And I can't comment on the ambience since we ordered delivery, but since I love my home, I'll say it was amazing! I was admittedly hesitant to go into this place because the outside was so off putting, but based on the great reviews, I pulled up the big girl bib and walked into a cute set up and was warmly greeted by a young woman. I'm going to be extra harsh on the tempura sweet potatoes only because the California roll was very good. The batter wasn't what I expected from a true tempura batter-the sweet potatoes were bland- an Asian sweet potato would have been preferable. I would have also preferred a soy sauce based dipping sauce rather than a sweet/spicy sauce.. overall- 2/5 The California roll on the other hand was exceptional. The roll wasn't heavily riced which takes great skill and was generous with the 'innards' 5/5. They don't have soups- hopefully they will add some at some point! read more

I stopped in because I appreciate local businesses and I was pleasantly surprised. The presentation of the menu items was exquisite and sure to impress your plus one on date night. I ordered the True Love roll and two pieces of Snapper. Both were delicious and I plan to return to try more of the menu items. They only have hot sake but the kind server let me know it's also BYOB. There is a liquor store next door so you might want to stop in to grab your drink off choice to enjoy with your meal. Went to this place with friends after another place was closed. Staff was friendly. We had the some appetizers like the gyoza dumplings (pork) fried that was really good. Also the Edamame and Jalapeño Lagoon which is jalapeño deep fried with cream cheese and crab meat. I had the Avocado roll which has Chicken Tempura, avocado, cucumber and sushi rice. Normally they would top it with spicy crab but I asked to have mine without the crab. It was really good. Got our food quickly. My friends enjoyed the different rolls they ordered. The ahi tuna tower was delicious, soft shell crab yummy, the dumplings very tasty, seaweed salad was the best we have ever had, the sushi is fresh and flavorful. The chefs sure know what they are doing. We have added Q Sushi to our favorite list. It is even worth the drive from Wimberley. On a whim, I decided that I wanted sushi. After my food poisoning experience with a different sushi place, I was kind of weary. The parking lot to Q Sushi was a little dilapidated and I feared that I had arrived to the incorrect location. As soon as I walked, my fears subsided as the restaurant was nicely decorated, albeit slightly cramped. As I walked in, I was greeted from I believe is the owner. I was told to sit anywhere as they had just opened. As I say down, I was greeted by the server and quickly handed a menu and I got to look at the great menu choices. As I was one of the first patrons of the day, I was naturally served very quickly. However, there was a sign when you first walk in that states that they are understaffed and down to maybe 5 employees. As I ordered, other people started to trickle in. I noticed that even despite the short staffing, those people were also served in a timely manner. The roll sizes were amazing. I normally can pack away a lot of sushi, but after just three rolls here, I was pretty satisfied. I would definitely recommend eating here! The sushi was made with fresh ingredients and in a very timely manner despite being understaffed. That being said, if it gets busy, it's probably going to increase a wait time. After a long road trip we finally reached our new home in Schertz! After unloading boxes into our house, it was about 9pm and saw that this restaurant was open until 9:30. When we entered it looked like they were cleaning up with only a few customers inside that looked like they were done with their meal. We kindly asked if they're still serving people and the sushi chef said, "Yes! Yes! Come in!". We're like, "we don't want to be THOSE customers". And the servers were saying, "don't worry! We gotta clean up anyways, it's okay!" They were super sweet. Food was yummy! We ordered the soft shell crab, the big hero roll and the hulk roll. All were delicious! We got our food quickly, waters were constantly refilled and they checked on us often. I loved how they put a cute lil toy on the plate to make it fun, I'm sure the little kiddos love that. Lots of parking as they're in a little strip mall area, service is great. We can't wait to try the rest of their menu! And we love that they're a 10 min drive away :) read more

We ordered 2 rainbow rolls, spider roll, salmon California rolls, eel roll, monkey brain and tempura. Everything was excellent. The food was delicious. It took about 30 minutes to get our order because there were about. There were about 25- 30 people inside the restaurant not including their staff. There are 3 people behind the sushi bar and 2 waitresses. I felt bad but everyone was calm and understanding to the abundance of orders happening. We waited in the car and came back in to get our take out order. We definitely will come back. Maybe on a week day. Q is a hidden gem. I tried putting off eating sushi till after my pregnancy but I saw everyone on the Cibolo fb page raving about this place, took a look at their menu online and saw they had a good amount of (cooked) rolls. I couldn't wait any longer and made it to my last month but just had to have it, the cowboy roll was definitely my favorite, I said it was the best sushi I've ever had (and I've tasted a lot of sushi) also LOVE the crab puffs they were delicious, and the presentation was so cute. We'll definitely be back more often. Service was great and fast as well for only having 3 employees this holiday season and getting a good amount of people coming in on a Christmas Eve night.
