I planned a graduation party in less than two weeks and this was a pick off of yelp. The location and cake options sold me but the customer service and overall experience solidified my decision.. plus the cake was 10/10. Everyone agreed the flavor was DELICIOUS and the only thing I wish I did was get a bigger cake! I got a 6 inch cake thinking not everyone would have some. I also did get a dozen cookies and all of it was gone. Thank you to Raquel and team for delivering I will definitely be getting more cakes from here in the future.

I am so happy with my experience at custom cake design. From beginning to end everything was smooth. I was able to get transparent pricing upfront and the shop was very responsive with questions I had throughout the process. Invoicing was easily done through an emailed link. They were also kind enough to accommodate the best pick up time for me. And of course the cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! We got a chocolate vanilla swirl with strawberry filling and cream cheese frosting! Yum! I highly recommend & I will 100% be a returning customer.

Absolutely amazing service and product! The birthday girl and guests were very happy with the design and taste of this strawberry shortcake birthday cake. It was fresh, moist, delicious and even down to the perfectly sliced strawberries between the layers. Custom Cake Desigm has a repeat customer on their hands. Kudos!

So I took forever choosing what cake I wanted for my baby's 1st bday. With every question I had, staff was always quick to answer. I finally decided in cup cakes so when I went into the store, I changed my mind and decided to add a smash cake even though it was short notice. They made it work. Cake looked so nice and was more than what I expected it to be with only a few days notice. Price was great as well. Can't wait to see the cup cakes and cake pops! Update: 2023 Love this Garten of Ban Ban cake! She added a few things and it was wonderful and the taste was amazing!

This place really knows how to take a couple photos off Pinterest and turn them into a stunning cake, with all the personalizations you ask for. I called custom cake design about 2 weeks before my husbands birthday/book launch to see if they were able to assist with a special cake for him. I spoke with a lady who was very kind and accommodating. She talked through the options with me and made it very simple to send her the image for the top of the cake. When I arrived to pick up the cake there was a gentleman at the counter who showed me the cake first to make sure I liked it. Afterwards, he helped me carry the cake to the car and ensure that it was secured so it wouldn't get spoiled in transport.

I wanted a really special cake for my wife's big 40th! I decided on Custom Cake Design because they had a really cool Nike sneaker cake on their website's photo gallery. My wife is a HUGE sneaker head, so what could be more appropriate?! Being the first time I had ever ordered a custom cake, and not being able to go in and try the flavor combinations - I had a lot of questions. They communicated with me both phone and email promptly and were so accommodating. I even had a lot of changes in regards to delivery and flavors and they were beyond patient with me. I had the finalized order in a couple weeks advance and was so excited to see the results! I decided to do pick up over delivery since I was already out and about. When I picked up, I was a little disappointed. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication about the design on the sneaker. And because the size cake I ordered varied from the one on the photo gallery, my sneaker cake looked more like a high wedge cake versus a sneaker. (This was not communicated to me in advance.) My wife isn't feminine so the idea of a wedge or high heeled sneaker worried me. After I expressed my concern, they were willing to make some changes last minute. They fixed the design issue and made it look a little less feminine. I was relieved. It wasn't exactly what I imagined, but I really appreciated them doing what they could to resolve the issue. I selected the red velvet cake with whipped cream. It was AMAZING. The cake was SO MOIST. We don't normally like very sweet cakes, so I chose the whipped cream hoping it would balance out the sweetness. And it was PERFECT. I was so impressed. The prices are reasonable for the quality and taste! I would definitely come back and recommend them to others!

Laura is an amazingly talented baker! She worked with me to listen to what I was looking for and ended up designing a picture perfect 1st birthday cake (with a smash cake) for my son! I've had some custom made cakes before that do not taste as good as they look and that is NOT the case with Laura! Her cake was absolutely delicious and perfect buttercream frosting! They make sure to have a thorough consultation, to go over all the details of what you want. I enjoy that during the consultations, they provide a lot of recommendations but ultimately let you have full creative freedom. Their quality of work is very consistent, their cakes not only look great but also taste amazing. All communication by phone or text but I felt like it was thorough. My daughter was floored by the cake and I was very happy. Though your product is delicious and I've bought 6 cakes over time from you with no issues I was taken back with your responses. When first contacted you gave me days of the week where you do tastings and we made a selection. When you asked for more information and I responded you then said that due to covid you no longer do tastings. This didn't sit right with me. You then stated your minimum serving size was 50 and that we could pick up a box of samples and communicate via phone or email. When I advised that I wanted a two tier cake (wedding) for at least 50 your tone changed yet again. You need to be careful how you interact with your customers. You made me feel my son's and future daughter-in-laws intimate affair was too small for you to bother with. What you didn't realize was I was also looking for other desserts for a dessert table. I was very disappointed in the overall attitude. read more

I called to place an order for a cake. And the lady who picked up was being rude. I had a few questions about the order and she replied with "normally customers don't ask these many questions." There wasn't any need for her to say that. If im a customer I should be able to ask how ever many questions I want for a cake I'm paying for. Terrible customer service. My wife ordered from here in the past and we were satisfied with the quality. Today we picked up an order and it just looked horrible. It was supposed to be pokemon cake pops. Raquel is a genius, she solve my birthday problem. We needed to do a drive by party so Raquel suggested we do cupcakes and empanadas and hand them out as waives and beeps go by. Funny fact- their ingredients are so pure and wholesome that when my dog jumped on the counter and ate an entire birthday cake- fondant, icing and all, he never got sick and showed no signs of tummy distress. read more

Amazing! We ordered a cake for our son's first birthday and it was PERFECTION. I ordered over the phone, emailed a pic of a cake similar to what I wanted, talked over phone to discuss changes that I wanted and picked it up three days later. It was beautiful and most of all was delicious. I have ordered from other places where the cake has been nice to look at but lacked in taste. I extremely picky with the particular designs i wanted and was searching around the the Montgomery county area and after getting quotes and design approvals I decided to go with CCD because they were by far the cheapest AND they approved each design and detail i wanted for the cake, the cupcakes and the cookies. most importantly their customer service was outstanding! Raquel was EXTREMELY nice!!! They did an amazing job! the theme was monkeys and bananas! the cupcakes were made exactly how i had asked them to! the frosting even tasted like bananas! and the smash cake was Perfect! The cookies were shaped like bananas and they looked and tasted amazing! The taste was Delicious! it was like a sweet taste of heaven! I would recommend this place to Everyone I know. We ordered our wedding cake from Custom Cake Design and we are so happy we did!!! When we walked into our wedding reception venue, we were blown away with how beautiful our cake looked!! We selected a white chocolate cake with raspberry and vanilla Bavarian cream inside and vanilla icing. OMG it tasted like a slice of heaven!! All of our guests were so amazed at how wonderful our cake tasted.
