The short version: Seth wasted 7+ weeks of my time and $430 of my money. My dryer was broken when I called him and remains broken to this day. My dryer started tripping the breaker, so I called and scheduled an appt. Seth came and said it was definitely the motor. He ordered a new one and said it should take 7-10 days. It ended up taking 14 days, and 21 before he actually came to install it. Immediately, the dryer had the same issue, and his tune changed to "it's definitely the electricity." It felt like he was throwing very expensive spaghetti at the wall rather than admitting that he had falsely diagnosed the problem and unnecessarily replaced the motor. Before he left, he did get it to work and said something about how the new motor may have just been tight and needed to loosen up. I felt very uneasy and honestly should not have given him the rest of the payment, but I'm an idiot. Sure enough, the dryer stops working the following week. Called him, was told he is on vacation. Had to wait another week. When he contacts us, he tells us he is going to pick the dryer up and bring it to his shop. He can't do that until the following week. This should have been expedited, considering he charged us $430 to fix something that clearly did not need to be fixed and also considering we then had to already wait a week once it broke again. Seth picked up our dryer and said we would definitely get a call by Monday or Tuesday. By Tuesday evening, we had not heard from him. My husband called and was told Seth wasn't available, but that he would call back tomorrow. Wednesday comes, no word from Seth. Again, my husband calls. Again, he's not available. We called again on Thursday and finally got a call back later in the evening. Seth can't figure out what is wrong with our dryer, will "possibly" drop it off at our home tomorrow (Friday) and if not, will "definitely" drop it off Monday. No apology and certainly no offer of giving us our money back. He is taking no responsibility for his lack of expertise or for the fact that he clearly doesn't have enough knowledge to fix our appliance. The arrogance is truly astounding. Save yourself time, money, and headache by avoiding this company at all costs. read more

I called for my twenty year old gas range, the igniter on the broiler wouldn't light they came out promptly the next day and had it up an running . Two weeks later the igniter on the oven went, once again they were out within two days, and within twelve minutes had the oven working . They are polite and friendly and know their work. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I needed them. read more

This review is maybe more for Seth than the company. The handy guy has fixed both my old refrigerator and my old dishwasher in the past 2 years. I remember thinking my fridge was toast and was shopping for a new one when he informed me that it just needed a new compressor. 2 years later that ancient fridge is still humming along. As far as the dishwasher is concerned..... I likewise thought it was kaputt, but Seth repaired the drain hose - and THAT appliance is now still working. He also informed me that if the drain hose still leaked, that he would credit me for another visit....but this was unnecessary as it was fixed the first time. My refrigerator had a slow coolant leak. They came out, looked at it, and suggested refilling the coolant. They said it would probably last me ten years. A year later, same problem. I called and asked them to come back and actually fix it this time. We scheduled a day about ten days later. No show on the day. At end of day I called and asked what happened. Same woman I spoke to ten days earlier had no memory of the conversation and told me there was no service call scheduled. Wasted money the first time, waste of a day the second. Horrible experience and I only gave it one star because I have too. I would never recommend them to anyone and we only had to use them because of default. Our appliances were bought through Home Depot, who then subcontracts the company Assurion to oversee the warranties bought at Home Depot. Then in turn they will send out local companies to your home for any repairs necessary. This is how we ended up with Quality in our home. The first time they came to repair our machine everything was fine. They assessed what was wrong with the machine and told us they would have to order the part. The gentleman assured us someone would be in touch to let us know how long it would take and to arrange for a new day to come in. This sis not happen!! I had to call over a week and half later and spoke with a woman named Barbara. She was rude, condescending and out right nasty on the phone every single time I spoke with her. She gave me and my husband the run around and danced around the answers to my questions. Almost 1 month later they finally came to fix the machine and realized they ordered the wrong part and when I spoke with her she made it seem like it was our fault. They came back another day and while fixing the machine (that is still broken) they dented our dryer on top and the front! At this point we called Home Depot & Assurion to request a new company because the machine was still not working & now was dented and we didn't want to have to deal with this Barbara woman, who we found out was the owners wife. Poor service. If you want to get an update on your TV repair, you have to call yourself. If you want your TV back, you have to call yourself to set up an appointment - little options there too. Customer service process seems to be broken. TV was simply flickering a little. Instead of replacing a few transistors, they want to replace the entire main electronic panel, which is no longer sold by TV maker. So they won't repair my TV. No skilled workers, just here for a quick buck and fat margin without doing much work. In my opinion, company is to avoid. read more

Great first experience. Our dryer stopped working in the middle of doing our laundry. Called up Quality Electronic and Appliance Service and left my information and was told I would get a call right back from the tech to arrange for a visit to look at the problem. I received the call back about a half hour later and he stopped by my house a couple hours later. Seth (the owner himself) fixed the issue on the spot as he had the problematic part replacement in his vehicle. And that was it. Very friendly, prompt service and will definitely use him again. I've had to use these guys a few times and every time was great. Very responsive with same or next day service, always had the part needed, friendly service and very knowledgable repairmen. I called yesterday for troubleshoot/repair of a GE refrigerator, the office told me a tech would call back within an hour. He called back 15 minutes later and scheduled for the next day! He told me between 9 and 12, called to let me know he was on the way by 10, and did a great job. He explained what he was doing, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and left me with a working refrigerator. He told me there was a 90 day warranty on labor and 1 year on the parts. He was also nice to my dog. I would definitely recommend this local family owned business. GE would have kept me waiting 4 days for an appointment. read more

Thanksgiving without an oven. Has to be his friends writing positive reviews because this place is horrible. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. They have been to my house numerous times and over a 3 month time span still cant fix my oven. The secretary Heather seems to be annoyed when you call to ask for an update. called numerous times today and went straight to voicemail. Decided to stop by and she was out in front smoking. Guess the nicotine is more important than answering the phone. Called Viking support and they advised using another company. Lesson learned. Horrible experience! Did not complete the repair work that I paid for. I had to make phone calls and email requests to look for a part needed because the owner did not want to. He claimed he couldn't get the part. I did get the part myself, paid for it, and had to call another service company. I am still waiting for a refund from Quality. It's funny how every experience with a company can be completely different from person to person. I have dealt with Quality twice now and I would tell anyone who is in search of a repair service - look elsewhere. I only gave them one star because I had to. I will try and detail the events that lead me to this rating. My first experience with Quality was just nothing great. It was a lengthy situation where I had to wait on parts from the manufacturer. The problem was that every time I was told I would get a call, I never did. I would always have to call for an update or to schedule an appointment. In the end, the job was completed and the tech was nothing less than professional. My second and most recent experience with Quality was terrible. I set the appointment up with them through Electrolux because they refused to submit the work order themselves. I had the work order numbers and detailed instructions (which consisted of scheduling the appointment on Electrolux website with said work order numbers) but it was obvious they didn't want to perform this extra 30 second step, so I had to call Electrolux and be on hold for X amount of time, so Quality could get paid. Right. OK so after calling Quality back a few days later questioning why I haven't received a call from them - like they said they would - the receptionist said well it is not scheduled in the system yet. I remarked yes it should be I called Electrolux right after I got off the phone with you and asked the customer service rep at Electrolux how long it would take to post, she said immediately. I knew straight away that Quality just didn't even put the effort into it. Of course she looked and it was there. Moving forward, I was told I would get a phone call from Quality the Wednesday prior to my appointment on Monday. So Wednesday came and went without a call, Thursday was Thanksgiving so I knew not to expect a call, Friday zoomed by as did Saturday and Sunday - no call. Monday morning...Appointment day! I ran my 4 year old to preschool which started at 9. Now my appointment was scheduled from 9am to 1pm...a rather large window and I thought to myself no way they would show up without a call. Low and behold and I am approaching my neighborhood I see the truck driving away. I get home, check caller ID and see I missed 2 calls - one from a cell and one from Quality - 2 minutes apart. I so call Quality back (should have called the cell phone - stupid me). I was told and I quote, "you missed your appointment, the tech is already out of the area, you will have to reschedule." Wait I just saw him he's probably at Dunkin Donuts because he has hours before his next appointment. The receptionist tells me that I received a phone call on Sunday. I look through my caller ID and repeat that I received no phone call. Yes you did your voice mail was full so we couldn't leave a message. I said no I have caller ID I didn't receive any phone calls on Sunday. Yes you did we called from a private cell phone. OK so now the lies are pouring in I ask to speak to a manager. I get Heather - supposedly the one who called me. She said she called on Sunday from her private cell phone and blocked the number, your machine was full. OK that right there is yet another lie. Yes we do block private callers but we are still notified of that call though our provider and there is no way she got the machine because it would be the blocked caller message. Not at one moment did I hear an ounce of remorse or care in her voice. Never did I get from them that they wanted to make me THE PAYING CUSTOMER happy. They only said that I had to reschedule 2 weeks away. OK I get re-scheduling but fit me in don't push me off. At this point I was angry - I canceled my relationship with them and said that I will work with Electrolux further. Bottom-line if you are still reading this review; please look elsewhere for your electronics or appliance repair. If you do decide to deal with Quality expect to wait. Expect to call them back to receive updates. Expect an unfriendly office staff. Expect a frustrating experience. And Expect lies. If I could rate the gentleman I first dealt with on my service call, he was professional; it's the customer service that needs an overhaul. Good Luck. You will need it. read more

This company was listed as an authorized service provider for my cooktop. They had been out to repair the appliance in August. I had more problems with it 2 months later, so the manufacturer again gave me the name of this company. The repairman came out again and told us what he thought was the problem and said he had the speak to the manufacturer. The next phone call I received was from a secretary that said they don't service this appliance!?!?? Really??? They had fixed it 2 months ago and came out a day ago, but now they don't provide service even thought they are still listed as an authorized service provider?? Why come up with such a stupid statement?!? I asked to speak to the owner and never received a call. Disappointing. Even a member of the company warned me about who I get on the phone. They said one of the people that answers the phone makes up names when people have a complaint and lies to them. Find a different company. It would suck if you got the same shitty service and rude lying woman on the phone. read more

I wish I could give them less than ZERO stars. I called to get my icemaker and washing machine repaired, both relatively new. Repairman comes and opens front of washing machine, shakes tub and says you need a new washing machine, its done. Then goes to kitchen and looks at icemaker and says I need to blow dry it and it will work. I am then hand an $89 bill. He is in my home no longer than 5 minutes. I blow dry the ice maker and it still does not work. I leave message for repairman, he doesn't call back. I call office and Barbara tells me she'll text him to call me, he never does. I call again a few days later (Friday), Barbara says "he didn't call you? Now he's in trouble. I will make sure he calls you right back." He didn't call. He called at 8:30 am the following Monday. I call HIM back and he gives me a run around and tells me it is $89 just to walk in my door. A business has expenses. I told him he didn't even open up the appliances to diagnose the problem. He said he didn't have to. He knows by looking at it. If he would've blow dried the ice maker he would've charged me the hoirly rate on top of the $89 diagnosis fee. Huh? How can you diagnose it without opening it and seeing WHY it froze? SMH! I informed him obviously the hairdryer diagnosis was wrong. He said well then you need parts and they're gonna cost about $450. I told him I would verify that myself. Well....parts are $60 and job will take me 15 minutes to do myself. I call back Barbara and informed her that repairman never called Friday as she promised and she said, "Oh come on, now you're being petty." I didn't bother giving all the details of the complaint as she was talking over me and unwilling to listen. I asked for a refund. I'm now waiting for a call back from her supervisor. I won't hold my breath. Small claims will sort it. It's not the money that pisses me off its the shuck and jive and lack of customer service. They want to pop in for five mins for a hundred dollars an hour. Nice business practices. YouTube is a way better way to handle a simple repair and don't have to deal with rude and incompetent people who don't understand what customer service is. read more
