The reason I am giving them two stars is this it is more the fault of the product then the maids, but I think they should have been aware of the damage the products they are using could cause. Do NOT to use EASY OFF Heavy-Duty Oven Cleaner and make sure if you don't that no maid service you use does it can cause white spot stains on your stainless-steel stoves. read more

This was my first time hiring cleaners and I'm so thrilled! I was moving out of my friend's apartment and wanted to leave it fresh for the new roommate but I'm no good at deep cleaning so I hired Mint Maids. They left the place sparkling, were very nice to my yappy chihuahua who was worked up when they first arrived, and best of all they got out this horrible stubborn ring in the tub that we've never been able to scrub out. In short: My experience with Mint Maids was highly unprofessional, as they failed to show up for a confirmed morning appointment, neglected to ask for necessary information, and only responded with an afternoon offer after ignoring my calls and messages. Full review: I genuinely dislike leaving bad reviews, especially a 1-star review, but my experience with Mint Maids was simply unacceptable. I scheduled a cleaning with them two months in advance and specifically requested the cleaning be done before noon. Mint Maids confirmed that their team would arrive between 9-10 AM, and even asked me to remind them a week before the appointment, which I did. On the day of the cleaning, I asked them to have the cleaning team call me upon arrival. Surprisingly I was told that they didn't have my address. If I hadn't reached out, I wouldn't have even known they hadn't scheduled me in properly. Thankfully, I was able to find another cleaning service last minute that could accommodate me before noon. Only after numerous unanswered messages and calls did Mint Maids finally respond, offering to send a team in the afternoon. As a customer, I took the initiative to confirm my appointment twice. Shouldn't it be the business's responsibility to make sure they have all the necessary information when they confirm a customer's appointment? This experience was incredibly unprofessional. First, they were very communicative and offered a fixed quote based on my needs (a deep clean). Second, they were flexible with times. Third, the price was lower ultimately because I asked that they didn't clean the second bedroom. They cleaned some areas very well, especially the stove, microwave, and refrigerator. The organization made my desk look neat. However, I was disappointed by the deep cleaning of areas I had mentioned in my initial contact - the bathroom ceiling, the sinks in the bathroom and the kitchen. Perhaps they were simply unable to clean those parts, but those were the parts I needed cleaning the most. The ceiling is challenging, admittedly, because one would need a ladder or a long-reaching device, but that was one of the things I cited as needing cleaning, so I wish I'd known that it'd be something that couldn't be done. It looked exactly the same as it was before the cleaning. Even the bathroom window was still dirty and had cobwebs. The sinks still had some grout. I think I was just expecting a lot more for close to $400 with tip. Otherwise, the more superficial areas were fine. read more

The cleaners themselves were nice and brought everything they needed. The cleaning itself was thorough and comprehensive. They did a great job cleaning our oven and bathrooms! The reason they lost a star was because they were not able to get the hard water stains off our shower glass, minor misses in the cleaning, and they do not accept Venmo or PayPal. I second the reviews that mention poor scheduling communication - I scheduled an appointment, then an hour after they were supposed to show up I had to reach out and determine that they did not have my address. The cleaning was fine the first time but they send a different set of cleaners each visit and the second team did not leave the place clean. I had to ask them to vacuum uncleaned parts of our living room rug, our appliances were all left streaky and looking worse than before they cleaned, multiple surfaces were not wiped down, and I had to clean up the cleaners footprints from the floor after they departed. I understand if an inexpensive cleaning was not thorough, but they are very expensive for an unreliable service. Edit to add: The owner of the business offered to give me a refund if I changed my review to 5 stars. I chose this cleaning company because of the high yelp reviews but now I wonder if they are high for this reason. My husband and I would not recommend this service. We booked an appointment a week in advance and were told that the cleaners would arrive between 1 and 2pm. By2:15pm no one showed up. I called and spoke to someone I believe is the owner and he said he would call me back within 5 minutes to see what happened and after 20 minutes of not hearing from him, I called back and got voicemail. The owner did end up calling back offering us 'compensation' but why we went with this company is said they were reliable. We don't want their compensation, just a reliable service. I scheduled a deep clean with this company based on all the positive reviews and am very disappointed with the job they did. I wouldn't even consider the service I received a light cleaning. I paid almost $300 and there was not one area that they did a complete job. I did a quick walkthrough as they were waiting holding their bags and things looked ok, but as I have gone through the house, I have had to clean all areas. They didn't dust bookshelves, doors, baseboards. There were handprints on cabinets that didn't get wiped. They didn't vacuum cobwebs, didn't vacuum bathroom fans. They cleaned windows (not well, they left streaks) but they didn't even wipe down the windowsills. They didn't clean the shutters. They cleaned mirrors but didn't wipe the frames of the mirrors. I asked for the oven to be cleaned, which they did, but they didn't clean grease on the oven door handle. One of the toilets had a contact lens on the tank that easily came off with a lysol wipe, so they apparently didn't wipe the toilets. The shower had dried up shampoo on the wall that I was able to remove by just wiping with a wet paper towel, so it seems they didn't wipe the shower either. They did wash the floors. None of the areas that they worked on can be considered to have been deep cleaned. I would not recommend this service. read more

I've been always wanting to get my place deep cleaned for some time and decided to take the plunge while my husband went away for a golf trip! Mike was quick at responding to my inquiry gave me a quote and information on what to expect from his crew and was booked! It was my first time having cleaners come into my apartment which was awkward at first, but they meant business so once entering they put their shoe covers on and got right to work! I basically walked them through the apartment. The time frame of the service is communicated in the booking so I confirmed it with them and left them to do their thing. I left to do errands and was stuck in traffic heading back and was about 25 minutes late, however, the ladies were patient and I was not charged for the tardiness which was a nice surprise. They made my life a lot easier and I was so happy with the results! Everything was spotless. The only thing I wished that I have done was pointed out some things I wanted clean cause they're not obvious, but that was on me. So when doing the walkthrough be specific on the areas or item to be cleaned (which was my own fault). All in all will book again! read more
