For that reason, I usually tend to avoid liquor based drinks because they're usually on the light side with a very mixer-forward pour. However, this little bar tucked away in Harry Potter world serves a drink that's well worth your time & money. While they offer draft & canned beer, wine & non alcoholic beverages, the real star here is the Lobe Blaster. This dangerous, yet delicious, drink is a mix of moonshine, limoncello, absinthe & has an emulsion verte floater; it sure does the trick. It's mixed with lemon juice, club soda & simple syrup so it's super refreshing also. The rosemary gives it a nice aromatic profile as you drink it. The bartenders were really nice & they fully play into the theme. There wasn't too big of a line when I went but the drinks are poured to order so it takes a little bit of time. As long as it's under 20 minutes, I'd be okay with waiting. I found for the price point, this drink is by far the best tasting & strongest drink in Epic Universe. In fact, I've never had a drink this good (or strong) at any theme park. If you're in Epic Universe & seeking out a delicious adult beverage then look no further than Bar Moonshine.

What it gets right: - Well-made cocktails, including classics and creative originals. We enjoyed the Philosopher's Old Fashioned and the Fleur 75. I like an Old Fashioned where I can taste the bourbon, which was the case here. It could be improved by using a single large ice cube, particularly in the Florida sun, where the cubed ice could dilute the drink too quickly. Went back through to try their saison, which is brewed by a local Orlando brewery. It was a bit tangier than prefer, but was refreshing on a sweltering day. - Friendly service. The bartenders were that happiest and most engaging employees we met. - A large-mirrored bar featuring its many selections, usually with some art deco or other architectural feature. - An overall upscale feel. The overall atmosphere is somewhat diminished by the nostalgic aspect of the American Quidditch team pennants adorning the bar. Usually such overt displays of Americanism are avoided, instead letting the craft and level of service speak for itself, but without it it might not feel very 'wizard-y' so I'll look past it. What it gets wrong: - I lived in Europe for several years and have been many of the so-called "American bars", including some quite well-regarded and famous ones. What's missing here is the intent. Universal reminds you that you're at a theme park by turning this into a quick-service location. I get that Universal probably doesn't want to make a session bar in its theme park, in part because they probably don't want to encourage consumption of multiple drinks in quick succession (though I did do that here) before people go on thrill rides. That's fair. But in doing what they've done here, they betray the intent of the American Bar. The American bars of Europe are not road-side stops. They're session locations you hit up before or after dinner or the theater. It's almost better if Universal hadn't even made it, because they created a place where you want to spend some time, but can't. Still, probably the best cocktail in any theme park, and better than most standard American restaurants too, and at surprisingly reasonable prices.

It's a quick service dining location. As soon as you enter Daigon Alley, if you take the right path, you'll find it next to the entertainment section where Tales of the Beedle Bard usually plays. The hopping pot offers a wide range of drinks and food items. The line is usually quick too. My mom and I waited about 15 minutes both times that we stopped by the Hopping pot! Some of the drinks on the menu include Butterbeer (Shortbread & Butterscotch) Frozen Butterbeer (Shortbread & Butterscotch) Hot Butterbeer (Shortbread & Butterscotch) Otter's Fizzy Orange Juice (Orange flavor with vanilla and cinnamon) Pumpkin Juice and so much more! Food items are limited, but if you're looking for a small bite to eat, The Hopping Pot does offer Pasties such as Beef Pasty, Chicken Pasty, and even a Shepherds Pasty Pie! The kimchi added a delightful crunch. And I crushed this thing while waiting on line for the carousel. They have bar seating all around, and there's more seating behind the main bar right along the water. It's pretty sweet. Of course, if you want a beer you can get the classic Duff Beer from the Simpsons world. They serve a few basic food items like corn dogs and pretzels and chips. The pretzels are really popular and probably the one thing worth having- everything bagel seasoning and made fresh. But the best part of this place is the staff. The gal helping us was so nice and pleasant and thoughtful. Stopping here made the Simpson section a little bit better in my eyes.

This is the only quick service location and gift shop at the resort. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner items as well as selling Disney merchandise, prepackaged food items, prepackaged drinks and liquor and beer/wine. The merchandise side is in the front, where most people enter and is rather small for a resort gift shop. There were a few items with the resort name but not really what we wanted. We were looking for a shot glass or magnet but they did not have that. They also sell Disney pins, a few tee-shirts, a few toys and other things. It was limited but had a decent amount of stuff. I was just personally surprised with the limited items for sale. Food wise they offered some pre-made sandwiches, salads, they had pre-packaged food items such as bread and jelly, cereal, things like that. Some of the rooms at the resort do have a small kitchen so having those items to buy was a very nice touch. Hot food was typical Disney food with mickey waffle, breakfast sandwiches and such. We pretty much ate breakfast here. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which came on a bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. It was also served with potatoes. It was really good, I would have preferred a croissant option but they only had the the bagel. My wife ordered a kids meal which came with 2 mickey waffles, sausage and grapes. They are your typical mickey waffles and were good. Everything here is to go only. There are no tables inside however, there is a solarium across from them. In there, which we did not discover until the last day, they had lots of tables to sit at. I would have preferred for the cast members to tell us, I guess they just assumed everyone went back to the room. But overall this is a good stop if you are staying at the resort. Should you make a special trip here, no, but definitely check it out if you are staying. ACES!

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner items. It is not fancy, but has your typical Disney items. It is also unique in that it also partners with the Beach Club gift shop. You can purchase food here but also merchandise. For the merchandise side, they have a few Beach Club specific items as well as Disney items such as pins, tee-shirts, jackets, magnets, toys and such. It is not the largest selection of items but it had a decent variety. I was really wanting to get something that said Beach Club but unfortunately their options were limited. I would have loved a shot glass or coffee cup that specifically said Beach Club but they really only had ornaments and shirts. They also offered bottles of liquor, bottles of wine, cases of beer and some simple grocery items. I did think that was nice for families to make some simple items. Some of the rooms at Beach Club have a small kitchen area. They also sell the reusable cups you can purchase for your stay and refill. I like these cups but I don't. You have to come back to the marketplace every time you want a refill, they do not work in the park even though they should! For food, we ate breakfast here. They had breakfast sandwiches, mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, pretty consistent with Disney breakfast. It was pretty good for quick service. For lunch and dinner they offered some hot items such as burgers and chicken sandwiches, but also had pre made cold sandwiches and salads all ready to grab and go. Overall this was a great stop. My only issue is everything is to go. There are no tables here. We ate in our room one day and the lobby the other day. We did see on our check out day, they have a solarium across from the marketplace. In there they had a bunch of tables and chairs in there. I guess that is where you can go to eat. I think the cast members could have said something to us to let us know. But this is a really good stop, they do not have tons of options but what they do have was really good. I would go back for sure. If you are staying here I would recommend checking it out.
