We live in Sparks Nevada and we're taking our time to get to SoCal. We were looking at different options from loves truckstop RV spots to KOA's and this came across my yelp feed. I read the multiple positive reviews. And the best thing was we pulled in right before midnight and the self check-in was super easy. Filling out the paperwork now and will pay tomorrow. Looks very clean and organized and plenty of parking. Each space is well groomed and well lit. We're definitely gonna come back here again. read more

Just wanted to stop for the night on our way to Sacramento and I found this RV Park on line... tucked away in an unsuspected industrial area just off the fwy, we were so happy with our stay! Their after hours self check in was simple. And...Easy in and out. Super clean sites, paved, grass everywhere and full hook ups with wifi and cable! Very nice bathrooms/showers too! Wow this is the most cleanest and I'm talking like OCD clean ! Everything was spotless EVERYTHING, and I'm OCD so I was in heaven ! Well organized place , well managed , very very well maintained the grounds keepers def take pride in what they do ! The front office is just amazing in so many ways with supplies, gift shop and they keep KIDS in mind which as a MOM I TOTALLY appreciate !! The showers even the showers were clean & large and THATS NOT ALL those shower heads are large, the shower stays hot and pressurized , it's literally like a spa shower I'm telling you the mind behind this park thought of everything I'm telling you OCD spot on ! The flow the Atmosphere is 1000000% appreciated and you can tell by the campers EVERYONE here is Meticulous with their own stuff campers and area, I swear this is a gem of a place , thank you for having us !! Also talk about DoorDash ready so many great restaurant near by , hubby was working at the hospital and I just walked on over to Johnny's incredible pizza with the kids ! Was excited to come in late without a reservation and be able to stay but bathrooms close at 10 and don't open until 7:30 so we weren't even able to pee all night long after the drive. My van doesn't have a bathroom so I wouldn't be able to stay here again unless they get codes on their bathrooms. read more

Will not stay here again as they do not allow a dog fence. After putting up dog fence one morning, received a text at 8am the next morning that the fence could only be used when the dogs were in it. It takes easily 30 minutes to put the fence up and take down. When asked about this in the office, was told that this has been the campgrounds policy for 18 years. I am sure this policy was made before the portable fences were sold on Amazon. There are also no picnic tables at the RV sites. Bathrooms close at 10pm and no lock code is given but find out after we left that there is a lock code. Our RV group will be holding a rally in April at this park, but we will pass. The park was clean and they had a nice gift shop and clean bathrooms. read more

We go out of our way to stay here. The sites are well maintained and staff genuinely helpful. The bathrooms and pool are always spotless.

I called after hours because on the website it wouldn't let me check into a site after 5 for the same day. But I was running into that problem at every park. This park tho answered after hours and told us there are instructions on the door on how to pick a site and pay. It was super easy to select what site worked best for us. The bathrooms are super clean,showers super clean and the grass part was well kept. It was $2 per pet which wasn't a big deal. She even told us about an rv sticker that we had to have on our bus that we weren't aware of. Each site has an outlet and depending how much power you select, it can power your rv. We're in a converted bus and just needed to run an extension. Recommend bringing! Great place and great service. read more

Careful when booking. Their words don't match their actions. I called and booked for a soccer tournament in town. We enquired about canceling because we were not guaranteed to make the tournament but a lady on the phone assured us we could cancel within 3 days of the booking and they would fully refund us. Well, the team didn't make the tournament so we called and cancelled 6 days and 8 hours before our reservation and they changed their stance and kept half the booking fees because it was less than 7 days before the check in. This is not a how a professional business is run. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of RV resorts in Bakersfield that will happily not steal your money. Editing after owner replied. Just because it's your "policy" doesn't mean it's not stealing especially after being assured over the phone that we had time to cancel for a full refund. It was cancelled hours too late for your "policy" and as a business owner I'll never understand taking a hard stance on $50 after your incompetent employee assured us. Avoid, avoid, avoid. read more

Called in for a reservation months in advance and I was not required to pay a deposit. How great is that? I typically pay the first night and pay the rest later at other places. I've received a 10% Good Sams discount as well. We needed a break from a very long road trip. It is a perfect choice for a overnight stay to catch some rest and pick up then leave the next morning. Restaurants are within reach and that made it convenient to grab dinner. The only complaint I have was the morning stench. I'm not sure where it was coming from. Given it is located within an industrial neighborhood, it's not surprising. The smell did go away within an hour or so when I first noticed it. Glad that went away fairly quick. The RV park is well maintained. We had polite neighbors. It was quiet. read more

Wow! This place was so relaxing. I came here with my husband and two dogs in mid June. There was a lot of construction on the street you need to take (Gibson) and its through an industrial area. The park was about half full. Upon arrival, the welcome package was taped to the door. We got it ourselves and went to our site. The welcome map contained all the usual information and all sorts of tips and suggestions for places you can go. All sites are very spacious with full hook-ups and beautiful green grass. I couldn't get our Directv to work because we were blocked by trees but this place had awesome wifi. I was able to connect my Smart TV to it and we streamed all kinds of stuff. The park was large and although there was no dedicated dog park, there were several grassy spaces to walk around. The pool was great. We took our dogs into the area. I'm not sure if we were allowed but no one else used the pool while we were using it, so it seemed ok. Most people staying here were adults. I think that contributed to the relaxing atmosphere. One other thing I want to highlight is the fact that this place has control of their sprinklers. Most places just turn them on and have them spray all over the place and all over your stuff. These groundskeepers have all sprinklers perfectly aimed at the target areas. None of our stuff got wet and no water was wasted. Great job! I highly recommend this place if you want to go somewhere to escape reality. read more

I initially mis-booked my dates and immediately called the resort to correct this. When I called, a member of the team mentioned she was out of the office but would address this ASAP (within 2 hours). When I woke the next day, I thankfully had a voicemail stating the date was changed with no issues (thank you - you know who you are!) Arrival day - We stopped in here for a quick overnighter stay only. While the office closes early, 5:30 PM and our arrival was 7:30-ish, we thankfully had site information waiting for us taped to the office door. We were able to quickly navigate to our site, a nose-to-tail double pull through. Easy in and easy out! Sites were well manicured and level. read more

This was our first time staying here, but our friends who we were also with us in their RV had stayed there several times before. We all said never again. Our site was nice, but we felt like we were being harassed all the time. We have been to hundreds of RV resorts and never had a problem putting up a dog fence. At this place, the office actually called us and said that our dogs were unattended. My wife was outside with the dogs and they reluctantly apologized. And they were inside our fenced in area. They knocked on our door the next day because my stepdaughter parked her car in front of our RV partly on the street which was very wide. It was not a hazard in any way. She had just stopped by to pick us up as we were heading to my son's wedding. So she moved her car. They also have a crazy requirement that if you have a dog fence up, it has to be taken down every night. It takes us a while to set up and keeps the dogs safe and secure. There is no way we would take it down every single night. Next time we will stay at the KOA in Bakersfield. read more

And yes, we stayed here once again a few months ago as we began our cross-country adventure. Nothing has changed from our January 2023 stay, except the weather was better! The park is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, Costco still sells diesel, Benjy's is still there....all in all, a homerun! Be sure to check out the gift shop. In addition to RV TP, milk, bread, etc., the selection of gifts is well-curated by one of the ladies in the shop. I brought some local raw milk butter and local honey to gift to my NC relatives, who were suitably impressed! The Kern River was still running.....and likely still is! read more

Great location to stop and rest between traveling between North and Southern California. Full hookups, cable tv, nice rec room, pool with hot tub, gym, clean and nice bathrooms with showers and laundry room. Close to Hwy 99 and a block from Costco for gas and filling up propane tanks. On further evaluation, this is definitely a five star RV park! Bakersfield River Run is a terrific RV park! Spacious sites, with grass and a nice concrete pad. Access to a walking path along the river. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. A wonderful little store that has just about anything you may have forgotten, and some adorable knickknacks. There is a small gym here with high quality equipment. The pool is nice, as is the clubhouse. Even though this park is close to a highway, noise is not a problem.We will definitely be back! read more

River Run answered the phone and gave us directions on how to check-in, select a site, and pay even after hours. Loved that we were allowed to pick which available site worked best for us! The park is very clean and quiet. It is located near a Costco and plenty of restaurants if you want to eat out. We received a text message the day before welcoming us. Then the day of arrival we received a message advising of some near by road work and offered an alternative route. Great communication! When we arrived our check in information was tapped to the door. Great process during Covid times. We had a pull through buddy site with family traveling with us. This worked out great. We love this RV park for our overnight stays coming from NorCal when we head down south and on the way back home. We stayed there on two different nights this last week and it was just as great as when we were there back in January. They have such a clean, well-maintained, organized layout. Plenty of pull-throughs and easy in and out. We always stop at the Costco across the street for a gas fill and it is right off CA-99 for an easy stay on the way somewhere. The pool area was shaded and had plenty of chairs. Their gift shop and office is also nice and spacious. We love that they do a Good Sam discount too. The spots have a nice patio slab and plenty of grass for the pups. We will continue to come back in the future! read more

Stay away from this RV spot!!! This was a place we loved to visit and stay at for at least 7-10 days at a time, 2-3 times a year and have spent thousands of dollars in the last 3 years giving them our business. We loved it so much that we rented their party room and spend $200+ to rent and made sure to return the building back to them in clean condition. Now that we are trying to rent the party room again they came up with a BS excuse about the parking situation when that was never an issue before. Why have additional parking spaces in front for the office next to the party room, if you don't want customer to park in the additional parking area?!! His wife Noelle then called my wife to give her another excuse and her second excuse was that her husband didn't think that for our type of party (10 & 16 year old party) was something he didn't feel he could accommodate. We have seen many times where you guys have rented to big groups with plenty of vehicles in front of the party room. RYAN, your excuse was and is garbage and thanks for not letting a Veteran feel welcomed there. To the people who plan on booking with them, i'd advise to stay away if you don't want to be treated unfairly. Please give your time and your money to another RV park who will appreciate their customers!! read more

It's clean, conveniently located near the highway with shops and gas stations nearby. We arrived late and got clear check-in instructions taped on the door of the office. It'd be perfect if the restroom/bathroom could open for 24 hours with digital keypad lock like many other RV parks. We arrived just before 10 pm and fortunately spotted the sign saying the restroom opens from 7:30 am to 10 pm so we rushed to take showers. However didn't get to use it the next morning as we left before 7:30. read more

We've stayed here previously when passing through and decided to spend a week this time. We made a reservation but had to postpone it by a week. People in the office were great about accommodating the change. We had planned to stay on the river side of the park but ended up on the canal side instead. As it was, that was probably better because the river side also has traffic noise. The location is rather odd, it's right on the Kern River but behind an industrial area. It is just off I-99 and very near all manner of shopping, restaurants and services. We visited Costco, Walmart, Trader Joe's, Buck Owen's Crystal Palace, two veterinarians, a VA clinic and got haircuts-all within a short drive. As mentioned previously, the people in the office were very nice. Park is very clean (bathrooms were immaculate) and has nice facilities including: reasonably-priced laundry; pool/spa; exercise room; recreation room with big screen TV and a small grocery/RV/gift store in the office. Grounds are very well kept by people who start up their equipment at a reasonable time in the morning (as opposed to ridiculous-thirty). read more
