It's just okay here unless you come for the cheap fuel and use your reward card (any Kroger issued reward card that gets you fuel points) City Market, Kind Sooper, Kroger, Fred Meyer, QFC and there are others from out of state. I've found the only thing a good deal here is the Chocolate Milk that I've posted in the photos for this profile. First one is $1.99 but the bottle return with a replacement purchase ends up being $1.95 so you only pay .05 cents for the next round of this delicious drink. Outside of the choco-milk, they charge a little more overall then if you were to hit their sister Kroger store Fred Meyer, so I will do most of my normal shopping at F/M. This store is clean. It's not a very large store, but it's good enough to serve the Northshore neighboring community. I've found their staff to be friendly except one guy in the hot deli department. One of my visits he came off rather abrupt and rude but everyone else was nice, so maybe he was having a bad day. I haven't seen him in a while. I'll be back! read more

I'm disabled and it hurts to walk and shop. Last time I went to qfc I had to pay full price even when I scammed all my discounts. No help. Today similar thing. I couldn't check out with my discounts and they wouldn't help. I left my full grocery cart there. Called the manager who sounded nice but all he kept saying was " i wish they would have called me or another manager.Because this was an easy fix" but they didn't call a manager, and they didn't offer any other solutions. So now i'm sitting out in front of fred meyer, trying to get the guts to go in.And face the pain to do a second grocery shopping trip that I really didn't need to do today because I have a lot of shit.I have to do every day. This sets me back at least two hours, maybe more. It's going to cost me an extra hour.A second time. The manager apologized and is going to send me a gift card.So that I will try them again. But I haven't decided if I will use the gift card or not yet. Because so far, shopping at q f c for me has been a huge waste of time and money. If their prices are high and they offer digital coupons.But then you cannot use the digital coupon price.Even though you've signed up and you're a member, then that seems kind of like false advertising to me.You come into their store even though they're more expensive than every other grocery store you pick out what you want on coupon.You go to buy it and you have to pay full price.That's a scam. If it happens one more time I'll be calling the lawyers and police.You cannot be scamming people. It's like they're dependent on the fact that you spent so much time.There, shopping and picking up your groceries.That they hope that you'll just pay full price at the register.Because you're too frustrated to walk out and go to another store. It's immoral. It's anti america. It's anti advertisement law. The manager did seem to care, but the two cashiers that I had a problem with the past two times I went absolutely did not care. They didn't even call the management up, which is what they're supposed to do apparently.But they probably didn't want to get in trouble for not helping the customer.So why call the manager when the customer will just go away? This QFC is an odd mixture of very nice and very crummy. The store sits between North East Tacoma and Federal Way and it is definitely more of a Federal Way vibe. The people you will encounter are interesting at times, but the food is a better selection than Safeway or similar. Part of my low rating is because of the very low quality of the deli staff. One of the guys, a taller sort of delicate black man, is a complete sarcastic jerk every single time. Even if you aren't talking to him he will interject with some special comment that always ruins my mood. For example I buy some burritos from a different worker and nicely ask if they have taco sauce which they used to have with other condiments and instead of just saying they no longer offer any condiments (which is also annoying) he decides to tell me that I can buy some boom boom sauce cups they have and when I can't find anything resembling hot sauce he shouts over the case that its the spicy salad dressing and it's right there with an attitude. He feels the need to add in a rude tone that they haven't had condiments for yeeeeeaars, which isn't true, and totally unnecessary. The deli food itself is pretty low quality whether you get it out of the hot case or the nearby cold box. It usually seems to have been sitting for quite some time. The other food in the store is fine with some high quality offerings and some gross near expiration items that you have to watch out for. I wish she had a nicer grocery store in the area where everyone isn't treated like a potential thief. I approached her register and she continued scrolling on her phone for a good long minute, I had to ask if her register was open and she completely ignored my questio until the cashier on the other register spoke up and said yes we are. Turned up, at 12:41 am walked into the store, my mind was fixated on doughnuts. Doughnuts were all I was there for. I go to the bakery, and I smell the aroma of baked goods in the air. The clerk was there ready to provide me my goods. it all sounds good right? They were out of doughnuts. I was so full of disappointment I could not bear standing in that store a second longer. I sat down, unable to bear the emotions I was feeling, I began bawling my eyes out. By the time I was done I was told to leave by the clerk, it was 1 am, closing time. I really should start a draft review with notes a little better because from memory I cannot recall too much about this place to write about except the Piroshkis and impressive selection of imported British Candy. My Husband and I walked around the store for some time looking at all of the items and noticed you can get some items for a lot less here but also many items overpriced. I guess if you're looking for multiple imported items that's what you pay for a 'one stop shop' for everything. Be sure to check out the deli at the back of the store. read more

Clean and organized but the prices are usually a bit higher compared to their sister company, Fred Meyer. They used to be open 24/7 but now they only stay open until 1AM. Gas prices are fair especially when you use your Kroger membership card. Parking lot is very dark at night but I usually gas up anytime because there's usually a police car parked in the area. This place is very nice, and I was totally shocked to find a QFC in this area. I agree with the previous reviewer about one thing, the LaBrea Bakery breads are out of this world. Their sourdough rivals the stuff I've had sitting on Fisherman's Pier in San Francisco. I do have to disagree with her lunch meat selection though. The Boars Head brand carried her, is totally top of the mark. With the LaBrea bread and Boars Head meats and cheeses, you can make better sandwiches then just about any restaurant. Nice big parking lot, and store isn't over crowded. The checkers seemed to know most of the their customers by name, so I get the impression this is a store where most of the clientele are many time repeat customers. Complimentary wine tastings on Friday and Saturday from 3-6. Just be sure to have your ID with you because they will card you no matter if you're 21 or 101. read more

This was my neighborhood QFC growing up! They still have that great friendly service. Fresh fruits and veggies and the flower options were amazing when I was looking for a gift visiting old friends. Qfc has always been my go to shopping spot. Yesterday I went shopping there and had the rudest customer experience ever! I cashed out $49 in lotto tickets...I hit the jackpot I know. I scanned it before hand so I knew exactly what I should get back. The cashier was unable to use the register at customer service so we went to the self checkout register. The cashier didn't say a word to me once and just left me at customer service desk. When I received my cash it was a dollar short. I asked her about the other dollar and she opened up her drawer and slammed it closed when she gave me my dollar. She didn't say anything and just walked away. It wasn't that I was jipped a dollar but it is all about costumer service. It was like she knew she jipped me the dollar and was going to take the money out later. I have been coming to this store since it opened. Are usually get great service or no service meaning I go and get my groceries pay and leave. It is the closest grocery store to my house. I went in tonight to pick up a couple of things I had just gotten off of work. I know that there have been some problems recently at this store but I was dressed well in designer jeans I designer shirt carrying a coach bag and using a Michael Kors Wallet. I went to the self check in because I was using a different set of keys I did not have my QFC advantage card with me. I politely asked the girl there if I could use a QFC card she entered one and I replied thank you. I purchased a brown paper bag and whoever had used the self check out prior to me had left a basket on top of the brown paper bags. I lifted the basket to grab the paper bag I purchased when the same clerk that had help me came over and speaking to me like a four-year-old grab the basket and said these go here and placed it in its place. I replied I know where they go and I don't appreciate being spoken to like a child and chastise in front of other customers. I don't know what her problem is but I will be calling tomorrow to speak with a manager and if this is not remedied I will never shop there again. read more

I have been shopping at this QFC since they opened. The employees at this store are one of the MAIN reasons I shop here. They are friendly, helpful, and can be quite hilarious at times. They do treat you like family here and are sure to point out whatever good deals they have spotted. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is the recent increases in their prices. I have noticed at least a 28% to 30% jump on just about everything. This seems unnecessary to me considering they are owned by Kroger who also owns Fred Meyer. Why would the exact same product be more expensive then their other store less than 3 miles away? Bad form Kroger !! read more

Staff are nice and I love the chocolate milk. It is the only store I have ever found Twin Brook Creamery chocolate jersey milk. It comes in a glass bottle (I save them and use them as cups after I'm done). The stuff is just awesome. I have had chocolate milk from around the country and I will tell you this is on the top 5 chocolate milks. I cannot eat regular chocolate like a candy bar but I can certainly drink chocolate milk and drink I do! It is one of my favorite treats and this chocolate milk from this store is phenomenal. I often go just to buy a chocolate milk! I also get my Thanksgiving turkeys from this store as they are cheaper than Safeway and they have a good selection. read more

Really love the convenience of the store location! This is pretty much the go to store for me because it's pretty much around the corner! The staff here is friendly, courteous and pretty darn helpful too! I love that I can use my rewards card from both Freddie's and OFC for the gas rewards. Being from Southern Cali, the whole gas/grocery combo is pretty awesome cause I didn't see many of those back home. I grew up going to QFC and when I was a kid -- they were the high end grocery store. They've kind of gone downhill when Kroger took over but they have specialty items that I can't find at other stores. They carry San Juan Island salsa which my husband loves and old school beverages that my husband also enjoys. Staff is friendly and their bakery (for the most part) has done a really good job for our family. They did our wedding cake (awesome job), my husband's birthday cake (they forgot the raspberry filling), and my son's 2nd birthday (another great job). I wish they weren't so far away so that I could get the salsa for my husband more often but perhaps it's good they're a ways away from us so that we don't play it out. I work down in the Northshore/Browns point area in Federal Way and run to QFC's deli for lunch, I am served with a nice smile and cheerful attitude by a nice young lady, her name is Desiree, she always says hello and is quick to help me, she knows what I want for lunch before I can even get it out of my mouth, and I only told her once, she has a good memory. This is my favorite QFC, friendly staff, great prices. My family shops here almost every day. I've never had an issue with the lighting as some reviewer mentioned, it's bright enough for me and I've never once thought it was dimly lit. If you're looking for fresh ingredients or specialty fresh milk and great prices this is the place. Ok so I dont usually write reviews but I'm still so disturbed by what happen the other day while with my young daughter at this store. I had come back into the store to get some hamburger meat that I had forgotton earlier, my 8yr old daughter had the little kid shopping cart with her, as we walk down the dog food aisle she starts to run down it, I tell her not to run & as she is ending her run she goes past an older gentleman employee, who was the only person on the aisle mind you& he says something towards my daughter with some aggression in his voice so I asked my daughter what did he say? This same man gets loud & hollers at me I told her not to run, well ok I said but she's my child& I can handle it & already have so thank you I said..he proceeds to tell me she doesn't need to run so I say got it& again she's my child & I've got it thank you I say again. He obviously didnt Luke me telling him that cause he followed us over to the meat section & says aggressively Um trying to protect my customers so I said ok but like I said I'm her parent& you don't need to put my child in her place, thank you I say again so he keeps on harassing me I'll tell her anything I want, at this point my back is facing him cause I'm trying to get him to leave us alone so I say I heard you already so you can shut your mouth now. He proceeds further with you shut your mouth, by now people are staring at us cause he's being pretty loud with me, I said ok dude keep it up, as I'm walking past him he makes it a point to make eye contact with me so I of course make eye contact back & I lost it a little bit& said keep it up prick I've had enough of you following me & my little girl. He follows us down the pasta aisle telling me I'm a terrible parent& oh yea real nice parent you are! Omg, this guy was relentless..I did complain to the manager but who knows if he really got talked to or not. I don't know about other parents but I feel its not any employees job to try to put anyone's child in their place, he was obviously personally offended by her running, she wasn't destroying product or anything destructive & she also stopped running when I told her too. He's an older gentleman, in his 60's with salt& pepper hair & glasses.. I did ask him his name which he aggressively hollered it as it spelt it out. Please family's who visit this QFC beware of this man especially around your children. This store isn't family friendly or kid friendly in my eyes anymore& I've been shopping here for over ten years. I have a specific beef with this store. Many times, probably 15 to 20, I've gone there about 5 or 6 pm to buy fried chicken, and they've been out, or didn't have enough for the 8-piece box, or didn't have anything but white meat pieces. I've complained to the management, both in person and online at their feedback site, and nothing has happened. I think they're hopeless. So if you want fried chicken, don't go there. I have never really shopped at a QFC because of the expensive prices BUT this store I started to go to out of convenience when I moved is probably the best I have been to for years. The staff is very friendly and always helpful (opposite of Twin Lakes Safeway) they do have good deals on sale items,they have a last chance section with stuff marked down cheap and get this- it actually scans for the marked down price unlike Safeways where I always end up paying full price for discounted items because the cashier doesn't pay attention to big orange 50% off.
