(Not to mention the 2 drink minimum. ) So we were quite late getting to 10. (Enter the aforementioned Marshalls) No drink cart on this beautiful sunny, crowded day. Gerome, Patrick, Sophie, Gabby, and so many others that I ran into over the 3 days really knew how to make us feel at home. The course was in great shape, even after a hailstorm 4" of rain the previous day! I also forgot my range finder and called them up later that night and they had it at the front desk for me, such a relief too cause mines expensive, as most are. Lastly, the food was excellent in the restaurant, we got the steak dip with sweet potato fries, and you get the best view ever while eating there (see pic). Early Summer tee times begin at 6:30 am and fill quickly I have never had a golf ball land in a fairway divot or claim an awkward lie in one of the many fairway or green-side bunkers, and no other Course in Albuquerque can make that boast After a fairly rugged up hill climb several downhill par fives allow one to reach in two shots !! I went again because my grandparents are members and I will say that the food was better this time around although nothing great. I had the filet mignon which was accompanied by mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. I ordered the steak rare plus, and it came closer to medium. The sauce over the steak was not great and overpowered the flavor of the beef. The grilled zucchini was very good though, but the mashed potatoes were bad. I ordered a Manhattan which was pretty good although a bit too sweet for my liking, and the maraschino cherry was gross. The staff claim that the problem is due to a lack of rain and salty water used for watering. They apparently are looking for a new superintendent, but it's more work than that. They need an expert agronomist to help and spend some money. This could be a real gem with some work. Hope they get ths course up to par. They have a restaurant but no one working, but have 4 staff members in the pro shop socializing. Need some leadership there as well.
