Hand pulled noodles were great. Such a simple dish, but was flavorful without being spicy. Great service or you can place your order with QR code at the table. The waiter suggested I try this dish. (I couldn't make up my mind.) This was a great choice. The veggies had a nice little crunch. The fish was so soft and tender that it just melted away in my mouth.

A delicious spot for Sichuan cuisine as well as hand-pulled noodles and other regional dishes. In line with the Sichuan cuisine style, many of their dishes do have a spice kick to them - the spiciest of what we tried being the boiled fish which was super flavorful and tender! The black pepper beef was also tender, rich in flavor and paired perfectly with the white rice. The beef skewers were slightly chewy for my taste but also packed with flavor. The hot chili oil noodles were thick, chewy and so satisfying to eat. The pan-fried pork buns were disappointing and the small amount of filling also missed the mark in terms of flavor compared to the other dishes so would skip next time. Service was okay in terms of speed and the restaurant itself is quite spacious which is great. They do accept online to-go orders which may also be a solid option.

The food was great! I came in with my friends before shopping at Lotte and we were seated immediately. The server brought us water and then gave us time to pick what we wanted. We didn't have to wait a long time for her to come back to place our orders even though they were busy. The food came out quickly and was very fresh. The portions were generous. It was amazing!! Will definitely be back.

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant we have tried since moving to Richmond. Inside is very clean and the food was very delicious! Must get their dumplings! In my opinion, their dumplings are better than Din Tai Fung. Absolutely will come back for more food in near future.

Stopped by for lunch in this newer place in a refurbished strip center. Decor was tasteful and space was ample. Menu offers many6 items of a more authentic style, compared to the "Americanized" versions so often seen. Today we were in a lighter mood, so we split a Mapo Tofu and soup dumplings. While the tofu was okay, I think they are already "dumbing it down" for the area, but after adding chili oil and crisps, it had some more flavor. A touch more Schezwan peppercorns would be nice also. The soup dumplings were probably the best I've had since Din Tai Fun; skin not too thick, but filled with succulent broth and savory filling. This alone is worth coming back for! Service was prompt and friendly, and owner/manager greeted us on the way out to make us feel appreciated.

New place for us as at the last moment we decided to switch from our usual to this delightful place. Our server asked us where we wanted to sit so we chose a booth. We were able to inquire from the server, named Dillon, which he preferred and he recommended the mapa tofu to share. We got soup dumplings which actually contained soup, wow! They were delicious and it has been a long moment since we enjoyed any. Clean place with many Asian customers; they offer quite a variety of dishes. Dumplings and hand pulled noodles as well other authentic Asian meals. The mapa tofu needed some crispy garlic sauce so that's why this restaurant is receiving 4 stars. We will return to this very clean restaurant!

Speaking as a Chinese person, this is a great Chinese spot that serves excellent dry pot and soup dumplings. It has a great variety of spicy and delicious options that's bound to satisfy your taste!

THE hand pulled noodle spot in RVA. The dumplings are also a must try. Food is fresh, tasty and at a great price.

Had a late lunch in this still-newish restaurant. What a great experience! We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the service was attentive and helpful the whole time we were there. I loved that the place was clean, bright, and modern looking, and the tables and booths were comfortable. The noise level was minimal, and conversation was easily heard. The food was beyond delicious. They were out of the scallion pancake, so next time we'll get there earlier! We knew we were over ordering, but everything looked so good we threw caution to the wind. We ordered soup dumplings, beef noodles, pork and shrimp dumplings, and Szechuan spicy dumplings in chili oil. Everything arrived as it was ready, as quickly as we could want. The soup dumplings had delicious broth inside, and the pork filling was perfect. The shrimp and pork dumplings had a lovely texture, with actual pieces of shrimp, and wrappers that were just the right thickness. The spicy dumplings were spicy and delicious too, but the star of the meal was the beef noodles, which were savory and chewy. I could eat them every day. Prices were right for the generous portions. If you can come with a larger group, the booths would seat six comfortably, and you could try even more dishes! But if you go alone, you don't have to share. Either way you win.

When we left around seven, there was a lot of people waiting to get in. It is definitely the one the best dumpling places in Richmond and we really enjoyed the noodles. Service was quite prompt. Do not go there expecting soup go to their cousins Mr. noodle. The only weird thing was they do not have tea yet I kinda expected at least hot tea and I was hoping for bubble tea check out these photos. We especially like the stirfry with pork belly and mushroom. We really like the meat on the stick which we believe they call Chinese barbecue. We wish we had more people with us so we could've tried more dishes, but we did go overboard a little bit.

Very clean and surprisingly spacious restaurant. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious; as I enjoyed the Shrimp stir fry with flat noodles and Scallion pancake. My husband and table of friends all had different meals but everyone gave high praise! Definitely going back to try more dishes.

    Sichuan spicy dumpling

BEST soup dumplings in Richmond, no contest!!! Other standouts include the lamb skewer, wonton soup, and black pepper beef noodle Also the service is excellent and the establishment is clean and comfortable. Will be returning!

To me, a great presentation and a beautiful atmosphere are wonderful, but at the end of the day? Nothing can replace pure, authentic flavor. Well, Fat Dragon in Virginia absolutely blew me away. From the second we walked in, the experience was seamless. We had a party of eight with no reservation, and they sat us immediately. The ambiance was great, the portions were incredibly generous, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and completely on top of their game. Drinks arrived fast, and the entire meal flowed beautifully without a single hitch. But let's get to the real highlight of the night: the Tsingtao beer-battered mushrooms. Oh my goodness, they were out of this world! Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and dusted with a spicy Sichuan cloud that made them completely irresistible. They were so good that even my father--who isn't a mushroom lover at all--couldn't stop eating them! For my main course, I had the Fei Lone steak, and it was absolutely sublime. Tender, perfectly prepared, and packed with flavor. If you appreciate amazing service, a great vibe, and food that actually delivers on taste, do yourself a favor and check out Fat Dragon. I'll definitely be thinking about those mushrooms for a long time!

The entryway is interesting and provides some shelter from the rain, allowing you to manage your umbrella before entering. We were seated within seconds, and our server, Liza, came by very promptly with some water for our table. I felt slightly anxious at first, being that we were in a cozy two-top amongst the fray, but it subsided quickly because everyone was respectful and reasonably quiet. We ordered the veggie spring rolls to start, and I had the Chinatown Ramen, and my partner had the Chicken Fried Noodles. The appetizer was hot, savory, and spicy with the duck sauce and hot mustard mixture. If you like milder sauce, do not mix it. The entrees came out within five or so minutes of the appetizers, which seemed quick for a busy night. The ramen was spicy, hot, and filling. I was only able to finish about half. We will be enjoying those leftovers tonight. My partner said that her noodles and chicken were well-seasoned and delicious, too. Looking around the restaurant, it is clear that they support the local LGBTQ+ community, and it is even labeled as a Safe Space on the beautifully manicured, makeshift chalkboard/menu/posting board. The clientele and staff alike seemed warm and kind, based solely on limited interactions and observation on my part. If you are looking for a traditional American-Chinese food restaurant (think buffet-style items), this is likely not the place for you. There were no mishaps or snafus with our orders. Liza performed her duties well, and I can surely recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't mind a mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine.

The restaurant serves Chinese food but I think it is an American version of Chinese food. It was a busy evening on that Friday, 20 June 2025. FOOD -- I ordered the Guandong Fried Rice ($10.50) which comes with peas, carrots, and egg. I added shrimp ($5.50) as my protein. A glass of water was also brought out for me. My friend ordered the basil chicken ($18.50) with a Maine Root Beer drink ($4.50). She loved her order. I enjoyed the Guandong Fried Rice with added shrimp. It wasn't overly rich in flavour. The mixture of the peas, carrots, and egg was a simple yet appetizing combination. There was a lot of food on my plate and I may have taken a to-go box home because I remember not being able to finish my dinner. Parking is street parking. Shared appetizer of the chili dumplings were also delightful. Lunch menu offers standardized specials, so the more conservative American palates will find many recognizable standards. The dinner menu is more expansive and features more authentic options. Our server today, Zoey, was both friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive without being overbearing. knew the menu well and was able to make recommendations. The manager, Bill, came by to check on us and we had a nice conversation where he explained that their head chef was originally trained in China and then came to New York before arriving here. The menu clearly reflects his influence. Of special note is their Chef's Special, a fixed price group menu featuring his selections of three appetizers and five main courses. This is similar to a Japanese sushi version of an omakase experience. We are looking forward to returning with some friends or family when they visit to take advantage of this! Definitely recommend this place to both Authentic Chinese food enthusiasts and non-adventurous diners alike as they have something for everyone. We will be back!

Not too doughy, and accompanied by two dipping sauces. The fish rolls were excellent. Light, crispy, with a savory fish filling. So satisfying. For entrees we got dry fried shredded chicken (so tasty and unique), shredded duck, and three pepper beef. The chicken was the star - crispy strip of chicken delicately seasoned.
