The spot to go to for Peruvian chicken in the area! This place does not skimp out on portions and they definitely pile the sides up until your box can't close. Chicken was moist and I feel like half a chicken with two sides is enough for two people. I'd highly recommend their yellow sauce (ask for extras if you need). Their green sauce had a kick, if you like spicy sauces! Only complaint was that the yuca was slightly dry/stale, but you can reheat it at home. Try one of their pupusas! They make them fresh so ours came out warm and we got the one with everything on it - the revuelta (cheese, beans, and pork I believe). It was delicious! The place was really busy when we came in - that's how you know it's good. King Pollo in Chantilly is such a delight. While the regular menu items are fine, the lomo saltado (stir fried strips of beef) is easily the stand out dish. It's served in a tantalizing tomato based sauce (never seen it served "wet" anywhere else), with onions and tomatoes. Boy does that sauce pack flavor in each bite! Hands down this is the best lomo saltado I've ever had. There is a good variety of menu items but after discovering the this dish, that's all I come for and I'm here at least once a week. So happy there is a King Pollo closer to me in Chantilly and it does not disappoint! You get tons of food, one half chicken meal with two sides is big enough to feed at least two although three people can eat one meal in this household. They are super generous with the sides. The menu prices are so so so affordable. The flavor and seasoning of the chicken is amazing, and I prefer this way over Nando's. The meat is so tender and tasty in the tomato based sauce. For the meal, you get heaps of tongue and two sides (choose from rice and beans, fried rice, white rice, steamed veggies, green beans, potato salad, fries, yucca, mac salad, and more). They've got a plethora of side dishes (which I love), speciality drinks, desserts, and more. In addition to chicken, they also have a nice variety of other dishes. Their menu can be found online. Employees are sweet and super quick. There is seating available inside, depending on what time you come, you may or may not find a seat. I love that their white and green sauces are in squeeze bottles on the counter. So you can help yourself to as much as you want. If you are taking your food to go, make sure to ask for little containers of the sauces. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! I always have leftovers. The flan was also a hit! The tamales and papusas were alright but did not have a lot of filling in them. The yucca was inedible and I mean that. Other reviews have mention the yucca was dry but our order wasn't even able to be chewed. The sides (spaghetti and fried rice) were also bland and mushy as they had been past over cooked. The food all looked fresh and appetizing. I wanted Sopa de Pollo, which they had! I got it to go and it came in a 32 ounce container. It was quite good, the chicken was mostly thigh meat, still on the bone and came with potatoes, carrots and onions. The broth was well flavored and delicious. They also have Sopa De Res, beef soup, Sopa De Mondongo, pork or tripe and Sopa de Mariscos, shrimp and fish. If you're going to order the Sopa de Mariscos, expect a 10 minute wait. I would recommend call in an order in advance. They also have a large HDTV to enchance your dining experience. I will def return to try the other soups and sample the menu. read more
