Joanne in the office is an angel. She's a great person. Richard the owner is a character, but that's not a bad thing. He has personality and is a good guy. The shop is filled with a bunch of hard workers who do good, quality work on each job. They know their stuff about auto-body work. Rich said he's doing this for over 20 years, that says a lot. I continue to be impressed by Richard and his team at Quality Auto Painting & Body. Third time is the charm to FINALLY write the review they've been deserving for years now. August 2015: While traveling cross country, my car was hit while parked on the streets of the big apple and wasn't drivable. EEK! I was told about Quality Auto by my insurance company and had my car towed there. While I sorted out another way back home to CA, Richard took care of my car expertly. When I reached out for updates, he and Joanne were there for me and kept my mind at ease. The damage was immense, nearly totaled(!!!) but my stress level stayed low. Quality took care of communicating with my insurance company and before I knew it I was flying back to NYC to drive my baby away, like new. February 2016: During a VERY COLD (-1 degrees) Valentine's Day visit in NYC, I drove downtown and parked to have breakfast with a friend. An hour later when leaving the parking spot, the power steering went out. Completely manual, completely unsafe to drive. I had the car towed to NJ to a friend of a friend's shop who quoted a really high price to fix and I didn't feel confident the work would be done well. After a second location in Jersey who said flat out they couldn't fix it, I came to my senses; QUALITY AUTO, all the way. Why go anywhere else??? In the hands of Richard and his team, he assessed the issue and recommended working with Ford directly. Quality worked with Ford directly, got it towed up to a Ford location they trust and my car was back in working order in no time. And for HALF the quote I was originally given out in Jersey. February 2018: Here I am, now a New York resident, again with my CA car in tow (not literally towed this time). After 10 amazing years together, and a move across the country, it was time to trade my baby in for a new ride. So who do I go to to make sure she looks her best? Quality Auto Painting & Body, duh. I worked with Richard directly to look around the car and decide how much to invest in fixing her up for a trade in, without spending more than I'd get for her! This shop is NOT interested in making a buck if the work isn't necessary. Richard is more interested in telling it like it is, giving realistic options to his customers, and often talks himself OUT of work rather than scamming people to spend more than they need to. I don't know about you, but I am SO THANKFUL to have found a shop that's honest, fair & communicative. Thanks Richard, Joanne and the whole team for being so stellar! After a minor accident I took my car here for repairs. The owner was very professional as the staff. They worked quickly and I had my car back in no time. My car looks brand new they did an awesome job. Also when I left my a.c started sounding a little funny they told me to bring it back they checked it the motor out and found leaves inside it... He didn't charge me for it. He didn't have to do that but he went above and beyond... My Ac is perfect now. I really recommend this place to Anyone! 5 star service! Thank you! read more

I took my Cadillac SRX into Quality after it had been hit while parking. This was one of the places my insurance company recommended, and after checking the reviews I felt this was the place. It was a phenomenal experience. One thing I appreciate is the paperwork was simple and in plain English, not a bunch of lawyer speak. Richard did an incredible job with my cat. Eric, who I had contact with throughout the process, was communicative, responsive, professional and courteous. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, he was a great advocate for me as I navigated the insurance process. I live in Massachusetts and was rear-ended in the Bronx. GEICO towed the car to Quality and then totalled the car (10 yrs old). By that time I was back home and couldn't get there before GEICO came to tow it away. Richard was extremely gracious, cleared out and and held my stuff for 2 weeks until I could get someone to pick it all up. Fabulous service, and he refused payment for his time. I'm going to start by saying that, "The work at this place is Quality work." But, the B/S and inflated prices you have to put up with from Richard gives this place a bad grade. I received a quote from someone besides Richard of $450.00 to fix the right fender, and when I dropped it off, Richard has the nerve to say, "I would've charged you more." That alone made me think twice to come back to this place. So after the winter my rocker panel needed some work, so I went to Richard and was quoted at $975.00, I said fine, and made an appointment for the next day to drop it off. I didn't make it on the scheduled time, and Richard say, "Come back tomorrow, I have to many clients right now." I was shocked and unpleased. I guess I wasn't a client. Lol. I guess that was a blessing in disguse. I ended up going to P and N Towing Collision and Paint, and was quoted $450.00 for the same work, and quicker. Please don't put up with the non-sense and show that Richard puts on. Him and his shop are no good. read more
