The tater tots were seasoned well and very fluffy. Beer Mimosa: Get Never thought about this combo but a pale ale with OJ was great. It cuts the bitterness of the beer and adds a nice refreshing twist to it. Although, now there's less beer and still very expensive, it's a fun combo that represents this restaurant very well. The courtyard area is nicely shaded with lots and lots of tables big and small. You should be able to find seating even during the busy times but it does get pretty packed. I felt bad for the workers having to listen to it all day long when I just had to listen to it while waiting in line. The line took forever with only two cashiers. The outside seating area isn't nearly enough either, it's PACKED with no open tables available. I couldn't wait to try this chicken sandwich! I have heard & read so many great reviews about it. And they were not wrong! The sauce, the cabbage, and the chicken were absolutely amazing!! That chicken is cooked perfectly. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars is that my brioche bun was dry and hard. They must've given we one that had been out a while. Great service! Food was good and just a little hilarious on our order outcome's . We were hungry and had not had breakfast so decided to stop here for some coffee, hot cocoa and basically breakfast. I ordered for my parents the Ever-expanding cinna-pym toast, they enjoyed some of it but were not expecting their sunny side up egg was going to be the size of a quarter lmao!!! We didn't have anything to eat this time - I just wanted to swing by to get the new Milky Fizz drink in the cute sipper. I wasn't to sure about the Milky Fizz after reading the description - a desert pear flavored soda water with cream. Well you know what?! It was real tasty! And that's coming from someone who doesn't drink soda. The combination of the soda water and cream really complimented each other - kind of like how orange and cream go together in a 50/50 bar! Where's the beef? After walking around and enjoying the Spider-Man Web slinging ride (I know you read that review), we stopped here for lunch. Now it's a great concept. Make the food out of proportion like the movie "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". Oversized buns, tiny forks, jumbo size pretzels, one huge leaf for a salad. It's funny just not tasty. Pym Test Kitchen is located in California Adventure Park. I went to go check it out while my husband and daughter went to go ride on Guardians of the Galaxy. When I entered the first time, I tried to order but they weren't open yet. I walked around the area more until they were open. The calculated breakfast has eggs with smoked bacon, potatoes, and focaccia. I also ordered a Cinnapym mini toast for kids. It came with bread and egg with cinnamon topping, and bacon. I think the calculated breakfast was normal. It tasted like any other kind of breakfast. My daughters Cinnapym was a little sweet and it had additional syrup. She liked the bacon that went with it. Not really going to incorporate price into this because it's Disneyland, so everything is a bit inflated. Came in for lunch/food and there was a line because it's one of the more popular restaurants in California Adventure. Size is definitely an appeal here from their large spoon spaghetti dish to the giant pretzels with cheese sauce. I misunderstood that their fusion pretzel was normal size and was a bit disappointed that I didn't have a giant pretzel covered in ponzu marinated salmon, but that mistake is on me. To be honest, the pretzel wasn't the most horrendous thing aside from size. All the flavors are there from the watermelon sprouts and wasabi sauce to the spicy mayo and salmon itself, it just seemed a bit wrong being put on a pretzel. I got a side order of the cheese sauce which made the pretzel part taste good, but I did a bit of deconstructing to separate the two dishes on the plate. Service was simple enough placing an order at the register and then bringing the receipt to the counter. The cast members were nice and got us water cups for the hot weather that day. There's a decent amount of seating and all the soda machines also dispensed cold water. Definitely a fun restaurant with the Antman appeal, just not the greatest food I've had in the Disneyland parks. We've been coming to Disneyland almost every December to celebrate Christmas. We enjoyed the Xmas festivities around the park. At California Park, we always come and have a meal at Pym Kitchen. There are two things I really wanted to try: the fried chicken sandwich and the choco smash. The fried chicken sandwich tasted like a big piece of katsu with a tiny dinner roll. Love the novelty food and experience at Pym Test Kitchen. Came here for both breakfast and lunch during our recent visit to Disney's California Adventure. Loved the giant Bavarian style pretzel, nitro cold brew, tater tots, impossible meat options and giant choco-smash candy bar. The line can get long at peak times so consider putting in a mobile order as you'll likely get your food quicker than waiting in line. I know others may think the cost of the food here is on the high side but it's a Disneyland Park and cost is on par for an amusement park imo. Bottom line: Fun experience, food won't disappoint if you keep in mind it's somewhat fast-food amusement park food. I feel the value here is in the novelty of the food and venue. Perfect for sharing between 3-4 people. And so fun! The pretzel itself was cooked to perfection. Warm, fluffy on the inside, and a good crust on the outside. The cheese sauce had good flavor. The bad: HOLY MOLY WAS IT SALTY!!! My pretzel tasted saltier than the Pacific Ocean haha I ended up scraping off all the salt on it because the pretzel dough itself was also salty. I felt parched for the next few hours hahaha the cheese sauce was also a bit gritty so I'm guessing it split a bit. Also, I saw in other reviews they used to give two containers of cheese sauce but now they only give one. But trust me, you will need the two! My newest Disneyland recommendation to anyone visiting is to get the Choco Smash candy bar from Pym Test Kitchen! Every time I go to Disney, I like to spoil myself with a sweet treat at the end of the trip and had heard all about this Choco Smash candy bar. Pym's is the only spot in the park to get this delicious snack - and it is WORTH IT!! I was skeptical about the price, being $8 for a candy bar, but this treat blew me away with its flavor and size! Absolutely worth the cost, considering my typical go-to sweet is a $6 chocolate covered marshmallow from Main Street. Inside this delicious, magical candy bar is: peanut butter, nougat, caramel, peanuts, and brownie, all covered in dark chocolate! The food was nicely presented and good ideas to go with the movie! The taste was mediocre though... The chicken needed more sauce, and you kind of have to eat the chicken sandwich like a country fried steak, which is fine with me. I just wish there was a little bit more sauce. The "meat" in the meatless pasta was pretty good and real tasting. The pasta was not as Al dente as I hoped. Otherwise, it's a cool location, with the Avengers 15 min shows happening right next to it! It's next to the Pym bar too, which is a separate thingy but in the same seating area. Located inside Disney California Adventure Park at Avenger Campus. Very interesting concept based on the Antman Marvel movie. The food you order is enlarged. They also have a bar right outside the Test Kitchen. We ordered a pasta which the meatball was bigger. They gave us a tiny cute fork. Flavor was not bad. A bit dry due to not enough sauce. Meatball wasn't too salty and the meat was okay, pretty dry. Also got the "Not So Little Chicken Sandwich". The fried chicken patty was about your palm size. The bread was made tiny. The chicken was pretty tasty. It was crispy and the meat tender, the sauce (sweet and a bit spicy) and veggies eaten with the fried chicken was perfect. Definitely needed a knife to eat it. Tater tots were just tater tots. Ordered some drinks. Mistaken ordered an alcohol drink which was honey flavored with vodka I think. More on the sweeter side. The alcohol drink comes with a beaker cup and it became my souvenir. The popping drink was like soda with those popping candy inside...interesting.
