This has been the BEST salon experience I have ever had! It was my first time at this salon and I will be back! They started off with a tour for you to understand the time and effort put into your experience ingraining their culture. The guide, SJ, was patient while answering all of my questions and was very pleasant. The stylist taking care of me introduced herself to me and asked me what I was looking for, how short of a hair cut, etc. After the tour, I was brought back to the shampooing room, which was amazing! It is all about the promotion of relaxation where the shampoo includes a hand massage and a scalp massage! (Why yes, I would love a scalp massage!) I was then left in the hands of the stylist, Nikki! She was awesome. We had great conversation! I discussed my hair type, what I was looking for, and how I typically style it. Nikki offered suggestions and she discussed different tips for me to try at home to style. The whole time she was meticulous in her work and made sure that I loved the haircut. While we were chatting, she let me know of a discount exclusively for educators giving me 50% off my first visit and 15% off all other hair appointments. I'm very impressed. I'm always hesitant to change salons but I'm also too busy to drag myself out to Boca to have a friend do it as well. So I heard a lot of good things about Pyure from coworkers so I decided to give it a shot. I called Saturday morning and asked for a colorist that was good with light colored hair and thick hair as well. They set me up with Brad and Amanda. I must say that I got really lucky because I'm going for the silver look and his wife has also dyed her hair that color so I was set! Amanda came over and introduced herself and she started cutting my hair before he colored it because I knew some needed to come off beforehand and having thick hair, I didn't want to waste his time dying it if it would come off anyways. He got me foiled and washed and consistently supplied with white wine. I finally met up with Amanda and she gave me some tricks about how to get the beachy wavy look that I wanted. Got me setup with products and tips and gave me a bunch of referral cards. I'm glad I got lucky with her, she's one of the top stylists and she really knew how to get my hair shaped and back in healthy form. Also, yes the prices are high but honestly, if you want he right products and the best care for your hair especially when stripping color, this is the way to go. My wife and I have been coming here for cuts (and coloring for her) for years now. We both see Leah for cuts and my wife sees Sarah for coloring. Leah is not only a supremely talented stylist, but she's just an all around good time. She is always in a fantastic mood, listens to your requests and offers really great suggestions. I genuinely look forward to haircuts with Leah. While I don't get my hair colored personally, Sarah always does a phenomenal job on my wife's hair color. Not only that, my wife has sent her mother, sister, and numerous friends to Sarah for color and everybody has had high praises. She's very friendly, personable, and again immensely talented at what she does. The atmosphere at the salon is great. You can tell the staff all feel like family. Wow! What a salon, what a treatment! I went there and my hair was a mess, I had yellow hair and damaged, I ended up cutting three inches and having ombré, I have a before and after picture too bad I can't show them to u but Jacob did my color and bless him he is a genius! It is a little pricey but u get what u pay for, top of the line treatment, massage while ur hair is washed, massage on your head with shampoo, a tour of the place and drinks whenever you need. It was just incredible. I ended up paying 330 but let me tell u what I had... I had ombré ($245) deep conditioning ($20) hair cut like ($45) blow dry ($30) and I bought a mask (30) ....I never spent so much on my hair but yes it was worth it, it boosted my confidence in a way u can't imagine. I never thought coming here for a color and cut would get me an afternoon full of relaxation. So I was greeted by my hair stylist at first who just wanted to scope out my hair and what I wanted to do with it before it got wet from my color session. She was extremely nice and bubbly. Promptly afterwards, Jacob, my hair colorist came to ask me what I wanted to do. So after much conciliation, I wanted blonde but my hair color was just not suitable for the hue I wanted, so I went with red. We chatted about common interests and local businesses, and then he offered me a drink, so I got a glass of red wine. When it came time for the rinse, I never expected a head, hand and arm massage! It was glorious. I was so relaxed by the end of it I wanted another glass of red! Haha, but then we got to the cut and I was extremely pleased with the end result. Went today to get a cut fixed and got very very lucky with Derrick. He was able to blow out my curls without a problem. He listened to what I wanted and used a similar technique my hairdresser in Denver did after I showed him a picture of my last cut as well as the advice my hairdresser texted me. I've been here half a dozen times or so and I've always been satisfied. I've seen a couple of different stylists. I believe everybody here is talented. But today for the first time I had Zack cut my hair, and its my best haircut ever. Im pleased enough to finally write a review! I'm uncomplicated. My hair is uncomplicated. I've spent the last 6 months trying to grow out some layering and I was unsure of what to even do with it other than trim it up. I knew what I DIDN'T want. Zack listened, did exactly as I asked and worked magic to frame my face perfectly. I didn't even know how to describe what I wanted and he just did it and made it look awesome! Lastly, it can be unpleasant/intimidating when a very hip, trendy stylist acts pretentious while they are working on you. Zack was not like that at all. The shampoo experience alone is something everyone needs!! Years and years of getting my hair cut and colored here. Everyone is great!! It's a little pricey and the only reason I don't give 5 stars is bc every time I have a specialist I love they go up in levels just about every single visit so every time I come back it's more and more expensive. Finally they people I loved the most got so far out of my price range I had to search for someone new :( but I still love it here. They have super yummy tea and fruity water and wine too!! Absolutely 5 star worthy in customer service! Always accommodating. So professional on the phones. They made detailed notes when I had a little issue and everyone was up to speed when I called. I rarely get a haircut. Last haircut I had was here 2 years ago so I decided to come back and get my haircut by the same stylist. BEST DECISION EVER! I was late for my first appointment and they were so accommodating to get me another appointment later that morning. Have you ever had one of those days when things weren't going your way? Crazy traffic jams and being late to your appointments! So when I got to pyure, I was extremely stressed and felt terrible about being late. They greeted me with a smile and choice of fruit water or tea. Ahhhhhh, the zen started to kick in. Then my stylist Zack greeted me cheerfully and took me to get my hair washed. Even if you get all your hair shaved off, the shampoo and wash will be totally worth it! It's a dim room filled with aromatherapy and calming music. The chairs are comfortable and you get a great wash plus a scalp and arm massage. What a wonderful start to getting a haircut. Zack was great at listening and adding suggestion to what I wanted. Final results were perfect! I drove all the way from Lake Worth for this hair cut and I will never regret the decision! Please stop by this awesome salon, it will be worth it! read more

Due to my schedule because I work a lot, I finally got a day off 3 weeks later & they won't fix the bad haircut I received & want to charge me again. Wow! Don't come here again, they are over priced & don't look after their customers needs or fix issues! I had my hair done here before years ago and it came out stunning I had it lightened up with highlights and a new base color.. Amazing experience. BUT.. However this time around was a disaster... I made an appointment far in advance Because I am a restaurant manager with a full time very hectic schedule I don't have time to just come whenever I want.. My appointment was for a balyage- ombré. Upon arrival I get checkin then guided to the chair and my level 4 master stylist ( which i pay a lot more for) said oh we need to do a test strip on you to see how your hair lifts.. I'm thinking okay no problem.. So I'm sitting and waiting. Then she rinses me and says okay we don't have time to do your hair today you will have to come back. What... Why??... I'm here now I made my appointment for today.. She had some excuse I didn't want to hear something about not enough time.. And I said well don't u plan for this kind of stuff... I felt like she just didn't care. I was disappointed but I still left her a very nice tip As I was handing her the tip she was talking to somebody else when I handed it to her and she just had her hand out and put it in her pocket she didn't say thank you she didn't look at me she kept talking.....extremely Rude!!. I wanted to say I'll take that back if you don't care about it.. I work for my money too.. But I wanted to be the bigger person. I left pissed for a few reasons. Next... I made another appointment luckily I got one the following week. Again she sits me in her chair and we start our consultation this time on what I'm looking for, the color, what I expect.. The usual things that need to happen..! She starts to apply the bleach on my hair..everything is going well so far I guess.. Then her second appointment shows up and she tells me that we have to hurry up since we took to long for the appointment in the beginning during consultation that consultation was 10 minutes at most! She rushed me for her friend! The next appointment was her freaking friend... So I'm sitting under the heater and she comes over to me and says "yep just a few more minutes if its not what you like don't freak out it's fixable ... It's not the end of the world.." ummmmm that doesn't make me feel good.... With bleach on my head!!! She said if you don't like it you can always come back... I'm getting more upset by the minute. Let me see already! And why would I want to come back I am paying over $350 for you to do your job! Not for anything but she did not offer me anything no foot spa no water she did offer me wine maybe she knew I needed to take a chill pill after I saw my hair. I was then guided to the rinse room where some other nice lady gave me a nice head massage I did enjoy that then my original hairstylist came in to tone me rinsed me then sent me to get my blow dry.. When I saw the towel come off my head and the blowdry stylist start to put treatment in my hair I wanted to cry when I tell you my ends were so damaged like Ramen noodles my hair was Caramel orange with hint of yellow I was so freaked.. She did not check on me at all I left that salon feeling so depressed upset that I had to pay that kind of money for that kind of treatment for that kind of experience and it's not at all the professionalism experience I wanted nor the color that I wanted and she blamed me for a lot of things. Like having a hint of red in my hair that's why it's brassy.. Just stop.. I'm paying a professional for a reason.. On another note she overcharged me for the darker part of my ombré that was only 2-3 inches from my roots down she charged me for a full head it could have been cheaper she charged me for a few inches of color .. Medium hair length she tried telling me.. Get real! I went home so upset I was looking forward to this for months.. A customer of mine told me not to let this slide she suggested that I call the manager immediately and I did I spoke to the assistant manager then the real manager I had to tell my whole long story twice they offered me to come in have somebody fix it and a deep conditioning treatment I said absolutely not I don't have that kind of time nor patience it should have been done right the first time I want my money back and I will be on my way I was not planning on writing a nasty review but I am still dealing with my fried hair on a daily basis and it bothers me every single day. I feel very sorry for people who have bad experiences like myself.. Us ladies go to salons and spas to relax. By the way the stylist I had her name was Samantha do not use her. If you read this entire post please know that I as well am in the cosmetology industry as well as the restaurant hospitality industry there is no excuse to send people home unhappy you should do anything you can do to make that client happy you guys are in the business by word of mouth at the end of the day. I have recently experienced very poor service from the Coconut Creek Pyure Aveda Salon and have yet to hear back from a manager to address my concerns. I recently decided to add blue highlights to my hair, so I called and made my appointment, letting the receptionist know I have long hair and I want chunky highlights, my hair has never been colored. Upon my first visit to the salon for color I was mistreated by the hair stylist, she started the coloring process and once there was bleach in my hair informed me the price she quoted me was not accurate and the color would be an additional $40. I agreed (there was already bleach in my naturally dark hair) and she proceeded to bicker about another customer throughout my entire visit. Due to the salons poor scheduling I was unable to have my hair cut and styled so I was being dismissed from my appointment without seeing the final product. Upon arriving home and inspecting/styling my hair I discovered strands of my hair that were still bleached with absolutely no color. I returned the following day and the color was again applied. Upon my second visit I stopped in before my booking my appointment for a consultation with a different stylist so my appointment could be properly booked. I made the appointment for (Thurs May 1) to have the color reapplied, I had much better service from the stylist but was again scheduled incorrectly so I was unable to have my hair cut and styled. Upon arriving home I had to again inspect/style my hair and AGAIN discovered areas of hair that did not have color applied. I was unable to return the following two days because I was attending my sisters graduation and a family gathering but I did call the salon the following day (Friday) and requested management contact me via telephone, it has now been over a week and management has not reached out to me. I called on Sunday May 4 to advise of the missing color and was advised I could come in to have it fixed. The one section I pointed out was corrected and I had to then go home to inspect/style and then discover another area without color. Upon my THIRD visit for this one color application I am offered a conditioning treatment for my inconvenience but I also request my hair be dried to verify the color is correctly applied. I had the color applied and my hair was dried but I was no longer offered the conditioning treatment. I have been frequenting this salon for over 2 years and referring family and friends, this was my first time ever trying color in my hair and this Aveda salon has ruined my experience. I would highly discourage anyone from going to this salon if you want your color done right the first time, I paid for an Aveda experience and was treated like I went to Super cuts. Update : 12/12/2014 To date the salon never even attempted to rectify or address any of my grievances. I have since found a high quality salon that knows how to do hair and treat their customers! read more

I used to go to this salon. When I first went there it wasn't bad. The hair cut was okay. I saw old talent for my hair cuts and new talent for single process dye. After going there for two years I finally had to cut them loose because I got raised consistently every six months on my hair cut and before I knew it I was paying $65 for a hair cut, plus tipping out shampoo girl and getting my hair dyed I couldn't get out of there less than $200. I now go to a salon in Boca and pay half the price and get better cuts and color. You should shop around before you go to this salon. Terrible! Master colorists did not know how to properly do high and low lights. The base color at the roots came out over an inch and then the high and low were put in. It looked terrible. The high lights were to too yellow and I asked for very light, not yellow high lights and the low lights were too yellow and not dark enough. They just don't seem to know what they're doing on color and do not stand up next to other Aveda salons I've been to. The cut, however was good. Master colorists need to go back to training in order to work to the standards of an Aveda salon. read more

I had a wonderful experience, My colorist was Tatiana. Amazing. At first I didn't get the color I wanted. However, when I was done, I fell in love with it. I use to go to an Aveda Institute in Tallahassee while at college. They did excellent work and always had a trainer overview all work. NOT THE CASE FOR COCONUT CREEK PROMENADE PYURE AVEDA! I have been to Aveda Pyure Coconut Creek 3 times now. Dissapointed twice! First time they did fine. Second time I told them I wanted to go more blonde. It was more a muted blonde...when I mentioned it to the stylist her words were. "That's ok. You can go blonder next time." Sorry...but not if I paid for it this time. I went again to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hair color came out nice but hair cut was butchered. Uneven on both sides while she chopped off too much in front. When I pointed it out..she said she would blend it and chopped more off!! Needless to say I now have to go to another salon to fix it! I will not be going there again!! read more

As I was doing so, she told me the price would be $90. I said "I'm sorry, I usually pay $50." (Mind you, this is for a simple shampoo, trim, and blow dry. Nothing fancy, nothing crazy.) She makes you feel so comfortable as if you've known her forever (I'm socially awkward when i first meet someone).
