a hamburger and a drink on a table

Look, it's a McDonald's review in 2023 so obviously adjust your expectations - but this location has a ton going for it. - brand new! At least for now it's nice and shiny and clean and new! - it's got an indoor play place?!? That seems to be a unicorn these days but this location has it! - plenty of parking and a double drive through. This location gets crazy busy but they do seem to get the line moving. Big negative is no self-serve drink refills and you can only order at the kiosks unless you beg and convince someone you can only pay cash.

    Raw mushy cold meat.

The food was subpar at best (except the fries, those were great but honestly how do you mess up fries). The burgers were dry, very salty, and more burnt around the edges than a smash burger should be. If you're between Freddy's or Culver's, always choose Culver's.

After my visit I can confirm: that's exactly right. Let's start with the good, because some of it is genuinely great. The space is clean and well maintained, with staff actively clearing and resetting tables at an impressive pace. For a fast casual concept, the fact that food is brought directly to your table is a thoughtful touch that elevates the experience above its category. And then there are the fries. My stomach is practically rumbling typing this. Freshly fried, crispy and golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served piping hot. They're genuinely hard to compare to anything else -- unique enough to stand on their own. If Chicken Guy sold only fries, I'd be a loyal regular. The chicken, though -- the whole reason for the name -- left me with questions. Hot and fresh, absolutely. But the interior had a wateriness that crossed from "juicy" into something that actually diluted the flavor. Combined with a sweet and sour sauce so thin it refused to cling to the tenders, the whole thing fell a little flat. I found myself wondering whether the chicken had been moisture-injected, because it tasted more hydrated than flavorful. In the Orlando heat that might technically be a feature -- but a good tender should be able to stand on its own before the sauce ever enters the picture. I'd return -- the fries alone make it worth it. But I'd experiment with a different sauce and temper expectations on the chicken itself.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there are a lot of choices to pick from on the menu. The interior is pretty large with a lot of seating areas both inside and outside. Inside is definitely preferred in the Florida heat. There are two drink stations with fountain sodas you can refill, but it's just standard Coke products and not a Coke freestyle machine. We had one order of the grilled strips and one order of the crispy strips. We also had the french fries, and we tried the bourbon BBQ sauce and the seasonal "korean spicy" sauce. The chicken strips were good. The grilled strips were a bit on the dry side, but they were a lighter choice versus the crispy ones. I appreciate that they have the grilled option for a lighter option. The fries had a light seasoning on them and were fairly standard french fries. We had heard that the sauces are the highlight here, and they were - OK. The bourbon sauce definitely had a punch of bourbon flavor, and the korean sauce definitely had that unique spicy korean flavor. They were a bit on the runny side, though, and I would've preferred a thicker sauce. Overall this was a decent meal, but it fell a bit short of expectations.

Service was quick during the time I came (2pm) Casual ambiance. Priced reasonably for a meal at a Disney location. We were SO excited to try this place thanks to all the influencer raving and thinking (incorrectly)…read morethat it was a Michelin Star restaurant. I sincerely hate being a hater and I wanted nothing more than to love this place but...well, here are my thoughts. Chaos - The entire place feels chaotic and stressful. You wait in line to order (totally fine), but are not allowed to find a table until after you've ordered. Literally, no one else eating there pays attention to this so by the time you get your order in, finding a table feels like the Hunger Games with people already camping on spots. Once you find one, it's just a sea of people hovering by tables trying to snag one. The ordering line also lets you out right at the entrance/exit to the kitchen, so you're stuck standing there looking for a table while servers are cutting in and out of you. It might be the worst laid out restaurant I've ever seen, so high five for that? The other weird part about the tables is they all say "Reserved" on them. I watched, no joke, 5 different people get upset that there were no un-reserved tables and when they asked staff, they all had the same cheesy line "oh it's reserved for you!". I don't know if it's a failed gimmick or just a huge whiff, but...yea. Food - It's all supposedly cook to order, but it's very clear they are just mass prepping it and sticking it under food lamps because our food came out luke-warm at best. I have a feeling the fries might have been good if they were hot, but they clearly had been sitting all alone waiting to meet us for a while. Here's the part that broke my heart, though. The brisket. I was SO excited for the brisket...and it disappointed...hard. It was dry, sliced way too thin, cold, and it lacked any meaningful flavor. They have some sort of coffee rub they put on it that tasted...ugh, I have to say it...terrible. It had a liquid smoke type fake taste to it. 0/10 on the brisket. Michelin - They tout the Michelin thing pretty hard but in case you're wondering, the place does NOT have a Michelin star. It is just a "Michelin recommended" spot. I would LOVE to meet whoever the rep was from Michelin who ate here and said, "OMG YASSSS! RECOMMEND!", because I'd love to see them say it with a straight face. Look, I know it sounds like I'm being hard here, but it really was a chaotic, flavorless experience. It was my birthday, and my wife brought me here as a treat. Even though I told her she did nothing wrong, she spent the rest of the day apologizing for the experience. Bonus! The sauces are weirdly unbalanced, finding ketchup is an adventure, and the mixed drinks were meh. BUT! My wife said the cornbread was good.

Coming from NYC I do have very high standards for Korean food so it's important that I keep that context when writing this review. We arrived here on a Saturday night in February looking for some good eats after a long day at the parks. We ordered at the counter ramen chicken wings (one butter one) and fries. There wasn't much of a line and the shop is mostly self serve with utensils and water in the back, with a very casual vibe. Our food came out within 15-20 mins or so staring with the wings. I think these chicken wings are very hit or miss depending on your preferences. There was a lot of sauce on these wings so if that is something you like, it definitely hits the spot. However compared to other Korean fried chicken I have had previously, these wings are not double fried, so they are not quite as crispy as the wings I typically get, this is something to note as it is a personal preference. Staff was nice and helpful. The main reason for the 4 star review is the ramen, might have been some of the worst ramen I have had in my life. The broth lacked flavor, the egg was cold, and the meat tasted like plastic, I think dollar store ramen taste better imo. The wings were great and hit the spot and would recommend if you are fine with them not having the crunch typical in fried chicken but I would avoid the ramen if you are to come here again.

The Fruity Pebble Korean corndog was perfect! Sweet, salty, and fried goodness. Was a late night visit trying to find some late night food in Orlando, and decided to give this K-Bob spot a try as I've never seen or been to a Korean Street Food place. Setting was hip and trendy with plenty to offer from from their menu, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered some bowls, corndogs, and some wings, and the wait time for the corndog to come out was rather long. Unfortunately, the main bowl for dinner was quite disappointing, as the rice was undercooked and gritty & the carrot and veggies they put in felt pretty raw so there was definitely some effort to chew through this. The meat was good and nothing to criticize about but overall I would not plan to get the bowls here again. The wing was perfectly crisp and literally right out of the fryer & piping hot. Ordered the sweet ginger non-spicy flavor and it was good, not too salty and not bland at all. The one thing that stood out to me was definitely the Fruity Pebble Corndog. Perhaps it's due to being the most expensive corndog option but it was perfectly crisp and the sweet fruity pebbles, the mozzarella cheese, and corndog all just complimented each other perfectly for a late night bite. Cost overall here is on the slightly higher side for street food but if it's literally the only location serving this type of food, perhaps it may be worth it (with inflation nowadays, still not a cheap place to visit). Overall, a decent spot to try for some literal Korean street food. I wish the bowls were better but if you stick with the literal street food here, you may have a good time for a late night bite here. Would I come back here right away? I'm going to hold for the time being and perhaps later on when things improve, I'll come back to try some more.

That's what made this one sting a little. Let me set the stage. I pull up to the Kissimmee location already knowing what I'm getting. This place has one job. Chicken. Not a massive menu. Not a bunch of distractions. Just chicken, fries, toast, slaw. Simple. Focused. The kind of setup where you expect consistency every single time. And then the tray hit the table. The chicken? Bland. Like no one introduced it to seasoning. And somehow also soggy. You know that moment when you bite in expecting that crispy crunch and instead you get... soft confusion? Yeah. That. It honestly felt like the oil wasn't hot enough. Which is kind of a big deal when frying is your entire identity. Now here's where it gets even more frustrating. Cane's sauce is usually the safety net. It can cover a lot of sins. Underseasoned chicken? Fine. Dip it, save it, move on. But it cannot fix texture. It cannot create crunch out of thin air. And when the crisp isn't there, the whole thing falls flat. The fries didn't do much to help the situation. Underdone. Under salted. Just kind of there. Taking up space. Not offensive, just disappointing. Like they almost made it to the finish line and then decided to clock out early. And here's the part that really gets me. When you only do one thing, you have to nail it. Every time. No excuses. No off days. No close enough. This isn't a diner with a 10-page menu. This is chicken. How do you forget to make it crispy? Now, credit where it's due. The Texas toast? Still elite. Buttery, golden, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. The coleslaw? Fresh, crisp, actually refreshing. And the staff here? Friendly, efficient, and the food came out quick. No complaints on the service side at all. So now I'm sitting there having this internal debate. Because I know what Raising Cane's can be. And this wasn't it. somewhere in the middle of that meal it hit me that I went out of my way for this and got a version that felt like it cut corners That's a tough pill to swallow in an area like Kissimmee where you've got options everywhere you turn. Great food is not hard to find around here. Which makes subpar chicken stand out even more. Three stars. And that feels generous based on the sides and the service carrying the weight. But let's be clear. I'm usually a five star guy when it comes to Raising Cane's. This just wasn't that day. And when your whole brand is built on doing one thing right, you don't get a pass when that one thing misses.
