Really enjoy going to the q club on a laid back night. The atmosphere is inviting. Everyone's friendly and alcohol is reasonably priced, for a bar. They have a small dance floor, pool tables, and a dart board. The deck area is nice and pretty spacious. It's not ever too crowded which is nice. If you're looking for somewhere that's laid back and not trying to get all dressed up then this is the place to go! Lots of near by places to eat too! read more

I come here all the time and I have to say. Hands down they have the best carne asada fries and micheladas! Today I went in and asked for their DUI FRIES and asked for no meat. The bartender kindly asked the cook to add more avocado instead free of charge. Seriously I was so happy! They were delicious as usual. The bartenders are super friendly as well! I dont go here very often because i really dont drink out much at bars. however I do like that they have an awesome dj who plays alot of the types of music i listen to. anything from hiphop spanish rap cumbias old school all in all he is a great dj. i like that he mixes it up and so far the 3 times i been here he hasnt played techno. thats awesome i hate techno to the fullest. The service is ok i feel like the bar tenderes can be a little more prompt but i love the environment the patio is roomy and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves no drama no bs. and thats the kind of place i like to go. read more

Came here for the first time on a Friday & I left with feeling that I might not want to come back... But first, let me tell ya about what was good. Bartender & servers were really nice & knowledgeable about their drinks. Also the scene is pretty cool & laid back, kind of a dive bar feeling but with well kept pool tables. Pizza was average but beer on tap selection was awesome. Now the bad, drinks were VERY OVERPRICED. Waiting a good while to get the drinks from the waitress is a whole other battle & don't get me started on how long it takes to close out a tab. Also, saw a guy randomly get punched while sitting at a bar and they asked him to leave because the drunk guy that punched him was more of a headache to kick out. Stupid motion sensor light in men's bathroom kept turning off so I couldn't even take a crap without opening the door & waving my hand outside the stall. All in all, not worth the money or sketchyness so not coming back. read more

Divey as can be. The bar tender was nice, the pool tables looked maintained, and the crowd was locals. I didn't go into the place with super high expectations, but it does just that - it meets expectations. The beer was a little expensive for being a dive. Just because you are "security" doesn't mean you have to act like a rude douche towards patrons.(very unprofessional). 5/10 cleanliness. Service is ...non existent. Not sure what caused Q club to lose pitcher and glass serving, but be forewarned, after 10pm you can only have beer in plastic cups and can't order pitchers. (they literally go around taking your glasses and pitchers)Now,anyone who drinks beer knows plastic kills flavor and temperature .....with the price of alcohol , no thanks.. I don't want a room temp beer in plastic . Add in $12 an hour for a pool table you've got yourself a pretty sub par destination. I only give it two stars because it's open, has a full bar and can order food. Note to the owners, you guys have a great location and can improve with re investing some of your profits into new flooring , a separate service station for just pool players and just general upkeep. beer pong at a pool hall....doesn't make sense either. read more

It sucks I have to even write this. I NEVER write reviews... I was sitting next to the door. My husband is a regular that plays golden tee. I served tables for 12 years and would NEVER treat a customer this way. The bouncer that started working all the sudden at 9pm asked me and my friend to take our drinks off the table....not so be could clean it but so he could take our table to the front of the restaurant. Didn't tell us what was going on. Just took our table away from us. . Then didn't have the nerve to tell me his name because he was so rude. I'm so blown away. He was the RUDEST!! Literally there was probably 30 empty tables around us in this divey shit hole bar and he took away the 1/30 table that was being used. And acted like i was the dickhead. I can't even. Bar tenders we're great and it breaks my heart I even have to leave this. Whomever you are, you shouldn't be in the service industry read more

It really pays to enter a place with no preconceived notions. I was brought to this place by my friends after my favorite hang out, Play Billiards was closed down. I found the beer cheap and really enjoyed the beer pong tables they provided for you. Its really cool to play beer pong is a lively joyful enviorment with tons of people instead of with just a handful of people in you mom's empty house. I appreciated the vending machine that ended up giving my friends and I some really cheap food options even after the kitchen closed. We ended up eating Kettle chips and beer all night long. I was told after the fact that there were a lot of gangster that frequent this place and I really didn't notice that many, maybe I was oblivious to them or maybe I have resigned myself to the fact that there is going to always be a certain level of gangsters in every bar I go to. There were a lot of people crowding around the punching machine, showing off how hard they punch. Maybe this was what my friend was talking about, a lot of Alpha males crowded around punching things as hard as they can but I was in no way threatened by them since I too am and Alpha male and am full of self confidence, unlike my Beta friend Manny. Went to this place on a Wednesday night. Left my debit card at the bar and went home. If you can get past the shady looking/douchey clientele that sometimes hovers outside, this place is legit. Reasonably priced, fairly spacious, the smoking patio is a nice touch. Parking can be a sumbitch sometimes (I had trouble on a THURSDAY night) but usually is ok. read more

Awesome place on MMA/Boxing Nights. If you want to get a good seat... you need to come early. Food is just a tad pricey... to your average Joe... But I really don't care. Military discount is a plus. been here alot of times.. never in my whole life have i ate a philly steak sandwich. and it so happens that i was too lazy to go get money out of my car that my friend gave me a piece of his Philly sandwhich from the q club , thats when my eyes opened up to the truth.i was in heaven. i give this place 4 stars because I guess ever time I come here the same style of music is playing...and sometimes its the same type of people are here..but i guess just like any other venue you cant really change those conditions. never really been there on a mon-wed....night so i wouldn't know... i give 5 stars to the security because they don't take advantage of their positions. its nice to know that this place has security that treats their patrons with respect and only use force when needed. read more

A late review, sorry. I loved this place, dropped by Jun 15 around 11:30 am, there wasn't anyone around but I met Amber the bartender, she was awesome, reccomended the sliders, which were great, had my Stella, talked to her and she made me the official jukebox dj, she loves classic rock (what more do you want?), met the owner who was also pretty cool to talk to. Will definitely be back. After 5 Stella's my best friend's baby's bday was more enjoyable :) And Happy Hour on the weekends, it's heaven baby. The price for a big mug of Stella was only $3. Seems like a great place to play pool...but that maybe the only reason to go. Don't go for the food. If they bring it to you it may not be correct so make sure you are clear when you order. Once you get it you'll find, the quality is sub-par as well. You'd be better off eating right before you go. In addition there is no service. This is a self serve bar. If you want service you need to either sit at the bar or call the server over 5 minutes before you need something. One last thing, unless you're a Raiders or Cowboys fan (and even then I'm skeptical) don't go for NFL games. This is a pool hall that is trying to bring in NFL patrons. Unfortunately it's only with a halfhearted attempt. Look elsewhere for a good time watching a game. read more

I'm a frequent customer because I need a place to watch PPV, and getting someone to put something on is a fight to the death - no one cares and everyone has an attitude. A group of friends and I were pushed out onto the patio to continue watching what we were watching, and then the manager came out and turned off our TV. I'll take my money else where. read more

Went to this crappy place tonight and WAS NOT IMPRESSED. First off, I came up to the bar and waited for about 3-5 minutes and was not acknowledged by an employee. I understand that you're in the middle of doing something but at least say "I'll be right with you". My boyfriend then joined me and we waited for the clueless bartender to come ask us what we would like to drink. About 5 people walked up to the other side of the bar and that incompetent (and apparently blind) twit, helped them first. I let it go after the first person but when the 5th one got served first, we walked away. Unfortunately we had to stay for a meeting. My boyfriend decided to try again and order something. He went to the bar and told the bar wench that it was kind of rude to ignore people who were there first. And then you greedy bastards charged us $23 for 2 beers!! Um, I don't know if you are aware but this is OXNARD not Beverly Hills. Your bar is not anything special by any means. I would expect to pay $10+ per drink on Sunset Blvd but NOT OXNARD. I sure as hell am not paying for the atmosphere because there was/is none. I enjoy shooting pool as a hobby and was looking for somewhere local to shoot pool and have a beer after work to relax and get away from home. A friend of mine recommended the Q club to me. Realizing it was near where i live i decided to check it out. From the moment i steeped inside i knew it was the place for me. The security guard was very welcoming and polite, and to my satisfaction it was not crowded what so ever. They had karaoke which was nice to enjoy while i did a little shooting. There was a young lady passing by me as i steeped in and she immediately welcomed me asking me if she can be of help to me, i asked for a table and a drink and was immediately attended, within five min i was shooting pool and drinking an oatmeal beer the waitress had suggested. The beer was something i would normally not order but to my surprise very delicious and on special not to mention. I began to feel a little hungry but didn't want to order a big meal considering it was around ten a clock and had already had dinner, the waitress was very attendant checking in very often so i decided to ask her what she recommended. She suggested a "popper taco" i believe it was called saying it was one of her favorite somewhat appetizer if i was looking for something small yet satisfying and filling. I ordered two considering they were very cheap in price i figured they would be small and all i can say is they were AMAZING!!!. My waitress noticed i ate them rather quickly laughing with me saying "i knew you'd love them" and i did indeed enjoy them considering i am a bacon lover. I ended up staying a little longer then expected leaving after twelve considering i had work in the morning. I enjoyed my first visit a little too much, i will definitely be going in at least once a week considering they have free pool on Tuesdays and do not close until two a.m. Thank you so much for the amazing service and experience.
