This is not a resort. We didn't do our research before we booked our non-refundable $50 a night. I was hoping they have improved things in response to all of the negative reviews but no such luck. We arrived mid-day on Friday and had to call three times to get someone to help us with checking in. The bar for the gate looks like it was pieced together by a child. The person who came to check us in at the gate was a young teenage girl who gave us the wrong code. Once we got in it is obvious many people who are struggling financially live there. Junky RVs, truck trailers that are mid conversion, lots of weeds and a "dog park" that abuts an abandoned looking trailer with an equally decrepit cross. I have two stars because the pad at our site was fine, the power and water worked. If you NEED a place to stay, not a vacation then it's an expensive but ok option but the word resort has absolutely nothing to do with this place. read more

I urge you to avoid this place. It is a disgusting place that has been neglected for many years. The couple that manage (or own) the park are very rude. She is MUCH nastier than he is and he's pretty bad. Somebody should honestly sue them for the way they've misrepresented this horrible place on their website. The pictures date back many many years. I know this because the trees (likely never trimmed) are fully grown now and the pictures make the park look like a nice place. It probably was 20 years ago, or perhaps before Mr and Mrs Horrible Desk people took it over. I wish I had taken more pictures for you, but maybe this picture of there fake park will do the trick. Please note the broken, old rock fire pit and all the post sticking out of the ground. My dog was almost injured falling into the fire pit while trying to catch a frisbee. Granted, I made a terrible throw which took the frisbee in the wrong direction, but one shouldn't have to worry about having their dog injured while playing fetch. I swear I could go on and on. We couldn't get out of that horrid place fast enough. PS- I accidentally yelped the wrong place before going there. If you search "Pyramid Lake Resort", you will up a very nice resort. Be careful! There are many full timers that do not take pride in the space they have. This would make a great movie location for a scary film. I really didn't feel comfortable here at all. We only stayed one night and that was plenty. You must call when you arrive. Someone will come out of the office with paperwork for you to complete. One of the worst camp grounds we visited. Lack of maintenance. Restrooms were super dirty. Silence & privacy must be enforced. The noise was unbelievably uncontrollable where neighbors held parties with loud music late at night. This place is a dump - seriously. It looks like a set from a horror show. The office is boarded up. The rest rooms are locked, and I wouldn't let my dog jump in the filthy pool. Decrepit remnants of a miniature golf course and dog park speak of past glories. Most of the park has long term rentals with decrepit rigs and junk everywhere. My in-line water filter got clogged. Occasional wiffs of sewage rounded out the experience. They actually had marginal wifi that intermittently worked. Verizon cell service was nonexistent. Had to call the posted phone # several times before a young girl, perhaps 12yrs old, came out and let us in. I am embarrassed that I didn't do my proper due diligence on this one. This place is really bad, even for a quick overnighter. Oh, and Ford navigation will send you to the wrong exit. read more

Dirty, unkept and run down. wiFi was terrible and cable was nothing more than a distorted snowy picture, basically only one bar for cell serive and no services whatsoever within 25 miles of their location. They claim every site has a picnic table, when I asked where ours was they said they would bring it the next day. Never did. Had to check out early due to a death in the family and they never responded to my email regarding a refund of the remainder of the month. DO NOT STAY HERE. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! We were the only campers, everyone else were long term residents. When we reserved five spots, we did so based on the posted photos that we quickly learned were not representative of the horrible conditions of this park. Upon check in we were overcharged $250.00. In order to get a credit, we had to sit down with the 78 year old female owner and walk her through the price quoted. On the first day, the 83 year old male owner was mowing weeds growing in the rocks with a lawn mower and threw two rocks into the windshield of our motorhome, breaking the glass! After bringing this to his attention, he refused to acknowledge the damage and walked away saying, "Not my problem." The cable was cut and inoperative, the rusty, dirty water plugged our water filter, weeds have taken over every grassy area as nothing is watered, the miniature golf is not playable with missing turf, and is overgrown with weeds, garbage including discarded TV sets were stacked next to the overflowing dumpsters, god forbid anyone try to use the broken down washer and dryers and I did not dare peek into the restrooms or showers...YUCK! Due to the lack of shade, we circled our chairs under some nearby shade trees with the approval of one of the residents (Mike). The pushy female owner confronted us the next day saying we used more sites than we paid for referring to where we sat briefly in the shade. She referred to us as "overpowering white people" and said we were taking advantage of the small business owner. Absolutely no reason to throw a racist comment our way like that. Had I known any of this prior to or at check in, I would have turned around and went home. read more

We had a great experience here. The staff was really friendly and laid back. Feels very country/rural. Beautiful location surrounded by the Angels national forest. Minutes from the Lake. Minutes from the Atv off-road trails. Gated camp ground. Mini golf, swimming pool, play ground, basketball, volley ball, hiking trails, laundry. I would recommend this camp ground, especially for the lake and the hiking. read more

Sadly most of the comments made here are correct. The place is a dump! Nothing listed on the website is available except for the electricity and the sewer outlet (which we thought at one point was going to clog, but thankfully did not). Those things worked. There was a water spigot, but hardly any pressure for our rig. The cable tv outlet existed, but didn't work. No Wifi was provided. Also, no pool, no mini mart, no mini golf, no playground, no bathrooms open, no laundry room, no hot tub, no basketball court that could be used, and only a weedy fenced in area that they call a Dog Park. The place had many permanent residents that have tons of junk all around their rigs. One rig even had large dog kennels on their spot with about 7 or 8 dogs. They brag that they are the only "gated RV park in LA". Well not anymore. The "gate" that was already in a state of disrepair, closed on our trailer and broke in half. So, they are no longer a "gated" "resort".. LOL No Resort here at all!! We won't be back, especially for the $55 fee. read more

They charge for WIFI, picnic bench usable and in need of a new one, all amenities are in poor condition, everything you do there is an additional charge. This place needs a major overhaul. This spot has the bones for a really neat experience. Unfortunately, it is not kept up. Everything is pretty run down. Pool was clean but the chairs and tables are old and rusted. Volleyball court- over grown. Kids park-Over grown. Basketball courts-overgrown. Mini golf-over grown. Not really worth the $50 just for hook ups. Conveniently located and a great location. Spaces are big with plenty of room,but so sad to see everything in such poor shape. Not to mention some of the what looks like full timers living there have no regard for aesthetics. Where to start first the pictures online of this not an Rv Resort is so out dated. Those pictures had to be at least from 20 years ago/ it was a dump! We pulled up and if it was not for it being 4th of July we would have left but we decided to try to make the best of it. We pulled up to our spot and it was full of dog poop not just one several we called they came and cleaned it but we were are all ready upset! Then there was nothing put tumble weeds and grass up to your knees and it's dead! Oh let me tell you about the little dog park no grass but not only that full of dog poop lol very where! I know it's up to the owner of the dogs to pick up but if they don't which is a shame the owner of the camp ground should be monitoring the park as well! I am the dog owner that picks up after my dogs. Which I did and they had a paint bucket full of dog poop that has not been emptied I do I don't know how long just gross. The pool before we can get in the pool my husband had to clean the pool full of bugs! The pool paint is falling off in the pool needs to be redone! The campground was ""F U L L"" of thorn weeds. So many in fact, that you could not go outside your RV, without getting your shoe soles full of stickers. Then when you walk inside your RV some of the thorns fall out and others step on them barefoot. Not a good experience there. We found this place by accident after a belt broke on our RV near Gorman. This RV park was right down the road so we decided to check it out, That was 3 weeks ago and we are still here because it is so quiet, beautiful,peaceful, easy hook ups all work just fine. Very clean,nice laundry facility, convenient access to everything, well maintained, beautiful grounds, very affordable. Other campers are friendly. Very safe environment.. Its run by a Korean couple and the woman is one of the nicest, warmest most friendly and helpful RV hosts that I have encountered in our journeys. She makes herself very available to all guests 12 hours a day. I read some negative reviews and could not fathom what they were saying. We are in our 60's enjoy traveling and our experience here has been 100 percent positive. I would very much recommend it for couples, families, etc. Oh..it is also 'pet friendly" with the usual guidelines. Great for a pit stop to escape the LA rush hour traffic. I highly recommend not staying here for more than one night. This place seems to be last clean up about mid 2000s ish and hasn't seen much care from the owners. The "mini golf course" is completely run down with the green putting stuff ripped up on some holes and some have just bare concrete with the holes clogged with leaves and rocks. The water feature here lacks 100 percent water and has just been collect leaves and rocks. The camp sites are very level (very good for just staying one night). Although most of the concrete slabs have cracks on them and in site 77 (the one where we stayed in) had chalk writing on it which they forgot to clean up. The table also had brown specks on them which I highly recommend to stay away if you don't want to get sick from eating on here. Over all the work they put in to clean this place is lackluster including two boats that have been last in water since 2003 or 2004 judging by the stickers on the sides of them. Also some of the cabins have random boxes laying out in the front yard. There is a green house with food inside that has not been picked yet, furthermore, there is a skeleton of an ez up and a broken golf cart. At the "club house", "front desk", "mini mart" whatever you want to call it, there are about 10 grills just sitting there unused and there even is a old counter where i guess you could cook food here???? The "playground" has been not kept up like the rest of the "resort" there are big holes where the swings are and bees everywhere. Do not bring your kids to the playground unless you want to get them hurt. Pros: - A good pit stop area -sites are level - not far off the freeway -not busy Cons: -golf course is un useable -Not cleaned well -Needs some renovating to call it a "RV Resort" - over priced for what you get If you want to stay longer i recommend Castaic Lake RV Resort which is a bit closer to LA than here and is cleaner. read more

The pictures do not do justice to this run down rat trap. It was difficult to figure out where to check in since everything looks abandoned. Finally and elder couple came out to great us then a younger man with two young children around the age of 12-16 he was training on how to check someone in. After checking us in, we tried going to the swimming pool, however looking thru the pool fence with all the gates locked notice the jacuzzi was in demolition mode and the pool was green. We walked over to a Truck n Trailer that had no wheels were these children seemed to live in and the young girl came out and said the pool was open until 8:00 pm but could not understand us how to explain to us on getting in. So we gave up. After walking around the property. The Miniature golf area was full of weeds, trash and rats running around, we ran. They play ground had an old swing and slide. I would never suggest anyone staying the night here, it has major health hazards . I called their number and John Lee told to send an email regarding my issues. The email response from John Lee, said he would have his attorney contact me. This is a strange place and needs the health Department to show up. Didn't stay there so I could not verify all the negative reviews but my review is about there business practices. I had 2 reservations to stay there on my round trip to Southern California. I check on there website and it said only long term people could stay. I know when I made the reservations it said no refunds. But due to the unusual coronavirus closures I ask for a refund or at least a voucher to use later. They never even answered my email. This is very unprofessional. Called the front office and he said Mgr would call and when called he said that I just wasn't trying hard enough to WANT to stay there. He got really rude. I have proof that we are supposed to get a refund within 30 days. If not, BBB will get the complaint. His last text to us was that he would be sure to call other campgrounds and alert them of our "expectations." Their customer service is appalling. Their rv park is unsafe. Yesterday (6/24), I had to make an appointment to get our trailer repaired - for August 4th! Resort should not be in the title. There was no hot water in showers; calling it warm would be an overestimation. They give you codes for wifi but after using all of them (with the dash, without the dash, leaving a space), NONE worked. The mini golf was fun bec. there were many obstacles in including the green fake carpet in many pieces. If 2020 was a camp ground, this would be it. Absolutely nothing like advertised. There is trash everywhere, abandoned TVs and furniture, no care at all is taken to maintain the grounds. Nearly all the featured "amenities" are completely unusable. I didn't take photos of the golf course but it is overgrown and snake ridden. The "cabin" was a nightmare and after being charged a "COVID-19 Cleaning fee" we arrived to a disgusting space caked with dust, dirt and grime. I wiped down all the switches and door knobs but they looked like they probably hadn't been cleaned in years. I won't even talk about the carpets. The pool was nice but the chairs were filthy and the "spa" was a concrete hole in the ground full of a few inches of absolutely disgusting green water, discarded white claw cans and who knows what else.
