These plumbers pulled our toilet to clear the clog, then put a camera in the system and found that we have a collapsed pipe. Heidler put a camera in but said it was too dark to see. The current plumber said it was too dark because the clog had not been removed. He also said that we are their second client this week where they were called because Heidler failed to correct the issue. When we called Heidler and told them that the toilet was backing up again, we were told that their work is not guarenteed. After seeing this review Heilder contacted us and refunded our payment.

The team went above and beyond by removing an unsightly electrical conduit that was no longer being used but was still attached to my house in the same area where they were installing the AC system. The only thing that could have been better - when the team arrived to do the install they had a plan showing where the various components were to be installed. I would have preferred to see that plan before the team arrived to do the work.

There have never been any issues, so there was no doubt in my mind that when my HVAC unit died, I would go to them to get a new one. It started well with the sales team, and the installation team showed up right on time. Then everything started going south. I only have a tiny condo, 1200 square feet, so they gave me a time frame of 4-8 hours. At hour 10, they finally gave in and left the job 98% done. The head technician was visibly and very vocally annoyed the entire day. As they were finishing up, the other technician broke off the tube to my humidifier, and the head technician's frustration took over. They informed me that they had contacted the office, and Grove would be reaching out to arrange for someone to come and ensure the humidifier was fixed and a new tube was installed. This was on Monday; by Friday, I had not heard from Grove, so I called to inquire. While I was on the phone with them, I received a text stating they needed to schedule someone to come out and finish the job (in so many words). It was odd that I was on the phone for this issue when, all of a sudden, I got a text to schedule, but I just brushed it off as a coincidence. They gave me a time frame for the following Monday from 12-4 pm. It was my ignorance that I thought, "Hey, they didn't finish the job. I am sure they will put me close to the front of the line since it was their issue not finishing the initial job." Well, I was wrong. The technician arrived at 3:45 and assessed the necessary work, only to realize he didn't have PVC glue and would have to return to the shop to pick some up. This added another 30-40 minutes waiting around for him to come back with glue to finish the job. Now, Grove called me to schedule a pre-inspection before the county came out for the final inspection. This was when it became apparent that this company had no respect for its customer's time. They scheduled the next appointment from 12-4 pm. At 3:35, I received a test from the technician stating they would be here in 50-60 minutes, which is approximately an hour late. I had plans and rescheduled. I was not pleased to have 4 hours of my time wasted, but things happened. I got rescheduled and had to take the day off of work for the appointment. Once again, a 12-4 pm appointment. Once again, around 3:30, the office texted me that the technician was running late and that they would let me know once they had an exact time frame. I called to get clarity on the issue and realized I am now at their mercy. The office called back less than five minutes later to inform me that the pre-inspection was completed on the same day my humidifier was fixed. Overall, I had to miss work and waited over 8 hours for nothing. I would never recommend this company to anyone. There are apparent issues with the managerial staff who runs appointments and customer service. The lack of communication amongst themselves and the lack of basic customer service was extremely disappointing. With the numerous companies available, I look forward to taking my business elsewhere.

I called them back to make the purchase and there was one additional item that they said would probably add about $250 to the estimate. I said "fine", get me the new one and let's book that start date. They then send me an estimate for $12,441 - WAY MORE than the $250 they said. No real explanation was given other than that was their new price. Don't trust these folks - I never will again.

We did this based on an excellent experience in our previous home in Annapolis, MD where they did a large basement renovation project for it. They helped us install a beverage refrigerator in a wet bar, put recessed lighting into multiple rooms, and installed ceiling fans. The work was extremely well done. We also had them do all the work while we were away and we came home to the work 100% finished and the project areas spotlessly clean. During the entire process our project manager communicated clearly via email and text messages about our project. Their communication and professionalism is unmatched. If you are looking for a contractor to assist with a renovation, remodel, or addition, I'd highly recommend you contact Bohan Contracting!

SLOPPY and INEPT…read more Run, do not walk AWAY from Bohan Contracting! For 2.5 years we have been dealing with this inept, insulting, incompetent company. According to several subcontractors, Bohan was a good company initially, but they became greedy and took on too many projects. According to subcontractors in the area we have consulted with, superior Annapolis contractors refuse to work for them, in a few cases calling out their "designer" Jaime Esposito in particular. Bohan parked a huge dumpster in our driveway, insisted that we be out of our house in early January 2022, though the work on our house didn't start for MONTHS. Bohan's trucks from other parts of town would arrive nightly to dump their garbage. Bohan's workers told us they weren't allowed to dispose of refuse in the other neighborhoods in which they were working. That speaks to the consistent mistreatment of us and another family on our street who hired Bohan, judging our neighborhood to be not worth prioritizing. They are still not finished with either project! They've left us twisting in the wind -- but have had no problem collecting money from us. We were told we would be out of our house for 5 - 6 months and it turned out to be almost 16 months! The cost was almost TWICE their quote. Bohan's workers barely spoke English, were sloppy, didn't measure anything and were completely unskilled. On one visit to the site, they had to find a child who spoke English to even be able to communicate with us. Every subcontractor Bohan hired appeared to be the bottom of the barrel. Every day we find mistakes and poor workmanship. It was, and continues to be, the most depressing and disappointing experience we've ever had. They refused to compensate us for any of the aggravation they put our family through. We ended up sleeping in the workshop of our carpenter son, who was unable to work for the entire 15+ months we were forced to stay there. The architect/engineer DAMES Design, who we had great hopes for, left out items such as the water heater, found egregious errors in Bohan's work (including going over her head to hire a different engineer) but then told us WE had to pay her an extra $2000+ for dealing with it! Avoid DAMES Design! Advice before renovating your house -- HAVE A LAWYER on hand to read the contract first and to be ready for litigation.

We looked for bids from 4 different HVAC companies to install a system or systems to reduce our energy costs in the winter and give the house A/C in the summer. The bid from Ambient was on par with everyone else but we liked our interaction with Bryan and wanted to support a smaller, local company that would hopefully be responsive to any issues or problems that arose. We are glad we went with them. The guys at Ambient installed 2 full mini-split systems (2 exterior units and 8 interior units) in our old home. It was a lot of work for the install and a lot of work getting them setup correctly. Bryan and his guys were timely & responsive through the whole process. Even when a late phone call from me would probably go to voicemail with any other company, Bryan still answered and was quick to fix our issue. This was the most uncomfortable experience of my life. There is nothing scarier and weirder than a…read moreman who will not take no for an answer. I was charged $2807 to replace 6 outlets. Incredibly overpriced in my opinion along with other electrician company I contacted. But honestly that wasn't the main issue. This was maybe the most annoying and oddest consultation of my life. From the very beginning I was being very clear that I only wanted my outlets replaced, nothing else. I reiterated this verbally in person. The technician, kept on trying to sell me a membership and additional services. I would say "I just want my outlets fixed" and then he would completely ignore me and go on to sell me about replacing the circuits. This happened over and over again. I would say "please I don't want this service" and then he would just go right back to other services. I actually couldn't believe what was happening. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire time. For the 4th time, I was again very direct in not wanting any additional work. I literally said "I do not care for anything but the outlets". But he just didn't care and kept going for 15 minutes about working on my panel. Like oh my god, what is happening. It was additionally rude when I told him I was on a time crunch but then he still spent 30-40 mins creating an additional 4 quotes for the work that I insisted I didn't want. They straight up did not care about me and what I wanted. He kept saying I'm the top priority while also completely disregarding what I do not want. If a customer tells you to stop, please stop. I was incredibly upfront with the services that I wanted but this guy was on a mission to charge me $9356. I ultimately didn't continue with this company and reached out to another one who did the work for $300, which was the quote I also received from other electricians in the area. I truly do not know how they justify charging $2807 for only 6 outlets. Listen to the other reviewers. I had the same experience of the worker just looking for upgrades rather than what I called for. He spent nearly 20 minutes analyzing my electrical panels to see where he can charge me additional services after I just told him I only want the outlets. Stop trying to phrase this is for your customers when you blatantly ignore their needs and wants. This was such a weird experience and I lost $89 for the dispatch fee.
