My stay here was not spectacular, it offered just a decent experience. The room I had booked was a king size. I did find it pretty cool that it was large. Once section for the bathroom, one section for the king sized bed, and the one section for a "chill corner" complete with a Mahogany (probably not) wood desk, a chair up against the door to the next room, a half fridge (not mini, but not full either) and a microwave, The complaints I had were that I was bit overcharged on the visit by $0.18, the t.v. did not work, and there was a dusty vent over my head in the shower (room 216). It makes more sense to put the vent over the toilet than it does the shower, assuming you use the toilet first and then take a shower. Because of the pandemic, they will serve you a few breakfast options and actually, I never received the pastry option even though I had checked it off! read more

I contacted the hotel several times and was given false information and wrong numbers to contact. I finally have found the owners name today and contacted them with no response. We felt based on our stay that the Quality Inn located in Elizabethtown offers A higher level of accommodations and service at a budget price. Towels were thicker than I would have expected and shower pressure was very good. The complementary hot breakfast buffet is typical of this price range but the attendant made sure everything was stocked up and fresh. Big room and convenient location This is all the good I can say about it. I was worried as there had been reports of bed bugs 6 days before but luckily no bed bugs in our room. The lighting was poor in the room and it had dings in the wall and there was mold in the bathroom. The breakfast was pretty crappy but thankfully we only stayed one night. Don't stay here! We arrived in June for one night. Place smelled terrible and carpet looked like it hadn't ever been cleaned. Final straw was when we found bed bugs in our bed. Go elsewhere, sleep in your car but do not go here. Registering for the room I waited as Mexicans registered. Only one of the group spoke English so there was quite a wait. Once registered, we drove around back to enter and as we entered the hallway we were met with the strong smell of Weed. The carpeting was filthy. We never made it to the room because or the smell and filth. Back at the front desk they offered to spray the room for us but I passed and took a refund. Terrible place. Stay away! read more

My family had reservations here and were saving almost $500 to be book here than other hotels in the area. We decided to drive by since we were in the area. It's tucked back in a corner by itself...first sign this may be bad. Cop car pulling out from behind the hotel...sign 2. Flew into Louisville from LA and I booked a room just outside of town. Very easy to find off the highway and there's a few eateries within walking distance. Right away you feel this tranquil aura....I explored around the area a few times just breathe in the fresh air and the scenery. Tried to take some back with me to So Cal. The free breakfast was NOT average. Biscuits n Gravy, Sausage, waffles. My room was spacious, more than enough room. Cable with lots of options. I took in nearly game on Saturday. The bed was huge and super comfy. Quaint little gym that had a couple cardio pieces and plenty of freeweights. I worked out everyday I was there, sometimes twice. The staff was very nice and very helpful. Next time I'm in Louisville I'll definitely consider staying there again. The local cab they recommended - City Cab - was awesome too. read more

We got in super late at night, and were grateful that the girl at the front desk was so cheery, friendly, and helpful. She had our room keys for us within minutes, with a smile. So friendly and kind. The whole hotel looked like it had been recently remodeled or updated. It was nice and modern. The room was clean and had a super cozy bed. I didn't want to get up in the morning. This hotel is quite old, but has not been updated. Which, would be ok if kept up. However, it was dirty, dingy, and broken down. Doors didn't work, rooms were dirty, etc. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was convenient, but I would not stay here again. read more

Late night March 25th we were directed to door 7 to enter the hotel and then to our room, 514. To begin with door 7 was unlocked, we were able to push it open without having to use our keycard to unlock it. We opened the door to room 514 and immediately noticed a foul smell. We went right to the HVAC unit to turn the fan on and set the temperature. Nothing, no fan, didn't work. We called the front desk and the clerk came and did get it running. Before we could point out the loose carpet near the bathroom door that was not secure and falling away from the wall, the clerk noticed it and said she would report to maintenance saying she was surprised housekeeping had already reported it. We were ready to settle in for the night and when we went to close the drapes on the window and noticed a hole in the glass. Then the HVAC unit shut itself back down and again we couldn't get it going. It was then that we noticed how dirty the unit was. Needless to say I returned to the front desk and demanded a refund of my charge, we were not staying the night. If the obvious dirt/dust on the HVAC unit had been overlooked, not to mention the hole in the window I don't even want to think about what wasn't getting attention in that room/hotel. read more

Stayed there this past weekend due to a soccer tournament for my kids team. The soccer club picked the hotel. I would never stay here again at the price they changed $300 for 2 nights. This hotel is motel price worthy at best. The room was nasty needing repairs badly. Light bulb missing in the bathroom, shower Curtain rod coming off the wall and very out dated!!! fitness room shouldn't even exist old equipment doesn't work, don't plan on working out! I recently stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites in Elizabethtown, KY (11/7/15) ... While there were certainly no lavish amenities to rave about, the hotel did provide a clean room with a HDTV, working shower and bathroom and a solid mini refrigerator and microwave. The pool area looked to be clean (it was obviously closed for the season since it is outdoors) and the lounge/dining area was well-stocked. The staff was likewise courteous and accommodating, making the stay a nice one. Save for pillows that could definitely be firmer, I really have no complaints about my stay. read more

$80.00 per night. Mini vacation with my 2 young grandsons and my daughter to visit a friend who lives in Etown Kentucky. We arrived at 1:20pm Monday July 10th, 2017. Check in is at 3:00pm, but our room was ready so they let us check in early, which was nice since we had just completed a 7 hour drive. The room was on the bottom floor very close to the door that lead to the outside pool (room 301). The room "smelled clean", but the garbage can outside the hotel entrance "door #2 on the backside of the hotel" smelled gross. Excited to go swimming outside on a hot day, we unpacked and got our swim stuff together and headed to the pool. My friend and her two small children met us there to join the swimming fun. The door leading to the pool had a large garbage can that was full and also smelled terrible. *****OK now to the pool we go**** The pool is a mess!!! Chunks of concrete and paint chips coming off the steps and bottom of the pool. My daughter found an old water bottle at the bottom of the 9 feet end of the pool (which she left there, she was not about to touch it). The pool tiles surrounding the inner upper base of the pool is "black" and the deep bottom end of the pool appears to be green. The second day my daughter saw a man pour pool cleaner in the pool early in the morning, which set her mind at ease. On day 3 at 10am we took the kids swimming and found a dead "mouse" in one of the filters, water bottle still there, a wire sticking up from the corner of the pool area, the pump room door open. After finding the mouse we were finished with the pool and took the kids to the American Legion Water Park 5 minutes away (which was a great time). I suggest that anyone that is choosing this place for the outdoor pool, "don't"!!! You need to stay away!!! When I returned to my home state of Michigan I called and left a long message with Etown Environmental Health department with my return name and phone number. ONLY GOOD THINGS "NO BED BUGS AND DECENT BREAKFAST FOR THE KIDS"!!! read more

Qaulity Inn is not like how it use to be. I use to go and be so comfortable staying here and it would always be my first pick. Seems like as time has gone by prices have went up, which that's just the way the world functions. However 80 for one night for the kind of stay you have here is to pricey. Last time I stayed here which was about a week ago, I could hear the people in the next room going at it with eachother, room attendants just walking in, in the mornings without even knocking to make sure we was dressed and appropriate, the connection wasn't working, etc. I feel like if I check in late my check out should be later as well. I will say the staff was nice and the room was clean, but I wouldn't first pick booking a room here again. read more

Nice comfy bed, huge room, quiet with no road noise(our room faced an open meadow. Many nice restaurants in a 5 min. drive. Stayed here a year ago, my advice is to just keep going. Room was ok for one night and price wasn't that bad. Check out was a little strange in that a rather large crowd of staff members family was in the area having some kind of gathering. The lady at the desk said that we had been double charged, but she had corrected it and the money would be back on our debit card within ten days. Okay anyone can make a mistake. Twenty days later - no money. Called back and was assured it was processing. Five weeks later - no money. Called back and was told they would look into it and contact us. Two months later - no money. Called back and was told they didn't know what we were talking about. Went to Hardin County Court House and filed paperwork with small claims court for the amount they owed us, plus mileage, hotel rooms (at another hotel) for overnight stays to attend court, food for on the road trips, and Court costs. Day of court procedure the manager meet us outside the court room and ask to settle. Ended up costing them over $1000 for a $60 refund. If you stay here be sure you keep receipts and records. Wonder how many people they've done this to and got away with it???? read more

If you plan on just sleeping, this really isn't that bad. I read a review where they said bring your own pillow, but my husband & I didn't think they were that bad. It is a non-smoking hotel BUT when it's colder out, I guess they smoke right beside the door & it made the hallway smell really bad of cigarette smoke. My son & I got breakfast, just a small selection but a decent one. Definitely worth the stay if your on a budget. read more

All I wanted was a place to sleep... For the price of $100 was placed in a room that was more akin to a $200/week cheap motel. The bathroom was filthy...there was actually the remnants of a previous guest's shave on the toilet seat. The room I was placed in still would have been ok for one night except for the fact that it was directly below the lobby. The lobby with hard floors. The lobby where most guests walk through at all hours. The lobby they serve breakfast in. There was no sleeping in this room because every time someone walked through the lobby, rolled a suitcase, or dragged a chair, it resonated through my room. This peaked at 5:30am when it sounded like they were dragging furniture back and forth across the floor. The staff was bottom of the barrel. In fact, I would probably give a higher rating if they showed a hint of interest in being polite. The night clerk had a young child with her. A well behaved child, but completely unprofessional. The clerk at the desk in the morning would not even look up from her computer screen when I brought the filthy bathroom and unacceptable noise level to her attention. There was no resolution offered, just a reciept shoved at me with a grunt. The staff and the exorbitant price are what earned this establishment a one star review. The room would have gotten two stars on its own and, had the staff made any effort whatsoever, they might have gotten three stars. read more

This place is a total dump. Once we got checked in we were directed to door number 7 to access our room. Upon entry to the building I was hit with a strong odor of marijuana, and I don't mean smoke. It smelled as if pounds of the stuff was being stored there. The room itself was filthy. The carpet had not been properly vacuumed. I had stuff sticking to my socks. The bathroom was disgusting. My shoes stuck to the floor. The sink and vanity was noticeably dirty. The toilet bowl had a filth ring in it at the water level, indicating it had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. The shower was just as bad. Thankfully I had my own disinfectant so I could at least spray it down and kill any lingering germs. I was going to have a cup of coffee before going to breakfast, but the coffee maker in the room still had an old moldy coffee pod in it from a previous guest. I wonder how long it had been since housekeeping personnel had even looked at the coffee maker. The breakfast itself was pathetic. The person who was supposed to prepare the breakfast was nowhere to be found so the desk clerk had to pull double duty and couldn't keep up. There was very little to eat. Most of what they claim to have was not even there and the breakfast dining area was filthy. All in all, the experience sucked. read more

It's decent enough. Came down here for a course at Fort Knox and everything was booked for an FFA thing but we got a room here for 5 nights. Rough crowd the first night, ghost town the second night, then high schoolers after that. Older hotel but they seem like they're trying to work with what they have. A few stains on the carpet and minor things that someone could be picky about but comfortable beds and nice sheets. Overall pretty clean and decent enough breakfast. read more

Easy to find and right next to 65. Only bad part was our toilet didn't flush but I wouldn't hold that against the whole hotel. 15 June 2015 The Quality Inn in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I've been to 33 states and a dozen foreign countries over 28 years. It should be closed because it is a disgrace to the hospitality industry and an insult to basic human decency. My partner and I stopped in Elizabethtown on June 15th, 2015, after driving for eight hours as we made our way to Ohio. We checked in at approximately 5:30 and promptly went to our room to unpack. Shortly afterwards, we made a brief, one minute inspection of the pool and then went back to the room where we stayed except to drive down the road to eat. We stayed in our room except to go eat dinner and for the look at the pool. After returning from dinner we started to get knocks on the door. We answered to a pack of unsupervised teenagers who were allegedly looking for a friend. We grew suspicious when the knocking continued even after complaining to the front office. There were teenagers and adults there from a baseball league and these teenagers were the ones harassing us. We also started receiving phone calls with no one on the other end. The front office was not able to do anything to stop this. The straw that broke the camel's back was when we got yet another knock on the door and the note, shown on the right, slipped under the door. This was it. We packed and left. It was 10:30 pm and we were forced to find another place to stay after having driven 8 hours. On the way out we stopped by the front desk and managed get our money back. This was the only decent thing Quality Inns did for us. I called the Elizabethtown police and filed a report because I considered us to have been victims of a hate crime. We could not imagine staying the rest of the night there not knowing to what extremes these wingnuts would go. Our hunch was that the adults were encouraging the neo-Nazis-in-training. We feared for the safety of our vehicle as well and we wanted to distance ourselves from this insane asylum which tries to pass as hotel. The police office did a cursory investigation and as far I know, to this day, nothing came of it. We should have turned around the minute we walked into the lobby and noticed that there was exactly one person running the entire place. It was run down and smelled like sweat and cigarettes. The putrid icing on the cake of this nightmarish experience was that we left in such a hurry that we forgot several shirts hanging in the closet. We realized this the next morning and called the hotel to see if there was any chance of retrieving them, thinking they would still be there. We drove back 30 miles to Elizabethtown that morning only to find that the shirts were "missing". That morning there were 3 people working in this palace. Only two people had access to the room, the maid and what passed for a front desk clerk. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to narrow down the field of suspects. We have not heard from anyone who works for "Quality" Inns nor have we heard from the Elizabethtown police. I would not go near Elizabethtown if it were the last place on earth not on fire. Our brief 5 hour stay there was a miserable, frightening experience. 25 June 2015 Finally contacted by Officer Ron S of the Elizabethtown Police department to follow up on my report. He basically lectured the teenagers who admitted to their actions. No charges were filed. 29 June 2015 Finally, 2 weeks after the incident, heard from someone at Choice Hotels. Dana, You are the very first person from your company to contact us, two weeks after this nightmare. The manager of the hotel never bothered and I naively assumed he would contact us the next day. I've attached a write-up of the event and a copy of the note which was slipped under our door. I think the only reason we were called by the officer who investigated the incident was because I sent this same attachment to the local Chamber of Commerce. I have been investigating whether to take this further with the Kentucky Attorney General and consumer advocacy groups and/or civil rights organizations. Spent 124.00 on a last minute king "suite" at this place on the way back from Orlando. The front desk clerk told us that the rooms were renovated. The hallways stink of smoke in this hotel, and the room was so damp and mildewy from the air conditioner that I swore I was sleeping in someone's basement. It was uncomfortable to the point that sleeping was impossible. The pull-out couch had two mysterious white stains on it, and when we went to set it up it was a bare mattress without sheets. bathroom was dirty. The free hot breakfast was your typical powdered scrambled eggs, and gloppy gravy over biscuits served in the lobby. Coffee was even bad. Please do not stay here. What a complete rip-off! read more

Very disappointed. We were in town for a baseball tournament, so we were limited on hotel choices, especially because we brought our 5 month old puppy along. We paid $179 a night, plus an additional $15 a night for our pet. My biggest issue was that I got reprimanded one evening (around 5pm) by the hotel employee for my dog barking; his barking was limited and only occasional, and definitely wasn't a continuous problem for other guests. My thoughts on that are that, if you're a "pet friendly" hotel, please make sure that you are truly "pet friendly". I paid extra for my pet to be there, and if you don't allow an occasional bark, then you should not allow pets at all... I assure you that most dogs are known to bark on occasion. My second issue was that on our last morning there, I went to the front desk around 7am, to get some fresh towels, (we had not been provided with clean towels at all on our 2 night stay) only to be told that they had no clean towels. Instead of towels, I was given 2 bathroom rugs, as a replacement. My last complaint (and this was minor - I wouldn't have complained about this if I had been happy with the hotel otherwise) were the multiple cob webs on our bedroom ceiling. It was apparent that the room had not been properly cleaned in quite sometime. Needless to say, we will not be staying at your hotel ever again. Definitely not worth the money that we spent. read more
