5 stars for Ellen in the Seafood Dept. super friendly and helpful. When you buy seafood, they give you the seasonings like garlic butter, lemon pepper butter, lemon slices, etc. Dylan, our cashier, also friendly and helpful. This location is convenient for us since is just .5 miles away from us and big parking lot. I like their Fuchsias Day in April where you bring your pots, but your plants and they will fill your pots with dirt and plant the plants! The staff were so happy and enjoyed doing this - it was the kick off for their spring plants. read more

Standard Fred Meyer. Clothing section is smaller than other locations but they always have good clearance and sales. I like to stop here as they have a specific brand of deodorant that I use and is hard to find at other stores. This store is well organized and always clean when I shop. This is the worse experience with a fredmeyer store . I would say it's confusing, racist ,and lazy mean staff . I walked in to have some groceries bought : Then checked some deals in clothing , Managers in the clothing said a price , The front cashiers something else . Be careful when ordering online from this store. They show things they have in stock on the online order form, yet they are often out of stock with the online shopper. They've NEVER been out of chicken nuggets, ever, but today I ordered two 70.4 ounce bags and they were not delivered, saying they were out of stock. I can verify that if you go into the store they will have them. I am no longer using instacart, Kroger online ordering. I will go into the store from now on, and to boot, they often have specials in the store they do not have online, and those savings wipe out the sales tax and even the taxi fare. (I do not have a car and am disabled). But I will say that I am loyal to the Kroger brand, as their products are as good as or better than the name brand for 1/2 to 1/3 the price. They suck! Uses instacart for delivery orders but when they dont live up to expectations the management has nothing to do with your problem. I placed a $200 delivery order for 5-7pm. Shopper started at 5:30 , at 7 pm i msg the shopper how its going. She said i just checked out. At 8 pm they still did not arrive and no answer from.delivery where they were. I called fred meyer Tigard oregon got a "customer service" person who stated once the groceries check out and leave the store fred meyer is no longer responsible. Said I would have to call instacart. Ok call to instacart and recording said their lines are too busy and call back later... right... Called fred meyer back asked to speak to a manager. When nasty person came on the line i asked if she was the manager and she said i am A manager...right... told her my issue which she was so quick to shut me down talk over me to tell me fred meyer was not responsible. Fred Meyer Greenwood is still a terrible store. It's latest trick for saving money is using short poor-quality paper bags WITHOUT handles! This discriminates against disabled people and the elderly, making it harder for them to manage several grocery bags while walking or on the bus. Fred Meyer Ballard still offers regualar bags. We get a lot of grocery bags donated at our local food bank, but we have to recyle them because they are useless for our purposes. Most of our clients lack cars and can't carry these cheap, crappy bags that lack handles. read more

It's your basic Fred Meyer. Quite big, so be prepared to do some walking. I went recently because my husband and I were having corndog cravings. Corndogs are not easy to find in Seattle, except for the Asian style. So we decided to try the Freddys deli and get a couple from there. Hopes were high, but they were quickly dashed. The corndog batter was OK, but nothing to write home about. Not as crunchy as one hopes for. But what's worse is that the dogs themselves were completely flavorless. So if you go to their deli, I would avoid them. As to the rest of the store, it is huge and chances are they will have what you need. Plenty of parking, as usual. read more

On average, I shop there once a week. Your employee Linny was just so blatantly hostile, though, that from here on out, I'l be shopping at Trader Joe's. Another employee was wiping down Aisle 4, so I asked if it was open. Linny immediately barked at me, "I hate stupid questions!" I was stunned b/c, seriously, what? Who does that? So, I asked, "Excuse me?" And she yelled--a guy even turned around to look--"You heard me! The light is on! The aisle is open! I hate answering stupid questions!" I remained quiet b/c, honestly, as a disabled woman who both walks w/ a walker and wears a mask, I feared for my safety. I've already spoken to your manager--and he was good and said he'd go talk to her immediately--but I'm documenting this in writing b/c she was kind to the male customer who came after me who, notably, was not disabled. Kyle at the customer service desk is extremely rude. He was helping a customer and it was taking a while and I came and leaned against the counter and Kyle said I'll be with you in a second@ and I said ok. And stayed leaning because I was comfortable and I was not in anyone's way and he kept staring at me and I said what's the problem and he turned his monitor so he could see me it I could t see him and then stared at me more. The store is massive and a little hard to navigate but overall OK. However, I received no customer service whatsoever from the deli despite the 5 employees all standing 8 feet from me. They all saw me standing there waiting but not one offered to help me or at least say, someone will be with you soon. Waited 5 minutes. Eventually left reported the incident to the store manager. I'll NEVER set foot in the place again. And I used to spend over $10,000 a year at the Lake City location, before Kroger closed it. Today, March 16, 2026 at about 3 pm, I picked and used a self-checkout but when I attempted to pay the cash option did not show. I had not seen any indication beforehand that this station would not accept cash. When a woman employee, about 30, dark hair, and about 5' or so tall, came over to help I explained and she said there was a message on the screen. I've been told this before so since then have carefully looked over the screen of any self-checkout I use but never see the message. Today I was told that after I scan my Fred Meyer card it will show. So when done I swiped my card again and indeed a message to the effect that the checkout stand did not accept cash did flash on the screen. I say flash, and I mean flash - I am sure it was there for about 1/2 second, on the upper left side of the screen, then it was gone. I tried to contact the woman employee again to let her know that the message flashes so fast that unless you happen to be looking right at that part of the screen as you swipe your card - and who does - you will miss it - just so she may be aware and not so emphatic that there is a message that everyone can see - well, not really unless you literally catch it as it flashes on, then off. As I approached her she recognized me and even before I could get out more than two or three words said that it was all settled and she didn't want to hear all about it again and turned her back and walked away. Who wouldn't think this a flippant and rude response to someone trying to inform her the no cash message is nearly impossible to see before it disappears - maybe she could speak to management, maybe have it changed to appear longer - or just be helpful in some way given the unreasonable situation. But no. She couldn't be bothered and was dismissive. Left me feeling as if I'd done something wrong trying to inform her of something that could use a remedy to be more fair to customers. Generally employees there are friendly and helpful. So this was a bit of a shock. Dismissing someone trying to help or inform about an issue is not professional. Perhaps she was just having a bad day. But is that a good reason to rudely dismiss a customer trying to point out an issue to an employee that is negatively affecting customers? My given star rating is 3 because I like the store and the employees, and perhaps the person I dealt with today was just off, but even at that there was an issue that Fred Meyer should be made aware of and point out to their employees. My visit today was so very pleasant. Floor staff that unlocked skin care cabinet was just awesome. Didn't catch her name but she was about 11:15. Check out staff member, Andrew was also just as nice and was quick without making me feel rushed. I also visited Customer Service counter for assistance with fixing a Western Union I sent from a different location that failed. Ian took the time to help get it corrected without making me feel bad even though it was my error. GREAT STAFF!!! read more

This place is weird. Half of the things I was looking for were locked up, so I wasn't able to get them. The lines are crazy long if you don't use self checkout. I wrote last week that Fred Meyer really needs to work on ensuring customers are charged the advertised prices. At this point 4 of my last 6 trips required waiting in line to get a reimbursement for discounts not applied during checkout. I've attached my receipt to better illustrate the issue -- this morning I was charged $22.99 for a 6-pack of fire logs, rather than the posted "Low Price" of $19.99. I continue to raise my concerns, this time directly to a manager, who walked me over to customer service to return my money. The cashier simply handed me $3, paying no interest to the receipt or the tax charged (Is this process audit-worthy?) The manager I raised my concern to stated that he'll get with his auditing team to work on the issue. For the sake strengthening trust with their customer base, I really hope they do. read more

I haven't been to a Fred Meyer in a few years now and the last time I shopped at one, was in Oregon. If you haven't been to a Fred Meyer, it is a unique store in which it is a department store that sells apparel, home decor and furniture, barbecue, auto, garden related items, electronics, etc. But this store is a grocery store as well (and has a large dedicated area, which makes this a standout from Target and Walmart). Honestly, Fred Meyer reminds me of Fedco (department chain that was operated only in Southern California and closed in the late 90's) and really is a one stop, shopping destination since you can buy anything and everything here. It is really interesting that there is a small food court here, with chairs and tables upstairs in case you wish to eat your food purchase in store. My husband and I stopped by this store yesterday, just to browse. On this particular visit, all apparel was an additional 15% off (including clearance). Overall, we had a pleasant shopping experience and would shop here again, especially if we lived in this area. read more

Certigy check cashing is broken. I've attached an image of everything showing the check is good and Certigy is full of BS. They use this service to cash their checks and print you off a special receipt telling you to go fuck yourself for absolutely no reason. I've resolved this over the phone with them years ago after sitting on the phone a few hours yet they still got issues! I'm here about once a week and I really do like Fred Meyer. I like it because they have everything I might need--groceries, homegoods, tools, clothing, kitchenwares, personal care items, plants--you name it. The grocery selection may not be as extensive as a store that sells exclusively groceries, but it has the basics. The store is also organized in a some-what confusing way. I feel like I can never find anything without taking a few laps around the store. The one thing I CANNOT stand is the check-out process. Expect to wait in line at pretty much any time of day. If it's after work or on a Sunday, don't even bother. Typically they have 1-2 full-service checkout lines open and several self-checkouts. I am one of those people who hate self-checkouts and sometimes I have way too many items for it to make sense. If I want the full-service checkout, I end up waiting in an extremely long line. read more

Not a big fan of going to Fred Meyers, Target, and definitely not Walmart. I just get annoyed with dumb people in the parking lots, walking in the aisles, getting in your way, oblivious to their surroundings etc. You know what I mean. But......... This Fred Meyer is newer and right in the middle of Greenwood area. I was recently on the hunt for some white elephant gifts that I had to get for work and social. I hit up the toy section and found what I needed and that was done in about 15 minutes. I decided to walk around the store and see if there was something I needed at home such as detergents, cleaning supplies, toilet paper or any personal hygiene items. I got a cart and walked around and gathered what I needed. I like they have smaller shopping carts too than those regular big ones. Anyways, all aisles are well stocked and it was easy to find my items. I ended up in the food area, I was actually quite impressed, clean, a lot of selections, nice displays and they have a wing bar!!!! What, who has a wing bar? This Fred does! I didn't partake but I was hungry so I ended up getting one of their prepared sandwiches. It was this chicken "teriyaki" sandwich on a flat bread with pineapple. Pretty darn good and that hit the spot perfectly. Meats, produce, bulk, cheeses, prepared foods were all very nice with a good selection and seemed better than other Fred Meyer stores I've been to. Overall, its a nicer Fred Meyer so you can come here if you want. Parking lot is pretty big so that is a plus, a few other neighboring stores in the area that you can walk to as well, so you can park here. read more

This Fred Meyer has extremely gone down hill...Not sure where they are getting their produce lately but it's HORRIBLE. For example If you get onions you have to buy 3 to get one good one. Items are NEVER in stock anymore. Simple ingredients you now have to travel to different stores to purchase. They DO NOT enforce mask wearing. Was in a couple weeks ago and homeless man was sitting in a chair by the front doors, no mask on, and while sitting there peed his pants. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are so angry about. I think this Fred Meyer serves its purpose of having a variety of food in stock for a decent price. Of course WinCo is still my all-time fave but compared to Safeway and QFC, at least Fred Meyer gives you hope that your wallet will survive. I go pretty frequently and have gone at all times of the day and on various weekdays (thanks covid). Every time I've always been able to find what I wanted, which is mostly produce, meat, and baking supplies. I also really like their plant section during spring and summer! I have yet to see anyone not wear their mask in store. I always use self-checkout and have received good service when I need help with the machine. Not a complaint, but I don't think their bottom floor sections (automotive, home goods, seasonal) are very effective. read more

As I have mentioned in my previous review, this Fred Meyer is pretty awesome. What I like about this Fred Meyer compared to neighboring grocery stores: * Wide variety of produce * Better selection of meats and seafood * Decent bulk foods section * Cookware selection (I'm still slowly building up on essentials) * Hot wings bar The sushi here is actually not bad, compared to its neighboring grocery stores. Then again, we'll see if it will be consistent seeing that FM is still new. One thing to avoid here is the bakery. The woman that works there is extremely unhelpful and doesn't take the time to understand what the customer wants. I went in earlier in the week to inquire (and order) a custom photo cake. I asked for an order form to look over prices, since the sign at the bakery only lists how much each cake size cost. All she kept doing was pointing at the sign, even though the photo cake prices are not posted. To top it off, I got cut off by another family and she started socializing with them. If anything, you are better off going to the QFC on Holman Rd. Much better customer service. To end on a positive note, the cheese department is amazing. I had a custom cheese platter made for $25 which included dates and dried fruit, double cream brie, coffee cheese, merlot cheese and another kind of cheese. It was worth every penny. read more

Twenty minutes later, I called the customer service rep., who helpfully secured it in their lost and found bin. The next day, it was gone. I don't blame customer service. A store this large will have at least one dishonest employee. I blame management for creating the opportunity and culture for dishonest employees to treat lost and found like a goody bag. read more

My review is for an employee attending the western union booth. I was very dissatisfied and, let alone, offended by the way I was treated by one of your representatives. I came with a smile to send money overseas but what I received was an unpleasant approach from the employee who I believed was delivering a training. Usually when we send money we do not have to fill out a form so when I ask for an explanation to why the protocol was different from other western union, for example de one in Fred Meyer over at Renton, the employee in a borderline rude tone said "because I don't like to ask questions" Which is the protocol they use in every western union worldwide. I didn't like tone nor the manner so my advice is to re -trained the agent not only on customer service skills but also in people's skills as well. I was in the Seattle greenwood fred meyer store today. I shop there regularly and usually enjoy it. Today was different as I did not see any of the CDC's guidelines or the governors regulations being followed. I thought I would let you know what I thought was missing. I am sure it is not easy for you but safety is so important lately. No PPE on employees to help keep them and us safe. NO wiping or cleaning of surfaces. NO sanitizer or hand wash station for employees or public NO one regulating the number of people that could enter the store at one time No signage or person asking people to stay 6' apart. read more
