This is one of 2 boba spots close to me! It's located at NoHo West. It shares a parking lot with Trader Joe's so it can get busy. Not to be basic, but their Thai ice tea is one of my favorites so is their coffee milk tea. My nephew loves their smoothies so we sometimes get their cookies and cream one. They also have açaí bowls for those who want more than just a drink. Their rewards program used to be a physical stamp card, but I think it's now an app. read more

I have come this Boba location multiple times but this was my first time dining in. My son was visiting me and his favorite thing is a Boba tea and since it was right next door to Crumble, I thought why not. So when we walked in, we were not greeted at all, I usually call in my order and walk up to the counter and they greet you, but not this time. I had to find my way to the computer monitor and place my order there, which only takes a card by the way. After placing my order, it gave me a number (77) and told me to be seated and wait for my number to be called. The place was clean, there were others waiting and there was a nice flow of ambiatic music playing until...and this is where it turns...all of a sudden there was a music coming from the kitchen area that was cranked up louder than the restaurant music and it was not appropriate for all audiences and it seem to be aimed at a certain audience because they kept turning it higher at certain places in the song and the artist playing was Asap Rocky. This artist does trap, boom bap, experimental and other music, which again is not appropriate which his lyrics contain profanity and sometimes sexually explicit music - not okay. Made me feel uncomfortable. My drinks however, were fire and I would love to return to this location for another but I will pass, there are other locations closer and more respectful. I come here often come here because it's in my neighborhood. I like to shop in my community!! Every time I come here it's a problem with the people that work there. They are not helpful. They're not friendly. They ignore you when you have a question like you're bothering them. Their menu offers something, but it's not on the kiosk, that option is not there!! so I asked them kindly about it. Everybody's giving me the cold shoulder. But I literally had to order it with the person at the register just to get that option, which doesn't make any sense. I don't like being treated like crap when I spend my money at a business. Overall Experience: Boba Time has great boba and a ton of variety in terms of boba drinks. I wouldn't say it's the best boba spot, but there's a lot around Los Angeles. The only minus is I wish they use more fruits in their fruit drinks and less syrup. Drinks: Tons of variety and my favorite two are the Strawberry Coconut and Thai Smoothie. You can start with the top flavors. Portion Size: Pretty Standard. I do see they have an extra large size but generally Large is the way to go. Service: It's okay. Doesn't really stand out in any way but they make the drinks and call your number. Ambiance: Nice store. Generally people are taking the drinks to-go. I think it's a little loud to stay inside and chill with friends. Parking Situation: Parking can get pretty busy but it'll open up as long as you wait. My wife and I stopped by here tonight to get a drink after grabbing dinner next door. They were busy when we came and had a lot of people inside just relaxing. They have a kiosk machine here for you to put in your order or if they aren't busy a worker will take your order. When we came, a worker took our order. I got a regular size green apple slush and my wife got a mango slush. It didn't take them long to make our drink and once it was ready, we drank our drinks inside of the place. My roommate tends to alternate between Thai tea, smoothies, and Thai tea smoothies with Oreo blended in. The past couple times that we have ordered on DoorDash, my order has been completely wrong, and my roommates has always been the Oreo Thai tea smoothie, even when the regular Thai tea smoothie without Oreo was ordered. Tonight I went in person, deciding that I actually wanted one of those Oreo Thai tea smoothies. After asking me 4×2 repeat my order, each time bit by bit, the cashier tells me that they don't do that here. I was a bit confused and told her that we have gotten it many many times, both accidentally and intentionally. I then pointed out that was one of the add-ons you can pay for it, but she's still insisted that she would not blend Oreos into my drink, even with the paid Oreo add-on. I left because I didn't feel like arguing and the cashier was making it clear she would NOT be making my drink. I'd been thinking about and looking forward to it all day, though, so I went back to my car and ordered it on DoorDash, extra boba. It arrived as a deeply watered down Oreo thai tea with extra ice, no boba. lol. The only part that they got right was literally the part they said they could not do. I ordered a mango/peach smoothie with a little boba and my daughter got a matcha mango smoothie with regular boba. We waited about 10 mins for our drinks since they were slammed with online orders. Finally got our smoothies and gotta say they were good but not very thick or cold like I was craving. I put mine in the freezer as soon as I got home to thicken it. The filling was so good. we went on the weekend, so there was some long lines. Wait was not to bad though. The parking however, was terrible. Five people limit inside and they have plexiglass for protection. The menu to me was so overwhelming, so many drinks. Once you order you stand outside and the call your number. I tried other drinks before but always come back to order pistachio frappe. Got it with boba and without boba several times. I personally like it without boba.
