I was beyond excited to finally have a cute Boba place open up in Sherman Oaks and it 'WAS' good when it first opened. Then that changed. Not sure if it's changed ownership? but I've given em at LEAST 3 chances to redeem themselves and it's been a no go. As a boba lover, whenever I try a new place I always start with the basics like milk tea or an earl grey milk tea. If a shop can't get those right, it's usually downhill from there. And that's what I'veI tried. Each time the result was so watered down and tasteless, I either let them remake it for me (which still never turned out right) or it went straight into the trash (goodbye $). It's really sad because I believe the new owner, a younger guy, seems VERY VERY nice and really wants to make your drink right but he needs help running the shop AND, more importantly, help finessing the recipes so they taste right. Ordered 3 drinks here: Earl Grey Milk Tea with Boba, Winter Melon Milk Tea with Lychee star jelly, and Winter Melon Milk Tea with Boba. They have two machines that you can order on which I like because it's easy and you can see all the pictures! There was only one girl there making drinks and I believe the tea brewing machine they have was slowing her down. It took 40 minutes to get three drinks and someone who ordered after us got their drink before us. Unfortunately they ran out of boba, so one of the two drinks had to have a different topping. The one that did get boba only got about 1/4 of a scoop and it was the old last of the batch so it wasn't the best. As far as drinks, the winter melon MT 70% sweet was good but not the best. She made both drinks at the same time and one drink had way less of the tea so she added ice to make it look the same . The earl grey tasted watered down and had melted ice. Overall not terrible but just not that good and it's unfortunate that they are understaffed. read more

This is the best boba spot in the Valley by far, with so many options to choose from. The customer service is excellent--they greet you as soon as you walk in and make your drink right away. I just moved to the area and have tried this place three different times hoping it would be good, but honestly it has been worse every time. The biggest problem is the boba. Each time the pearls have tasted old and extremely chewy like they have been sitting way too long. The last time I went they were literally all stuck together in one giant blob at the bottom of the cup. I even took a video because I couldn't believe it. Boba is supposed to be soft and separate, not clumped together like a big mass. Old boba is not just unpleasant to drink. When tapioca pearls sit too long they get hard and overly chewy and can even become a food safety concern if they are not being made fresh and rotated properly. The tea itself also tasted very cheap and more like flavored syrups than actual quality brewed tea. I really wanted to like this place since I just moved to the area, but after giving it three chances and the boba getting worse each time, I definitely will not be coming back. read more

I wanted something cool to drink since it was pretty warm out, so I ordered a strawberry banana slushy. My daughter ordered a strawberry peach slushy with strawberry jellies. The best brown sugar milk tea. Idk what milk base they use but it tastes like a combination of almond milk and half n half. Or maybe it was the brown sugar that made it tasted so good. The only thing I didn't like is all that foam on top. If you wait a few minutes to drink yoir drink. You are missing 1/4 of yoir drink once the foam settles. Small boba shop that I found when I was craving my weekend Vietnamese coffee. I don't know what came over me to order a Vietnamese coffee with light ice. Vietnamese coffee is supposed to come with ice and you let it melt for a bit so it dilutes it. Anyway, my coffee was strong and rich, which is great, but I was like, dang I should not have said light ice. The unique thing about getting Vietnamese coffee from a boba shop - you get to add toppings! With creamy drinks, I like to get egg pudding. The service was friendly and fast, and they had these cute boba-themed stickers for free! I found street parking right in front. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte and my boyfriend ordered a peach lychee black tea. My matcha was flavorless and thin aside from the clumps of unmixed powder coming up the straw. QTea boba is pretty good considering that this area of the SFV is basically lacking boba options that are good in the area (or maybe I've yet to find them?). I enjoyed the service, the baristas were all very friendly and tenative. They are also always willing to give a suggestion if you want to try something new. Parking can be a bit tricky if the lot behind the building is full but it's honestly worth making the effort if you're within a 10min driving distance. Price point is very fair, especially for the quality. I appreciate the kiosk order option as well as their option to order at the counter. The decor is cute and a vibe. I have visited with some friends and we had some light chats or came to discuss our BOTM. Good spot to study for an hour or less but certainly not for overly large groups. read more

I went in to try this place out while in the area and had a Matcha boba and strawberry waffle snack. Boba drink that was advertised as $5.50 on menu and Strawberry waffle at $5.00. Total came out to $16.51 and asked for a receipt from machine, but didn't get it. It didn't make sense, but I was busy on a meeting on my phone and didn't notice at the time. My Husband came to join me and come in for a drink. He ordered the Vietnamese coffee, against advertised at $5.50 and his order was $9.99. He just paid it and didn't notice but didn't grab receipt. After we left I noticed charges and was confused. I had planned to call them and we were busy afterwards so lost track before they closed. The next morning I noticed we were charged 2 separate fees in addition to the already overcharged amount! I called several times as they opened to speak with someone and was told manager wasn't in yet and finally got through a few hours later. I explained the situation and issue with charges and asked for a breakdown. I was told the syrup was an extra charge, and the foam on my husbands was extra and so on. It was crazy, but when I asked about the extra charges he said that was strange but couldn't look up on machine and that I should reach out to my bank. I should have read thru other reviews before my purchase to make sure what I was charged. I did see they charged a % for using a card, but that was already included. It wasn't to be charged after and he claimed it could have been a tip, but we didn't include a tip in the first place. Very shady practices and many people have already had issues. Use caution when ordering. I'm sure they get many people this way and rack up on adding charges to cards. Fraudulent activity that made me even have to cancel my card to get a new one. Such a hassle to deal with and so much time to deal with this issue between them and calling bank to dispute. Reporting it now to the BBB and FTC so they stop now after multiple reports. I would have gladly returned here for a drink, but it's the principle and unfair business practices. People work too hard for their money to be scammed and it's sad to see how many locals and families come in/out and are probably being scammed too. BE CAUTIOUS! Cute and cozy boba shop with a wide variety of drinks to choose from. I absolutely love their slushies and smoothies! The first time I came, I ordered a mango strawberry slushy with lychee topping, and it was so delicious. The next time I stopped by, I tried their strawberry banana smoothie, which was also really tasty, refreshing, and energizing! I ordered my drinks at 75% sweetness, and it was perfect for me. The interior is very clean and peaceful, with a few areas to sit. The photo wall is definitely one of the highlights--a perfect backdrop for drink photos, and also just nice to relax next to. Terrible food and service. We waited for 50 minutes for 3 teas and two waffles. My friends and I all got 3 different drinks and they were terrible. Mine came with no ice for no reason.
