We had a family brunch before heading back home from a weekend trip to Disney. They were able to sit 13 of us comfortably. The staff was very considerate, timely, and attentive. The service was patient when we were ordering and didnt rush us to get them placed. When the food came out the portions were big. If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. The atmosphere is okay and the location is convenient, which is honestly the only positive thing I can say. Everything else was a major disappointment. The food was genuinely awful. It tasted like it had all been frozen, reheated, and thrown onto a plate with no care. Nothing felt fresh or made with any attention to detail. It was bland across the board, and not just "a little off", it was consistently unappetizing. The coffee "lattes" were disgusting. I could honestly make better at home, and that's not an exaggeration. The drinks overall weren't any better either. What makes it worse is the marketing. The way this place presents itself makes you expect authentic, flavorful Southern-inspired food with real quality behind it. In reality, it doesn't come close to that promise. It feels misleading. Overall, it was one of the more disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. I left genuinely surprised that the standards were this low given how it's advertised. This is a busy restaurant in a mall. Short and simple, I love the blueberry muffin that comes along with certain meals, the catfish platter was delicious over a bed of jambalaya. The Mississippi skillet was a normal breakfast dish, not much to brag about. Some of the items I didn't like were the fries and coffee. Fries didn't have that crunch I liked and the coffee had a dirty coffee maker after taste. I would rank it worst than most diner coffee. The service was exceptional. Good spot outside of Disneyland for a large group of people. They have a huge menu of food. I found the food to be very heavy and there's only one salad option. My party did enjoy having breakfast options available throughout the day. The service was very friendly but not very timely. We went at a time when the restaurant wasn't full, so I'm surprised by the long waits (for them to clear the table, to take our order, to check on us throughout the meal). read more

Exactly a year later, I decided to give Huckleberry's another shot. This time I ordered the southern swirl French toast and the mardi gras beignets. The French toast itself was amazing. It was thick, fluffy, and flavorful. The sides were just OK - the hash browns were a little dry with no seasoning, the eggs tasted like whatever it was cooked on/in, and the crispy bacon was barely crispy. The "beignets" aren't really beignets. They're very dense and heavy. It felt like the "beignets" were possibly leftover from whatever else Huckleberry's was baking. They also had ZERO flavor. They were not good at all - worse than what I remembered. The provided accompaniment of sauces couldn't even save them. From last year I remember the food offerings being decent - not good - but I oddly liked how dense the "beignets" were. Not this time. I have a feeling that the third time is not the charm, and I will stay away in the future. read more

My go to spot to eat breakfast away from Disneyland. They have great food here. Service is friendly. You can take the tram from Disneyland to the parking lot which is across the street from Anaheim Garden. They also do free validation for the first hour. My wife and I came here for breakfast. We had no reservations we just walked in and we were sat right away. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming. I had the view of the crocodile which moves from time to time. Waitress was nice but very fast paced she knew what she was doing. I had the country fried steak and my wife had the Cajun Benedict of course we tried each others food and honestly it didn't disappoint!! The food was fresh and flavorful. I gave it two stars because our server was very nice and apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. Inside looked promising when we got in. Once the food came out I was disappointed. Fried okra was not good. My wife loves okra but when she tried it, she didn't like it either. We sent it back and we told the server we were sorry but the appetizer wasn't good. She had the crab cake Benedict, had no flavor and the shrimp didn't look or taste like it. Probably frozen. She didn't want to eat it because she is particular about smelly seafood. I had the Big Cheesy, presentation looked good but once I started eating, the burger had no flavor either. I still finished it because I was hungry. Our waiter was very kind once again. Visiting the great state of California and stopped by this gem. The smells and pictures brought us in. There were so many good choices it was hard to choose. The portions were a great size and the food was good. A southern taste on the west coast. The indoor outdoor set up did leave us exposed to the chilly weather. The place was definitely full and I only waited about maybe five minutes to be seated. The staff is very friendly, super sweet and had a great service. The menu was extensive, and it was hard to choose. It definitely wanna go there again to try different things. The ambience was great. It felt like a southern kitchen. The peach tea was absolutely delicious. I would recommend. I got the country fried chicken platter and that was very filling. I took some of that home for lunch/dinner later. My husband describes this place as a fancy county IHOP. I was shocked at how large the portions were for the children's menu. Kid's Breakfast (one from each section) -Milk or a diff beverage choice -Egg: scrambled, over easy, over hard -Meat: bacon/sausage links, ham/sausage patty, chicken strip -pancake, French toast, 1/2 waffle, country red potatoes, fresh fruit Kid's Lunch -Hamburger -Pizza sticks -Chicken strips -Grilled cheese We came here hungry and left very full (with leftovers in tow). Cute little breakfast restaurant that's themed as being in the Bayou. I tried a cup of gumbo soup, it was good needed a little salt and pepper. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and that was yummy. The stacked chicken and waffles was a wonderful variation of flavor you get sweet and savory with the Sriracha aïoli being a nice kick. It was a big sandwich they aren't anal portions. Service was great, had different servers check in to see if things were going well. I definitely want to try more things on the menu here read more

Haven't been to Huckleberry's for a couple years and my friends invited me to join them for breakfast. Inside still looks the same, cute decor with some Christmas theming. Everything on the menu looked really good but I ended up getting the ribeye and eggs plate. It came with a muffin too which was yummy. Now being totally honest with you I wasn't expecting much from the ribeye. I was actually second guessing myself on ordering it. When it came out I cut into the ribeye and it was very tender and the inside was actually a nice medium rare which I asked for. The flavor was really good too! I was actually shocked at how good it was and for the price it's a no brainer. The service was excellent and everything came out great! We also ordered some beignets to share and they were great! The restaurant was a little tricky to locate because the gps led us to a hotel; however one of the valets was kind enough to give us directions as apparently this happens often. Luckily we went after their morning rush and the food came out quickly. Every bite was full of flavor and the servings were big enough to have a second portion to take home for later. Loved the Bloody Mary - can't beat the $8 price tag on that !! 2025 - you gotta be kiddin' me :D The crispy bacon was a nice add-on (if I am honest, the bacon is was drew me in - worth it). I ordered the breakfast burrito and asked for 1/2 to be packaged to go. I loved that it was packaged well enough to travel and was warm when I opened it to enjoy on a flight three hours later. The burrito is massive and had ample sausage. I will say, I definitely did need the Cholula because even with all the ingredients the flavor wasn't rocking my world but it was satisfying, just needed a little extra kick. Husband ordered the Stacked Chicken and Waffles and it came out looking just like that scrumptious picture. The restaurant will not split checks but they accommodated our very large group (around 20 ppl). We were able to identify which costs went to which card by writing in the last 4 digits. I would think this could be done in a better way BUT with such a large group we weren't going anywhere without a resy. The staff was nice, food came out quick. Everything was tasty. The restaurant wasn't too loud for us to have conversations and hear each other (at least on our portion of the table). All in all it was a very pleasant experience. read more

The food can greatly improve. Order grits they were not cooked they were gritty like someone just placed hot water in the pot and called it good no heat no low simmer just NASTY! Also had the sourdough French toast it's YUCK as well no fench toast at all tasted like some one toasted the bread and placed the sweet cream in the middle with strawberry topping no egg wash at all. I'm so happy I took a chance on this place!! It's located on the second level at Anaheim GardenWalk. -Back home we call it an outdoor mall or Town Center. My daughter and I were greeted at the entrance with a smile. She let us know that it would be around 10-15 minutes. My daughter ordered the kids pancakes, chicken strip and mixed fruit. I got the stacked chicken and waffles. - IT WAS SOOO GOOOD!!! So many different flavors going on here! Savory, sweet, crunchy and juicy chicken with fluffy waffles! I absolutely recommend this dish! This is a fun tourist spot in the Anaheim Gardenwalk with an interior loaded with swamp decorations and gators. Definitely stepping into another (super kid-friendly) world. The menu is Southern food and the portions are hearty. The tasty Bananas Fosters platter gets you eggs, bacon, or sausage, and the bananas, Foster French toast plus a couple of fried green tomatoes. I have to admit, the fried green tomatoes are my favorite thing I've had on their menu. My husband really enjoys the catfish - he lived on the Mississippi when he was in the Army and this is the first place he's found in California where he always orders the catfish. In fact, he calls Huckleberry's, "The catfish restaurant." The Mardi Gras beignets are good but too expensive for what you get -- spends that money on a side of fried green tomatoes. Brewed iced tea! If it's the weekend, expect a wait as the Disneyland crowd and the locals converge. After being tempted by the smell of some else's French toast the other day, we came back to give it a try. So glad we did! We ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict, which was served with delicious potatoes with onions and peppers--delish!!!! We also got the stuffed French toast, which was two pieces of French toast with a cream (similar to the cream in a Boston cream donut) in between, topped with fruit and dusted with powdered sugar. As good as it sounds. And we also got Hucks Combo, which has some choices--we chose scrambled eggs, waffle, and ham (really good ham). There were a lot of good choices for breakfast that are different from most other places. There are fried green tomatoes, beignets, and a New Orleans scramble with shrimp and andouille sausage that sounds amazing. More things to try next time! Again, such a cute, themed atmosphere. Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch I find it funny that the texans that were visiting California went to a place called Huckleberrys. It's very kitchy with a New Orleans flare, but I actually really enjoyed it. I think the food was delicious, and the portions were good. The portions would probably be big to people other than Texans. We ate inside and I'm happy we did because I feel like the service wouldn't have been as fast as if we ate outside. The service wasn't very quick to begin with inside, and we were right near the kitchen. But I'm not complaining, because we were able to just relax... we started ordering more food looking at the menu though, so maybe it was their game plan to begin with. Either way, I got my coffee refilled and had cream to go with it and so I was happy as a clam. The beignets we're okay, but I liked the skillet more.
