My wife sees Dr. Linton and has known of him for some time and set the appointment for me. Finally taking the plunge and getting contacts even though I have a phobia of putting things in my eyes...even drops. When I got there found I wasn't seeing Dr. Linton, okay no biggie. After all the exam and tests and whatnot was told I'd be given some trial lenses to work with and learn with and I would get a call in a few days to see how I was doing and to let me know when my lenses would arrive. The woman that was to help me with my trial lenses was rude and not helpful at all. I had to find out from a co-worker that they could be inside out... and then my wife showed me how to tell!! Well, I got 2 different strengths on the trial lenses which was tough to adjust to, and I got 7 lenses and told to throw them away at the end of each day. Okay, 7 lenses are not going to last very long especially when I have 2 eyes and that equates to 3 days and one left over! This was all on the 6th of January, it is now the 20th!! No calls, no lenses!! I have called and called...no answer and left a message asking for some answers... nothing!! read more

Bummed to have to write this, but here we are. First time patient. Came in for an eye exam and contact lense fitting. Reception was great, the assistant that took me through the pre-exam was great. Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was anything but. After waiting in the exam room for over 20 minutes, in walks the doctor. This lady (Dr. Fuentes?) was in a MASSIVE hurry, and it SHOWED. No apology for the long wait, asked me no questions , didn't ask if I had any questions/concerns (I do), didn't explain anything to me. Went through the eye exam, which was fine. I had to offer up the information that I suffered from dry eye, to which she confirmed. But again, provided little additional explanation or information past that. I let her know that I use Tretinoin (which I've heard can contribute to dry eye), and her only question was "Oh, is that why your face is so red?". Um, NO that's NOT why my "face is so red". It's probably because your FRANTIC ENERGY is making me NERVOUS, lady! (it was also extremely hot/stuffy in the exam room...). Then it was time for the contact fitting. She didn't take the time to ask me about my history with contact lenses/if I currently wear them (I don't). She just handed a lense to me and told me to put it in. I had to ask her to please assist, as I am not a contact user. I also have anxiety about putting things near my eye, which she never bothered to consider. After several futile and rushed attempts of her trying to get the contacts in my eyes, she simply walked out of the room without a word and I never saw her again. Luckily, in walks another assistant (Melissa) who was an absolute light and a breath of fresh air, who was able to get the lenses in relatively quickly and was very patient and calm. So yeah. All in all, this was not a good experience and was actually kind of traumatic? I can't say that I won't be back for sure, but if I do come back, I will absolutely not make an appointment with this doctor again. read more

I have been going here pretty much majority of my adult life and there is absolutely no other eye doctor I would prefer to see. Wait times are amazing, staff manners are beyond great, and the Dr's always take time to answer any questions or concerns that I may have. Great Customer Service and nice frame selection! My husband and I had appointments back to back, sadly, our babysitter cancelled last minute so we were worried that one of us would have to cancel. The office accommodated us, with our son in tow, as best they could and we are so grateful! Dr. Linton was very knowledgeable and detailed, which we appreciated a lot. Our vision insurance provider changed, so the lens/frames coverage was not the greatest, cost wise. This was a bummer since we had no idea that our coverage was less, but they helped us stay within our budget without giving up on style. Everyone who works here is so kind and accommodating! I first started going here after I was poked in my eye by my toddler and needed to be seen ASAP! They let me walk right in without an appointment and helped me on a moments notice! Since then I've been seen for my annual exams and every visit is better than the last. I always have a wonderful experience here. I will also say that they have an awesome selection of glasses and are reasonably priced. They even special ordered me pairs I'd seen online that they didn't normally carry, just to see if I liked them, no strings attached. My son has been having some issues with his right eye and I took him here due to good reviews I had found online. I was really impressed with Dr. Linton and his staff! Doing an eye exam on a 4 year old is not an easy thing to do, but they have it mastered. They allowed my son to ask dozens of questions about the equipment and answered all of the questions happily. They even let him play with all of the buttons on the chair and equipment. He was so comfortable there he didn't even fuss when they gave him the drops to dilate his eyes. Upon leaving my son told me "That was fun, we should do that again sometime." Overall a great experience and I am going to be switching to this location for my eye care as well. read more

Very disappointed in their service and product. Bought a pair of Sun glasses and was out fishing the Nisqually River. I needed to push my glasses up on the bridge of my nose. One of the lenses popped out. Once it hit the water it was gone. Went back to talk about a replacement lens due to the defect in the frame. No replacement with out buying a new lens. After spending another $40.00 that lens too would not stay in the frame. So, I have sunglasses I can not wear. Costco is now my choice when buying new glasses. read more

Move on and don't bother with this place. You only have 1 hour to park in front of their bldg because the parking lot behind their bldg is constantly filled up. Scheduler Sara(h) argued with me about when to pay my bill. She took my money at first and then after she was running my card through stated that most people pay after the visit. I am not most people and it really ticked me off If this was any indication of what my exam would be like, I did not stick around to find out and abruptly walked out. I first visited Puyallup Vision a year ago and had a wonderful experience with a very supportive and helpful staff. I found a great pair of glasses. Unfortunately this is where the honeymoon ended. Six months later I had to take the glasses back in because the expensive anti/glare upgrade that I purchased wore off. Other than a few days inconvenience everything else was fine. Until my most recent visit. I found the staff to be borderline hostile with me during my visit. The receptionist kept me waiting for approx. 2 minutes because she was talking about her upcoming wedding with a friend on the phone. I asked the sales person who was helping me if I could use my insurance to purchase a pair of sunglasses and she told me that this was not legal but that we "could fudge a little" and trick the insurance company into paying anyways. I declined. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when I received a bill in the mail last week for services that were rendered to me that I never asked for. When I called to protest they absolved my co-pay but still billed the Insurance company. My experience with Puyallup Vision is that they are un-ethical and have poor customer service. Dr. Linton has been my husband's and my eye doctor for over 20 years, and has been outstanding. He keeps his skills and knowledge up to date, truly cares about each patient, spends time and answers questions. His staff is friendly and welcoming. Once I scratched my eye on a branch in my garden on a weekend. It was extremely painful, so my husband drove me to the emergency room where it was going to be a long wait. While there he called Dr. Linton's office, left a message. Dr. Linton called back within 10 minutes, told us to come over to his office and he drove from his home to meet us, care for me. This was above and beyond what I expected, and my eye has healed, is fine now, thanks to Dr. Linton's dedication. read more

I have purchased my glasses here for many years. A year ago I needed computer glasses (a focus range of about 30"). They did it perfectly -- and it wasn't anything I could find at other places. This year I switched to Dr. Linton as well. He is knowledgable, willing to discuss various options, and produced an excellent prescription. I noticed that the technology he uses is advanced but not excessive -- he's obviously selective and knows what's important. For example, he use Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) instead of dilating my eyes. This produced a 3 dimensional model of each eye that he used to examine it's health -- and he allowed me to see and explained everything he saw. Puyallup Vision Center is small enough to provide a personalized experienced, and high tech enough to provide state of the art care. read more

My actual visit here was perfectly fine. They seemed organized and were professional. When I left they stated they would make my next year's appointment. I requested they not do that as I work full time with children. A year later I received a call saying my appointment had to be canceled as the doctor would be out that day. Ok great! I didn't make the appointment anyways and requested they not make it on my behalf. I am pregnant and would prefer to wait until after the birth to get my eyes rechecked anyways. Then starts the calls. I got several calls while I was working, several emails, and several texts. All stating I needed to schedule an appointment. I replied to an email saying I would make an appointment when ready and got another email today. I have unsubscribed from texts and emails. At this point just hoping they don't call anymore! Not sure I will reschedule for my yearly if you get this treatment every year. read more

He listened to my issues with glasses (multiple pair to get through various activities) and clearly explained my options. Why would I have glasses and issue prescription for glasses if my vision was 20/20' you also were the one who said my eye sight had been fluctuating due to my diabetes, I'm the person driving not u and can tell I struggle with driving and vision at night. Then I get new lens designer frames and then supposing came back after my complaint with a huge scratch hmmmmmm. Would not recommend anyone going here. read more

Ive been to other eye doctors, who I've had no luck with. I was referred to Dr. Linton by one of my close friends, who had nothing but good things to say about the doctor and his staff. What did i have to loose? I scheduled my appointment, the lady i talked to was very nice, she helped me figure out my insurance and even though i had to wait a couple weeks to get in (I have a very busy schedule) I was able to get the time that i wanted. When i walked in to the office for my appointment, i was greeted by two wonderful front office ladies who made me feel very welcome. Not too long after i checked in, the doctors technician came out and took me back and got things started. She was awesome! She took the time to explain everything that we were about to do and why we had to do it, then when Dr. Linton came in he was very professional, you could tell that he loves his job. At the end of my appointment, i was walked out by the doctor, and was seated to look at glasses. It seemed like i tried on a million frames, all the ladies in the office gave their opinion and i was able to find one that i love. Never once did i feel like i was being rushed. I'm so happy with my new glasses, and i will defiantly be back next year, and will tell all my friends and family about the wonderful experience i had at Puyallup Vision Source.
