5/5 STARS!!! NUMBER 1. NUMÉRO UNO!! WOW, QAHWAH HOUSE COFFEE is the best coffee shop in Cleveland and this is coming from a non-coffee drinker. I tried their Jubani, a light roast coffee and it is out of this world. Out of all the Yemen-based coffee shops in Cleveland, QAHWAH HOUSE is my favourite. HISTORY -- They are the original YEMENI coffee shop that existed in the United States, the first. They offer premium Organic Coffee from an 8th generation family coffee farm in Yemen. Qahwah House brought their coffee from Yemen to the United States in 2017 and have grown ever since with locations in over 10 U.S. states. They have 2 locations right now in Columbus, Ohio and 1 location in Cleveland. They are still expanding across the U.S. AMBIANCE -- Chic and cute. Beautiful inside with lovely light fixtures, amazing pictures on the wall of their famers handling the coffee beans, and an overall great design. Right in the center of the coffee shop on the wall is a lovely map of the world that shows the distribution of coffee over the years. TEA/COFFEE -- Their coffee beans are hand picked by humans in Yemen and sun dried on the roof of houses. The beans are a green colour and they use an elaborate and specific process to grind/roast the coffee. I tried the Adeni tea which is excellent plus I asked for light sugar. Because I sat in store, the tea came in a tea pot plus a small cup for me to drink it with. The tea pot is a great idea because it has a small candle underneath it to keep the tea warm. I was given a sample of their Jubani coffee which I absolutely loved. The Jubani is a light roast coffee with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon. The Jubani is very good and I highly recommend it. I'm not a coffee drinker but the Jubani blew me away with the taste. PASTRIES -- They also sell different types of sweet and savory pastries. I got a tomato and olive pastry while I sat in and it was delicious. I also got the Sabaya ($5) which is a light pastry that is supposed to have butter inside but I didn't taste any butter. The Sabaya comes with a side of what appears to be honey or syrup. The Sabaya tasted dry but I only ate it later that night or the next evening (I didn't finish it). SERVICE -- is absolutely outstanding, in my opinion. Everyone that I met was super nice and friendly. Tony, I think that was his name, explained to be the process of how the coffee is roasted in this big machine that sits right at the entrance to the store. He showed me the coffee machine. He told me so many interesting facts about their coffee and about Qahwah House in general which I've already highlighted/written in this review. When I arrived and told them it was my first time here but I don't drink coffee, an hour and a half later or so, I was brought a sample of their Jubani coffee. I was surprised yet happy that they brought me a coffee sample plus I loved the Jubani coffee. With friendly and excellent service, amazing coffee and tea, good wifi, and plenty of tables/chairs, I will definitely be back. I've been to one of their NYC locations and was excited that they now have a location in Ohio. It surely didn't disappoint. I've come a few times now and everything I've gotten so far has been good. My favorite drinks are probably the pistachio latte, mofawar, adeni chai. There's a promotion May 1-14 (2026) with their special (black sesame latte) where you can get 50% off of you order off their app. There wasn't an issue ordering off the app, the only thing is that if you order off the app, you don't get the restaurant pager/buzzer so you may have to check in at the register to see if they got the order, which is what I did since it was pretty busy. Ended with the black sesame latte which was aesthetically pleasing like their other drinks--though warning if you don't like the gritty texture like all black sesame drinks are, then maybe this isn't for you. Pistachio latte is still my favorite, but maybe I'll try this again with regular sweetness instead of light. Parking available and free as it's in a strip mall. Staff are nice. Really comfortable sitting space, plenty of tables with people socializing or doing work. Just be warned that it may not be the best working environment at night when more people come to socialize and also celebrate special occasions. So far the coffee I ordered for me and the family is amazing!. The girls ordered iced pistachio latte and iced pumpkin spice latte. I ordered a traditional hot coffee with cream and sugar. All 3 were delightful and beautifully crafted. The staff were so amazingly nice and very presentable customer facing ladies. The interior is elegantly decorated and very clean. They have a beautiful roasting machine that they use on display chained off. It adds to the ambiance. There traditional crusted pastry with cream cheese inside drizzled with honey is too die for. Do glad I finally stopped by this place. I went with their Yemeni latte and pistachio cream croissant. They were both delicious. The latte had a wonderful flavor profile and I liked that you could choose your sweetness level. I went with lightly sweet which was perfect. The croissant was delicately flaky and filled with just the right amount of pistachio cream. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating options. This place was better than I expected. I wasn't expecting much from the tomato pastry but it was perfectly made. Flavors were mild. Pastry was flakey but moist. Perfect amount of foods and butter in that dough!! And the coconut matcha latte was a great recommendation from the young man at the counter. Service was great. A welcome addition to Cleveland's qawah/ Arabic coffee culture! I am currently sitting here enjoying a delicious cup of Yemeni latte with oat milk and a cream cheese bread with honey on the side. The space is lovely with typical cafe tables and also small sofa style seating for times when you just need to relax and settle in. The coffee I had was wonderfully rich and aromatic. The bread was fresh and warm and I enjoyed it very much. The staff were helpful in advising me on my order. I hope they open a location on the east side! read more

Oh my this was good. My daughter dragged me here and I did not expect to enjoy it. I got the triple chocolate cake and dragon fruit refresher. That cake was to die for. It was excellent. My daughter's amenities tea was also excellent. I ended up sharing her pot and nit drinking my beverage. My drink was ok. Not bad but not great. The staff was also helpful and kept cleaning right away. It was more expensive than I thought for the drink but the cakes were a good price. read more

Qahwah House is brand new in CLE and causing quite an excitement with their cafe and food truck. I have yet to visit Qahwah House (heard it's amazing!) but can review their food truck. I excitedly stumbled upon their food truck during Halal Food Fest. By then I tasted an overwhelming amount of caffeine and food, but had to stop by! FOOD/DRINKS: The menu is pretty extensive for a food truck complete with tasty hot, iced beverages and sweets (menu attached). Next time I really want to try Adeni Chai and Honeycomb dessert. This time I tried Pistachio Latte ($8). While pricey it was worth every sip. The pistachio paste in the latte did not taste thick and jam-like, more creamy. I loved its lightness or flavor. If you expect Dubai-like texture, you won't find it in that cup. SERVICE: I was most impressed with service. Generally food truck service culture is mediocre. Service here was so friendly! I felt very welcome, like I could ask all the questions, and welcome to the cafe too! The guy taking orders was very friendly and made me feel at ease! Same great service was evident for other customers as they provided and revised the others. Orders were also up very quickly despite great demand. Million stars for service! A great experience today as I sat down to finish some work on my laptop. I was in search of a café with a nice vibe and wholesome food and I found just that! Even better than the pics I saw. As a Chef, I am truly impressed. The level of cleanliness and attentiveness from staff is extraordinary. The bathroom was also very inviting and clean. This is a new coffee shop that just opened in the cleveland west side area (North Olmsted) that offers unique flavored coffees/lattes from ethically grown coffee from the Al Hasbani Farms in Yemen!! PLUS it's ran by a local family (what more can you ask for!!) The staff was so helpful and so kind!! They are very knowledgeable about the drinks and food and it' was cool to learn the background on things!! I got the brown sugar iced shaken espresso and it was the perfect blend between coffee & milk!! I could actually taste the coffee which is a must for me!!! I'd been meaning to check out Qahwah House for a while, and I finally did a couple weeks ago. It was fantastic! My husband had a Sana'ani coffee with cardamom and I had the Yemeni tea. I LOVED my tea, especially the presentation with the glass teapot over a tea light to keep it warm. The tea was deliciously spiced and very clove-forward (which I love!). One of the owners stopped by to check in with us and he was very friendly and excited to share about the history of the company. My husband ordered the sabaya pastry and it was so flaky and delicious! I ordered this delicious, chocolatey dessert that had a brownie bottom and crunchy vermicelli noodles inside (like in Dubai chocolate). The entire cafe is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, in warm tones of white and gold. There was Arabic language music playing, which my baby absolutely jammed away to. My only complaint is that there was not a changing table in either bathroom, unfortunately. Besides that, we loved our visit and will definitely be back! read more

Qahwah House has a great vibe. Inviting with an entire wall showcasing Yemeni coffee culture. When I stopped by, it wasn't packed but had a nice buzz for a weekday evening. The menu mixes familiar drinks with unique options. I ordered a caramel macchiato. Nice presentation, strong coffee flavor, though I wish the caramel came through a little more. Great new coffee shop to try out. They have only been open a week. I wanted to get something I couldn't get from anywhere else. The gentleman, who I believed is the owner, was beyond friendly and helpful. Since I have to have dairy free, I was recommended the Iced Mafawar with almond milk. I also got the vegan pastry that they have. I enjoyed the drink. It was very delicious and I was excited for the new experience. When you order Yemen coffee hot, they make it on the stove. The inside was amazing. I loved the map on the wall and would have looked at it more along with the information next to it, however, there were people sitting there and I didn't want to be rude. You can tell there was a lot of money and love put into decorating the inside. It's a very comfortable place to sit and very clean inside. They also have a very nice patio in the front along with a food truck. The gentleman did confirm that the internet is not wrong. They have extended hours, 7am--12am. I used to rave about qahwah house with the welcoming and bright vibes to the great coffee. Although, after today I think I'm done. Even though I have done this many times at multiple qahwah houses across the country, I was denied a Yemeni coffee in a cup/mug and was told that I have to get it in a pot. Only way I can get it in a cup is if I ordered it to go and left. This is completely new to me. I decided to order the brown sugar latte and the girl at the checkout counter was very kind. She had someone who worked here already guide her through all of this and the charges since she was new. The menu lists it as $7. But I was charged and extra $1 on top of the $7 for the brown sugar, an extra 50 cents for ice, and an extra 50 cents for decaf. It is very deceptive practice to charge extra for something that is already part of the order as a whole and I do not appreciate that. I will be taking my business to other Yemeni coffee shops in town that price things accurately. read more

Visited with husband today. We dined in and had Turkish Dark Roast, Mofawar, Honeycomb and Cappuccino Chocolate Cake. We were served two small pots of the coffee on small glass tea light warmers with small cups. Someone came by to check on us and offered to bring extra cups so we could sample each other's coffee. The overall service was very nice. The cafe itself feels classy and elegant. Everything seemed very clean including the bathrooms. The shopping plaza was very busy as it was Saturday so I think next time I will try to park in the back and use that entrance. This place is absolutely stunning. The gold accents and white seating create such a beautiful and cozy atmosphere. It's one of those cafés where you immediately want to sit down and stay awhile. The two drinks I've tried so far were fantastic, rich, robust, and full of flavor. I had the Yemeni latte, and a friend and I shared the Mofawar pot, which was a really fun and unique experience. I also love that the menu blends cultural specialties with more familiar coffee and tea options, so there's something for everyone while still giving you the chance to try something new.
