Sonia baked our wedding cake and was so accommodating! She communicated well and offered us great options. We decided on a 3-tier vanilla cake with vanilla icing (no decorations). It was also delivered to the reception site wedding day afternoon. The cake itself was beautifully done and elegant looking. More importantly , it was delicious. The cake portion was rich (but not heavy) with a buttery flavor. The icing was light, creamy and not too sweet. All the guests enjoyed it and couldn't believe it was vegan! More recently we purchased chocolate cupcakes and they were just as tasty. Will definitely purchase more items in the future. read more

If you thought the bakery was fantastic, wait until you try her Indian food options. My sister and I take a peek at her menu every now and then. She posts special items on social media, but she always has some traditional entrees. There are no single servings. They come in portions for 3 to 4 individuals, and the prices for the various items are in the 20s. For the holidays, we decided to switch things up and order a bunch of items to try. Usually it's a whole cooking ordeal, but like Thanksgiving with my parents last year, we decided to get food already made. And interestingly enough, we had Indian men as well, haha. So we got.... Butter chicken Daal (lentils) Veggie biryani Chickpea masala We should've expected it, but we also received a ton of basmati rice, and got the lemon cardamom and eggnog tres leches churro cakes. Every single item was a 10/10, honestly. The butter chicken was so creamy and cashew based, and was easily my favorite item, though everything was fantastic. This might be the best Indian food in Maryland... I'm not shy to say that given how much I've had (though there is still plenty more to try). Applause. Give this place several claps for having amazing vegan desserts and amazing Indian food. If you haven't had it yet, what are you waiting for?! read more

Lovely cupcakes! They are moist, flavorful and you wouldn't be able to tell a difference from normal cupcakes! My fav was the tres leches my husbands favorite was cookies and cream! We bought a dozen for a friend's birthday. Will definitely be back! Love supporting a small home business. I wish the Lemon Cardamom cake had more depth and more frosting like some of the other pictures I've seen from their site. It was really hard for me to find a vegan bakery that sold cakes in Rockville, so I'm still grateful that I was able to find this place. read more

I found Sonia out of luck when I needed an eggless/vegan made cake. She was very responsive and accommodating. The Red Velvet cake was not only beautiful but fresh and delicious! "Merry Birthday" Decorations and candles were added by me and Sonia added the ribbon around the cake with the pearls on the frosting. Definitely recommend! read more

My family was visiting from out of the states and was blown away and could not believe it was vegan. Texture was perfect, sweetness was not too much like other cakes, just right. Service was great, profesional, and very accommodating. Glad to have had them recommended to me because not many other vegan businesses in the area make this type of cake; as this was the flavor the birthday girl had asked for. I am so glad that I finally ordered from The Namaste Kitchen! I found this business originally through a DMV area vegan Instagram account, and have been wanting to order from here for quite some time. This order was for my elopement cake and we chose the Chocolate Berry cake which was so delicious and beautiful (perfect for our photos). My partner and our photographer are not vegan, and they both agreed that the cake was absolutely delicious and one of the best cakes they've had! The actual cake was moist and the icing was buttery soft (but 100% vegan). I know that the cake is going to look fantastic in our photos. The entire experience working with Sonia was completely great. She was extremely helpful and answered all of the questions we had. She went above and beyond researching the best way to maintain the integrity of the cake during an 8 hour road trip to our elopement destination. She took extra care wrapping and packaging everything perfectly for us. We can't thank Sonia enough for our perfect cake on our special day. I will recommend Sonia and her business to everyone, whether they are vegan or not. I can't wait to order her other cakes/cupcakes and to try other food items on her menu.
