I used Bluestone Psychological Services for an approximately two month period from September to…read moreNovember 2021. I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.

She also kept trying to push very strong medications on me I had told her time and time again I'm not comfortable taking for anxiety. She then did not call me for my appointments two months in a row, I rescheduled once from Labor Day to Wednesday. The office called and told me she was ill so I reached out to her and asked when she would like to reschedule. She then blamed the missed appointments on ME! Stating because I missed three she would not reschedule me. I didn't miss them! She is the one that did not call me three appointments back to back!!! TLDR: At the end of working with her she had become rude, did not listen to my concerns or requests, kept trying to push medications I am not comfortable taking, and then had the audacity to blame me for missing appointments when SHE did not call me for our telehealth appointments!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!! They also seem impossible to get ahold of on the phone at the office. Multiple times had I left messages and never received a call back. I emailed and never got a response there as well. Overall horrible. The office staff seemed kind but not Dr. Mundi Gagandeep.... STAY. AWAY!!!

But after only a couple of sessions, I was impressed. Bryan has a really structured approach to improving relationships for couples. It not only helped us better understand ourselves and each other, but also breaks down an healthy relationship into specific areas we can work on. He gave us useful "tools" we can use every day. Now many of them have become a natural part of our on-going communications and interactions. After working with Bryan for a few months, my wife and I have grown much closer. I believe Bryan can be a really helpful resource for many couples for want to improve their relationships.

Bryan has a clear and thoughtful way of teaching, guiding us to understand ourselves and each other better. What stood out most is that he never took sides. We felt comfortable opening up from the very beginning, and the tools he gave us are things we still use every day. His system works -- plain and simple. We are incredibly grateful!
