I bought a townhome in 2022 and the previous owners were super dirty and the shower was no exception. We did our best to clean it when we moved in and eventually accepted the dirty floors and grout. The shower was badly caulked and mold got under the silicone in every corner and I hated looking at it. Tried to scrape off the old caulk myself but it took way too long and I realized the grout underneath was crumbling. Called Dan, he answered immediately and sent me an estimate. Dan is super friendly and gave me a lot of details on the work he would do on the shower. I had reached out to another company about it but honestly they were super curt and I didn't get the warm fuzzies from them, unlike when we spoke to Dan. But WOW - the attention to detail. Dan cleaned and scrubbed every inch of the shower, including the glass. And he got some very tricky stains off of the shower knob and the floor. He added new grout wherever it was needed - in the exact color match too. He also added sealant all over and a special caulk with sand in it that will flex as the house expands and contracts to prevent the grout from cracking. I just used my shower after the 32 hour dry period and it was absolutely amazing. It felt clean and new and because of the sealant Dan applied, all the water beaded up nicely and I can tell it will make the shower super easy to clean. Absolutely stoked, I've had a lot of contractors in and out to fix the place up in the past 2 years but this is one job that I'm probably the most excited for. And the price was very reasonable!! We 'rustic' form of travertine and when we moved in the company we hired at that time basically said after they 'cleaned' the stone that it was a tough stone to get cleaned and that was really the best we could expect. Then we met Jorge. He came out, went through the entire area, explained the in's and outs of the stone and what they do to clean and seal it. I figured why not since it had been 10 years and we might as well give it a go. I am beyond happy we did! Jorge did an incredible job on our stone. It has never looked better. Funny name, but great service. My 20 year old limestone counters were pitted, stained and always…read morelooked dirty. They came in, honed/ polished to a high matte finish, sealed cracks and sealed the surface. Limestone is porus and subject to etching from acid foods (lemons!) so a high polish would not last long term. The counters look like new with a very, very even finish. They took care to drape off all my appliances and cabinets, polished for about 5 hours, then cleaned up well. Polishing is wet, messy process but they know what they are doing and didn't leave a mess at all. Super happy with the response and service.

Everything was great. Well, he totally flaked and was a no show. I did call to try to confirm the appointment and it was sent directly to voicemail--just so not cool. My advice to the Grout Geek: if you don't want to take on a job for whatever reason, have the common decency to let the customer know so they don't sit around waiting for your arrival.
