Carved my white pumpkin with a cat design, 20 October 2011.
Tanis L.

When attending the University of Washington and living in the on-campus dorms for Spring 2011 and Autumn 2011 quarters, this QFC in University Village was my most frequented place to pick up groceries off-campus at a good price. It was a walkable distance and had a variety of offerings. Self check-out was consistently fast even when busy and workers were professional. One of my highlights from the 2011 time period was picking out pumpkins and carving them with my roommate. They even had white pumpkins, which as someone who had grown up carving orange pumpkins I decided to go with to try something new. I carved it with a cat pattern, and found it did not last as long as the carved orange pumpkin(s), but it was still fun to try something new.

I wish I would have taken more photos, this place was a really neat place to go shopping! The layout of the store was inviting. It was clean & stocked. We ended up getting wine, cheese, salami & crackers. I appreciated the boxes designated for the $5 or less cheese it allowed us to try cheeses we've never tried before. There was quite a line of people at the deli to get their meat sliced, so we had found pre-sliced salami that was already sliced from the service deli earlier but prepackaged... that was a great idea. Don't get me started about the wine selection it was set up nicely, had all sorts of selections of different varietals. We ended up getting 6 bottles so we could get the additional 10% off. I was impressed with the amount of ports available. The prices on the wine are extremely reasonable and for the bottles that we did pick up We're all at least 4 out of 5. The 2019 Garnacha from Godina was 5/5 and an AMAZING wine.

The QFC bar is incredibly clutch. The prices can't be beat at all. You get a 20 oz beer for around $4 regularly, then they have a happy hour specials that are even better. Two TV screens worth of choices. A very economical option to enjoy some beer while catching a game on TV. Prefer this over some of the often over priced restaurants and bars nearby. The bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable. There is a tip jar but generally the receipts leave no place for tipping. Menus on the table are available to order food from the Tutta Bella's in the store. They'll deliver your order right to you as well. We go here regularly because it's such a nice little oddity to enjoy in Seattle. Supermarket bars are in!

I definitely prefer shopping here over Safeway ("Sketchway") on The Ave. I find that the produce and meat here is fresher and that the overall store is cleaner and better stocked and organized. It also has a greater varieties of products compared to Safeway. The workers here tend to be friendly and helpful. I usually use self-checkout, but most of my experiences going through the assisted checkout line have been positive. I can usually find a parking spot in the garage towards the back, but Sunday afternoons and evenings are definitely the busiest time to shop here. QFC recently got new cold cases for dairy products. I don't know if that is exciting or not, but it shows that they care about keeping their products fresh and providing a positive shopping experience for customers.

A lovely, clean and vast store with most anything one would need while grocery shopping. An Ellenos yogurt bar in house makes for a wonderful treat, rain or shine, frigid or arid. (And samples to boot!) A small basket available near the fresh produce for free fruit for children, too. Employees are often preoccupied, don't see you if you need assistance, even when standing right next to them, politely saying, "excuse me?" (Crickets) But, if you know where you're going, what you need and where to find it, not needing to confer with anyone, you should find your shopping experience pleasant.

Aaah a market that I wish was near where I live. They have an abundance of items to choose from and even organic, vegan and the regular brand of groceries. But what impresses me is the hot items and salad bar available to people on the go or just don't have the time to prepare a meal. And surprisingly it was open 24/7 and was one of the few stores available on Thanksgiving Day. Did you know they even had a Starbucks in the store for your convenience. They also featured local products and I love that because you get the taste of what Washington has to offer. And the price is right too along with the no food tax for you food items. You can't beat that! When ever you are in town stop by if you need anything for the hotel you will not be disappointed.

The older gentleman working at the Qfc liquor store wasn't the easiest person to work with. Horrible customer service.

I've been buying their shrimp in a tray for $5, which wasn't a bad price. But now "shrinkage" is so extreme that I won't buy it anymore.

If you have kids, they also have the Quality Fun Center, where it appears you can drop off the rugrats to make kitschy craft projects while you shop.

Also wish I didn't discover it my last night in town because I would have stopped in almost everyday. Huge selection - from health & beauty, dishes, alcohol, prepared food, and just about everything you can imagine from the food side (pantry and fresh). Large produce selection with a lot of items you can't easily find in an "everyday American" grocery store. I also loved they carried salad mixes. The meat and seafood area had great selection and was so clean and fresh! The pantry type items also had an incredible selection. I wish I could have stocked up on so many things. For a quick lunch or dinner, stop by and try some of their prepared food items - great selection and I felt reasonable prices. I loved browsing all the aisles and was so inspired to want to make a delicious meal. Since I was traveling, I could only pick up a few items! Hope when I return to leave some extra room in my suitcase. Great store!

They have many sections, grocery, snacks, drinks, kitchen supplies, stationery and more. I definitely love the chips section. More options than NJ. I would have bought the whole shelf if I can. The outside was firm while the inside was gooey and soft and so fricking good. It also was still warm when I bought and ate it, which elevated the taste so much more. The peanuts and visible layers of peanut butter on the inside were perfection. My life has been changed. Please, if you're reading this, get this cookie. I'm a super picky eater and I love that there are a variety of options!! Some of my go to favourites are the mini turkey baguette sandwiches, caesar salads and blueberries from the salad bar, and mac n cheese! I love that I can get just about anything I'm craving here and it's fresh and local from from my favourite Ellenos yogurt, to organic strawberries. My boyfriend is absolutely obsessed with how firm the grapes are here. I personally shop at a different grocery store, but whenever I'm buying him grapes they have to be specifically bought from this store because this is where he likes them the best. I love coming to this met market and can't wait to come back soon! And not just because my boyfriend never lets us leave without buying me a delectably decadent The Cookie haha!

Since we don't have Trader Joe's in Hawaii, I like to bring snacks home, but I focused this time on those canvas bags and even got some mini canvas bags and the olive green insulated totes! I also looked at the greeting cards, fresh flowers, and new items. Thanks for the convenient restroom and friendly employees! We were able to find Joey, the mascot, and received stickers and lollipops as our reward! This was a fun shopping experience!
