Butterbeer is one of my favorite drinks! The only time I can get the original Butterbeer is at Universal Studios! The Hopping Pot is located in Daigon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. It's a quick service dining location. As soon as you enter Daigon Alley, if you take the right path, you'll find it next to the entertainment section where Tales of the Beedle Bard usually plays. The hopping pot offers a wide range of drinks and food items. The line is usually quick too. My mom and I waited about 15 minutes both times that we stopped by the Hopping pot! I got the beef pasties at the hopping pot. They were really good, just a bit salty. I suppose they want you to buy a drink with it. It's located in Harry Potter World so it is highly themed which was nice! There was quite a line but it went quickly and the service was polite. Any place that has butterbeer is a good place for me! We were craving this every time treat we have in the Wizarding World. What got our attention though was that they also have a good selection of brews. I was wondering what the abvs were on each one so I looked it up. Here they are! I liked The Hopping Pot so much I went four times while in Diagon Alley over a few days. I tried a variety of their non-alcoholic drinks and all tasted very good. They do have a couple of Harry Potter beers on draft here, too if that's your thing. You can usually find a shorter line here for butterbeer than some of the other stands and restaurants. The Hopping Pot has just a few picnic tables for seating so you could end up carrying your drink around the park instead of leisurely sipping while sitting. Non-Alcoholic Drinks I tried - Butterbeer $4.99 - Tasty like a giant butterscotch drink. Frozen Butterbeer $5.99 - Tastes the same as the regular version but even better! That's right, frozen butterbeer is the way to go if you can only try the drink one way. Pumpkin Juice $4.49 - I heard others in line saying this drink was gross but I loved it! I found it delicious and refreshing. Otter's Fizzy Orange Juice $5.32 - Nightmare drink! It's tasty but incredibly messy. It comes rimmed with cinnamon along the top of the cup which adds good flavor but is so sticky, gets everywhere, stained my clothes, got my hands all gross. Ugh! I wouldn't recommend this drink unless you plan on just sitting down and drinking it....then immediately washing your hands after sitting. Fishy Green Ale $4.99 - Boba tea! The drink tastes minty with blueberry bobas meant to look like fish eggs. Beers - Wizard's Brew $7.99 - Dark stout with chocolate notes that pleased this beer chick. If you're looking for a dark craft brew while in the park, this should fit the bill and it's quite good! This beer (along with the Dragon Scale) is made exclusively for Harry Potter fans at Universal by the Florida Beer Company Dragon Scale $7.99 - This a very solid craft Vienna Lager. I preferred Wizard's Brew but then I'm not much for lagers. And butterbeer ice cream ($5.49) - Wonderful creamy version of that butterscotchy flavor we've all come to love.The portion is big! Too large for lil'ol' me to finish. All staff was very friendly and quick to serve, they also seemed to handle the very busy times in an organized fashion. How awesome is this place! Just being able to sit on the benches here and take all the surroundings in, any Harry Potter fan would be floating with glee and excitement. I truly felt like I was in Diagon Alley, all part of the Wizarding World, with a FROZEN BUTTER BEER ($5.99) in hand as my eyes feasted on all there was to see. It's nicely situated in a corner but not secluded enough to be away from all the action. There's no shade where the tables are which would be my complaint, and the staff taking orders at the counter are not as friendly as I expected them to be. Good thing the frozen butter beer was such a treat that everyone in the family was in high spirits. If we weren't rushed to order, I would've decided on trying the BUTTER BEER ICE CREAM, too. So a few things that I was not happy about. Lines are extremely long and worker's are extremely slow. The prices for snack food items are ridiculous and what you see is not what you get.
