    Yuzu Matcha cake cup
    John B.

This place is in a new shopping center next to a highway exit that itself is fairly recent. Despite this, it's a crowded area and appears to have attracted some quality niche businesses. This dessert place offered an appealing selection of high-end Japanese cakes, and the one I got, a layered mix of matcha and yuzu (a tart orange kind of a thing) was as rich and flavorful as it looked. The menu was larger than I had time for, but it looked worth coming back.

    Double cheesecake Matcha mousse cake

Super cute interior/vibes! It's a really small space so not great for studying/working. The double cheesecake was so fluffy and light - and the most perfect level of sweetness. The matcha mousse cake's texture was interesting. Not sure if I enjoyed that too much. Loved how it was overall not too sweet. The service was pretty slow albeit friendly.

    Closed until September :(

They are closed until the end of August, we traveled all the way from Southern Maryland to try the TikTok fruit mousse cakes. We got a cute selfie anyway and hope to return in September.

My friend and I stopped by Pâte à Cake after lunch this past Saturday. We were hoping to find a tasty dessert, and we stumbled across this bakery/patisserie in Spectrum Town Center. Surprisingly, it was empty. The interior is pretty small, so I'm sure it's more of a grab-and-go place. I got an osmanthus tea for myself, which came in an instant tea bag and hot water. I was hoping the tea was more fresh, unfortunately. Also, the cup and lid was a bit messed up so I ended up spilling a lot of tea on the table and myself, rip. MATCHA MOUSSE - 5.95 (maybe 6.95) It was so aesthetic and pretty. The matcha mousse is a half sphere dome where one side was delicately sprinkled with matcha powder forming a spiral design. The taste? Even better. The mousse was incredibly smooth and creamy without being too sweet. The matcha flavor was strong and not too bitter. My friend and I shared this and enjoyed it greatly. I would definitely recommend the matcha mousse. Would love to stop by and try the other pretty pastries and cakes if I'm in the area.

Mango Mouse cake. Added the "happy 50th" sign from Amazon. Order a week in advance! They did a gorgeous job with packaging (not shown)!

My husband and I love going here for the bite sized mango mouse, so of course I had to get him a version of it for his big 5-0! They did a lovely job. So happy with how it turned out. The flavor is just fragrant enough without being too sweet. Perfection.

    Earl grey, matcha, strawberry

Earl grey: Strong earl grey flavor. It's a whipped and light desert. Matcha: Not a very strong matcha flavor but good overall. It's like a custard/mousse filling and isn't too sweet. Strawberry: Probably my favorite of the three. This one had the strongest flavor in my opinion. Light and airy custard/mousse filling.

Love this cute cafe. Their desserts are full of flavor despite the soft and fluffy texture. This was certainly a hit when we gave it as a birthday dessert. They packaged our desserts very carefully too which I appreciate. I would definitely come back to try their drinks next!

Finally they had sesame cake and I could get one. It was already packed in a box with a fork. The cake was small, just right for four people to share. It was mild and not sweet. We didn't feel heavy afterwards. Perfect !

10.13.22 I arrived on a Thursday evening 30 minute before closing time. Some of the pastries were completely out. I asked the staff what was most popular and he said the soy milk custard cake. I was hesitant as typically I am not a fan of soy milk. He also said that the Japanese Cheesecake was good, although I thought it was pricy given the size. He informed me that their pastries are not sweet. I let a customer get ahead of me since I was indecisive. I finally decided to be adventurous and go with the custard cake. It may look simple and unappealing to some, but surprisingly it was tasty. The custard was light and airy and the cake was moist. Also it made me feel better thinking that it may have been healthier than the other options. Lol. In addition to pastries, they also sell coffee and tea.

Lychee crepe, lime crepe, black sesame cake. $43 post tax

In the past year or so, I've visited this place roughly 10 times. Pate a Cake has never disappointed! This time, I tried the lychee crepe, lime crepe, and black sesame cake (see pics below). Needless to say, all of them are amazing! The lychee crepe: placing your fork through it is almost like knifing through hot butter. The texture on the fork and in the mouth is amazing! The touch of the lychee and flower at the top of each bite is incredible. The lime/matcha crepe (the owner told me it's their new item!) has the same ups as the lychee crepe. My mouth first tastes the tingling sour sensation of the lime at top and immediately gets balanced out with the creamy and rich sweetness of the cream and matcha at the bottom. Superb! The black sesame cake is out of this world. First off the texture is foamy/creamy black sesame encircling the almonds and an unknown cream. Each bite was tender and the taste was, once again, outta this worldddddddddddddddddd. $12 each for the crepe and $16 for the cake. A bit expensive but the taste is sooooooo worth it! I will go back for sure!

The owners are so kind! I definitely want to come here more often for celebratory desserts. Everything is so unique and a piece of art! The desserts are beautiful, delicious and not too sweet! We tried the following desserts: - matcha mousse - white chocolate mousse - chocolate mousse - earl grey cake box My favorite was the chocolate mouse and the earl grey cake box. They also have birthday cakes and wedding cakes.

    These are just gorgeous.

We stopped in here after a visit to Hot Pot Hero, next door. It was a great place for dessert afterwards. The bakery doesn't look like much from outside or as you walk in (I was actually momentarily confused as to if it was a bakery!), but you'll spot the display case in a moment. The cakes are beautiful, and just incredible to look at. But they taste even better. We split a chocolate chestnut piece, and I'm considering going back for a second. Absolutely delicious, and a good portion.

If you're looking for a cute cafe with desserts almost too pretty to eat, you should visit Pâte à Cake! It's pretty quiet in the early afternoon and we were the only customers there half an hour after opening. The delightful displays house a wide variety of delicate mousses and beautiful desserts. However, from the pictures, I had expected the mousse to be larger in real life. Regardless, we ordered the Triple Chocolate Cake and the Matcha Mousse and were very satisfied with our selections! The Triple Chocolate Cake had a soft and fluffy sponge topped with smooth dark chocolate. The three people who tried this cake gave it a 4.3, 4.5, and 4.6 out of 5, but overall, it was delicious and didn't make us feel guilty after consuming it! When trying the Matcha Mousse, we were greeted by a very silky texture along with a fresh matcha taste. We gave it scores of 4.5, 4.6, and 4.8! Once again, we were extremely pleased that it was not too sweet but was slightly disappointed that the mousse itself was pretty small. We definitely want to return in the future to eventually try everything on the menu! Based on the price, it's more of a "once in a while" treat, but we're willing to pay a little extra for desserts suitable for our sugar preference! Overall, we had a 5/5 star experience with Pâte à Cake's wonderful cake and mousse and the friendly service!

They do also sell a variety of drinks, teas, and even greeting cards. Here is how everything was: The Chocolate mousse shooters with whipped cream (2 oz) was definitely decadent, but grainy tasting as well. It was tough to get over the texture of something so rich that was meant to be smooth and wasn't. I liked the Salted Caramel Cheesecake Shooters (2 oz) a bit more because of the different flavors (the cheesecake layer being my favorite). The Chocolate Covered Strawberries were nice, but the strawberries were tart (which is definitely tough to gauge). Lastly, the buttercream on the Mini Cupcake was overly sweet and the cupcake was not as moist as I would have anticipated. There is limited parking (outdoor) outside the shop, but it is free.

The new owner was a good dude. He provided great service, was very friendly & personable, and has lots of goals & innovations that he wants to accomplish for the business. I had a couple of items I wanted to try, but some of them weren't available. On my first trip, I got the carrot cupcake $3.95 and the Oreo cupcake $3.95. On my second trip, I came back to get my birthday gift they gave me which was $10 store credit, and got both of the cupcakes and a cinnamon crunch scone. Also, the near $4 price tag for the size of these cupcakes isn't something I'm too fond of, but oh well. - The carrot cake cupcake was good: the icing and cake complemented each other very well. - The Oreo cupcake was alright, but I wasn't impressed with it. - The cinnamon crunch scone was an easy miss for me, didn't do anything for my taste buds. Overall, it's a decent spot with a relatively limited amount of pastries but I fully expect in the coming months for the business to take a huge shift and really blossom.

Usually it's a whole cooking ordeal, but like Thanksgiving with my parents last year, we decided to get food already made. And interestingly enough, we had Indian men as well, haha. So we got.... Butter chicken Daal (lentils) Veggie biryani Chickpea masala We should've expected it, but we also received a ton of basmati rice, and got the lemon cardamom and eggnog tres leches churro cakes. Every single item was a 10/10, honestly. The butter chicken was so creamy and cashew based, and was easily my favorite item, though everything was fantastic. This might be the best Indian food in Maryland... I'm not shy to say that given how much I've had (though there is still plenty more to try). Applause. Give this place several claps for having amazing vegan desserts and amazing Indian food. If you haven't had it yet, what are you waiting for?!
