They had previously repaired leaks, rebuilt my valve manifold, rebuilt my backflow, replaced valves, replaced broken heads, backflow testing, etc. Those previous experiences were quick, done well, and competitively priced. For my latest work request, I was looking to add two sprinkler heads to an existing zone (2x Hunter I-20 rotors) about 20 feet from the nearest respective heads. Dr. Sprinkler was my first call, and my experience was nothing like previous ones. The tech showed up, met with me briefly, sketched the location of the new heads and left. I received an invoice for $212 that only covered generating the estimate. I was aware that a service charge would be included in the initial visit, but expected the included initial labor fee to include more than just generating an estimate. Three business days passed and I had to ask for the actual estimate to be provided. They sent it over promptly after I asked, but the 'parts' cost for the two heads and pvc materials was listed at $738. The labor was a separate line item for 3 man hours, and was priced reasonably. I'm no irrigation expert, but I know these heads retail at about $25 each and PVC material is a couple of bucks per foot. Fittings are less than a dollar. Previous work done by the same company had charged $38 per rotor for the same I-20 head. I fail to see where the other $650 is going as it relates to parts. If you choose to go with this company for irrigation work, I can say that they do good work, but beware that you will be charged over $200 for an estimate and the estimate they give you could have extreme price gouging on parts.

Amazing, how you stay in business but that will change. You also charged me with a backflow system I never needed as I just had one installed last year. I directly instructed your worker to leave me behind all the parts which was 7 heads and a back flow system. The worker did not leave the old backflow system as instructed. I doubt a new system was put it. The brand new backflow was working just fine. Your ridiculous mockery of an invoice will not be paid, certainly not $1,672.78 What you did was a crime. I will notify authorities. I have 15 heads and half of them you took out out of the ground

I tried two different…read moreirrigation companies on google and one wanted to do a complete new system and the other was a bit lost in how to diagnose the problem. We had ongoing issues with heads not shutting off and leaks. Charlie called when I sent in the inquiry to make sure it was not an emergency and then we settled on a time to meet. He did a complete troubleshooting of our system and fixed every problem. He reminds me of my Dad who says "if you don't do it right, it's not worth doing." In honesty, the total was a lot more than I was wanting to spend. It was a tough conversation, but in the end he stated "I just want you to be happy and I'll do whatever it takes for you to be a happy customer." We worked our issue out professionally and I am a happy customer! One month later, we had a completely separate issue from what he fixed initially. He came out to fix the problem for "on the house" for being patient and a loyal customer. He never was a no show. He always texted or called to tell me he was running late. It's been several months since he worked on our house and usually I get frustrated months later and swear I'll never call back, but not Chuck's Irrigation. Now...he's a very busy man and he'll tell you that, but he won't lie and he'll stay true to his word. I had been interested in getting lighting for the house. He offered to do a sample trial of the lighting and did 2 weeks of the sample. He's a smart business man because I loved it so much. I got so many compliments from neighbors I kept his lighting!

We selected them because their price was in line with other quotes and because their approach they assured us would result in minimal damage to our fairly new bermuda grass. Unfortunately much went wrong here: they were a week late starting the project; it took them 3 days longer than they said it would; and they absolutely destroyed our grass. Shredded it with huge scars, uneven ground, pipes still sticking out of the ground. I insisted they come back and at least try to smooth out the bare ground and add topsoil so the grass could begin to heal. It has yet to fully recover. In operation Ed insisted multiple times that we did not need a booster pump to boost our low water pressure. Said he wanted to save us $2K. He said he could handle it with his system. As a result we have 18 zones (should have been covered with way less), and the zones farthest from the valves barely put out any water. So i also have to run the system way longer each time than I should have to. A new irrigation maintenance provider came in and said we absolutely needed a pump to make the system work properly and were shocked at how poorly the heads and drip lines were buried.
