We had such a wonderful experience at En Familia! From the food to the ambiance and service, this was definitely a memorable meal. We started with the chorizo and cheese appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. The combination was rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the meal. For our entrées, we ordered the lobster enchiladas, al pastor salmon, and a burger, and everything was fantastic. The lobster enchiladas were incredibly flavorful and satisfying, the al pastor salmon had such a delicious combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the burger was juicy and packed with flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and had its own unique taste. Our server, Adolfo, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely helpful when we were trying to decide what we would enjoy. His recommendations made the experience even better, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance and music were fantastic and really added to the overall experience. It had a great energy that made it a fun place to enjoy a meal with the family. My husband ordered the Cocoguata, and he absolutely loved it. He thought it was amazing and said it was one of the highlights of the meal. The only small critique I have is that the broccoli served with my salmon was a little undercooked. I bit into a few pieces that were quite hard, which was a little distracting while enjoying an otherwise incredibly flavorful dish. That said, it was a minor issue and definitely didn't take away from what was overall a wonderful dining experience. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily come back!

I came here for a friend's birthday brunch! Could not be a better time. The food and the vibes were excellent. Only downside (through no fault of the restaurant) was Mariachi Brunch was not the move when you are extremely tired and hungover. But the Cafe De Olla and the French Toast brought us back to life! Service staff could have been a little quicker but it was Sunday brunch, so its understandable. Come for brunch, if it's Sunday just be prepared for loud Mariachi in case you are hungover.

Decided to try this place out for brunch and man are we happy we did! Given that today was a beautiful summer Saturday, I decided to make a last minute reservation to avoid the wait. (Because reservations are always a plus!) We were greeted by the sweetest person, definitely gave "Tía" vibes with her warm and fun demeanor. We sat in the patio, and thank goodness they had a fan going outside!! Our server, Cailin was super dope! She answered our questions and made excellent recommendations. I got the mole chilaquiles, and they were elite! My boyfriend go the machaca enchiladas and he cleaned his plate! Yup, gone! The cocktail selection is curated with so much passion and culture, you can taste it in their drinks. Definitely adding this to the brunch rotation!

I came with some friends for dinner. The restaurant wasn't busy and they were nice enough to seat us while we waited for our entire party to arrive. We order the prime ribeye steak and the steak salad. The ribeye was delicious and soft. The steak on the steak salad tasted a bit tough with simple seasoning. The salad was a bit plain so I asked for extra dressing on the side. The paomilla and the magoneada were both sweet and delicious.

We came to En Familia to celebrate my college graduation, and it was the perfect place for our long-overdue girls' dinner. We hadn't all been able to get together since graduating a few weeks ago, so this was a special evening. The ambiance is one of my favorite things about this restaurant. It has a rustic vibe that's somehow also modern and romantic. I could definitely see myself coming back for a date night or another celebration. We started with the Oro Verde, and wow... those homemade chips with the Morita seasoning were absolutely delicious! They were addicting and the perfect appetizer for the table. I ordered the Barbacoa Papa Taquitos. You get four generously sized taquitos, beautifully plated with crema, cheese, cilantro, and served over a bed of beans. They also came with a dipping sauce, which wasn't really my favorite, but once I added the green salsa the flavors really came together. For my personal taste, the taquitos could have used just a little more salt, but they were still very enjoyable. My friends ordered the shrimp Caesar salad and two Taco Trios (chicken, Wagyu beef, and surf & turf tacos), and everyone loved their meals. The portions were generous, everything came out fresh, and no one left hungry. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to make recommendations, which made the experience even better. Parking in downtown Anaheim can be a little challenging, especially with the Packing House and all the World Cup crowds nearby, so plan a few extra minutes. We ended up parking across the street and walking over, but it was definitely worth it. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with great food, generous portions, and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Came here for my boyfriend's bday and i booked a reservation for indoor seating. I waited about 2 mins before someone came to help, even tho the restaurant was fairly empty when we first came and the bartender had to call someone to help us. Then we got seated outside (its 90 degrees outside) and no one came to give us water for 10 mins (other people who got seated after us were seated indoors and served before us). i notified a diff waiter about the seating situation and we got seated inside so we had that new waiter after and everything went smoothly. Loved the bone marrow toast and pulparind-oh drink. The oysters had decent flavor, but i kept getting large pieces of shell in my mouth :/ ribeye tasted good too, but our piece of steak had a large tendon in it so i was chewing for a while. The tortillas ARE DELISH

Nice decor and lovely atmosphere. Large bar in the center inside, majority of seating outside. The my accommodated a group of 14. Fun cocktail menu, I order their take on the espresso martini, not my favorite, it was too thick for my taste. They even have some non-alch options as well. The service all around was very nice, informative and attentive. For a big party, they kept up very well. Everyone seemed to enjoyed their food, my friend raved about the lobster enchiladas. I ordered the scallops, nothing special. They were four total, the size of a quarter, not filling so I ordered shishito peppers. They were perfectly made, did not disappoint. I tried the mushroom medley and it was a little too salty for me. I also had a bite of the esquite risotto, I didn't taste the risotto at all, could've been a deconstructed elote plate.

Had a girls bruch here and raved about it after! Food and drinks were so yummy, full of flavor. Atmosphere was beautiful, and enjoyed a live Marriachi band that walked around. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Frida 17 was delicious!

I will start off with the pros. The ambiance was nice, the staff very personable and friendly. Valet parking was available, which was a plus. Food: I ordered suiza heese enchiladas , The sauce was delicious, the rice and beans also very good. I would definitely recommend this dish. Cons: We also ordered the scallops with elote risotto. The risotto was good, the scallops a huge disappointment. If you're going to serve scallops, please make sure they are fresh, not FROZEN. Especially if you're charging the price you would normally see for FRESH scallops. The scallops were fishy and extremely chewy.

    - Watermelon Nojito: refreshing watermelon juice. - Nance Nectar: refreshing, alc taste masked well. - Wagyu Old Fashion: can taste the beef fat and see the solids floating in the drink. - Pan Seared Chicken Mole: plain chicken with mole poured on top. not super cocoay. sweetness and texture from corn helped cut the sauce. - Wagyu Queso Fundido: cheesy and flavorful.

I booked a reservation to celebrate my brother's birthday at En Familia. We arrived at 6:15p on a Friday and seating was pretty open. They started getting a bit busier towards 7-8p. The ambiance is definitely fresh and fun for a bit of an elevated get together or date day. They have good music playing and the AC was nice on this hot day. What we ordered: Queso Horneado: This is like a queso fundido or melted cheese dip and tasted amazing with chips. The cheese was super gooey and it has chorizo but isn't overly salty. Tase of EnFamilia: I liked that they had this option as it provides a small mix of a few different appetizers to try without having to spend so much money or order so much food. Everything tasted pretty standard, just the sope was a little hard. Bluefin Tuna Aguachile: A fun variation of aguachile using bluefin tuna rather than shrimp. The tuna MELTED in my mouth and the sauce had a nice kick. I also appreciated that there was a good quantity of tuna on the plate. Prime Filet Mignon Fajitas: This came out on a fun sizzling stone plate. It was cooked perfectly and the meat was extremely tender. My husband definitely gave this one a 10/10. Lobster Enchiladas Suizas: The flavor of the sauce was pretty good and has a bit of a kick as well. It came with rice and beans which made it feel like a full meal. However, I couldn't really taste the lobster. Prime Ribeye Surf & Turf w. Upgrade of Lobster: This one was definitely a little disappointing. We ordered medium and it came out more on the rare side. They were sweet to take it back and correct it, but the meat was not tender and more chewy. We also couldn't really taste the lobster on this plate, so I probably wouldn't upgrade if I were to order again. I left a note stating we were celebrating a birthday and a complimentary dessert of churro bites and ice cream was brought out at the end of our meal. This was delicious and a perfect little treat to end the occasion. All in all, it's a good place to try and I appreciate the aesthetic. But I don't feel like the dinner experience was worth it. The cocktails tasted watered down, the appetizers started strong, but the mains fell a bit flat and the service was just ok. BE WARNED!!! They have a 3% credit card processing fee.

This was a great place to enjoy a nice Mexican brunch with delicious food, strong drinks, and great music. It would have been 5 stars if the menu online was updated. We had picked our meal earlier this week (molé chicken and waffles) only to learn that the menu online was not updated. We drove an 1.5 hours to check this place out and overall it was a great choice. Lots of parking, our server Chris was perfect. Funny, patient, kind and just what we needed today!

Back dated review May '26 This is about a visit that was for a birthday dinner with some girlfriends, that actually was for myself. We chose and Familia because we wanted tacos. It was Cinco de Mayo, and it was a good meet in the middle spot for us. We made a reservation and luckily for us we did because they were turning people away at the door if you didn't have a reservation, even though the restaurant was somewhat empty. They sat us at a decent size table across from the tiny little six top bar. Unfortunately, for us, there was a group of about 10 men watching the Laker game who seemed to be friends with the owners of the restaurant who stood around our table for about an hour, and we're screaming like they were at the sports bar. And from what we could tell, this place was not a sports bar kind of vibe. It took an entire hour for the waitress to come speak to us and take any drink order at all. To the point where we were closer to the bar where we should've just gone and ordered them from the bartender. We also saw what we believe were two of the owners just standing around watching their waitresses absolutely work themselves to death on Cinco de Mayo. When it finally came time for dinner, we had to ask for the special menu that they had advertised, and we proceeded to see that the drinks that we had ordered were triple the price of the Cinco de Mayo specials, but we were not offered that menu until after we ordered our drinks. We all ordered off the Cinco de Mayo menu, which had tacos for achiever price and you could add on sides of rice and beans. As pictured, I left some videos and photos of how greasy everything was. The rice was sitting in a pool of oil. It was overheated and crispy. The surf and turf taco had a soggy oil filled tortilla. One of the girls didn't get any toppings on her tacos as described and asked for a side of cilantro where she was given a bowl of what look like un prepped cilantro. I would probably never go back here. I would never recommend them. I feel like we fell into a tourist trap. If you could call it that. We went for good drinks, and they were good. But everything else made for not so thrilling in time and I'm upset that we spent any money here.

Decor: Perfect for spooky lovers Ambiance: Could use some music to match the theme Service: good & attentive waitress I actually ended up here by accident. I was trying to go to Villains Brewery. I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍

I used to work here years ago so I know how much care goes into the food & drinks. The Puesto Perfect Margarita is still my favorite margarita I've ever had. We stopped by on a Monday around 4:30 p.m. just before happy hour ended. It was nice & relaxed when we arrived. It only started getting a little busier as we were leaving. We took advantage of happy hour & ordered a few favorites. The potato taquitos have been one of my go-to menu items for years & are just as delicious as I remembered. Crispy on the outside, flavorful inside & served over a generous bed of fresh guacamole that makes every bite even better. We also tried one of the newer happy hour items the short rib mini burrito served with a green sauce. Both my husband & I really enjoyed it. The short rib was tender & the sauce added the perfect amount of brightness. I was happily snacking on the chips with the molcajete salsa. It's one of my favorite restaurant salsas. I also love the chips with Puesto Perfect guacamole. It makes it hard to stop eating. Since it was my birthday I treated myself to a Tropical Candy Shot. If you like bold flavors definitely order one. It reminded me of a Mexican street candy in shot form with a Tajín rim & a pineapple garnish. It was festive, flavorful & the perfect birthday treat. The sweetest surprise of the evening was the complimentary birthday dessert. A slice of pistachio tres leches cake. I love tres leches but I've never had a pistachio version before. It was incredibly moist & rich without being too heavy. The pistachios added the perfect crunch & nutty flavor. It was one of the highlights of the meal. One small detail I always appreciate is that they bring a pitcher of water to the table. This makes it easy to refill your glass throughout the meal without waiting. It's a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel more comfortable. I'm so glad we came back after not visiting for quite a while. I love the consistently amazing margaritas, delicious happy hour menu, & warm hospitality. The thoughtful birthday surprise made it even better. It was a wonderful way to celebrate. I'll definitely be back! If you're visiting for the first time do yourself a favor & order the Puesto Perfect Margarita & potato taquitos. (The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that.
