Not a bad place, but it was a bit hit and miss. I liked the vibe and the customer service, but the food had be a bit questioning things. I got the shredded pork bowl with white rice and toppings. Compared to other competitors like this restaurant, they really are shy on proportions. It was a quarter size scoop of meat and half a scoop or rice. This place was my go to. But during my recent visit the server was very rude and they could not understand what I was trying to say. I asked if they could call someone else or mangaer and it turned out she was the manager. But I am really disappointed in Qdoba after my last visit and I ended up just cancelling my order as they were so rude. I wold probably not go back after this experience. The free guacamole is one of the main reasons I come here and it's so much food for only $11. I have been been to the Qdoba Grandview once over 10 years ago, I have been going to the The Ohio State University campus location since it is on the busline. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the spicy chicken and queso in bowl and the toppings are free on a burrito, bowl, or tacos. Great service from the staff at Qdoba and have Coca-Cola Freestyle like the campus location. I had the half Cherry Vanilla Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and other half Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper. I will do the Orange Vanilla Coca-Cola Zero Sugar because it tastes like a Dreamsicle. The place has 2 televisions and quiet place. During the Pandemic, they were only takeout only. I will be going back to the Qdoba in Grandview soon. read more

We had QDoba catered for our company lunch, and I must say... I prefer it to Chipotle! There are so many great flavors and toppings that QDoba just does so well. The pico tastes fresh, the guac is smooth and delicious, the queso even has extra flavor to it-- without taking away from the cheese. And, the chicken was great. Not too spicy, juicy--not dry, and cut up to a perfect size. Definitely recommend! The only thing that would make QDoba better is if they washed their black beans a bit more. I know, I know. I'm done arguing with LAMBS over the fact that QDOBA is a far superior product than CHIPOTLE by leaps and bounds. Chipotle has tasteless proteins, bare bones minimal toppings, plain old white rice, and poor customer service. I always love visiting Qdoba! The workers are always friendly, food is hot, and since it is build your own style it's quick! I love all of the options Qdoba has. You can truly make a different type of entree every time. I typically load up on majority of the veggies. I also love that queso and guac are included in the total. For two people we can get all of this food and spend around $20 which is amazing, especially with how expensive food is these days! There is a convenient parking lot at this location and it's typically not busy when we go so I definitely recommend stopping here for a quick lunch or dinner! read more

I haven't been to QDOBA in years but after a very lacking chipotle visit, we gave QDOBA another try. So pleasantly surprised! Made our own burritos and the only thing wrong with our orders was I was missing my jalapeño salsa on the side. First off, the burritos are massive! You also get to choose a lot of toppings, which is a plus. I chose steak adobo and my husband got the birria brisket. Both were very tasty! One thing I'd mention is everything had a slightly smoky/roasted flavor. I can't figure out which ingredient had it but that's not my favorite flavor. Next time I may try a few less toppings to narrow down which thing has that flavor. Maybe it's a salsa? I wish I knew. All in all, it's a solid choice for this type of food and I will try it again for sure! Maybe a bowl next time so I don't stuff myself with burritos again! read more

The Food: I ordered a bowl: chicken, white rice, black beans, corn, salsa verde, pico de gallo, sour cream, fajita veggies, shredded cheese, lettuce, and guacamole. I asked for the melted queso to be put on the side. I highly recommend doing that because if you have chips at home, you can dip them! The food was delicious. Wanted something simple and semi-healthy, and this fit the bill. In a pretty new building on 5th, it is easy to find and has decent parking. Service was friendly and fast. We got a couple of bowls, and chips and guac. The chips were pretty standard, the guac fresh and tasty. My bowl had brown rice, brisket, both salsas, spicy queso. Tasty, filling, reasonably cheap. The brisket was better than I expected. Since Chipotle is pretty much off our menu, Qdoba and other fast-casual Mexicanish places are in the running. Again awesome. So far of all the restaurants that are setup this way, this is by far my favorite. The quality of the food is a main reason that I drive past several of the other guys to get to a Qdoba. Almost everything is freshly made. Again, this is more than the other guys do. They also have several options that are not available at the other guys. The queso is amazing and they even have different flavors of queso. The price is about the same as the others. I like Qdoba because it does some things better than other burrito chains. The first is that orders come without food poisoning. It also has no charge for guacamole. It also has a few specials. The unfortunate thing is they are more expensive. I like whatever we have eaten there. It has a lot better quality than other similar restaurants. The burritos are about $7 each. In a combo meal including a drink and tortilla chips it's about $9. They also have a Coca Cola freestyle machine which kicks ass. In addition to burritos they also have bowls and tacos. They also have lots of specials. I like the food at Qdoba. They aren't the cheapest and sometimes the service is really slow. Will come here over other burrito chains any chance we get though. read more

This was my first time trying Qdoba. It's similar to Chipotle in that you can order burritos and bowls and you have them add your toppings. They also have nachos which I might try next time I go. I ordered a bowl with white rice, chicken, black beans, tomatoes, cilantro and some Chipotle ranch drizzled on top. I enjoyed my meal, though in comparison to Chipotle, I like Chipotle better because their cilantro rice is so flavorful. I thought the Qdoba rice didn't have that much flavor, but, I still liked the bowl overall! read more

I am a huge Chipotle addict, but every time I come to Qdoba - which is just down the street from Grandview Chipotle - I leave wondering why I don't at least switch it up more often and come to Qdoba. The menu kicks Chipotle's butt - way more selections, way more ingredients for the standards. And the three cheese queso. Oooooh the queso. Worth coming JUST for queso. The lobby here is much more cozy and inviting than that of Chipotle, too. P.S. I love how everyone's review of Qdoba centers around Chipotle. What a terrific place. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican cuisine, authentic or otherwise, but my first time in a Qdoba Mexican Grill and I found a few items that I could love. When you stop in you must try the three-cheese queso with the nachos. I can also recommend the Grilled Quesadillas. The grilled chicken quesadilla, with sour creme was great. I really like the 5th Avenue location because the employees are always very nice and willing to answer any questions you may have. They're always very knowledgeable about all the ingredients they use, which (at this location) are usually very fresh. Are you getting tired of the limited menu at Chipotle? Give Qdoba a try. I'll admit that I like Chipotle's burritos more, but I don't go to Qdoba for their burritos--I go for the Mexican Gumbo and Taco Salad. It's by no means a fine dining experience or even authentic Mexican cuisine, but if you're going to go to a "Mexi-American" fast food location why not go to a place that uses quality ingredients, like this one? read more

Went to Qdoba for lunch today. I typically go to Chipotle, but thought I'd switch it up a bit. I wish I hadn't. First, the price. It was a few dollars more for the same type of Chipotle meal. I was charged a dollar for adding fajita veggies! Also, chips and guac cost over $3. I just thought it was a bit much, especially when Chipotle uses fresher ingredients! My other issue was the freshness and taste. My naked chicken burrito was not bad, but the peppers and onions were cut in huge pieces, so they weren't really integrated into the mix. Also, the chips were way overly salted and the guac had a slightly brown color. Qdoba does have more sauces, but I'll stick to Chipotle. read more

I love Chipotle. I love Chipotle and when my wife forced me to go to Qdoba, I felt like a cheater. Hell, Qdoba is a Chipotle rip-off!!!!! Same menu, ingredients, salsas, etc. But..... Qdoba is my new #1 burrito fix due to their shredded beef. The beef is very very tender, super-moist and has a great tex-mex flavor that matches w/any combo of burrito fillings. The only other discernable diff from Chipotle is that Qdoba's cheese has a lil more tang to it...or at least I think so. The food is good. Not amazing. And they nickel and dime you for everything. "You want fajita? That will be an extra dollar." I understand that I have to pay for a meal, but their main competition is chipotle and you're not going to adopt their better methods? Also, if you see any signs that talk about deals, don't believe them. They have a "summer" deal where you get a free Entrée with the purchase of one. That was the whole reason I went today but apparently, that sign has been up since November and means nothing. Staff is apathetic at best and their cool soda machine is usually out of the staple drinks. Poor restaurant at best. read more
