I learned this when I drove with him on Monday. You need to hear this story: I called when I landed in CAK airport asking if the property could send the airport shuttle as it is advertised to have. I heard the hesitation in Deon's voice and as he told me that there was an issue, but if I could give him 5 minutes, he'd call me back. I told him there was a different Marriot nearby and not to worry, I'd simply go elsewhere. He said, "no, don't do that ... just 5 minutes, I'm going to figure this for you sir". Whatever. That's cool. He sounded like he wanted to help and that's surely worth 5 minutes of my time for his investment in my problem. When he called me back, he said "Mr. Bain, our shuttle isn't yet in-service and I don't have anyone available to work the front desk for another few minutes, but I called one of my other workers to cover for me and I'm coming in my personal car to pick you up. This is the kind of can-do attitude that I look for when hiring on my team and really refreshing as the US, once known for its customer service, has surely waned over the years. On the drive, he shared with me the new role he has at the property and about how he sees opportunity to institute better processes at this and the others under the management company's umbrella he might be offered in the future. Thinking about process improvement in a hotel chains is generally as exciting to me as looking at my parent's photos of an antique store they once visited, but he was glowing about the opportunity; so much so, that I actually felt excited with him. That attitude + aspiration is a winning formula. I have little doubt he'll have a region or a district under his purview in 2-5 years. Kudos Deon. After a long day of travel, my family arrived to an incredibly disappointing experience from the start. One employee was openly hitting on guests, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. We were then informed that the elevator was not functioning properly and had to be manually opened for us every time we needed to go upstairs. The pull-out sofa was essentially unusable because the springs were so pronounced. When we asked the manager and staff for help, we received virtually no assistance and no meaningful effort to resolve the situation. It was so bad that I ultimately left the hotel in the middle of the night and booked a room at the Hampton Inn across the street, where the staff was wonderful and accommodating. If you are traveling with a family, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. This property and its staff fell far below what I have come to expect from Marriott.

Ever since I requested that the day, she couldn't find it in herself to lift her head or even acknowledge in the morning. That would not be who I would have as the first person greeting guests I probably would never have asked for daily clean, but the floors were dirty with shoe prints by the sink and the restroom itself when we checked in, the sheets were shredded on one side, plus there was the mold in the shower. It just was a very uninviting room. The desk chair was torn, the sofa bed broken. This place needs a remodel or to be demolished. Cringy all around.

The…read morefront desk was manned by Jim and he was very friendly and welcoming and gave me a helpful orientation to the hotel property and the adjacent properties, including restaurants, etc.. The room was clean with the exception of a wrapper and crumbs which I found underneath the edge of the bed by accidentally stepping on them The bathroom area was clean with plenty of towels and washcloths, and the surfaces appear to be sparkly, clean and sanitized. The closet is an in room wardrobe, which is fairly small but has enough room for about a week worth of clothes, with about seven or eight hangers inside. There is a coat rack and location for your keys, just inside the room door and a mirror full length for dressing. There is a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the room as well as ice bucket and disposable cups My room had two beds. I assume these are full-size beds. I don't believe these are queen size beds. The sheets seemed to clean and the beds were well-made and had a good presentation to them. The room has a desk and a stool and a nightstand and plenty of power outlet outlets to use in various locations around the room. There's a full window that takes up almost the entire wall and about half of the wall from waist up. It has nice window coverings that also appeared to have room darkening features. There's a breakfast offered in the mornings and coffee service all day. There is a pool that is open until 10 PM at an exercise area that stays up in 24 seven. Access to the pool and the exercise area are by use of the room key. This is a multi story hotel, and as of the time I checked in the elevator was not functioning and had apparently broken the same day I checked in. Fortunately, I was placed on the first floor, so that should not be a problem for me. There is a business center at the front lobby area, a nice spacious front lobby for gathering or relaxing, as well as a breakfast area, which also has plenty of tables and chairs. There is an outdoor patio area, which has furniture for relaxing and hanging outside if the weather permits and you have the time! Parking is convenient and adjacent to the hotel with spaces in the front and possibly sides, although I didn't walk around the entire perimeter. There are several restaurants, including a restaurant and entertainment complex that is directly adjacent to the hotel that has generous hours, including serving food until at least 10 PM nightly.

Cleanest Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. No joke. I thought my room perhaps was brand new and had never been used before, but nope - just well maintained and clean. Friendly front desk, lobby, and cleaning staff. No coffee makers in room, though you can ask for one from the desk. Nice amenities...pool, workout room, etc... So why only three stars? The elevator was broken, as were some of the lobby devices like the coffee machine for the breakfast crowd. Nice place to stay. Ample parking. And, it's next to a place (like a 30 second walk) from a place called Galaxy that is a conference center, wine bar, sports bar, steak house, and butcher shop. I am not kidding. I'd come back to stay here just to go to that place.

So per instructions I stopped by the Dari Delite, grabbed a bite to eat for dinner (this was included in my room fee) and was then taken to the B&B. The house was neat and clean, it did smell a bit musty upon walking through the front door, but upstairs was fine. I had beverages and cookies in my room to enjoy, a small TV and a private bath. Available WI-Fi is at the restaurant, not at the B&B. In the morning, I went down to the Dari Delite for breakfast, free of charge for B&B guests, where I checked out with Linda, proprietress. I'd stay here again if my work travels bring me this direction. The proprietress and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing fancy but a nice small town feel at a very reasonable price.

We checked in pretty late from a long day of driving and Dan welcomed the girls in with treats and pats at the desk. The hotel itself was easy to get to and conveniently located amongst quick bites of food. The rooms are a tiny bit dated, but otherwise very comfortable and have everything you need. Great place to stay and especially if traveling with pets!

Like all other Home2Suites, these rooms are full suites with kitchen. I'm not sure of the age of the actual Hotel itself but it still feels fairly new and is very clean. There is a suite shop downstairs and the hotel offers a variety of both cold and hot breakfast options. Would I go back? Every time I visit this area and have to stay, I always stay at this hotel. I highly recommend. I will say though, it's a little tricky to find. You might think you're going to the hotel next door, but watch for the markings on the actual road itself. The arrows will lead you right to this hotel.

Drills began as well. When we called the front desk there was just the response that there's construction from 8am on, no other options given and just a cursory "sorry." We were never alerted of this or we wouldn't have stayed here. This is unacceptable. If you are planning on staying here and want any sort of rest, cancel your reservations now. We're Hilton honors members too so they really don't care at all for anyone. I would never stay here again due to the lack of warning and care.

Came in late last night; the parking lot definitely can use some improvement, a lot of construction material is in the outside of the building right by the entrance. As I came in, I was welcomed immediately, which was very nice. The front desk lady walked me to the elevator, which was really nice. The hallways are small on the first floor. The elevator was covered with insulation paneling. The room where I stayed was even though it was small and nice. Well...then a scream name was definitely not mine. The lamps in the room were dusty and dirty the curtain by the window was also dirty. It makes me feel a little bit un easy, but the sheets on the bed were clean and the pillows as well. However, at 7:15 am. I have someone knocking on the door trying to open the door and identify himself as a housekeeping so I get up to check the door which is really hard to open the latch is actually kind of lose so the door tend to get stuck. So of course it was housekeeping and they're telling me. Oh I'm sorry I didn't know somebody was in the room. It was marked as empty. I said obviously I'm here and then he follow by asking me if the heater was working OK and I'm like I don't know the room felt stuffy so I turned air conditioning on that's my first day/night so much for relaxing. I have one more night here, but I will not come back here. There are other hotels around the area. I will go somewhere else.
