The employees behind the counter had zero patience for customer questions. Simply bark out your expectations and they flop the food products into your tortilla or I. Your bowl. My gripe however was the completely incompetent employee charged with the task of rolling up my burrito. FIRST - put some damn gloves on dude...please. I don't know where yo hands have been. I love the food here! Everything was delicious and fresh. Upon entering I noticed that there were social distancing markers on the floor. All staff was wearing masks and gloves. There were many options for toppings and I think the prices are reasonable. The staff was very friendly which made the experience even better. We were in and out very quickly. Qdoba has the best quesadillas with unlimited toppings and free guac...you can't go wrong for $8.95. I've dined here for almost ten years and their menu has changed slightly over time. Usually the staff here are great and work extremely well together. They are efficient in getting orders in and they even have a separate station for UberEats/Grubhub/Doordash/ and Mobile App orders. I'm not sure what happened this time but all the staff were just standing around while three patrons and I were waiting for our pick up orders. There was zero customer service when multiple workers were just talking to each other. Delivery drivers could have been rude to the staff previously but that does not mean they get to dismiss other paying customers waiting to pick up their orders. In terms of food, the quesadillas are stuffed and cooked to cheesy perfection. The tortilla chips could be a little salty sometimes. Came to try the new cheese crusted quesadilla today and was actually shocked at what I got. After waiting 15 minutes (way longer than the rest) for my quesadilla, I receive it and it's a burnt mess. I honestly don't even know how they could serve this, better get call it "cheese crusted" when in reality they just burn the hell out of the cheese on top. I wanted to like it here but I could only give it two stars. I ordered a salad bowl, no tortilla shell, no beans, no rice. I filled my salad with chicken, peppers and onions, corn salsa, and tomatillo sauce. The salad was pretty tasty but there was barely any chicken and the chicken that I did get consisted of tiny, minuscule pieces and most of it was mystery chicken (fatty, rubbery, grossness). So this was back when I was living in NY that I would drop by here with the then boyfriend or best guy friend. Mostly the then boyfriend. This was the only place I could get my "somewhat Mexican" fix and this was the closest place to where I lived to get it. Although it was always crowded when I went, after I got my order there was always a seat. The handy thing was that if you showed your student ID you got a free drink. My favorite thing to get here was the chicken burrito. Although it looked like here was not a lot when you were ordering, when you got the real thing right in front of you - it was pretty massive. Parking was pretty simple - it shares the same parking lot as Applebees, CVS, and Strawberry (if I remember correctly). The food at this Qdoba restaurant is so fresh and delicious! My go to meal here is the chicken burrito bowl with the shell OMG it is the bomb. And that's not the only thing that is really good on the menu, the tacos, quesadillas, and burrito. The food is fresh and taste amazing, also they have the soda machine with lile 100 flavors and you can refill it as many times as you want. Another good tip is that if your in college and you have your college ID, you will get a free drink. So I highly reccomend you carry your college ID of you plan on saving couple bucks! read more

Really really good. Came here with a friend for lunch for the first time. First walking in, i could tell this place was good. It was pretty full and everyone had a great meal in front of them :) Despite all the people in there, finding a place to sit was no problem. There was also seating outside. I had a burrito with the ground beef, rice, cheese, tomato, sour cream and guacamole. It was made so well and was SO delicious. My mind was blown. You tasted every flavor and every bite was perfect. You got a taste of everything in each bite. The preparers were nice and had as assembly line system. The line moved fairly quickly. There was a wide range of things you could include in your burrito. Not huge but not too small either. The workers are friendly, always greet me happily, and everytime I've come in here the line has never been too much of a wait. It's pretty good if you're looking for Mexican in the area. And I surely agree with Lenna P. The tortilla really does get soggy if you have it sitting too long. I'm so in love with this place. Now I see why the lines are always through the door! I came her for a quick inch before work while visiting my friend. The lines are always long so I hesitated but I was in the mood for some type of Mexican food. When I walked in, the line was almost by the door however it was moving extremely fast. It seemed as though everyone was a regular and knew what they wanted. I haven't eaten here before so I ordered a small kids meal bowl and boy was I surprised. Everything was full of flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. And here's the best part of it all, FREE GUACAMOLE. My heart fell started beating out of my chest when I heard that. Amazing. Qdoba is giving Chipotle a run for its money. They have more options for toppings than Chipotle and did I mention that GUAC IS FREE?!?! You can opt for a wheat tortilla instead of a flour tortilla, and they also have a rewards program where you can earn a free entree via rewards card or Qdoba app! I only got a few toppings, and my burrito was already packed. They're definitely generous in the portions that they give, and I couldn't finish more than half my burrito in one sitting. I tried their signature 3 cheese queso, and it's pretty much nacho cheese dip. It was good, but I think I'll pass and just get regular cheese next time. Could qdoba ever disappoint? The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The service is for the most part very friendly more so when it comes to they guys, they are always welcoming. The portions are large and the prices are moderate. My go to is always the tostada salad and I always get a side of their guacamole cause it's the bomb! I drop by here whenever I want Mexican, or if I want to grab a quick dinner before the movies (the AMC theater is only a block away), and I like how this place is a no fuss location. I don't understand these rage reviews; "not enough food for what you pay for" ? Either your stomach has been stretched out immensely and their large portions can't fill you up, or you're just being cheap. The portion size is perfect for what you pay for. $7.39 for a huge packed salad that you get to create? That's fair. A salad from Wendy's or McDonald's is about $6, and it's smaller than this taco salad! The burritos are also massive, you can share it with someone else if you'd like. Portion size here is not a problem at all. Even kiddie meals will fill up an adult. Many were saying the staff were "being rude" or something similar along that line, but...no. The staff is fine! They're friendly actually, you just gotta know how to approach people! Just because you're grumpy & hungry doesn't mean you have to take it out on the person making your burrito. Relax. Ask for guacamole. They even have lemons and limes on the side. Of all the chain Mexican restaurants, I like Qdoba the best. I first discovered this chain in Florida and was a regular when I lived down there. There is only one that I know of on Long Island and it is not particularly close to where I live, so going here is a little bit of a treat for me. I don't know if it's all the Qdobas or just this one, but I used to get free chips with any entree and they don't offer that any more. I like the nachos here, they make a nice meal all by themselves. When I get a burrito, I get the shredded beef which is a nice change from the usual options at the other "build your burrito" Mexican places. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I ordered a bowl and asked for half chicken half steak. I was charged for a chicken bowl 7.99 and $2 extra steak. I never told them extra and said half and half as i always get from chipotle(no extra charge). The total was 10.88 and it should have been under $9. I told the manager and she said "you got two servings of meat thats what you were charged for" i told her i ordered half and half and it was her employees mistake. The manager went on to say "we dont do half and half meat only double meat". ***my friend that i went with gets double meat every visit, no extra charge**** i had told her that wasnt what i wanted and i ASKED to be refunded after she just stood looking at me with a blank stare. The manager reluctantly refunded me but instead of charging me correctly she charged me for a queso steak bowl, which costs 8.69 and mine should have been 7.99. At this point i just wanted to leave so i never got it readjusted. And to TOP it all off when i spoke with the manager she kept saying "what?" "What?" So that i would have to scream "you charged me the wrong amount" and "can i be refunded the difference" so that it seemed as if i was making a scene. Terrible customer service, there were other customers all over. This manager is seriously one of the worst i have ever dealt with, i absolutely do not want to visit that location ever again because of how rude and unhelpful the MANAGER was. The worst customer service of any fast food restaurant in the area. No matter how many times I have ordered from them in the past, they always make the food incorrectly! That ranges from repeatedly adding ingredients you're allergic to and have included instructions to exclude, and still remaking it incorrectly. That can't be blamed on a language barrier or illiteracy because the staff can read orders back and then, still make them wrong again. After that, I've ordered food from here against my better judgement and always receive the food with missing ingredients, cold, or with ingredients not requested. This seems to be a common issue because every time that I'm in the restaurant, there is at least one other customer complaining about their order. Instead of being understanding of their staff's mistakes, you just have the incompetent staff yelling and arguing with the customers, barking orders to stay away from them and then have the nerve not to let you check the order after their mistakes! At an already difficult time for everyone, when businesses are already struggling to stay open, you have to deal with terrible customer service like this. So filling and the meat was so tender. I added beans and rice which made it more messy that usual. I requested the salsa and extras come separately and they did Brisket soup. For those unfamiliar with Qdoba, it's a fast casual Tex-Mex restaurant which follows the assembly line model just like Chipotle and Moe's. This particular location has a high volume of customers, so fresh food is continuously being prepared to keep up with demand. The lines are pretty long around lunch time. I usually get the edible bowl, I have no idea what the menu name is. It's always fresh and crispy and really adds so much depth to my food. Their burritos are delicious as well. There's lots of TVs and room for a group. The price is up their with its competitors and you do get a lot for the money. If I could give the service a rating, I would give it about 2 stars. Several years ago I went inside this restaurant. I ordered a large order consisting of Burritos and tacos. The servers were a bit preoccupied with other Things. They were a bit rude. I did not care as long as they gave me what I ordered. I was very specific With what I wanted and of course I wanted chicken with my orders. When I got home none of my orders contained Chicken in them. I was so upset. Why would they do that? I never returned. Today I decided after so long to go inside and make my order. My daughter stated that they have a better crew and the place has changed. She was right. I was treated with respect and in a professional way. The lighting was very good. The crew was approachable. I couldn't even finish it and I have the appetite of a small hippo. I've gotten ground beef and chicken. I've eaten flour burritos and taco salad shells. No complaints ever. Came here with a bunch of friends for lunch during our break. It's about a 5-10 min drive away from St. John's but it takes much longer to get here by public transportation so I don't recommend commuting here by bus! It's in a little mall/plaza so there are other food options nearby that you can try out as well. I wasn't really a fan of the decor because it's kinda small and there were a lot of St. John's students here for lunch as well. Overall, it seemed really cramped in there, especially with so many people during lunchtime. The service was good though and very fast. Compared to Chipotle, Qdoba definitely pales in comparison. I ordered the Brown Rice bowl with chicken, salsa, cheese sauce, and guac and it was nowhere as good as what I got at Chipotle. The chicken was really mushy instead of slightly chewy like grilled chicken is supposed to be. The whole bowl itself seemed really bland and not flavorful at all. The good thing is that Qdoba is way cheaper. My bowl came out to be ~$8+ while the bowl I get at Chipotle usually totals up to ~$12+ (Manhattan prices though). Overall, if I'm craving Mexican food and can get a ride here, I'll definitely come back since there aren't that many other options in this part of Queens. PS. I go here all the time and in my opinion it is was better than chipotle. I usually get a burrito with chicken, lettuce, rice, and guac and it is always so good. However sometimes the server can be a little stingy on the guac so just watch out. Everyone there is always so nice and friendly and you can usually find seating (unless it is super packed). There are usually long lines, but they move very fast. There is a wide variety of drink selections to choose from (similar to how it is in the movies where you select what drink you want and so on).
