Chelsea is amazing! I really love my gel cat eye nails. The cat eye is $20, but she does a great job at bringing out the shine! It was easy to make a reservation two days before! They also take walk-ins, someone came in around 5pm on a Thursday and they were able to accommodate. It's a chill vibe inside, right by a cafe. I think parking might be a bit harder since it's just street parking. If it's possible to walk here or get here by bus, that would be easier. read more

This review is based on 2 gel x manicures and 1 pedicure I had done here. Nails all fell off within days, they told me they would probably fall off and I can "come back every day" if I needed to. Then I came back and they told me it was my fault they fell off, but they were not secured on properly, or the shape I asked for, or the correct length. Based on the issues I've been having with my nails on my hands and feet I do not think they use clean tools. read more

My normal pedicure (not gel) was not cured properly, and two days later the nail polish on the largest toe just fell off (as if it was never dried?). The work was poor, the service was poor, and the cost is high. The high benches for the pedicure are awkward. This city has better options, skip this one. It's sad because Q Spa had been my favorite a decade ago. read more

It's funny how the last Yelp review that is on here, was taken when I was there. They had the woman do it on the spot. Also, when she was checking out, they didn't mention to her that there was an additional charge for calluses removal. Which they offered to me as well, but my feet don't need it. The person working on me has said that it was better for me. I get the upselling, I work in the industry of hair, so I get it. But only when it's something that is necessary or as a stylist/manicure/Whatever you really think your client needs. I left feeling rushed, my service for a manicure pedicure, took maybe 30/40 minutes. I didn't feel relaxed, I didn't feel the service was worth the money. And at the end, as I was getting checked out, the person checking me out call her coworker who worked on me. The coworker kept on saying thank you thank you thank you, and pretty much wanted a bigger tip than I was trying to give them. But I ljust wanted to be out of there so I gave each more than I thought they deserve. I will not come back. I used to come here all the time before the pandemic, and the ladies who used to work there were so great. It was awesome. Over the last several years, I had come in handful of times and the service has come down. read more

Took me a while to find my nail spot and it was right down the street! I came to Q spa in January after having a horrendous experience at another nail spa who used dipped powder. My nails were so torn up they were down to the thinnest and shortest I've ever had them. Then I found Emmy. She has done an amazing job and my nails are now strong and beautiful. She is honest about what you need, and always takes her time making your nails beautiful My gel nails can last up to 3 weeks! Went to Hawaii with them and through the sand and beach they still looked great. Highly recommend, but make an appointment read more

The nail techs are incredibly kind but I requested hard gel nails and 5/10 of them fell off after 3 days... I went back in and they fixed them free of charge. I know it wasn't their personal faults but I'm not sure that I'll be getting hard gel again. read more

Rated so low for the actual work. Not only did I cure my nails myself, it's just not what I asked for!! The sweet lady who did my toes didn't give me a massage or even put lotion on my feet. Ugh, I hate that. The ladies were both so very nice, comforting, and sweet. I paid $145 for what I thought was going to be an acrylic full set and gel pedicure. I'm not sure if they just don't do acrylic? But I got some kind of GelX. I asked and showed pictures of what I expected. I'll let you be the judge. I would assume these nails costed me $80-$90. That I had to fix at home so my fingers didn't look like globes. They're f*n ugly. read more

When I had to come back in the next day after realizing my gel extensions were too long to play guitar (lol) they trimmed them down, filed, and recoated free of charge. I didn't catch the name of my tech (sorry!) but they were just so kind to do that. Will definitely be back :-) read more

It's been 3.5 days since I went in for a gel mani & pedi, and one of my nails from my gel manicure just completely failed -- half of it peeled off. Also, within the first day, I noticed a chip at the tip of another nail on the same hand. My accompanying gel pedicure was great, but the person who did my gel manicure did a poor job. My visit a few days ago was my second visit in the last two months. That first gel mani/pedi held up really well when I went to Burning Man and was in the harsh desert for 2 full weeks. read more

got a gelx set done with a design and on the shorter length for $95 - the nails itself came out really well! proper application and no cuts. i did notice that the nail technician didn't do any cuticle care and did very minimal prep of the nails so curious how long the set will actually last. it seemed like there was only one person available for gelx application so i ended up waiting about 30 minutes past my appointment time. and the person after me waited almost 45 minutes :/ aside from that, would definitely come back! read more

The reason I gave this place 2 stars is because of the noise. The employees chit-chat, laughing in their language too loud across the room. I can't even feel relaxed as I supposed. Also the unpleasant smell of food... It makes everything go down the hill even though the staff are friendly. I hope they should understand people walk into the salon/spa (as they called themselves SPA) I would like besides good service I could relax with music and a pleasant atmosphere, not suffer myself for an hour of loud voices and unpleasant smell. Great selection of colors. I have a gel manicure &pedicure nicely shape and it lasts almost 3 weeks. Docking one more star only because I wish the hand and foot massage was better since it was pretty minimal. And the chairs for the manicure area were not comfortable at all. read more

Finally found my go-to nail spot! I booked through Yelp message, they responded quickly and were able to see me that day. $50 for a gel manicure which is the most reasonable I've been charged in the area. The salon is very cute and clean. Friendly staff. They work super fast but have great attention to detail. (I'm someone who hates getting their nails done, so this is huge for me!) I showed my manicurist a picture of what I wanted, and she color matched it exactly. My nails look amazing and I'll definitely be coming back!! read more

Stopped in for a basic pedi. On yelp it says appt only but called shortly before I came in and said they had time. This was also a weekday early afternoon. When I arrived there wasn't any other customers so I was happy to be able to get a pedicure on short notice. It was clean, friendly, and happy with the service. My friend recommended Q Spa to me. Since my last two visits to other nail salons were not the most pleasant experiences (too rough, painting not neat, etc.), I was a bit reluctant, but I decided to come in for a gel manicure. One of my worries was being COVID conscious since I haven't been out in a while. That worry was immediately dispelled. The facilities are immaculately clean. Everyone must have a mask and they can provide a mask if you forgot yours. You also must sanitize your hands upon entry, Q Spa is completely COVID safe. Onto the manicure. The worker who took care of me, Emmy, was very kind, humble, gentle, AND meticulous when she started the nail designs. You can tell that the workers are dedicated to doing a great job and taking care of the customer. And the design she did turned out AMAZING!!!! They are exactly as I pictured and described them. Victoria's is still a solid five stars for hair removal!…read more Since my first review over a decade ago, a few things have changed - the studio moved (just a few blocks east, with better parking in my opinion), I've moved (a few times!), I tried laser hair removal (meh), and Dao has upgraded her electrolysis machine (making her process even faster). Through all the changes, my rating and loyalty remains. I can even walk across the street from where I currently live to get waxed instead of driving across the Bay Bridge and halfway across the city to get to Victoria's, but I still prefer Dao! Dao's efficiency, excellent work, affordable prices, and sweet, chatty demeanor keep me coming back. Although my first Brazilian electrolysis session was over 7 years ago, I have only booked/been able to tolerate 30 minute sessions, 1-3x per year. Certain areas of the body have more stubborn hair that requires more sessions, and Dao is very upfront about all of this. A few weeks after each session I notice less and less hair regrowing; there are certain areas where hair has never come back, and the areas that she continues to work on gets smaller and smaller. I look forward to my next session with Dao and I'm thinking I will ask her health/beauty tips, because she doesn't look a day older than the first day I met her!

Love the gals here! Always 10/10 on my gel manicure and regular pedicure! Emmy is always willing to tackle whatever trendy nail design I bring in and executes with so much attention to detail. Best of all my manicure always lasts at least 3 weeks! Both the gel manicure and pedicure include a nice little massage with warm oil and warm towels which I LOVE.
