I am not sure why it took me so long to find this place but I'm glad I did. Each time, I'm greeted with a friendly face and get promptly seated with hardly any time to read the special board. The daily specials range from crab cakes topped with shrimp and a creole sauce over homemade mashed potatoes to brisket burgers. I've had a few things here but the breakfasts look amazing. I'm more of a lunch person. Today, it was lightly grilled Cobia over a broccoli bacon cornbread with romalude sauce with a side salad. The sauce had shrimp and crab and was expertly flavored The combination of fish and cornbread was very original. The honey mustard dressing looks and taste homemade. It has been a while since I called a breakfast place special, but that is what Q Cafe is. I just love it when a server clearly loves what they do and is proud of the food that is served. Deonna made us feel like we had picked the best menu items - of course, she coached us a bit on how to order. Fried pork chop with hash browns, scrambled eggs & cheese, country gravy, and a biscuit. So delicious!!! And the Sweet Swine pancakes with candied bacon are a must. The perfect combo of sweet & savory. Everyone couldn't be any nicer here and we even got tips on what to do while in town. Excellent food, great staff. Was so happy went back for breakfast the next morning. Get the porkchop breakfast which is not on the menu. Mark is a hot sauce lover. I checked out his line and he asked what I was looking for. "Looking for a hot sauce. I see one." He said he is a hot sauce lover too. He made a dish for me, brought it out with crackers. I dipped a spoon. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." I did it as he walked away. I walked up to the order window. "So. Got any hot sauce back there?" I asked, dipping up another spoon of his hot sauce. His eyes about popped out. He said he eats Carolina reapers but cannot eat that sauce straight. If you can get him to make it for you, it is hot (disclaimer: Mark said most people will go outside and dial 911 complaining they cannot breathe). It has a delightful fruity taste and no sourness. We have wanted for some time to come he here. They close at 2pm and that makes it hard for people who work in Tallahassee. Today was the day! It is a very busy place. We only two of us, we were seated fast. You can order breakfast or lunch. I got the Big Boy Grilled cheese sandwich, with tomatoes and bacon on sourdough bread. Sweet potato fries and Mac & cheese. My husband got 4 giant pancakes with bacon and 2 eggs. Walking out I saw so much more food I want to try. This place is very small hometown good. Great for a group of old friends or family brunch. At least once a week and sometimes more, we have to get our Q-fix! My wife eats breakfast and I eat lunch and you can get both at any time. Aside from great food, what I really like is their flexibility when I ask for something that's either not on the menu or ask to change something that is on the menu... very few places do that anymore. Visiting Thomasville for the 100th annual Rose Festival. Tried Q Cafe for the first time. The wife and I both had The Butcher omelette with home fries, biscuits, and a side of gravy. The omelette was loaded and good. The home fries were well cooked and excellent as we dipped them in the gravy. The biscuits were a pleasant finishing touch. The service was warm and friendly. I will definitely try more things when I get a chance such as the French toast that looked pretty good in the order window. Overall, this is a warm and comfortable place to eat breakfast. read more

This is my go to breakfast/brunch spot on Saturday mornings. On this particular visit we ordered the Big Boy bowl and the meatloaf special. The breakfast bowl was piled high with home fries covered in cheese and chock full of bacon, sausage, peppers and onions. On top was a perfectly cooked medium egg. The meatloaf was moist and served with mashed potatoes and a rich gravy. Both items hit the spot! Mark and his crew do a fantastic job of serving honest and delicious home cooked food. I have never had a biscuit as good as this! I have no idea how I've lived in Tallahassee for so long and never knew about this little gem in Thomasville until I went here in June. The atmosphere is very inviting and everyone was super friendly. I ordered an omelette with grits. Very delicious and seasoned perfectly. The best part is the ginormous biscuit you get. Easily one of the best breakfast experiences I have ever had! And let me tell, eating at Q Cafe is an experience! I got a lucky seat right in front of the kitchen, watching each dish served fresh off the griddle. It was like a food runway show. The omelets are so colorful, filled with peppers and onions and maybe even some brisket! But truly, the biscuits are the stars of the show! I didn't know a biscuit could be so big and fluffy! If I had eaten nothing else, I would have left completely content. Each has a piece of southern love (aka mounds of butter) baked inside of it. My farmer's pride omelet was perfect and the added biscuit and home fries made it a struggle to finish the whole meal. If you haven't had breakfast at the Q cafe, you need to go as soon as you can. This place is fantastic. They have mastered standard breakfast fare--omelets, potato skillets, pancakes and waffles. The kitchen runs like a well oiled machine (if you are lucky enough to sit in one of the front tables you can watch the show) and the service is great. But what keeps me coming back are the biscuits--they are amazing--big and fluffy. The restaurant can get pretty crowded on a Saturday morning, but the line moves quickly. read more

The service OMG, their whole team (cooks,waitresses and the owner) are all awesome, everybody was smiling, not one person on cell phone, they gave all the customers their undivided attention. The crab meat on the gulf omelet was slim to none with fluffy tasting eggs. The traditional southern breakfast was not very southern ... You're standard eggs, bacon, and sausage plate you can find at a chain breakfast location like IHOP or Denny's. I would highly recommend they tone down the lighting. Wow!!! My boyfriend and I came to town for the shops and stumbled upon this restaurant. We sat right across from the kitchen window and the kitchen staff was communicating with one another and all smiles while enjoying the music playlist. The food was delivered to our table in impeccable time. My boyfriend got the honey buffalo chicken sandwich with the mac and cheese and I got their Philly Cheesesteak special with the broccoli and cheddar cheese corn bread. The mac and cheese was his favorite. My cheesesteak had the perfect amount of yummy hot cheese (which I was told was made in house) and grilled peppers! What impressed me the most was the cornbread.
