Got the half chicken with coleslaw and fried rice. Fried rice was gratuitous with the added chicken but super salty. Peruvian chicken was good and well seasoned. Cole slaw was a little too wet for my liking but creamy. For take out, I'd suggest putting rice and chicken in the same container instead of fries. By the time I got home the fries were soggy from the chicken. My friends tried this on a separate occasion and said the chicken was super salty when they went. I'm hopefully they'll iron out the kinks with time. Service was great! read more

Congratulations QATA , you have won my heart , my money and my endorsement for best Peruvian Chicken! My friends let me be clear, Peruvian Chicken is simple yet complicated! It's chicken , well marinated and should be cooked over a charcoal! Simple? Yet complicated! Because a lot of places skimming on the process! Maybe choosing bad chicken, no charcoal or Low on the seasoning but yet still a few restaurants in the area master this! So what would make one joint win me ?? You know the answer! You know it?? Yes you know!! It's the ..... SIDES!!! If two teams in soccer tie they play extra time, if they are still tied they go for penalty kicks! The sides are the penalty kicks and QATA won it massively!! The chicken as I mentioned well marinated ( the seasoning is all the way inside) , juicy ( even the white meat) , you can feel and taste the charcoal ! Amazing! The sauces are very nice too and some of them are kinda unique! Now to the sides and I'll talk only on what I got! ( I didn't even care to know about the other sides, those took my sight!) The chicken fried rice is unbelievably tasty! The rice isn't sticky, cooked to perfection and the veggies inside it is amazing also they used their grilled chicken inside it!! That's an amazing quality tasty rice! Also the portion is huge! What you see here is the one side of 2 portion for a the whole chicken meal! The green rice with veggies was amazing too! But my favorite will always be the chicken fried rice and my second will be the green rice! SERVICE: I have always called ahead/ordered online, so cannot speak for the wait times inside, but my husband mentioned that when he ordered in store, it took a little longer. I think this is due to them making a lot of things to order. FOOD: ~Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken (5/5): The dark meat is so juicy and tender. Seasoned to perfection. The white meat is good too, but a little more dry. I was able to get half a chicken and get all dark meat, so love that option! ~Fried Yucca (5/5): Probably the best fried yucca I have had. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Salty, sweet, perfection. ~Fried Plantains (5/5): Again, one of the best fried plantains I have tried. It was soft but not mushy. Sweet and savory, but not too sweet. So good ~Fried Rice (4.5/5): Would definitely get this side again. Haven't had any of their other rice options, so I can't compare. Finding seats is a challenge but worth the effort. The carapulcra is a rich pork stew perfect for a cold day. It is served with pickled red onions (salsa criolla) that is an excellent accompaniment to the stew. The polla ala brassa was lacking in flavor and may have been slightly underdone. I can't say enough good things about Qata. The vibe is super chill and welcoming, and the food is just so good. I keep thinking about their ceviche--easily my favorite dish on the menu. It's fresh, tangy, and has the perfect kick. I could seriously eat it every day. The rest of the food is just as solid, and you can tell they really care about what they're serving. I didn't think I'd find a peruvian place close by that would meet my Super Chicken expectations but I was wrong. we came in right before the dinner rush Sunday night and were met with such amazing service. Workers were more than happy to answer any questions we had or make any accommodations. Seating is very limited and there are only about four tables inside. The chicken was cooked so well and not overcooked. The coleslaw was a bit sweet, but nothing close to unpalatable. And the yucca!!! so crispy and perfect. It was juicy and quite flavorful, the beans could have used more taste but they were not bad. Everything here tasted amazing! The portion sizes were larger than I thought as well. The Peruvian chicken was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and juicy. I chose the Qata sauce, mayonnaise (yellow) sauce, and Serrano (green) sauce to go with it. I liked it the best with the yellow mayonnaise sauce, as I prefer non-spicy sauces. My husband said the fried rice was better than any other fried rice he's ever had (including fried rice from Chinese and Korean restaurants), which says a lot, and I agree. The texture of the rice was perfect. It included chicken, green onion, bits of orange and red bell peppers, and egg. The green rice was wonderful as well. It tasted like the green sauce although it wasn't spicy like the sauce is. I don't think I've ever had anything like it. I love unique food! The Yucca fries were large, tasty, and perfectly fried. They were still crispy although we ordered carryout. The inside was soft. I've tried yucca fries from other places where they were dry on the inside, so I thought that was the norm. Apparently not! The Tres Leches Lucurna cake was so moist, fluffy, and not overpoweringly sweet, which we love. Same with the Alfajores (dulce de leche sandwich cookies). They seemed like homemade desserts. I picked up my daughter from soccer day camp at 3p in Chantilly and this same evening had travel soccer practice at 5:15p in Centreville and she and I both needed some sustenance prior to practice so we found this Peruvian spot as we love Peruvian chicken and white rice. This place didn't disappoint. Loved the aroma of the food upon swinging the front door open and the bright colors of the decorations inside. First thing we were hit with was the smiling face of the cashier and two other employees that were busy hanging something on the wall behind the counter. We ordered our quarter chickens with dark meet and double white rice and when it was ready they brought our plates over to our table and asked if we needed anything else. They're service was great! I know they didn't have to do much from a service standpoint, but everything was done with a smile and never made us feel like a burden. We felt very welcomed. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection! The white rice was full of flavor and a very important detail is they don't use butter in their rice, which a lot of places do to provide additional flavor and moisture. This is importsnt because my daughter is allergic to dairy. She was able to enjoy with no issues. This food is really good. I am glad to see this family owned Peruvian restaurant open up. It did not disappoint. I think the family who was working were really sweet. The pollo a la brasa was fresh and flavorful. I LOVED the salchipapas which are one of my favorite dishes (basic, i know), but a lot of Peruvian restaurants don't do salchipapas right, but this place does. The pollo broaster (not easy to find) was great. The fried chicken was fresh and tender. It had really good flavor. The sauce that went on the salchipapas was amazing, so were the other sauces they give you. I think one sauce was a variation of huancaína sauce which they made into more of a mustard dipping sauce for the pollo which was really creative. It was so good! The fried rice was good. I know the owners of this restaurant; they are very friendly. The food quality is good. When they first opened, the portions were very generous, but now, when you order a rotisserie chicken, the sides of potatoes and cassava are getting smaller and smaller. The chicken still tastes good, and the causa (Peruvian potato dish) is good but very small, and the price of $13 seems too high. We've been looking for a good Peruvian spot nearby, and this place was pretty solid overall. The food was authentic and flavorful, with good portion sizes and fair pricing. The service was friendly and the staff were welcoming, which made for a positive experience. That said, the dine-in space is really small and not ideal if you're looking to sit down and enjoy a meal comfortably. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend eating there -- it's much better suited for takeout and enjoying at home. The food we got today was downright not worth it. The lomosaltado was flavorless and piled high with crappy french fries and only a few pieces of lousy beef for $20.50. The ceviche was soo small and the corn was not Peruvian at all and paid $19.50. The chicken sandwich was in no way Peruvian and the french fries were greasy and extremely wimpy and inedible for $12.99. The taller on a la Huancaina con limo was dry and warmed over (not fresh). Such a pitiful waste as most went in the trash after paying a total of $83.73. Yuck....they did not provide Peruvian food. read more

I attempted to get the 1/2 rotisserie chicken online for dinner time around 8 pm on a Saturday. Once I arrived to pick it up, they informed me that they ran out of rotisserie chicken & could replace it with their fried chicken or other options. I was disappointed & just agreed to replace it with the fried chicken. The staff seemed apologetic. Once home, I noticed they gave us only 2 wings & 2 drumsticks. They gave extra fries & threw in dessert for the inconvenience, but it didn't justify the small amount of chicken received & lack of what I actually ordered.
