I'm starting to love J. Crew more and more. This store is large and has a great selection of women's clothes and shoes. They also have a nice selection of fashion jewelry. It's very organized. The clothing is high quality so they last for a long time. They have a nice size clearance section in the back which is organized by color so it makes it easier to search through. Every of my close friends knows I am a big fan of J.Crew. If anyone doesn't, he or she ain't that close to me after all :P I started wearing J.Crew when I was in college. I dare to say my relationship with J.Crew is longer than most of their staffs working in the store or at the head office in Manhattan or at the customer service located at Lynchburg, VA. Needless to say, I am a very loyal customer and has a certain expectation from J.Crew. Early this year, my package arrived stained, reeked of whatever stench and a tire mark left by a truck left me appalled and outraged. For the first time I wrote to J.Crew after having a long relationship over a decade. The then CEO Mr. Mickey Drexler, on the very same day, got someone to contact me. Long story short, I hate UPS Surepost. I have forgiven J.Crew cos it was not entirely their fault. Those crazy sequined pants, those ugly tops and ridiculous "who on earth will wear them" outfits, that's J.Crew's fault (or the former creative director whose creativity has gone hay wired). I am glad the current brand is going back to how J.Crew once was. So the above is a bit of my recent history with J.Crew. Now back to this J.Crew store at Lenox. This is my favorite J.Crew store for the past decade. My former stylist has left the company but even before he did, Rosemary was the other person who often helped me. Now she is my go to person at this store. Truthfully I don't think I really need a stylist, I know my style, I know what I want, what to wear and how to match any pieces of apparel. My former stylist friend always said that about me and I never need him as a stylist lol! Rosemary is fun and has a bubbly personality. She is very nice and helpful; I usually need her help to place an order for me after I see something I like in the store. Afterall, now the store no longer carries petite sizes or 000. I remember once I woke up in the morning and decided I needed to have this dress in 000. My size was completely sold out online, I called Rosemary in the store and she found the only piece was available in a store in Virginia. Needless to say, I received that dress a few days later. For a very long time, I mean a very very long time, I am all about black or navy. I am not big in colors. Somehow, in recent times, I must have hit my head on a curb while walking, I started buying bright citron, dark papaya, orchid, etc.. Smh!! Rosemary just said today it's good that I am doing more colors, cos it's good to live a little, lol! I am not sure if my dresses are all black or navy means I don't. This J.Crew store receives more of the clothings available online than any other J.Crew stores in Atlanta or other parts of the state. For anyone who is new to this J.Crew store, I highly recommend Rosemary if one needs any help. She is THE best there! read more

My wife and I visited the store to do some holiday shopping around 1:45-2:15pm and upon finding a couple of items we were searching for we walked up to one of the men shopping who completely ignored us when we asked for a different size. He just looked at us and told us to find the gloves and walked away. We find the item ourselves online and proceed to the register to order just that item since the employee did not seem to be interested in us buying. At the register we are greeted by the same employee who tries to put in the order for us but seems to be having trouble processing. Another employee looks over with a very condescending tone and says maybe it's our card that isn't working (it ended up being the store's system) which was extremely rude and uncalled for. The other employee proceeded to smirk at us and not help at all. Lastly, when the transaction finally goes through it turns out the employees helping us did not submit the online order and has to re-process the transaction. At this point we were not very interested in the item since they were completely rude. The store manager (Gabby, I believe) was kind enough and voided the original transaction but I am still shocked that both male employees were so extremely rude to both me and my wife and would even insinuate that we don't have money to shop there. This experience has left me disinterested in JCrew, which is a shame because I am a big fan and have even referred my clients to the store. To add insult to injury, I contacted corporate about this and it's been two weeks and still no one has reached out to me. It seems that it's cool to be snobby and stuck up at this store. Newsflash... you're a clothing store with attainable quality/prices. You're not special, same as me. No need to ever be stuck up with a customer I hope that this complaint makes its way to someone who will take training employees on customer service more seriously as so many people here on yelp have mentioned similar problem with rude employees. UPDATE: Contacted corporate and was never reached out to. Just ignored. Probably why this store's Yelp rating is so terrible at the moment. read more

J.Crew is my go-to store. Unfortunately, there wasn't a sale going on at the time and the current selection of clothes wasn't too great. I really wish there were more 7" inseam shorts and graphic tees. The employees were very helpful though. While checking out, the cashier did mention that there was a 15% student promo going on so that helped save me some money. read more

I went in expecting to be at J. Crew for an hour and change, just to try on and size out some badly needed pants. Nah, in and out in 25 minutes. Best experience at Lenox that I've ever had. Meredith was amazing, super helpful and very knowledgeable. I was able to not only grab 4 new pairs of pants and a shirt that fit and I was happy with, but got some additional fashion advice on being able to match up and pair some shoes and styles I have at home. read more

I work at this location. I love this store and where it is located. Being right next to Macy's we are a high volume high traffic store that has modern styles that will appeal to all people. From the knits shirts to the modern sweaters and broken in chinos and jeans it has a style and size for everyday people. I'd like to review my bridesmaid dress appointment here which I had this past weekend. First off, I'd like to say that I've been in love with J.Crew dresses since they came out with dresses. The Shadyside store in Pittsburgh, PA where I went to college had a special dress section (this is back when J.Crew was first starting to sell special occasion dresses) and it was here that I got the dress for my first date with my now-fiance :) So of course I would check out the dresses here for our wedding! I came here with one of my bridesmaids and we promptly showed up at 11AM on Sunday - Hmm the doors were locked. That's unfortunate. We waited around 5 minutes before I decided to call the store and tell them I had a 11AM appointment. Immediately two wedding specialist came to let us in. I wish they had come outside right at 11AM to greet us though. Anyways, we got in and they asked me what material/colors I was looked at. I was pretty un-decided so they bought out a couple of colors and 2 types of materials. To be honest, it was only about 7 dresses. We looked at the silk chiffon and cotton caddy ones only - I wonder where the silk taffeta ones were although I didn't think to ask until the appointment was over and we were already in the car. I would've preferred to see more options. Everyone was really nice and the appointment was cool (you had the whole dressing room area to yourself) but the dresses were just way out of our price range. I really wanted to stick to something less than 150. It's unfortunate because J.Crew dresses really used to be reasonably priced but I couldn't justify my bridesmaids paying 200+ for a dress they'll probably never wear again. Regardless, it was a nice, calm and personalized experience. I would recommend going there with a strong idea of what you want because you won't be able to shift through any dresses, you have to know EXACTLY what you want to try on. Also, please make sure to make your appointment in advance. There were very limited openings for weekends and even weekdays there was about a week delay from the time you booked to when your appointment is. Edit: Just saw on weddingbee that some Jcrew stores let you try on the bridesmaids dresses without having an appointment (as in, they're hung outside instead of inside the storeroom) and some Jcrew stores also have color swatch binders. Anyways, this Jcrew (which I believe is the only one in Atlanta with bridesmaids dresses) doesn't but I would check others if you're interested. read more

Because they should be fired for allowing this poor behavior to continue. Customer service is not a priority here. I bought my bridesmaid dresses here, and my experience was a little hectic but the customer service & the dresses really made it worth it all. I worked with Michelle, the wedding specialist, and she was so helpful. I was extremely indecisive during this time. I even made one appointment intending to order the dresses, but then to come in and find that I really didn't know what color I wanted. She was really patience, and never did she pressure me. I have 7 bridesmaids and a few live in different states so I felt kind of flustered having to get all their correct sizes. Michelle assured me that I could just order sizes for them and they could return at any JCrew store. At one point, one of my girls ordered a 0, but it was extremely short. I called Michelle and the dress turned out to be a 0 Petite (with a tag size 0). So I returned it and then reordered the correct size. Also, if any promos happen after you purchase bridesmaid/bridal dresses, my suggestion is just give your JCrew wedding specialist a call and ask them about it! I ended up getting 20% off the total purchase with a new J.Crew card plus a promo that actually started a few weeks after I ordered. read more

I really like J. Crew, I just have one complaint....33 inches is NOT tall, let's try like 34 -36 inches for tall. I do like the sweaters, and the suits. I bought my first real suit from J. Crew. Although it was incredibly expensive and I had to take the hem out of the "long" (33 inch) pants & have them re-hemed, it's a timeless suit that will last forever I hope....with the price that I paid for it, it better last forever! read more

I scheduled an appointment with their personal shopper, Natalie, as I needed some new updates to my wardrobe. Coming from a more varied climate, I knew I needed more warm weather items when moving to Atlanta. Natalie was not only patient and helpful, she also helped me build a collection of items I can mix, match and layer. She pushed me a bit out of my comfort zone and had me try things I'd never think of (a beach cover up as a tunic dress over shorts = one of my favorite outfits to date). I like the crew. Great for preppy clothes (obvi). Consistent. Classy. Must haves: flip flops, summer dresses and bathing suits. I have had the same crew bathing suit for over 5 years and it has no picks or fading on it at all. This store feels slightly more cramped than the Perimeter store but I think the selection is better. During Christmas time the store is super busy and a little hectic and I would highly recommend visiting the online website. read more

I came to this J Crew store with my girlfriends for bridesmaid dresses. We worked with Michelle, who is wonderful! She was so accommodating and was extremely helpful during the appointment. We were able to find the perfect dress, and Michelle took care of everything for us. One of my bridesmaids is out of state, and Michelle was able to set up everything for her. Michelle's hospitality did not end with the appointment, but has extended to follow-up emails and calls! Just a GREAT experience with Michelle! read more

Every time I call to inquire about an item in the store, the person answering the phone is clueless. First of all, I shouldn't know more about their inventory than they do. Horrible customer service. I used to work in Lenox Mall myself and I'm appalled that people this rude were hired for customer service jobs... I've been in this particular location five or six times, and they get more rude every time I visit it seems. You can stand waiting for a dressing room for 20 minutes while employees walk by and don't offer to help. When you ask them if they have a different size in an item they act like you're asking for their first-born child. After finishing transactions, they don't hand you your bag or receipt- they shove it across the counter towards you. I understand that people have bad days, but when you experience nothing but rude employees each time you go, it really makes you feel unwanted in the store. I definitely do not recommend this J. Crew location. Shop online or at the Perimeter location; they have much nicer employees at Perimeter. read more

this is the biggest jcrew store i've been to in the south. large selection of their collections, friendly staff, great deals/findings from the sale section. i got a cotton dress for 20 bucks, and few other things... i am in love with their cashmere for the past 5 years. unfortunately I think jcrew is aware of my love, because they keep raising their prices and yet i continue to appreciate their cashmere sweaters. read more

J. Crew is pretty much my favorite clothing store. They have a great variety of casual and formal clothing for guys that are reasonably priced and a discounted section in each store where you can usually find some pretty good deals. For someone with a slimmer build like me, I love that J. Crew offers many slim fit options (and continues to introduce more). The Lenox store is the flagship location for J. Crew in the Atlanta area. They stock some pieces that are not easily found at regular stores. For guys, the suit selection here is phenomenal. While the selection here is good, it's not great considering that it's supposed to the best in the city. It even pales in comparison to some J. Crew factory stores I have been to. I guess space constraints may have something to do with that. The service is usually good and can be even exceptional, but I've experienced a few hiccups. I don't mind mentioning someone's name who has helped me out when I check out at the counter, but to just randomly remind me your name when all you got me was a fitting room is over-the-top (or maybe I am just heartless). Also I was made to feel guilty when I tried to layer some discounts I had on my last visit, which has never happened to me at any J. Crew store before. Oh well, I was right... I have been an avid shopper at Lenox Sqaure Mall for several years and have always have mixed feelings about certain stores. Before I start my review, I will say that I have worked in the retail industry for several years as well as having a BFA in Fashion Retail Management and Merchandising. With that being said, I feel as though my review might be taken with more tact than that of any ordinary shopper based on my knowledge of retail operations. I have specifically shopped at the JCrew location for several years and have always had less than mediocre customer service from any department inside the store. Do not get me wrong, I really enjoy the merchandise and think that the quality, style and over aesthetic that the company provides is amazing and really tailors to the "all-american lifestyle". However, I don't really think anyone wants to shop their when the staff is not only cold but uninviting. I really started to notice a major problem when the new 'Mens Shop' opened up about a year or two ago. I was really excited about the expansion of the mens product line and the overall renovation of the store! To make this simple, let me bullet point my concerns: 1. I understand that you feel the need to have a 'security personnel' at the front of your 'Mens Shop' however, you could at least tell him to greet customers upon arrival in and out of your store. Also, while we are on this topic, I'm fairly certain that him playing on his cell phone instead of adding value/protection to the store isn't monetarily adequate to the companies standards. 2. We get it, you like having what luxury stores refer to as 'client books'. Therefore, you have the urgency to call such clients and follow up on such needs. However, when you have a physical (future client) customer in the store at that moment, at least take the courtesy to acknowledge such an individual, maybe with eye contact and a smile. 3. Lenox Mall is busy, I get that, your customers get that. You probably have 467 million things to do on your list. But, While you're running around frantically trying to get all you need to get done, take the time when you pass a customer to say "Hi! How are you?/Can I help you find something?". We want attention and your help! 4. Multi-tasking! Wow! What a new term in which the staff of JCrew has apparently not heard of! So you're helping a customer with a tailored suit and you and I both know that is a money maker since they are anywhere from $300-600! However, the guy in sweatpants looking like crap may be the CEO of a booming social media company worth 3.7 million dollars and you might assume he's a bum with no money. Heck, he could probably buy your entire company! Ask him if he needs help and say (Again mentioned above) "Hi sir, how are you today?". Then take the time to go see if he needs any additional sizes. Now for the positives! (yay, finally!): 1. Love Love Love that your company carries extra small sizes! Im a super slim cut and it's hard to find product in such a variety. 2. Window displays always look appealing and aesthetically accurate to what JCrew seems to be giving off as a company message. Nice Job! 3. Your womens department customer service is awesome. No need to say more. 2 thumbs up guys! 4. Everything is usually very tidy and well organized. Hopefully you guys get it together, I'm tired of having to drive to Perimeter just for JCrew! read more

I have to say, I love jcrew clothing; however, the staff is always rude. Both the Lenox mall and Perimeter mall staff ignore any shopper that is not dressed like a society house wife. I walked into an empty jcrew at perimeter mall today, and every worker looked directly at me, said nothing, and continued gossiping with the other workers lounging around the store. The vibe made me feel very uncomfortable, so I quickly exited the store even though I had plenty of money to spend. Jcrew definitely needs to work on their employee training. read more
