I really don't want to rave about this place too much because I don't want it to become a place where we can never get a reservation lol! But I have TBH, the owner is the nicest guy! Our family was planning a weekend visit to Universal Studios, we have dogs that we don't kennel nor do we stay in hotels with them, so we found this park convenient to park our trailer, stay a night and keep our dogs in the AC for the day while we enjoyed the day. It is nice and clean and has full hook ups. There is no pool or anything recreational like that, though I do believe there is a game room and gym. Like I said we weren't there for that so I didn't check them out to even tell you what was in them or how they are. The restrooms were clean and have showers, we use the restroom and shower in our rig but did have to use the park restrooms a couple of times. It is a clean and quiet place where a lot of people are long term or residential guests. Please, if you are looking for a place to "rage", do not come here, it is not the place. read more

I stayed at this RV park for 10 months and would have stayed forever but I needed to be closer to my job in Torrence. I am a solo traveler with my 2 pets and never did I worry about my safely. The people and more specifically the owner, Steve made me and my fur babies feel at home and welcomed. The washer/dryers are convenient and inexpensive (compared to every other laundromat I've used). The airport is behind the RV park and I was staying in the back row. Some days the airport was busier than others but it was never so noisy that it was distracting. There are a few great restaurants walking distance from the park. The park is very conveniently located to a lot of things and very easy interstate access. I have been away from Hollywood RV park for about a month now and I actually miss living there, but driving on the 405 every day for work became too much. If you are looking for a home to park your RV...Hollywood RV park is the place to go! read more

I honestly can't say enough about how AMAZING this RV park is! We needed to be in Los Angeles on an ongoing weekly basis and decided staying in our RV would be a much more cost effective option than finding a shared apartment or booking an Airbnb every week. BEST choice EVER once we found Hollywood RV Park! From the moment we pulled into the RV park, I could feel how different and special this place was. We were met by the owner, Steve, who is a Hollywood icon (and has the most amazing stories and personality!), who instantly took over to get our camper parked for us. Their complimentary valet service is second to none. Honestly, for US, it was such a welcome relief after braving the LA freeways. Steve has a great little towing tractor that hooks right up to the camper and off it goes to your site, safely and securely. It's a perfect situation. Steve knows every inch of his RV park (having built so much of it himself over the past decades), and he knows best how to easily slide your rig into the generous sites without you having to navigate it yourself. Steve has a never ending smile and welcomes you like you're family or a long lost friend that's come home again. Such a wonderful reception after a long drive. Then let's talk about the RV park itself. It couldn't be more conveniently located. Easy off the 405 and since it's on Balboa, you are on the perfect route for sneaking around the 405 traffic and over the hill on busy traffic times. Everything you need is within a few minutes drive and there's even a grocery store across the street if you want to walk to it. But the park itself is where the magic truly happens. It's a Shangri-la, to be honest. Every street named after a famous Hollywood street (or area) and decorated to make you feel like you've arrived at the Disneyworld of RV parks, with gorgeous artwork and sculptures and Hollywood props tastefully arranged throughout the park. There's a lot of wonderful trees and greenery, so it almost feels like you're outside of the L.A. when you're in the park. We loved nothing more than walking around the park and seeing all of the decor and the wonderful site amenities that long term residents have put on their sites. Speaking of, the personality of the community at the RV park is incredibly friendly and welcoming. People smile at you and welcome you. It almost has an old fashioned feel to it where people greet each other as they pass with smiles and nods, or little conversations if you're so inclined. And yet, you also maintain as much privacy as you want. We've stayed there now every week (for a few days a week) for the past several months and I love that we were able to maintain our privacy but also felt like a welcomed part of the community. It's a very nice balance. The hookups are very easy and well designed. For us, we chose to store our camper right at the park, and Steve arranged it all for us to make life very easy. We drive in on Tuesdays and there our camper is on the spot Steve assigned us for the week, and then later in the week, we close the camper up, unhook, etc. and lock it up and leave it and Steve handles it from there. It couldn't be easier. I also think the pricing is VERY fair. When we compared doing Airbnb's long term or even renting a room in someone's apartment, there was no chance we could come close to beating what it costs to keep our camper at Hollywood RV Park and camping there a few nights a week. I honestly can't say enough about it. This is a very special place, run by a staff of incredible people. And Steve is a true gem. A legend in his own time. I feel lucky to have found it. read more

Stayed two nights as part of a larger spring break road trip. Park was clean and Southern California quirky in all the best ways -- with great art and murals throughout the park. Spots are tight -- so those of us with trailers get valet treatment by having a forklift maneuver into our spot. You are mixed in with a lot of longer term residents -- and everyone seems pretty friendly -- with the park being quiet at night. Owner and office staff are very nice and helpful. I had such a great experience speaking with Steve while exploring options for an extended stay. Out of all the places I reached out to, he was by far the kindest, most patient, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and made the entire process feel easy and welcoming! We had a very pleasant stay at this eclectic RV park. The first time our trailer was forklifted into our spot too! I initially booked for two nights, but needed to extend for another night through New Year's Day. Lisa made adding that extra night quick and easy! Each site is equipped with full hookups, a grassy area and a bench. They also have bathrooms with showers, a laundry area and wifi. All the colorful murals and decor make this such a unique, cute spot! This is the closest RV park to Universal Studios (20 minute drive). Wow! Wow! Wow! We can't say enough positive things about this funky RV Park in the middle of the chaos of Los Angeles. What a peaceful place. After a 3,000 mike trek, we immediately felt our tension ease as we drove into the grounds. This is a older RV Park with spaces and streets so small, that they park your RV for you. We unhitched at the office, they hooked up a forklift and 10 minutes later, we were neatly parked in our space. And then, Bobby leveled our trailer, hooked up our electricity and connected our water and sewer. Man oh man, this is first class service of a kind we have never experienced before, and we have over 20,000 miles RV experience on the road. The park is Bohemian in character from a police officer mannequin on a motorcycle who greets you, a Volkswagen police car driven by a chimpanzee, a crystal chandelier hung from a tree outside, a Wizard of Oz life-sized diorama to murals of every kind, hand-painted on the walls and fences in the park. What a delightful place! Steve, the owner, is gregarious and we enjoyed spending 30 minutes with him on a private tour of his work in progress. It's kind of like the Winchester Mystery House in that there are surprises at ever turn and the building never stops. At night, I think Steve dreams of new and exciting tweaks to his already crazy-good park. We were only here for 9 days, but truly, we could live here, it was that great. When I booked our reservation, I had no idea what a treat lay in store. Book your stay early because there was not one empty space left when we arrived ... it's that popular. They have two laundry facilities as well as a men and women's bath/shower rooms that are immaculate. However, you may want to luxuriate in your own shower, because the water pressure is fantastic! You owe it to yourself to enjoy a funky side of life while visiting the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles. read more

As the other reviews say, he's such a nice guy. You can just tell he has a passion for running this place and also a passion for meeting people. He really has a cool story about how he cares about healing and health. makes sense that he hosts a lot of traveling nurses and doctors This place was super unique. Different from all other RV places we've stayed at. Its an urban place, in Van Nuys, and the place is essentially a concrete grid with a bunch of spots. that said, they have so many mature trees, which provide shade and nice greenery throughout. But what really makes it stand out is the cool artwork. Every alley has a really awesome mural painted by a local artist. Marilyn Monroe, Mr. Rogers, Wizard of Oz, etc. Also, what I loved is the trailer valet service. I've seen this before but this place takes it to another level. Much of this is necessary because the spots are so tight. When you arrive, you unhitch your trailer. Then Steve comes around with a special forklift machine that hitches to your trailer and he parks it for you. THEN, he even hooks up your water, electrical and sewer lines for you. Wow, I've never seen this done. My wife felt bad that he had to touch our poop tube. LOL. can you imagine how many poop tubes he touches in a day? Hats off to you, sir. read more

Happy, happy, happy with this RV Park that sits smack dab in the middle of Los Angeles' busy metropolitan area (or just a smidge outside of)! We stayed here for a couple of nights and wanted easy access to the Santa Monica area, which this spot provided for us, with the consideration that typical LA area traffic is unavoidable. When we checked into the park we were assisted by a super friendly, helpful and informative gentleman. The park is themed and painted with all kinds of iconic Hollywood history. Each site has a picnic table and all of the hook-ups you could need for any kind of RV. The park is clean and well cared for. If you have pets, they provide a small but appreciated pet-park toward the back of the property. We felt that the property was safe, secure, well lit and the need for use of a key to enter the bathrooms was appreciated in helping to keep the restrooms free of any potential transient use. My only reason for not giving four stars is one that probably doesn't matter to many people that stay here because they have their own bathrooms inside of their RV's. But in both the men's and women's restrooms that were closest to our site, one of the three showers was out of order as well as with one of the toilet stalls in each. And the bathrooms could use a face lift. But they were clean and the showers provided ample hot water! There was also a gym on the premises (didn't peek inside though) and I saw a cute flyer posted about line dancing lessons being offered on Tuesday nights, which is a fun extra! Overall we were very impressed and will definitely plan to stay here again, should we be in the area! read more

We had a wonderful stay at Hollywood RV Park! It is clean and has excellent amenities! The sites are tight but if you arrive while the forklift person is there, they will place your trailer in your spot. The owner Steve is so friendly and gave us a lot of information. The only thing that was not so great was the small dog run that is in the very back of the park and wreaks of urine. Also apparently there are raccoons that attack small dogs at night in the dog run. They have been working on getting rid of the raccoons. Overall I would definitely recommend this RV Park and will be back! read more

An amazing and special place. I stayed here Easter Sunday overnight. Steve and his staff are the absolute best. I was thoroughly impressed with the valet RV parking. Spaces are pretty tight so he has the vehicle to maneuver your rig. I stayed at Balboa RV Park on the first night of a long sabbatical. They first off told me to unhitch my trailer & Steve (the owner) would park it for me. Not only did he park it for me but he had another worker there -- they leveled it, put my jacks down, hooked up my sewer & water (with their hoses) and hooked up my power. I was on a Wizard of Oz themed street. It was adorable. They are the friendliest staff! I had some friends over for a BBQ and we were up late talking outside. A very nice gentleman came over at 10:00 and let me know it was ten but to just have fun and "keep it down". It is VERY safe as well. I highly recommend it! read more

I have stayed at this park for a week and the people that run the park are excellent most helpful with anything I have needed. Fixed my sewer hose for me when it sprung a leak. Also referred me to mobile repair guy who came out and fixed my a/c. While waiting for repair guy, they told me I was welcome to hang out in the recreation room to stay cool while I waited. The guys were helpful from day one. Assistance with detaching my tow dolly and vehicle, guided parking, and got everything hooked up for me! 5 star thank you Hollywood RV Park! read more

We stayed here for 7 days in April 2019. We have a 39 ft. Motorhome and Steve, the owner, did an incredible job just getting a reservation for us. He really went out of his way. We were supposed to stay on the "back row" because the place was so crowded. But, when we arrived Steve's crew put us in a regular RV space on "Rodeo Dr." When I first looked at the space, I said there is no way we will fit this rig in there. Well, his guys are magicians! They expertly and patiently guided me into our space, then worked their tails off to help me get leveled and settled in. No other park from Jacksonville, Florida to Los Angeles had staff that worked so hard to take care of us. Much appreciated. The entire staff, including the ladies in the office, are super friendly and helpful. The vibe around the park is pretty cool and it is convenient to the Interstate, Home Depot, Ralph's and Costco. All in all, a great experience. We will be back...if we can get a reservation! read more

Gotta admit, I was apprehensive of this place, after all it is LA right. How I was wrong. What a cool little place. I have a 35' Travel Trailer, so they put me in the back. Ken (I think that was his name) escorted me back and guided me in no problem. They have a pumping service that you can get daily but we chose not to use it. There is 30 and 50 A electrical with full pressure water. No cable TV, but you get over 100 stations with the antenna. The park is very cool. Every little side street has a name. Everyone likes the Wizard of Oz one, but they are all cool. Steve, the owner, is a great guy and greeted me just as I was leveling out the trailer and invited me to the Wednesday night music gig. Although we did not go, it was nice to be invited. While I am not a big fan of So. Cal, this RV Park made it much more enjoyable. Thanks Steve and the whole crew. read more

Great park for visiting sight seers throughout So Cal as so many things are within a 50 miles radius. Beautiful art on walls and buildings will have you smiling every day. Not great for full-time unless you want to spend $1200 or more a month with dog and cat restrictions. Had scary event where my water hose was cut in several places and a kind neighbor noticed and replaced the hose with his own after telling Steve what had apparently transpired. WOW!!!!!!!! OK, this place sets a new standard for service. I would give them 20 stars if I could. First, look at the photos I uploads. Internet speed tests. Yes, this place has absolutely solid and fast WIFI, and the park has been full the whole time we have been here! That alone is 5 stars to me! But let's talk about service.... When we arrived, we got checked in, and the owner helped guide us into our spot. Then we chatted a bit. So helpful, so kind... so friendly!!! Even during our stay he would stop by just to chat, and you can just tell that he LOVES what he is doing!!! The location is a mixed bag, and I have seen some reviews that complained about tight spaces and noise from the Van Nuys airport. OK, let me help any readers with a little dose of reality. We are in the middle of the city here on a piece of land that is worth millions. I am sure there have been many offers to buy this land and go condo with it, believe me. If this RV park is here, it is solely because the owners love having an RV park here. We are in a place where city taxes, water and power are in the stratosphere, so you need a little give and take to have an RV park and ALSO be affordable. So the spaces are a little tight. Big deal. To contrast that, many of the spaces have all sorts of beautiful art depicting scenes from Hollywood movies and California living. There is LOTS of shade, and an overall good vide of super friendly people here. I mean, if you come with a 5th wheel, they will even back you into your spot! As for the noise from the airport, seriously? Let me explain. You are west of the runways by a good enough amount that you don't get bothered by the jet engines during take off. The planes don't fly overhead, except the occasional 737 that is at 3,000 feet on approach to Burbank airport (which you do not hear).. The only real noise you get is helicopters taking off and flying toward the south-west. For example, maybe to put out a fire somewhere? Still, it is not frequent, and cannot hear it inside. At the end of the day, you are in L.A. You are close to major freeways, and you can easily get to the places you will want to go from here. The staff are awesome and flexible, and are clearly committed to excellent service. In a nutshell, we have crossed the country, and this is our #1 park. 'nuff said? read more

Steve, Steve, Steve! Steve was great and super helpful when we arrived. There was quite the queue of RVs waiting to check in and he was masterful guiding each one of us into our spots. It would have been a little hairy backing into these spots as some can be quite tight. But once you have been guided in once it is pretty easy to do again on your own. I would not recommend doing it yourself unless you are a seasoned RV driver. Depending on when you arrive there might be a queue of RVs waiting to check in. Be patient. The people here are nice and helpful and are not intentionally trying to make you wait. There are full hookups here for Water, Electricity and dumping. The only downside, as with any RV park, is that you are right on top of the people next to you. There is not much space between you and your neighbor. Bathrooms are clean, showers were hot, and the pressure was good. read more

Who would have thought this RV park would be so awesome located in the middle of a busy Lake Balboa neighborhood/business district! This place is wonderful. The owners & staff ( Steve & his daughter) are flexible & helpful. They will park your trailer for you (valet service) . You'll want that because the spaces are tight. Each 'street' has a different Hollywood theme. And they all have murals. I love the Marilyn Monroe mural & the wizard of oz yellow brick road ( the bricks are yellow). They have an old LAPD motorcycle you can pose on too. There are lots of little things like that to see here. There is a dog run area which came in very handy. They thought of everything here. The bathrooms/showers are clean & roomy. With everyone so close, I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. People really respected each other here. If you like planes, you'll get to see & hear them here. The park is close to Van Nuys airport & flyover for Burbank airport. We love planes so they didn't bother us a bit. We left Hollywood RV & went to Malibu RV where they wouldn't be flexible a bit. If you don't check out by noon, Malibu charged you $20 for every 15 minutes you're late. Don't even try early check in. Oh & Malibu locks the gate so you can't get out without going by the office. That's the way they want to run their tight ship that's ok. I just love Hollywood/Balboa RV parks relaxed attitude & awesome park better. Of course the views at Malibu are fantastic. read more
