Valeria and her cleaning Company "QleanLA" was recommended to me by a friend of mine. After hiring them to clean my 1600 sf townhome in Irvine, I wished that he never gave me that recommendation. Here are just some of the things that went wrong or weren't as agreed to; The agreement was for one person to come and clean for about 4 hours, but on the day of the service, 2 people showed up without giving me any prior notice or heads-up. When I contacted the owner, Valeria, she said, "oh, they're a husband and wife team and will be very fast; I will give you a favorable rate, so don't worry about it..." My issue with this is that I would have preferred to be notified of this ahead of time. The cleaning itself wasn't too bad at first sight, I even gave them a tip when they were done, but regretted it almost immediately, and here is where the big problems were; The 2 cleaners threw away just about everything in their sight. My wife's and son's room, which I wasn't closely watching them clean, ended up missing dozens of items, many were just simply misplaced and moved (why? why not ask my permission?), but very many were THROWN AWAY or damaged. Things like remote controls to electronic devises, laser pointers, unopened tissues and wet sanitizing tissue/paper, books, brand new book marks, my son's toys drawings, sculptures, Playdough, pre-paid and unused gift cards, sea shells from various beaches around the world that we visited, bottled vitamins and much, much more. There were hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of loss here. I later spent hours digging through my trash pulling some of these things out, after I found out and realized what the cleaners did. My wife was out of town for 2 months prior to this and she wasn't there on the day of the cleaning and this was supposed to have been a nice surprise for her...to have the house nice and clean, but instead, she was extremely mad at me and upset when she came home as she couldn't find many of her things. Some of her make-up was thrown out too... she came back two days after the cleaners were here and we spent hours trying to find our thrown-out things. Toys, make-up, unopened food/juice bottles, headphones/small electronic devices, and so much more. I told the cleaners to clean the Fridge and put unopened/unexpired items back in. They threw EVERYTHING AWAY, nothing was placed back in the fridge. They took and carried out fresh salami, sausages, 1-day old milk, relatively new and fresh bottles of mustard, mayo, ketchup and so much more out of my fridge and into the trashcan. WHY?? I gave then specific instructions as to what to do, and even spoke in their native language, 'Russian', and they still didn't get it right. Hundreds of dollars of food was wasted by these guys. And here comes perhaps the worst part; My wife and I held back for weeks of not calling Valeria, but we finally called to complain, vent out our frustration and relay our dissatisfaction. And what does she do in response? She denies any wrong-doing, defends her cleaners, tells us that it's OUR FAULT for what happened and does not apologize. That's awful customer service. Not only did we not get an apology after this awful and stressful experience, but we got blamed for what happened! I was shocked. I feel that its important for anyone who hires this company in the future, to be aware of Valeria and her stance that she and her team de no wrong and that it's your fault as the consumer if you're unsatisfied and unhappy with her service. And be prepared to incur losses as many of your valuables could be thrown away, damaged or misplaced and that you won't be able to find your things for days, if at all. After spending $500 on her cleaning service, I lost over $1000 in the form of thrown away items, wasted food, misplaced things that took lots of valuable time in finding (lost time that could have been used for much better and happier activities) and time spent looking through my trash, trying to find things that not only shouldn't have been thrown away, but shouldn't even have been TOUCHED or MOVED. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for anyone who wants to hire QleanLA and Valeria for their next cleaning service. read more
