Live music, and local beers on tap. Good place to spend a Saturday night. No food (unless you count Doritos) so eat elsewhere first.

Local neighborhood bar. Decent place to meet friends and listen to bands play. Service is standard, what you would expect in a bar. No food but there is a BBQ restaurant next door. Haven't tried their food yet but I'm told they are not bad.

Went on a Saturday and the live band was top notch... Played Selena and Santana covers, everyone was dancing. Older crowd, down to earth.

Very basic neighborhood bar, weak happy hour $.50 off. Has stage for music, probably better later in evening.

Friendly bar tenders, drunk old dudes who buy the young ladies drink, cool cover bands. Can't go wrong. Love the vibe of this dive bar.

I first started going to The Garage about 2.5 years ago. I didn't know anyone there, I just needed…read moreto get out. Since then, I've made... more friends than I can count. Genuinely good people. One of the bartenders even ended up being my roommate for a time (and we would dance together in the living room). It was a hard time in my life when I first went there and I've grown and become, hopefully, a much better person just from experiencing the wonderful friends I've met. I could tell so many stories, but my point is simply this: This is THE BEST bar I have ever been to in my entire life and I cannot say enough good things about it and the people who run it, the regulars, bartenders, etc. Just genuinely awesome people. Even just the other day, a couple came in and they hadn't been there before, and we were just talking and they said "This is such a nice place." It's like Cheers. I walk in the door and end up hugging like everyone before I even get my name on the pool table (they also have a really nice pool table. I've been playing for years now as a result.) The owners Big J and Dave are awesome... I'm kind of overflowing with compliments here but it's just... it's the best place. If I had to choose what I was going to do with my night, my day, whatever, just getting out, it would be The Garage. Absolutely awesome. (I'm honestly just disappointed with myself that I didn't give them a Yelp review sooner. I cannot recommend this place enough. 5 stars just doesn't cut it).

Fun times and great bands on the weekends! Great neighborhood bar with pool tables and darts!read more

Ahh the Sewer. That's what I've been told it's called by various Ventura residents that live there,…read moreor lived there at one time. We were in the area, and were going to stop by Dargan's to get a drink after doing some work there, but Dargan's was slammed. Sans Souci was suggested, so we popped in there, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a little dive bar with a large outside smoking area right in front. The inside is a bit small. We didn't stay long since we were meeting a friend, but it was a good spot. There seemed to be a band that had performed, or was going to perform. The inside of the venue is quite dark, with a few places to sit and enjoy the performance. We grabbed a drink (the drink was nice and quite stiff too, and fairly inexpensive, which is a good plus). We ended up heading outside, and enjoying the smoking area, which was a good place to light up and people-watch (there were a lot of people out and about, and the patio is sheltered enough you can look out, but not look creepy doing so). Eventually we finished our drink and headed back to the car, but that's all I can speak for. The bartender was nice, she was very slammed but was on her game and we got our drinks quickly. FYI for the smokers, they do have cigarettes for sale at the bar, which is also a plus if you smoke. I'd seen the place pretty packed later in the evening, so it looks like it's pretty popular. Next time I'm in the area and there's a band playing, I'll have to make it a point to check it out again.

This place is a cool spot to kick it to jumpstart your night or to lounge around and wine down…read morebefore heading home. The service is service. Drinks stay flowing and all is good with the world. Cheers
