Super fun dining concept with a bar! Tried this for the first time and had a blast! What drew me in was the Not-So-Little Fried Chicken Sandwich. So good but be forewarned that the little bun in the middle seems to be for holding the sandwich, not so much for eating. It's edible, just super dry and hard. The breast was pounded thin and the breading was seasoned and crispy. I also absolutely loved the Pym-ini Sandwich, a pressed sandwich with salami, ham and cheese in a toasted focaccia. But if you look at my picture, it is small. You can compare it to the dipping cup of marinara. Small serving but perfect if you want something to tie you over until the next fun food at the park. The chocosmash is worth the buy. Fun tongue-in-cheek packaging saying it is "bite-sized". You also can't go wrong with the quantum pretzel with the beer cheese dipping sauce. We ordered from here via the app to save waiting in line. We picked here as it seems the portion sizes were shareable (as this was our third day of Disneyland resorts I was tired of overpaying for lukewarm mediocre food. While the food here was "big" and "shareable" it was definitely not anything amazing. We got the not so little chicken sandwich ($15.49) and quantum pretzel ($12.99 +.89 for extra beer cheese). The not so little chicken sandwich is a large chicken piece that reminded me of country fried steak (but way thinner). It was hard to tell in parts if it was actual chicken or just breading. But I paid a lot of money for that bad boy so I was eating it. We basically but off all the excess "meat" into strips and left the rest for the "sandwich" portion. To be honest it had so little of a flavor which I found to be true of basically everything we ate at Disneyland. The Quantam pretzel. It was big, it was soft, it was doughy. It was barely warm. As as the "beer cheese." The beer cheese was the biggest travesty of this meal. It bore little resemblance to any kind of cheese sauce I have ever had. It was super watery and had an "essence of beer" and not a very good one at that. It tasted very fermented. We basically didn't eat any of the cheese and saved the pretzel for the kidlet to snack on through out the day. Seating here was impossible. We had to walk to the "testing area" next to Terran treats and by the shawarma cart. The staff there were nice and asked if we had any "feedback" about the experiments to share. We knew the Quantum Pretzel was large so that and two drinks was all we ordered for lunch. The pretzel was great and easily filled two of us. The proton punch was delicious and refreshing. The Avengers had a show on the roof across the street. We turned and watched it comfortably from the shade of table. Didn't plan that but it was a nice surprise. Waiting in line for counter service you will see a conveyor belt of pretzels on the ceiling being turning in to jumbo or teeny tiny sized snacks. This kept the kids entertained for sure. The food was just ok. My daughter got the kids PB&J which she didn't really care for- her favorite thing was the yogurt with boba on top. Fun environment, excellent theming, and better than your usual theme park fare. The customer service, as is usually the case at Disneyland, was top notch. We didn't want to risk standing in a huge line so we did mobile order through the Disneyland app in the morning and selected our lunch pick up time. Everything went smoothly and as expected with that. My wife ordered the Atomic Fusion Pretzel and I the Pym-ini Sandwhich. We both loved the presentation and found our meals to be tasty. There's more than enough creativity on this menu to warrant a return (which we definitely will). Catfished & horrible noise.... The photos don't quite look like what the food looks like, portion wise, see attached photos. The chicken sandwich looks HUGE in their advertising. Super thin slice of chicken & the bun is tiny. The line inside there is an extremely annoying loud sound that goes off every few seconds, it's their pretzel decor (also seen in photo). It was my first time trying the Pym Test Kitchen, and I had so much trouble deciding what to order. Everything looked so delicious and I loved how they truly made the dishes match the Ant-Man and The Wasp theme. The giant meatball was a cool concept but it was very difficult to eat. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich though. It's a bit strange eating it because of the bun to chicken ratio, but it's fun and tastes great. My favorite part, however, was the garlic tots that are served with the chicken sandwich. They were amazing: crispy on the outside and incredibly flavorful. One thing that did put a damper on our experience was that we got chewed out for adding water to a drink we got at the Pym Tasting Lab. We got the Honey Buzz, and it was so sweet that we had to water it down. Even after we told the cashier that it was water, explained why we were adding it and offered for him to check that it was, in fact, water, he continued to lecture us. Impossible Quantum Garden ($12.49, Grade F for creativity, Grade A for Taste): Plant-based folded omelet with Impossible breakfast sausage and crispy garlic tater tots with a triangle wedge of Focaccia toast. The omelet is most likely "Just Egg" and all they did was warm it up. Didn't even change the shape of it. The Impossible breakfast sausage the same ... just warmed up and served in the same shape it comes in the frozen packaging. They do add garlic to their tater tots and they were crispy as described in the menu. BUT, I buy these at my local grocery store and literally have made this same exact meal at home. Bottom line: I'm very grateful they offer a vegetarian meal, but being Disney, I would expect them to make it Magical. The pre-fixed vegetarian meal is nothing more than frozen foods warmed up. I would have liked to try the tiny fried egg for the cheekiness of it all, but since you cannot make any substitutions, this wasn't an option. Heavy and overworked, the food and drinks follow a grow/shrink culinary theme in line with Ant-man science. Conceptually, I liked it a lot and some of the restaurant props like the pretzel conveyor belt and giant ketchup and mustard bottles were nice. All of our food seemed extra sweet, salty, or saucy. It was a very heavy lunch and you know it was heavy if I was eating tater-tots as a palette cleanser and stealing some of my kids baby carrots to try to thin out the dense flavors. Not so Little Chicken Sandwich: Fried Chicken Breast, Teriyaki and Red Chili Sauce, and Pickled Cabbage Slaw on Brioche, with tater tots. The buns are smaller than slider buns and the fried chicken would be overflowing even on a larger-than-normal bun. If you consider this just fried chicken breast and the buns tiony little finger-protectors to keep your fingers clean it could be OK but the sauce and slaw made it too rich. PB3 Superb Sandwich: warm PB&J with Banana and Candied Bacon on bread, served with a mini Banana Smoothie and tater tots. Already sweet, the addition of candied bacon made it too much. We got this for the kids to share but ended up pulling the banana out and gave that to them with tater tots for lunch, our sweet loving kids saying they didn't like it. Pym Test Kitchen is the main dining restaurant in Avengers Campus. The idea of the food is that it is ridiculously-sized, either large or small, to illustrate the "test" in the Test Kitchen. Of course I had to sample their food on my first-ever visit to the new theme park land. Didn't feel like the Pym-ini Sandwich, which seems to be a very popular go-to here. Opted instead for the Not so Little Chicken Sandwich, which in actuality is just a really huge fried chicken breast cutlet that has two slider-sized buns on either side of the cutlet. Obviously, anyone in their right mind wouldn't actually try to eat this as a sandwich. Definitely went straight to the fork and knife. Anyways, chicken cutlet was good, but nothing to write home about. I actually picked a side of marinara to go with, and I thought that made the cutlet WAY better. Also, can't go wrong with tater tots on the side. Thankfully, mobile ordering is good to go here. But they are SUPER backed up at all times. If you plan to order something, make sure you order it way ahead of time. The ASAP timeframes are usually at least a 30 minute wait. Even after I said that I was ready for them to prepare my order, it still took a good 15 minutes before getting my food. I am a fan of Pym Test Kitchen as it is better than the usual eateries in the Disneyland Resort. Though this was a unique looking sandwich that represents the theme of AntMan, eating it was quite an unsatisfactory journey. I cut the chicken to a small size that fits the bread area, which is the only "sandwich" you'll actually be eating. The rest are just chicken bites you dip in the ketchup sauce you get for your tater tots. While the experience was not as exciting, the taste itself also was disappointing. You literally have to spread the sauce under the confined space of the bread so that you're not gasping for air when your entire throat is extremely dry. Me and my crew ate here back in June. Did it live up to the hype? For me, the food flavors fell flat. It is the only sit in eatery, besides the food carts, in the new Avengers Campus. The interior design and concept is super cute. The premise is the test kitchen lab of PYM laboratory. The test kitchen mission is to use PYM particle technology to feed the world. When I visited the park in June, the ordering app was behind and it was quicker to order in person which I did. The cast members were all fabulous!! They are dressed in white pants, shirt, and lab coat with a black tie. As you stand in the ordering queue, check out the pretzels hanging on the lab conveyor belt. It gets zapped and poof... it's turns to a giant pretzel. Well not really, just in the Avenger Campus world! :D There was not a lot of indoor seating. We carried our trays quite a distance to the outdoor dining patio past the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. Quantum Pretzel $12.99: It's a hefty 1 pound. It has a dense, soft, chewy bread texture with dark brown crisp outside. It's sprinkled with rock salt. Yummers! It comes with a side of sharp cheddar beer sauce. My gripe is that the sauce serving size is too skimpy for the size of the pretzel. Come on,l Disney, it's a quantum size pretzel... pump up the size of the sauce container to match. Honestly one of the best experiences I've had at a theme park restaurant. Came here for a late afternoon meal before heading to LAX for a red-eye and watched the marvel shows from the patio. Got the panini, elote pretzel, a fizzy mocktail, and the candy bar all to share. The panini and the candy bar were phenomenal, and we were fighting over who got the last part of the candy bar. I think it would've been cooler for this to be a cake that just looks like a candy bar, but anyways. (I got lots of ideas, hire me Disney.) PRICE: Any foods in the land of the big mouse will cost top dollar, we know this. I won't complain about the price of the entrees, but the candy bar dessert was a whopping $8. Which, for what it was, is a lot. CONCEPT: As far as creativity with the theme, I think I was expecting a bit more. It's cool that some of the menu items are "big" and some are "small" but not every item fits these categories. I wanted to see normal-sized entrees turned into really teeny bite-sized foods, but we got sliders... with a big chicken cutlet that seems confusing to eat. Feels like there were some missed opportunities here. The only ones that stand out to me as far as creativity are the "giant spoon" meatball pasta and the "mega-sized" candy bar (which, even though it's about a foot long, is just not that impressive for some reason). Definitely a fulfilling meal! I had their Not So Little Chicken Sandwich and it was worth the hype! The chicken was very crunchy but still so moist. It was incredibly delicious and I would eat it again, despite the too small bun. lol, I do wish they gave me more tater tots though. My husband had he peanut butter sandwich and he really liked it. However, it was a bit overpriced for what you're getting...but I mean it is Disneyland. lol I will say the service is ok. It's a bit slower when it comes to preparing the mobile orders, but I think it was worth it. Considering the other options around. read more

Hate to give a bad review for something Disney, but this place is terrible. We ordered quite a few items on the menu. Had the chicken sandwich, pasta dish, buffalo pretzel, and a couple kids meals. None of the food was warm, was very dry, and hard to choke down. It was so bad I thought of bringing it back, but this seems par for the course, and I'm not sure what they would have done. Even the yogurts for the kids meals were weird. 2 of the yogurt slops were sweet and one had no sweetness at all. Just terrible food overall and somewhere that I would never eat at again. The head chef here needs to be changed to someone else as there is a lot of potential. This may have been one of the worst meals of my life. read more

My girlfriends and I were super excited to try PYMs test kitchen with the new opening of the Avengers Campus. The ordering process was pretty simple through the app. We ordered through the Disney app and scheduled a pickup time for 11:50 - 12:30pm. I recommend placing your order an hour before, since the pick up time windows get full. We placed the order about an hour and a half before pick up. The seating area was packed. Luckily, we found a seat and could watch black widow and black panther kick some butt right across from us at the Avengers headquarters. We ordered the Quantum Pretzel and the Not so Little Chicken Sandwich. The pretzel was huge, but unfortunately didn't come with enough cheese to dip. The pretzel was fresh and fluffy inside. We split it amongst 4 people and couldn't finish it all. For the chicken sandwich, we expected it to be big from the pictures, but I guess the tiny bun created an optical illusion, because it actually wasn't that big! The chicken was flavorful and reminded me of Japanese katsu. The bun was stale and hard, which no one ate. Honestly, I wouldn't call this a sandwich but just fried chicken! The tater tots were standard, but I wish they would give more. The food didn't exceed our expectations, but it did look really good for those IG stories haha. read more

Pym Test Kitchen is inside of the newly opened Avengers campus and offers views of the Avengers headquarters just across the way. The interior is classic Disney with everything done up big (and small)! In testing the pym particles, you get served up either very big or very small pieces of food relative to other items in your meal. Super cool concept and very different than any other Disneyland Park restaurant! They offer impossible meat with their Impossible Spoonful entree. You get one big meatball and one regular sized one as well as rigatoni pasta and smaller circle pasta. It's served in a giant spoon and they give you a little fork. Impossible meat is always good but the pasta was just ok. It didn't taste gourmet by far but its presentation was fun and unique! The Pym-ini looked really small. It's served with an arugula salad. My sister said it was just good. Nothing fantastic about it. The Not So Little Chicken Sandwich comes with a giant fried chicken slab in between two baby buns with tots on the side. Again presentation was super cool but the food itself was ok. Being in the Avengers campus definitely heightened the experience but still, the food wasn't spectacular. Although the food fell flat, their beermosa tasted divine! Would definitely get it again. Didn't feel like I was drinking an alcohol drink but I sure felt it! Comes in a cute souvenir beaker you can take home. They also have a separate bar area outside next to the restaurant that serve up different specialty cocktails/beer. I was so excited to try the foods here! Order via Disneyland app about 2 hours ahead of time. I suggest your party order to share. Quantum Pretzel ($13) - enormous salted pretzel that comes with a beer-cheddar cheese sauce, ketchup, and mustard. 100% sharing size. It's a good bread pretzel. Not So Little Chicken Sandwich ($16) - a flat piece of breaded fried chicken sandwiched between a smaller sized serving of brioche bun and coleslaw. Also comes with some tater tots. The coleslaw pairs well with the fried chicken, cuts a bit of the fat. The bun is small enough that it helps give you a hold on the sandwich while not overloading the carbs like a regular sandwich. The chicken was crispy and also not dry! PB3 Superb Sandwich ($13) - I think this was the weirdest one. This was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but with banana and candied bacon. It was super messy to eat because the banana slices do not stay put with every bite. This also comes with a tiny shot of a banana smoothie and tater tots. Choco Smash Candy Bar ($8) - It is a ginormous. Please share. Just imagine a giant snickers bar that also has a layer of brownie as the last bottom layer. This was good though but please don't order it just for yourself to eat. Overall, everything tasted really good!
