The golden arches or the BRGR Kng can't put down a little double that tops this. The meat is seasoned perfectly, premium American cheese, toasted bun. Everything that makes a slider better than just a burger comes right in your bag. But the thing that stands out to me is the patty itself. It just reminds me of an old style drive in burger from when I was a kid. It really takes me back to the 70's when my mom would take us to a place called The Forks Grill, and bought a bag of cheeseburgers and fries for dinner. Like the food critic in "Ratatouille"...my mind races to my sister and I sitting in the back seat of he old, silver Dodge, 100% stoked because we were getting what we though were the best take out burgers in the whole world. Going out for take out was a big deal back then. So using that as a comparison...they are just really good!! It is always good to drive by and see a lot of people there. Not only because it is good, but because we like to see them doing well...which hopefully means they will be around for a while. Give them a try. You will be hooked. Honestly? Great idea. Walk-up window. A few outdoor tables. Super clean bathrooms outside. Bright branding you can spot from the road immediately. The kind of place that knows exactly what it is. Taylor at the window was awesome too. I had absolutely no clue what I wanted and never once felt rushed. They guided me directly into the kind of meal that shortens your lifespan a little but dramatically improves your afternoon. I got the Biggie Smalls combo with a cookies & cream shake, loaded waffle fries with bacon, jalapeños and ranch, extra Smauce on the burgers, and a side of queso because if queso is available and you don't dip everything into it, what are we even doing here? The sliders are exactly what you want them to be. Buttery buns. Thin greasy patties with crispy edges. Cheese melting into every corner. Smauce tastes like that classic burger sauce lane -- mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickle tang -- but sweeter and richer, like if a drive-thru and a county fair had a beautiful unhealthy baby together. And the loaded fries? Completely unserious food. In the best possible way. This place feels engineered in a laboratory specifically to make you crave one more slider even when you know you're full. I was FURTHER impressed that Angie, the cashier at the window, presented me with a broad smile and welcoming attitude. Pleasant service is always a joy! I failed to see the name tag on the colorfully haired young lady who delivered my to-go bag. She too was exceedingly polite. It must be a great place to work based upon the happy employees! And the rest I put in my Tesla fridge, so I could enjoy Tequitos every morning while I was in Omaha. It did not disappoint. On my return trip home, I was outside the breakfast hours, so I ordered a few Whataburgers with cheese, (or so I thought). The app was confusing and I overlooked the cheese selection. But when I arrived to pickup my order the white wrappers told me they were without cheese. I went back inside and explained my mistake and asked for cheese for my burgers. They took them back in the kitchen and added the cheese without any hassle. When they returned, I asked what I owed them for the cheese, because I knew the error was mine when ordering from the road. He just smiled and said, "We got you... But if you like to review us and share your honest thoughts, so others know we're here that would be great." I returned to my car and wrote this before driving away, because awesome food from a crew who cares, and having that kind of customer service. Is something everyone should be aware of. There are several Whataburgers on and around Kansas City. It this one in Blue Springs is the one marked as a favorite in my Teslas navigation. Upon entering, we noticed the dining room looked as if a toronado wizzed thru it. ALL the trash bins were in the middle of the floor and their cabinet doors were wide open. Trash and food littered the floor and tables. My sandwich was cold, old, soggy bun and dry chicken. I asked for a refund. The red beans and rice was only 2/3rds of the way full... I mentioned it to my cashier and he said, oh I'm sorry about that. Then turned to continue sweeping the floor right beside us, while we were trying to eat a meal in peace, and without dust and dirt from the floor being stirred up into the air just to float back down onto our food. We left and will never return to this location. It's the worst we've seen. So sorry to have to leave this review.
