I've been to this bakery quite a few times, and it's a solid spot for Japanese-style pastries. I usually grab a few pastries and a cold brew for myself, plus a banana matcha for my best friend. Today's cold brew was perfect. One time before it had a strange chemical-like taste and I couldn't finish it, but I think that was just a one-off because it's normally really good. The banana matcha was good too, although it could've used a little more banana foam this time. The lines can get pretty long, so I was glad it wasn't too busy today. My favorites are the fish sandwich pastry and the jalapeño cheddar pastry. This time I also tried the salt and cookie butter croissant, the s'mores Danish, the Nutella banana Danish, and the turkey and cheese croissant. I was here just last week and i really liked Okayama Kobo Bakery. So i came back to try other items on the menu. Today i had the french toast, the chocolate Emoji and a Yokohama Peach tea. Their dough is always fresh and warm out of the oven. The filling is slightly sweet and with the perfect consistency. It is light and just melts in your mouth. The Yokohama peach is a peach flavored green tea. Refreshing and with just the right amount of sweet. Great spot for a quick breakfast bite on the go. Prices are great and so is the service. First time here, and I'm already a fan! There was already a line when got there (on a weekday), but that's to be expected. Thankfully, the line moved pretty quickly, although the bakery itself is small and can feel a bit tight inside. Long line worth the wait! This bakery truly took me back to Japan. The flavors, textures are all there. Every item is authentic Japanese. Exactly like Japan they have sweet and savory items. At 12pm, there was a long line outside, and at 1:30pm, there was a long line outside, but at 1pm, we were able to walk inside. The emoji breads tempted us with their cuteness, but we were very curious about the Oyaki Mentai Caviar's combination of spicy cod roe and mochi. To be safe, we also got the Mentai Salt & Butter Roll. While we liked the Roll and its crunchy outside/soft inside, we actually loved the Oyaki. The mochi isn't sweet at all, just nicely chewy. Plus, whereas the Roll only had a little bit of spicy cod roe inside, the Oyaki was packed! I say this a lot, but truly, everything looked good. I hope to come back and try their Paninis and Danishes. If they're anything like the Oyaki, they'll be distinct, delicious, and downright delightful. read more

Have frequented this location quite a few times but my sister and I saw the Cinnamoroll x Okayama Kobo collab and couldn't miss it. So close to getting a hoodie cause it was so cute! Customer service is great-- cashier was able to recommend his personal matcha favorites. Ultimately, I went with the matcha rose latte and liked how it had a balanced taste between the rose and matcha-- not too overpowering. My sister got the blueberry iced tea lemonade, which was refreshing. I didn't taste much of the blueberry though as it tasted more like just a black tea lemonade. Out of the pastries I got, I really loved the s'more danish but it was so tiny in comparison to the other pastries. Wish it was the size of the other pastries or the size of the strawberry croissant. I've had this bakery saved on Yelp foreverrrr and finally got a chance to visit... and somehow I picked the perfect time because they were doing a Sanrio collab featuring my favorite character, Cinnamoroll. The whole bakery was decorated in sky blue and white and it was honestly the cutest thing ever. I took way too many pictures for this review so please brace yourself lol. My visit was on a Saturday around 9:45AM and the line was LONG, probably around 30 people ahead of me, but surprisingly we got inside by 10:15AM so it moved pretty efficiently. The bakery is separated into two sections: drinks/cafe and pastries. The space itself is decent-sized but definitely more of a to-go and aesthetic type of spot. They do have a patio outside though, and the plaza has plenty of seating and space to walk around. For the collab, they had special drinks, pastries, merch, stationery, mugs, keychains, etc. I ended up buying the exclusive mug because it was way too cute to leave behind. Staff were super friendly and efficient even with how busy it was. I also liked that you could see the bakers working through the open kitchen window, and they were constantly restocking pastries. We got 6 items total: Salt & Butter Roll, Cookie Salt & Butter Roll, Fish Fillet Panini, S'mores Danish, Strawberry Cream Croissant, and Kobo Kuma Presentation-wise, everything looked amazing. Taste-wise, the regular Salt & Butter Roll didn't wow me. It was huge compared to other salt breads I've tried, but flavor-wise it felt a little bland and not buttery enough. The cookie version was much better, the crunchy outer layer added more texture and made the sweet/salty combo stand out more. The Fish Fillet Panini was really tasty. Fish was fresh, veggies and sauce worked well together, although I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the cheese crust outside. The S'mores Danish might've been the smallest item we got, but it absolutely carried. The marshmallow + chocolate ganache combo with the flaky danish pastry was sooo good. And the Kobo Kuma bun? Adorable. I love that every bear had a different facial expression. The bun itself was super soft and the custard filling was smooth and fragrant. I didn't get to try the Strawberry Cream Croissant myself but the person who had it he said he liked it, and he has very high standards when it comes to strawberry anything, so I trust that review. I think the line says it all. This was my 2nd time coming because the 1st time, the line was way too long and I had just left lol. The salt and butter roll is a must, but the banana Nutella danish was the BEST. I would honestly come back just for that alone. Their banana cream matcha was also really good, not too sweet at all. The salt and butter roll was perfectly doughy and buttery with a satisfyingly crisp bottom, while the spicy curry bun was packed with flavor and had a nice mild kick without being overwhelming.
