Stopped into Providence randomly and decided on this place based on amazing reviews and menu. We ended up getting the Ika Ponzu salad, mocktail Strawberry Seoul, Spicy Scallion Noodle, PVD Chicken Ramen, Karage, AND Griddled Muffin Splits - black sesame muffin with matcha ice cream. Service was amazing, Nicole had great recommendations and was so nice throughout, such good knowledge of the menu and everything was amazing. Portions were amazing and we loved that everything was served on the side to add in as much or as little as we desired. The dessert was the perfect balance and absolutely amazed us. For $60 for all this, I couldn't recommend this place more. read more

Oh my god one of the best meals we have had in Rhode Island. We had the chicken ramen and the sumo katsudon and they were incredible- so flavorful, impressive portions, reasonably priced, and such a great mix of textures and flavors. Highly recommend. Got to try a "little" bit of everything since it was a reservation for a big party. Food: everything was good. Ramen, cold noodles, karaage, korokke, tofu, pasta, etc. Menu items that are traditional tastes traditional (homemade) and fusion / contemporary asian cuisine tastes new and inspired. So much food. Never left a restaurant without finishing everything on the table until now. Service was great. Accommodating and makes sure we know what we're eating and how to eat it. Tl;dr: Large portion sizes. Good value. Friendly and quick service. Could increase flavor a little more, but I would come back. I wavered between 4 or 5 stars on this one. I'd give it 4.5 if I could. The serving sizes are enormous. More than worth what they are charging. Frankly, I'm confused how they could be making money. I had the karaage as a starter. It could easily be a entree if you add rice. Loved the variety of dipping sauces. The chicken was very crispy. Also fell in love with the marinated tomatoes. It was my favorite thing I ate. I also got the sumo katsudon. Again, ridiculously big. Easily shared between 2-3 people. The pork katsu was made very well. I even got more of the tomatoes I am now addicted to. I think the omelet/rice could have a little more flavor though. It was the only thing preventing me from giving a full 5 stars. I'd definitely come back. I'm intrigued by their other menu choices (looking at you spicy scallion noodles) and their drinks (which sound amazing but I didn't get to try). I'd bring a bigger appetite or come with a group though. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but this has been the worst experience i've had coming to a restaurant! straight to it, our waitresses constantly kept giving my table weird & dirty looks for absolutely no reason. we were loud, but so was the other tables and the restaurant as a whole. not to mention we were very respectful and polite so there would be no reason for us to receive dirty looks. when handing us our checks we were not asked if we were ready, instead the waitress put the tablet down without saying a word . in my opinion, i find that was rude. as a waitress myself you're to ask if the table is ready for their check but obviously this person had communication issues or had just started working lol!! an issue occurred when splitting the bill because we wanted to do it correctly where we could pay the bill off by what each person got so it took us awhile and obviously we looked like we were struggling. i look up and the lady in the photograph was laughing at our table and immediately stopped when I looked at her. at that point we decided that the service was not deserving for a tip. when getting ready to head out my friends left to go to the bathroom one by one and I sat and watched the lady in the photo give dirty looks to each of them. at that point i was fed up and confronted her and asked why she laughed at us and her response was " because you guys didn't leave a tip" while smiling like a weirdo. i responded and said " you guys are rude " and left it as that. i was contemplating on whether i should include the photo or not but i think yall should know who im talking about. will definitely be back to eat food was bomb read more

Decided to try this place as we seen it on IG. The place only has like 3 small tables, a bar for 7 and a big table. We put our names down for the bar as all tables seemed reserved. I think we waited about 20 minutes. The menu is simple and they have a seasonal dish. We ordered the short rib ramen, soba noodles with shrimp tempura, a pot of hot milk tea and for dessert was the sesame split muffin with matcha ice cream. Everything was good minus the dessert. The sesame muffin didn't taste like sesame & it was slightly burnt. The matcha ice cream didn't have enough matcha flavor either. The entrees were super good, the meat on the rib fell off the bone and the soup was very flavorful as well. The ramen was very bouncy! For the soba, it was your typical soba , very bouncy and the dipping sauce was just right. The hot milk tea was good, not sure what tea they used as it had a different taste from our regular milk tea. We would definitely go back and try the other items on the menu. read more

Love, love and love this place. Small, quaint but really cute. Had a random visit here after seeing The Temptations at PPAC. I honestly think this was the best ramen I've ever had. It was reasonably priced and I really could have eaten off it twice. The chicken was soooooooo delicious. Also, I love how they don't automatically assume everyone wants everything in their noodles. They place the sides (seaweed , wasabi paste, eggs, etc.) on saucers and you get to pick what you'd like to put in your noodles. I also liked that I was able to request how I'd like my egg prepped. I had dinner here a few months ago and it was memorable. The hostess was awesome, really friendly and accommodating. She took the time to explain the dishes and sides... great touch. Service was excellent overall which made for a nice night. Food was top notch. The pickled sides were wonderfully sour... you have to try the pickled cherry tomatoes. Ramen was epic and the pork katsu was great, loved the omelette under that katsu. Overall food exceeded all expectations. Location is nice too, very appropriate for a ramen bar. Had good lighting and everything looks nice and fresh inside. You should really give this spot a visit. As I think about all the restaurants I've been to this year, this one stands out. read more

I had the Beef Udon Special, and it was the best all around tasting broth I have ever had from a restaurant. The udon were tender but firm to the chopsticks. The beef was almost ethereal, it had enough consistency to hold the excellent flavor of the beef, while almost melting when I chewed. The mushrooms were the best I have had anywhere. When I asked, I was told they are local mushrooms, which not only added to my enjoyment, but explained the familiar, almost nostalgic flavor. Like the Udon and the Beef, the mushrooms had the perfect consistency. This meal was without a doubt my all time favorite in Rhode Island, and we are Rhode Islanders from way-back. I was equally impressed with my wife and daughter's meals (PVD chicken Ramen, and the scallion noodle-a cold but spicy dish). I wanted to steal more bites from theirs, but I could not tear myself away from my udon beef, and they were less generous than normal. PVD Noodle has done Rhode Island proud. I've only gone here one time and I had never been to a restaurant like this. I was really getting into oriental flavors and ramping up my ramen skills ;) so, I need to see what pvd had to offer. Unfortunately the night I went out was so late and the restaurant was out of a lot of their dishes/menu items. I selected something that was kind of simple although I don't remember the name. My friend got another something that I don't remember. The portion sizes were quite fair. I really want to go when they aren't so busy and give a few different things on the menu that looked good a try. I would recommend this place. It's cozy, casual, paid back and the prices are more than fair. The place inside was very chic and modern looking although there was not a ton of room. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic. Went there with my mom for a bite before catching a show and it was the best. We both ordered the PVD chicken ramen and it was absolutely out of this world. The service was also very good and we didn't have to wait very long for our food or our order to be taken. I really enjoyed the portion size for the price as well. I ordered a noodle dish and the mushrooms in it were very delicious. I believe this was a vegetarian option even though it was very flavorful.
