go tubing. It's a good spot to chill, enjoy a drink and grab a bite to eat. Their menu consists of burgers, chicken strips, and pizzas. It's my second year going to the Float In Pumpkin Patch. There is an entrance fee for the Pumpkin Patch. They have beautiful and rustic decor pumpkins setups throughout the property making it perfect for pictures. It's family friendly place and they have an area for kids to play. The only thing I can mention about this place it should improve it's accessibility to wheelchairs and strollers to go down the hill to get closer to river edge and a less steep ramp at the back restaurant area. The staff is very nice and helpful. Overall is a nice place to visit in New Braunfels and I will visit again. read more

I booked a cabana 6 weeks in advance for a work morale event. confirmed with Kai the week of the event, that it was a go and he would be there the day of. I showed up at 11 the day of the event before the group was to arrive at noon, and not a soul in site. There was also nothing posted on social media that they would be closed that day. Kai finally called me at 1145, to tell me they were closed due to incoming weather, leaving me hanging to now scramble to make other plans for a large group. Horribly handled by Kai and poor communication on a last minute close. So fun every time! Beautiful water, beautiful view, and the tubing is great. They have a snack bar as well and drinks you can buy. We are here right now for the 4th of July celebrating my boyfriends birthday and we couldn't have picked a better spot. Had a great time. Paid $25.00 per person, with that came the tube rental with admission, shuttle ride back after your tubing adventure, a drink (there's a menu and it does include alcohol), plus if you want to come back and tube again you just tell them. We went last weekend and temps were in the 100's. The water was cold at first extremely refreshing later. There are deep spots if you want to swim. Please wear water shoes you don't want to stub your toe on rocks. No plastic bottles allowed or glass containers, have your drinks in a cup with lid. Only downside was we wanted to be on the river longer and catch more of the action, we'll do some research on a different spot as well. Absolutely rude employees. Young girl up front was extremely rude and unprofessional, was the one taking orders and charged us for food and then told us they ran out of that specific thing so we settled for something cheaper and she didn't give us our credit nor cared to fix it when we brought it up. We essentially over paid for something we had to settle and get. View is beautiful, although the staff has no masks on, no gloves, nothing was being sanitized.
