This is my favorite restaurant when I'm in Liberty. Sometimes if I'm in a hurry I just stop and get some Chips and salsa to go. Jonathan is by far one of the best bartenders around. My wife go by this place all the time and the parking lot is full! It was mid afternoon on a Tuesday and there was maybe 10 people inside eating. My wife ordered a Chicken Chimichanga and I ordered a Grande Ensalada. 2-3 minutes later, our food was already being brought out. What? Well, you might as well call mine a taco salad in a shell. 80% of it was unseasoned precooked hamburger that was lukewarm at best, beans that tasted like they were straight out of a can, cheese and fresh shredded lettuce. Absolutely no seasoning and used the chip salsa for putting it on top for flavor. All the veggies seemed fresh, but with no seasoning in the hamburger which made the whole dish, just blah. The chicken chimichanga had lots of chicken in it, but it also had no seasoning whatsoever and was just smothered with cheese. How waiter spent more time sitting with her BF in a booth that a coworker had to take our payment. We will not be back! read more

Honestly pretty disappointed. My favorite part was the chips and salsa. I got two chicken soft tacos and rice. The tacos were dry and the rice just didn't taste right to me. Weird texture maybe? Pretty disappointed but they do have a decent sized menu so maybe something else could be worth trying. read more

We had a great late lunch here. We'd never been to this location, and it does seem quite a bit smaller than others, but wasn't too busy so we sat right down. Love the complimentary chips and salsa and the lunch specials. The chicken tacos are so good. The rice and beans are tasty. They have Pepsi, which I love. Service was quick. Parking was close and easy. The floor was pretty dirty with chips etc after the lunch rush, but staff was cleaning so I don't think it stayed dirty long. read more

Came here for dinner on a perfect fall evening. Requested to sit on the patio. They didn't have el pastor tacos, which is my go-to order so I got the Durango instead, which is two tamales with a taco and beans and rice. They definitely filled your plate full. I think I had a couple bites and was so full. But I did eat the whole taco, which they also stuff fat af. Lol it tasted delicious. The tamales were ok. They were too smothered in cheese, and I think some of the shell was a bit hard, not sure if that was from overcooking or what? But it was good overall. Very poor service, my friend clearly asked for no beans. And drum roll please, he received beans. He hates beans and made it very clear he does not like them. Hell he's even extremely allergic to beans, and made a joke about it with our waitress, although I guess point not received. Although, I was recommended to this place on the basis of it having "good margaritas" a lot was to be desired with an objective rating of 5/10. This location is to small. But it's nice they have a tiny patio area but to bad it was closed when I came. I went on May 1st and the patio didn't open till May 2nd. It was a beautiful day out. Not sure why restaurants do that. Anyway we were seated quickly but right in the middle of the restaurant. Chips abs salsa were quick and came waaaay before our drinks. The food was just ok. Haven't been here in awhile. Stopped coming as much when they stopped their daily deals. Mostly came this day for patio that was closed. Margarita's is the best "bang for your buck" Mexican restaraunt in Liberty. Period. Their price point is....on point! Yes, you've had better Mex, but you probably paid double. The food is fresh, hot, and prepared fast. Daily specials will help you choose and save a few bucks. Yes, service is great too. The standouts are definitely the dips and margs. We absolutely loved the Margarita dip (we ordered 3), and all the fruity margs. Our only suggestion would be to separate the rice from the fajitas for presentation purposes. But hey, it's Mexican. Came to this location for my wife & self last week they completely reversed our whole order. What we asked for in chicken we received beef & Vice versa. We love this place. We eat here at least once a week. The hot salsa is so good. The regular is just as good we just like some heat. The chips are always warm, thin and crispy. The.Chicken Argentine is to die for. The chicken is pounded thin and whatever they marinate it in is amazing mixed with the white cheese dip. The Margarita Special burrito is my next favorite. The spinach enchiladas with beef are also so good. The wait staff is always nice and the food comes out quickly. The margaritas are good. Went tonight around 5:45, right when the dinner rush was starting. My first observation was that the host booth is extremely close to the front door and people crowd around while they wait to be checked-in. There is limited waiting room. Parking is also limited and is a bit chaotic if there are tons of people coming and going. Service was ok! Atmosphere was loud - hard to have a conversation. Definitely recommend going to the Margarita's on Southwest Blvd if you have a big group or want more intimate seating. Food was good! read more

I tried to eat lunch at this location today. I ordered a Spinach and Cheese enchilada with ground beef added. This is supposed to be made with white pepper cheese and spinach. They first brought me a ground beef enchilada. I sent it back and reminded the server what I had ordered. The second attempt was horrible. Hopefully I can post the pic. Not once did they apologize. Note the one piece of ground beef in the upper corner and the cold white cheese. Totally not about good food and horrible customer service! I have absolutely no idea why this was the chosen place for taco Tuesday. I sat at the bar per usual. It's dimly lit so you can't see the flies buzzing about your food. I ordered a beef burrito and 2 tacos. Mediocre at best. I think if I'd gotten a drink it would have been better. Service wasn't great tonight and if I'm being honest it hasn't been great for awhile. When Jonathan is here you don't even have to think. You're automatically handed a food menu as soon as you sit down. Lately I'm lucky if I get a drink. This will be the second time I've come in for food only to be served the beer I ordered and then forgotten about. There are three of us at the bar. It's only 4pm. This will also be the second time I've only gotten a beer and had to go somewhere else for food just to receive better service. I've been hesitant to post this because I do consider myself a regular. I have been a loyal margaritas customer for over 15 years. All the way back to their orginal location on Johnson drive. I will not be going back to the location in Liberty. Their hostess was rude and smug about their hour and a half wait time and would not put my name down or check to see if they had seating in the bar available. I went across the street to Jose Pepper s and was greeted by excellent wait staff and got right in. They had the foresight to have more than 15 tables at their restaurant in Liberty. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but the spinach-cheese enchiladas (El Cozumel) are very tasty ($7.85). You can get shredded pork, and these enchiladas are stuffed with meat and gooey cheese. Lunch specials at $5.99 are quite small but include a soft drink. For instance, you get 1 tamale and some rice...I guess that's fine if you want something small. The margarita I had was watered down and not good, which is odd because I'd expect really tasty margaritas as a place called Margarita's. We went for lunch and had quick service, though the waitress had to come back once to be sure she got our order in right and a second time because our drinks hadn't been delivered by the time our food came. read more

This was our favorite Mexican restaurant in Liberty, we ate there around a couple of times a month. We love their crab enchiladas and sitting on their great little patio. Walked in a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant was maybe half full with a few people sitting at the bar. It was a beautiful warm night. We asked to sit in the patio and after a few moments of conferencing with the bartender were told "We're not seating anyone on the patio tonight". No explanation, no apparent reason. Every time I come home to Liberty I have to eat here, it's one of my favorite restaurants. The service is always quick and efficient, and the food is always delicious.
