I've seen this restaurant a lot on instagram. So we decided to try it out before heading to our concert. The restaurant is beautiful. Nice atmosphere. The staff super friendly. We tried a couple of appetizers TASTE OF ENFAMILIA 42 1 Barbacoa Sope / 1 Chicken Mole Tetela / 1 Empanada / 2 Barbacoa Potato tacos ORO VERDE 14 Guacamole / House Made Chips / Burnt Lime Salt / Chile Morita Powder / Pico de Gallo QUESO HORNEADO 22 Wagyu Beef Chorizo / Queso Oaxaca / Bone Marrow Crema / Salsa Macha / Stone Ground Tortillas / Lavash / Crema We also got some drinks too PULPARIND OH! 17 Reposado Tequila or Mezcal, Tamarindo, Melon Juice, Agave, and a few drops of Japanese Chili. WATERMELON NOJITO w/ tequila 10 (Added charge for the tequila since this was a mocktail) Fresh Watermelon Juice, Coconut Mix, Lime Juice, Muddled Mint, Soda Water, Pineapple Agave, and Lemon. PULPARIND-NO 10 (mocktail) Zero Proof Bourbon, Agave, Tamarindo, and Fresh Melon. We really enjoyed the guacamole and the cheese dip. The barbacoa had a really strong cinnamon taste to it. It wasn't bad, but not to my liking. I would say if you're going to eat at this restaurant be prepared to spend some money. We were definitely caught off guard with some of these prices. But you can tell the quality of the food. If you want to try an upscale Mexican restaurant, I would say give this restaurant a try.
I was so excited to try En Familia, but it looks like everyone else was as well. The place was busy! We made reservations for Sunday brunch, and still had to wait. They were able to seat us outside, which we didn't mind because the mariachi was louder than imagined. Their food is delicious! I ordered their egg white omelette, and it was probably the tastiest healthy option I've ever tasted. Had to try a bite of their French toast and chilaquiles, which were both SO good. I love how flavorful each dish tastes, and would come back for their food. The service and wait was a bit frustrating, but luckily the food made up for it. Even after we were seated, we waited a very long time for our food to come out. Would I go back? Probably. Definitely not during a busy time, so hopefully we get better service. 5 stars for their food, one knocked off for service.
We just shared a few apps over drinks, and that was great! Even though we never got one of the apps we ordered, and one of the first drinks got forgotten on the bar counter, and never receiving the tap water we asked for instead of bottled still -- the quality of the food and drinks were great enough to look past that. The music is hip but loud, it's very aesthetic inside as well. Parking is generally difficult in the area, you can expect that here as well. I think I'll be back again, just hoping to get better service!
En Familia was a great Sunday stop. The chilaquiles horneados were super yummy, and the carajillo hit perfectly. Our server was really nice, and even with the mariachi, the vibe stayed enjoyable. Solid 4/5, I'd come back for those chilaquiles alone.
Had a birthday celebration on Sept 25th here, a Friday. Hostess was welcoming and said our rsvp table would be ready in a few minutes. We were seated timely and greeted by our friendly and helpful server April. She took down our drink orders post haste. The cocktails all received high praises. For the espresso martini flight that was suggested by April, the pistachio and Mexican chocolate were the favorites. Main course recommendations were all on point, shareable for our party size to where everyone was able to get a good bite in. Overall, the food, ambiance, and experience was excellent. Our server April was very engaging and hospitable. Based on our first experience here, we would come back again and also recommend to others easily.
We came in during lunch on a Sunday around 11:30AM while taking a break from D23. We had a reservation. TLDR the food was excellent and would come again. They had live music and all the food we ordered came in together. Food: We ordered the Prime Steak & Eggs, Horchata French Toast, and a chips & salsa. In social media videos we've seen complementary chips and salsa but they don't do that anymore and it's an a charge of $5. The Horchata French toast was huge and definitely tasted like horchata with a nice chill ice cream in the middle of it. The Prime Steak & Eggs was good too but a little under seasoned and came with tortillas to eat along with it. Definitely the food here can easily be shared. Service: The staff was quick and kind. They refilled our waters without asking and were prompt in removing finished plates. Ambiance: The place was very clean. They had Mexican music playing and even a live mariachi band playing going around to each table. They even took requests on songs. Parking: You're gonna have to find street parking and it may be difficult to find.
I came here for a friend's birthday brunch! Could not be a better time. The food and the vibes were excellent. Only downside (through no fault of the restaurant) was Mariachi Brunch was not the move when you are extremely tired and hungover. But the Cafe De Olla and the French Toast brought us back to life! Service staff could have been a little quicker but it was Sunday brunch, so its understandable. Come for brunch, if it's Sunday just be prepared for loud Mariachi in case you are hungover.
Decided to try this place out for brunch and man are we happy we did! Given that today was a beautiful summer Saturday, I decided to make a last minute reservation to avoid the wait. (Because reservations are always a plus!) We were greeted by the sweetest person, definitely gave "Tía" vibes with her warm and fun demeanor. We sat in the patio, and thank goodness they had a fan going outside!! Our server, Cailin was super dope! She answered our questions and made excellent recommendations. I got the mole chilaquiles, and they were elite! My boyfriend go the machaca enchiladas and he cleaned his plate! Yup, gone! The cocktail selection is curated with so much passion and culture, you can taste it in their drinks. Definitely adding this to the brunch rotation!
First off I have to say parking is unbearable. Which is why I took away a star. It took me 30 min before I ended up paying for valet at that point. 9$ so not bad. The area is nice and clean. I really enjoyed the calm vibe. Went during brunch for my birthday with my bestie on a Saturday so it was a busy. Music was loud but not too loud. Now let's get to the food I ordered the blueberry pancakes and OMG I LOVED THEM they were DELICIOUS. Then I also got the barbacoa potatoes skillet which was sooooo good. Will definitely be coming back soon

We had the tasajo, and we had the in Familia platter, which consist of an empanada taquitos a sope and a tortilla with chicken and mole we also shared the aguachile tuna Everything was absolutely delicious. However, I had to give it a four star for the service. Our waitress took some time to take our order. We got our waters then had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for our drinks and about another 15 to 20 minutes to order our food. When the food came out, they brought food our for 3 of us at the same time at the appetizer and the 4th person in our party had to wait 10-15 minutes for his platter to arrive so the rest of us had to wait and our food got cold. However, it was still delicious. You be the judge on cost $320 for party of 4 Alcoholic drinks are a little sweet Finally we paid the tab and then the chased us down saying for some reason they needed to run our credit card again because our tab still showed open but I logged in to my account and the charge was there they asked me to wait I did but 15-20 minutes I told them we had to go because they already made us late for our event at the Honda center
Lemme start by saying that Caitlin is the queen of all servers!! I have NEVER had a server so funny, helpful, kind, and hardworking. Her vibe is IMMACULATE. We were having a blast just chitchatting it up with her. Everyone else was also amazing and super great. They absolutely made our brunch. The food is also phenomenal! Everything was plated beautifully and tasted even better. Portion sizes are VERY generous. AND the drinks were strong as hell too honey!
We had brunch at En Familia today to celebrate my 40th birthday, which was on Thursday, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment we sat down, everything felt special, but what really made our visit stand out was our server, Valerie. She absolutely went above and beyond. Her knowledge of the menu was incredible, and she took the time to explain things and make recommendations without ever making us feel rushed. What impressed us most was how genuine she was. You could truly tell that she loves what she does and enjoys connecting with the people she serves. That kind of service is hard to find. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect for celebrating, and Valerie helped turn a birthday brunch into an experience we'll remember. We will absolutely be back! If you're looking for a great brunch or somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend En Familia. And if you're lucky enough to have Valerie as your server, you're in great hands! Thank you, Valerie and En Familia, for helping make my 40th birthday celebration so memorable!
We had an amazing time last night for dinner. Celebrating with family. Service was top notch and our server was so nice. Ordered steak and it was to die for. Not cheap but quality food and experience is not cheap. Loved the music selection. It wasn't too loud where we couldn't talk.

We came to En Familia to celebrate my college graduation, and it was the perfect place for our long-overdue girls' dinner. We hadn't all been able to get together since graduating a few weeks ago, so this was a special evening. The ambiance is one of my favorite things about this restaurant. It has a rustic vibe that's somehow also modern and romantic. I could definitely see myself coming back for a date night or another celebration. We started with the Oro Verde, and wow... those homemade chips with the Morita seasoning were absolutely delicious! They were addicting and the perfect appetizer for the table. I ordered the Barbacoa Papa Taquitos. You get four generously sized taquitos, beautifully plated with crema, cheese, cilantro, and served over a bed of beans. They also came with a dipping sauce, which wasn't really my favorite, but once I added the green salsa the flavors really came together. For my personal taste, the taquitos could have used just a little more salt, but they were still very enjoyable. My friends ordered the shrimp Caesar salad and two Taco Trios (chicken, Wagyu beef, and surf & turf tacos), and everyone loved their meals. The portions were generous, everything came out fresh, and no one left hungry. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to make recommendations, which made the experience even better. Parking in downtown Anaheim can be a little challenging, especially with the Packing House and all the World Cup crowds nearby, so plan a few extra minutes. We ended up parking across the street and walking over, but it was definitely worth it. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with great food, generous portions, and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! read more
What an amazing experience my family and I had here! Our server was Cailin and she was AMAZING! She was very sweet, funny, helpful, and attentive - everything you want in a server! Now onto the food and drinks which were also fantastic. The mangoneada and coco-guava margarita were refreshing and unique. For the food, we ordered the bone marrow, filet mignon fajitas with shrimp and guac added, Japanese A5-ribeye, and prime ribeye - all were great but my favorite was the filet mignon fajitas with shrimp and guac. We also enjoyed their flan and churros for dessert. The ambiance was amazing - we sat inside and I loved their decor and music! We can't wait 'til next time! read more
Nice decor and lovely atmosphere. Large bar in the center inside, majority of seating outside. The my accommodated a group of 14. Fun cocktail menu, I order their take on the espresso martini, not my favorite, it was too thick for my taste. They even have some non-alch options as well. The service all around was very nice, informative and attentive. For a big party, they kept up very well. Everyone seemed to enjoyed their food, my friend raved about the lobster enchiladas. I ordered the scallops, nothing special. They were four total, the size of a quarter, not filling so I ordered shishito peppers. They were perfectly made, did not disappoint. I tried the mushroom medley and it was a little too salty for me. I also had a bite of the esquite risotto, I didn't taste the risotto at all, could've been a deconstructed elote plate. read more

The food & cocktails were all excellent. Short rib entree and the Ribeye surf & Turf were amazing! Cool vibe here too! The service seemed a bit rushed. She was pleasant, but constantly asking if we were done and wanted to order something else. And it was not busy at the time we were eating. Overall, would come back again. read more
We came in for Sunday Brunch and it is also their Mariachi event. We sat inside and it can get very loud when the band is performing. The food is excellent! Everything was delicious. Only 4 stars because we had a reservation for 11:15am and we arrived at 11am. Makes sense that we wouldn't get seated until our reservation time, but we waited ten minutes after the fact, for a table that was sitting empty the entire time. The hostess said their priority were guests with reservations before 11:15 but those guests hadn't even shown up on time! So we were left waiting after our time so they can accommodate guests who were late. read more

Had a girls bruch here and raved about it after! Food and drinks were so yummy, full of flavor. Atmosphere was beautiful, and enjoyed a live Marriachi band that walked around. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Frida 17 was delicious! read more

I will start off with the pros. The ambiance was nice, the staff very personable and friendly. Valet parking was available, which was a plus. Food: I ordered suiza heese enchiladas , The sauce was delicious, the rice and beans also very good. I would definitely recommend this dish. Cons: We also ordered the scallops with elote risotto. The risotto was good, the scallops a huge disappointment. If you're going to serve scallops, please make sure they are fresh, not FROZEN. Especially if you're charging the price you would normally see for FRESH scallops. The scallops were fishy and extremely chewy. read more

I had high hopes for this place and it was so disappointing. It took over 30 mins to get our first round of drinks. Food took over 1.5hrs to come out!! Our server came to our table 3 times- to take our order, the 2nd order of drinks and to bring us the bill. Never came to see if our order right or to see if we needed anything else. Our second round of drinks sat at the bar for 15 mins. Cherry on top I was given dirty utensils! The food was okay. I would definitely not be back unfortunately. read more

- Watermelon Nojito: refreshing watermelon juice. - Nance Nectar: refreshing, alc taste masked well. - Wagyu Old Fashion: can taste the beef fat and see the solids floating in the drink. - Pan Seared Chicken Mole: plain chicken with mole poured on top. not super cocoay. sweetness and texture from corn helped cut the sauce. - Wagyu Queso Fundido: cheesy and flavorful. read more
I booked a reservation to celebrate my brother's birthday at En Familia. We arrived at 6:15p on a Friday and seating was pretty open. They started getting a bit busier towards 7-8p. The ambiance is definitely fresh and fun for a bit of an elevated get together or date day. They have good music playing and the AC was nice on this hot day. What we ordered: Queso Horneado: This is like a queso fundido or melted cheese dip and tasted amazing with chips. The cheese was super gooey and it has chorizo but isn't overly salty. Tase of EnFamilia: I liked that they had this option as it provides a small mix of a few different appetizers to try without having to spend so much money or order so much food. Everything tasted pretty standard, just the sope was a little hard. Bluefin Tuna Aguachile: A fun variation of aguachile using bluefin tuna rather than shrimp. The tuna MELTED in my mouth and the sauce had a nice kick. I also appreciated that there was a good quantity of tuna on the plate. Prime Filet Mignon Fajitas: This came out on a fun sizzling stone plate. It was cooked perfectly and the meat was extremely tender. My husband definitely gave this one a 10/10. Lobster Enchiladas Suizas: The flavor of the sauce was pretty good and has a bit of a kick as well. It came with rice and beans which made it feel like a full meal. However, I couldn't really taste the lobster. Prime Ribeye Surf & Turf w. Upgrade of Lobster: This one was definitely a little disappointing. We ordered medium and it came out more on the rare side. They were sweet to take it back and correct it, but the meat was not tender and more chewy. We also couldn't really taste the lobster on this plate, so I probably wouldn't upgrade if I were to order again. I left a note stating we were celebrating a birthday and a complimentary dessert of churro bites and ice cream was brought out at the end of our meal. This was delicious and a perfect little treat to end the occasion. All in all, it's a good place to try and I appreciate the aesthetic. But I don't feel like the dinner experience was worth it. The cocktails tasted watered down, the appetizers started strong, but the mains fell a bit flat and the service was just ok. BE WARNED!!! They have a 3% credit card processing fee. read more

I came with some friends for dinner. The restaurant wasn't busy and they were nice enough to seat us while we waited for our entire party to arrive. We order the prime ribeye steak and the steak salad. The ribeye was delicious and soft. The steak on the steak salad tasted a bit tough with simple seasoning. The salad was a bit plain so I asked for extra dressing on the side. The paomilla and the magoneada were both sweet and delicious. read more
Wow. Had a horrible experience here. I almost never leave 1 star reviews anymore but the experience we had genuinely upset me. We came for happy hour. Their menu online had happy hour/specials and the reviews (less than a month ago) mention happy hour and daily specials. We made plans to come here for happy hour, drinks, and the Thursday special. When we sat down, they only gave us regular menus. I asked about happy hour and the server (name redacted but if the owner/manager wants to know, I have it) literally stared at me and said "we don't do happy hour" as if I'm dumb and making it up? If you had it but took it away, say so but don't gaslight me. They also asked if we wanted water and we said yes. They then proceeded to say "we have still or sparkling" and then tricked us into saying still to then charge us for it. LOCATION & PARKING // Located in downtown Anaheim and right next to the Packing House, it's in a prime location. It is huge and very spacious indoors. Street parking only. SERVICE // This is where it lacked. Service was horrible. I was already annoyed at the confusing happy hour situation and how they shared that info but our server disappeared regularly and was not friendly. FOOD // Food was fine but NOT worth the price. I came in knowing it would be pricy but everything tasted mediocre. The best thing was the flautas appetizer but you cannot be charging $28 for normal tacos ($9 PER taco) or almost $70 for fajitas. Bad experience all around. Would never come back or even recommend this place. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. read more

The food was delicious, and we came for brunch. From the start, there were great vibes, with kind and attentive waitresses and even a mariachi band that added to the atmosphere. My only complaint--and it's a significant one--was the wait time. It took about 30 minutes for our order to be taken, and then over 45 minutes for our food to arrive after ordering. It was also a particularly hot day, which the restaurant obviously can't control, but we weren't offered water until we asked after placing our food order. Overall, the food and atmosphere were great, but the service timing could definitely be improved. read more
My friend and I came here for the first time for their happy hour. This restaurant was pretty spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating areas. It's a modern-style Mexican spot, with really unique brunch dishes. Happy hour is on the weekdays from open to 6pm, and had $10 apps and discounted drinks. I got a margarita plus the barbacoa potato taquitos. The taquitos were pretty large, and came with crema, pico, and beans. For a $10 app, it was pretty filling! The marg was also very good, and drinks came out pretty quickly. Our server was super cool, and checked on us regularly. When we went, it wasn't super busy, but I can definitely see it being a really cute GNO spot or a date night spot. Tip: parking is shared with the packing house, so it can get very limited. This was a great place to enjoy a nice Mexican brunch with delicious food, strong drinks, and great music. It would have been 5 stars if the menu online was updated. We had picked our meal earlier this week (molé chicken and waffles) only to learn that the menu online was not updated. We drove an 1.5 hours to check this place out and overall it was a great choice. Lots of parking, our server Chris was perfect. Funny, patient, kind and just what we needed today! read more
