This was a chimichunga with refried beans. Guess I missed the actual chimichunga. Sorry!
Lori K.

We were seated quickly, given a large colorful menu. Our server took our drink order quickly. I asked him what was popular or a meal he likes to eat He recommended the Mocajato. I love a good Mocajato but wasn't willing to drop $24 the first time I visit a restaurant. I ordered the fajita quesadilla with chicken. It was HUGE but lacking the cheese I was expecting. On the other hand it was stuffed with meat and vegetables. No complaints there! On the side was lettece, tomato and little sour cream. Hubby ordered a chicken chimichunga with a side of refried beans. He was served 2 chimichungas filled with only chicken. The meal was topped with queso, lettuce , tomato and the tiniest amount of sour cream. Chips and salsa were served with our drinks. The chips were not special. They lacked seasoning and I added salt. The salsa was kinda watery. But it had a tiny kick. It was actually very good. I have 2 complaints. I was drinking water because it was a hot day(88°) and I have a 20 mile drive home. (The special was half price margaritas but I had to pass on those) The server offered to refill my drink. He did. But all he did was top off my glass with room temperature water. All of the ice left in my glass quickly melted and I was left with room temperature water. First World Problem, I know. We each received one little bowl of salsa. I asked for more expecting an El Vaquero-like carafe of salsa for two. We received one more little bowl to share. This place has a lunch buffet. The price goes up on the weekend but I like the idea. The ambiance was festive. Large art work, flags over the bar, 6 TVs and festive tables. There is music playing but overall it is very noisy. We would return and I know now to ask for ice with my drink refill and extra sour cream on my side. I took pictures after we started eating but the portions were substantial!

The all u can eat bar was soooooo small! What I don't get is their menu is plentiful of food items but the bar was scares! It was $15 just for the bar to have 5 items! Then the cold bar had all the condiments and maybe 3/4 fruit items! I was disappointed because I found them from Facebook and it was going viral so I decided to check em out and I wasted my $20! $15 for the bar and 3 for the drink then tax was $20-$21 We eat outside and we had to put up our own umbrella because the waiter said she was too short and after waiting 10 mins no one came we got on top the table and did it ourselfs! Bae said the food was ok and nothing was hot everything was warm. He only eat the soft tacos only because he made them how he wanted them. It was quiet and huni they was coming by the boat loads. Idk we won't be coming back I left and went to Smokey bones! Sorry not sorry they have a cute photo opportunity by the front door! Very cute very mindful lol

I came here last time I was working in Columbus and forgot to leave a review. In fact, I came to Yelp to see if a had left a review because I couldn't remember if I liked the place! I didn't remember anything bad and I was in the mood for some chips and salsa so I decided to return. Thankfully I did. The chips and salsa were top notch. The chicken fajitas really hit the spot. I had skipped lunch and managed to demolish the entire plate of fajitas! So good! Service was friendly and adequate. In have 9 more nights on this work trip. I'll be back.

I always order the large queso cheese and the chips are unlimited.

El Rodeo never disappoints It is MY number one restaurant I go to for Mexican food. The decor is nice and I like to see their nice waitresses especially Miss Carolina! Cold Raspberry margaritas, great table spacing and the sizzling hot Texas fajitas are amazing. This visit I ordered the cheesesteak burrito and a large queso which is one of the best quesos I've ever had! Good Location, Lots of parking on a flat lot and close to Easton on Steltzer Rd. My boyfriend and I ate at El Rodeo for dinner. I got the Carnitas and he ordered the mole enchiladas. I also ordered the pineapple coconut margarita. I loved the margarita! Super delish. Our food was fine. I enjoyed the carnitas. Our waiter was great and the manager was attentive. Great service! Great ambiance! Will definitely return!

Parking: This location shares parking with the nearby stores, but I've never seen this lot full when driving by. They have plenty of parking, but it would be nice if the landlord would add more lights at night to feel safer. Parking was fine though. 4 stars. Customer Service: Upon entering I was instantly greeted by the staff and taken immediately to a table to sit. I was quickly introduced to the waiter and placed my order at 8:49pm, then ate chips and salsa until my entree arrived at 8:58pm! Super fast. Chips and salsa were refilled as I ate. Order arrived exactly as I requested. I was finished with my meal and check was paid by 9:29pm. My entire visit only lasted 40minutes. 5 stars. Food: The food was fresh and good. I had no complaints. Based on my taste buds, it was worthy of 3.5 stars. Ambience: This is a great place for relaxing first date, dinner with friends, or family. It's very casual place that feels comfortable to be. 4 star. Conclusion: Food was good, customer service was amazing. I will definitely be coming back! Also fun because you can order food while speaking Spanish. This restaurant gives relaxing fun vibes similar to actually being in Mexico. PLUS, they sing happy birthday. To everyone who reads this review, Happy Birthday! (4+5+3.5+4)/4= 4.1 stars

I like the vibe of this place. It's like being out without doing too much. Normally I sit at the bar have some chips, salsa, and a couple nice sized daiquiri's....wheewwww!! The daiquiris do the job lol. Staff has always been pleasant, and helpful when you can't decide what you want from the menu

I sit at the bar and I'm greeted by something I've never had ever...chips served with 2 red salsas, a verde salsa and bean dip! Usually you just get chips, a small bowl and a carafe of salsa, help yourself. This set the tone that this would be different than usual. I ordered steak fajita nachos and a Modelo Negra. I powered thru the chips and bean dip like it was my job. And it didn't disappoint. Really fresh and flavorful. Nachos are nachos, right? Wrong. How they are assembled has everything to do with their mouth feel as they cool down. I've had nachos that come out looking amazing but as they cool, turn into a disappointing chuck of chips held together by shredded cheese cement. These stayed loose with crunchy bites of peppers and onions, and the cheese sauce coated instead of becoming cement-like. I always order the same thing when trying a New Mexican spot. If the nachos are good, chances are everything is good! So I'll keep the almost 5 Star steak going. I agree, some of the best Mexican food in Columbus.

He takes your order and makes your food fresh! Fajita nachos Al Pastor with a Victoria beer. The Victoria draft came out in a frosty mug and it was cold cold. Yes!! As I'm waiting for my food, more customers start coming in. Made me feel better lol. I swear the music playing is a recording of a DJ at a wedding lol. Out come the nachos and they look amazing. He also brings a little stand for my cell phone so I can eat and watch YouTube. Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. Not to mention I watched him prepare everything thru the glass counter. He's back there having fun then brings your food out with a smile. Love it. If it were super busy I don't know how he would keep up, but I appreciate his hustle. Yelp, your recommendation didn't disappoint. This was different than your typical sit down, chips and salsa, margarita special, blah blah experience. This was Cozumel in June, cruising around in the side-by-side, Oh look a cool roadside taco spot with an open center courtyard type of vibe. Minus the open courtyard. Check them out!

While I was in Korea, I came across a story that stopped me in my tracks--one of those moments when…read morethe weight of someone else's experience hits close to home. Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.

Very nice bartenders. Was chill on a Saturday. Chips are soooooo fresh and good. Reasonably priced…read morefood.

I got one chorizo, one steak, and one chicken tinga. The corn tortillas are what most people speak highly of here so I had to try it. It was exceptional. The tortillas do taste homemade and have a nice flavor and texture. The tacos didn't fall apart either. Now the meats were just okay...nothing authentic about them. Lacking in flavor too. BUT if you want to order a non taco item, you can add a tortilla for a $1. Probably what I should've done. My friend got the crunch wrap which was BIG. Prob too big for most people to finish but it had a lot of things in it, including a fried tortilla inside that my friend agreed was the star of the show. Otherwise, her Crunchwrap was bland.... We both got a mild and spicy salsa on the side but neither were spicy. And of course, neither were that flavorful. Service was good. The staff was nice. We didn't wait long for the food. More like 3.8 stars overall. Masa recently opened another stall that sells salads. I'd prob try that next time.
