This was the most disgusting hotel I think I have ever been in. We reserved 2 rooms for our family for our sons graduation from Parris Island. It started with employees at picnic tables with their friends smoking weed blasting music, pee smell in the elevator and walkways, trash everywhere, filthy rooms.... Upon arrival into room #1 it was dirty, musty odor, mold on the ceiling, peeling paint. Room #2 the toilet had toilet paper in it, wouldn't flush. Guy came to fix it...didnt fix it. We asked for someone else to come back, they left the plunger outside the door. Husband and daughter each couldn't get the door open to leave the bathroom but the best part was the bedbug that crawled up my daughter in laws arm!! Tore the bed apart disgusting box springs, torn and what looked like blood stained mattress protector. We left at 1am as they had no more rooms the girl was very apologetic and did refund our money for room #2 for both nights. No hotels were available in the area because of graduation and Hurricane evacuees. We ended up staying in the cars that night (our 7 wk old granddaughter was also with us) and had to stay an hour away in Savannah the next night. read more

This hotel is gross. It's the only hotel that was available because of the marine graduation and another hotel canceled our reservation because we did not have kennels for our dogs . It looks dirty. It feels dirty. The ceiling has small holes all over it... idk what they are.. old lighting cables... creep cameras (probably not)... but I wouldn't be surprised if they were. They gave us a discount for the room to accommodate our inability to find a hotel last minute. I appreciate that they helped, but it now feels like they did that because they know the rooms are bad. I don't know if the lamp shades are burnt or rusted.. the walls are scuffed and dirty and peeling.. the room just feels musty... I'm afraid to sit on, let alone sleep here. But... oh well. We are here... don't stay here unless they've started to make some changes. You and your money are worth more. read more

Like most Quality inn's. Funny name for a chain when there IS NO QUALITY!!!! They are outdated! No one seems to care about the condition of the rooms! Rooms are rundown! Mold all over the tile! It gets a 3 stars because this was the only hotel that had 2 last minute rooms for my party to sleep in for a night due to our Airbnb not having A/C. If we were able to have chose another place, we would of. The front desk lady was very awesome. She made sure the rooms had the A/C fully cranked. She even let us check in around 11am and made sure the rooms were ready for us. She gave us a discount just because we were already so upset from a sleepless night The rooms don't look anything like the pictures. There is a mildewy smell to the room but you literally get what you paid for. The surrounding area though is very nice. There is a really nice Starbucks in the same parking lot and plenty of food options nearby. Yes the other reviews about the guests are true. This sort of motels were the doors aren't in a secured area does seem to attract a certain crowd. There was plenty of loudness and questionable actions but again, we were only in the room for not even 12 hours as were gone for most of the day. I am staying here right now. First, this place smells so gross. I am staying in a pet friendly room, but I've been to many hotels with pet friendly rooms that were immaculate. Took my own sanitizer, the bed board was very dirty. Also when I arrived there were some people blasting music from their room and yelling "it'll only get louder" (it didn't thankfully). Because of my worries (and a review I saw of someone watching a car getting broken into here), I took every single thing I owned from my car and put it in my room. Probably a big mistake.....because: I had a glass of wine next to my bed, noticed something moving, and it was a HUGE cockroach. Literally jumped into my wine glass. I had to waste my entire wine because a COCKROACH jumped in. I'm a travel nurse and frontline worker, and this is just so unacceptable. I'm horrified and will not be sleeping tonight. We could not beat the price for this hotel on a Saturday night, with a soiree, a Marine reunion, and a prom all going on in this cute little town. Old town hotels were full, but this large, modern, clean hotel just outside of town had rooms, all in for under 90. Our single friend got an efficiency for $60. The room was large, clean, and everything worked, with room for a large leather chair and a desk. Each room has a micro, fridge, coffee maker, and a tub. There was even a full ironing board and iron in room, in case you are attending a soiree, prom, or Marine reunion. I did hear some sounds from the room above, so opt for the top floor. There is an elevator, and breakfast is included. The pool was clean with lots of lounge chairs to enjoy a pleasant, sunny afternoon. read more

The place was horrible. The floors were wet and I am disabled. Couldn't get out of my chair. The dresser, picture frames were falling apart. Mold on the wall. paint peeling. Bed hard as a rock. They had a fridge in the way so my wheelchair couldn't even make it over to the bathroom. The dresser and picture frame were broken. It was a handicapped room.One girl working by herself. Booked a stay here for 5 days after comparing other hotels nearby. This one offered a fridge and a free breakfast at a much lower rate. Due to the rate I wasn't expecting it to be comparable to say the Hampton. We arrived to check in and were greeted by the front desk whom were polite. The lady gave us our room keys and we went to check the room on the 3rd deck. We opened the door and saw other persons baggage throughout and the room obviously being already used. We returned to the front desk and they said the air conditioning units have been going out so they have been moving persons to other rooms. So essentially they moved someone into our booked room and we had to be downgraded to a double bed. They stated they would discount us for the night and have a king non smoking the following day. Upon entering we noticed the trash bin was full and one of the beds linen was stained. The next day we were giving a king room as promised, but only after harassing the front desk since we didn't receive a phone call as we were told we would. The new room seemed cleaner and smelt fresh. The following morning my girlfriend went to use the provided hair dryer and it made a really loud noise so she immediately shut it off since it seemed to be a fire hazard. She called down to the desk and they stated they would bring one up. We waited 20 mins after not receiving a replacement before just departing for our day. When we returned that evening we again spoke to the front desk in regards and they stated at 7am the morning gentleman would bring one up. 9am no hair dryer. So she called down again, and as we were leaving for our day we saw the gentleman bringing the new one finally. The hotel does have a pool (we prefer the beach). The first night it seemed as though locals were having a pool party, which wouldn't be fair to guest if they wanted to use it. The breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular but no complaints. The elevators aren't air conditioned, so if they were to break down (which elevators tend to more often then most realize) that could be a hazard. We took the steps mostly. Just a random note, we observed a full cooked chicken leg on the second floor stairwell, over a 3 day period before it was finally removed. I tried not to expect too much out of this hotel but we still left disappointed with our overall stay here. read more

Our room greeted us with the smell of mildew, old age and desperation. Nice staff and good breakfast. Beyond that, gross and in disrepair. Blackened caulk, pealing paint and rancid smell. They need to peal this place down to the studs and rebuild. A match and some gasoline would be a smarter option. The Quality Inn here in Beaufort is located just outside of the old town center. It is 4 stories and built in the antebellum style. Rooms are accessible by hallways that ring each floor. There is a large parking area on the front and one side of the grounds. Elevators are on each end of the building, and each floor has several ice machine and vending machine bays. The rooms are large and comfortable. The beds and decor are fresh and we'll done. Each room has a fridge and a microwave, as well as a coffee maker. Breakfast in the lobby is included. For those who don't want to pay to stay at an expensive bed and breakfast in town, this is a good choice. read more

We stayed here for two nights while attending my nephews graduation from Parris Island. The location couldn't be better. It was very easy to get to and only a few minutes from base. There are several stores and restaurants within walking distance, and many more within a few minutes drive. The hotel itself is kind of old, and is definitely showing it's age, but they have done an good job at trying to keep it up. The lobby is nice, and the parking lot is convenient and well lit. The grounds could use a little more work, though. The room was above average for it's class, and was decently appointed and clean. Nothing to write home about, but no complaints, either. Overall good experience, and will definitely stay here again when the next nephew graduates (in a few years). read more

2017:Wednesday: The check in was pleasant, the lady we spoke with is, I believe an assistant manager.. She remembered us from a previous stay... You can definitely see the difference in hotels though, from where we had stayed in Savannah. We usually stay in Comfort Inns. Although we had just come from a really nice Holiday Inn in Savannah. 2017:Wednesday The room is quite large. Counter area near the restroom is huge, easily usable when fixing coffee or putting your possibles out. The room trash cans haven't been cleaned in years.. Then they throw the extra bag in the bottom into the mess they do not clean... the cans are are rusty, some smell, & are not clean..... Then they put a new bag on top of all the mess. I pulled out a spare bag & then had to wash my hands, because of the mess on the spare bag.... The pillows are tough... not real comfortable. The bed is passable, but not as comfortable as you may like; but I've had worse. 2017Wednesday: EVENING This morning I was called by the front desk & told that; "I had left my card & I had to come back to the welcome center" to retrieve it. Turns out, they had me mixed up with someone else. This evening: They must have a problem with "homeless people coming in & sleeping in the conference room", Trying to stay out of the rain, I had bags in hand and cut through the lobby, jokingly told the desk clerk I was just passing through. I was told I could not stay there and I had to leave in a tone of voice that rather surprised me. I thought the desk clerk was joking.. I had to over ride her apparent anger and tell her I was a paying customer. She took my joking about passing thru as me being a vagrant and that I could not come in there. I wondered if I looked that bad.... Thought she was joking. She later apologized, but I think I will be looking to stay elsewhere in the future. This particular hotel has had some changes since we were last here and apparently not for the best. 2017: Thursday: First day, took advantage of the breakfast offered here. The lady restocking was very pleasant and non obtrusive. They had the usual outlay of cereals in boxes, cream cheese, yogurt, waffles, bagels, muffins, English muffins, orange juice, coffee, milk cartons, scrambled eggs & home fries, sausage & patties, and condiments.... Better than some, no substitute for a real breakfast, but good for a fast fix... The maintenance crew started running their carts down the walkways in front of the rooms around 0900. Were you not up, you would be after that. The maids supervisor was a pleasant older woman. Very polite. Unfortunately I can not say the same for the maids; they had their cart in the middle of the walk, so with a bag, even a purse, it was hard to pass around them... No apology & they did not move the cart out of the way. I walk with a cane, which made the passing more difficult. It's raining, so I avoided the lobby tonight 2017:Saturday: The same half filled cup & empty beer case box still sits down on the sidewalk before the way out to the car lot. The walls are super thin. You do not have to talk very loud to be heard. Our neighbors have been quite loud. Yesterday they were not too bad, tonight crazy laughter, loud cutting up and thumping around talking to each other. No concern for their neighbors. We have been coming here for quite a few years, but this visit has pretty well secured the fact, that we are staying somewhere else after this. Extra paid money will be worth the privacy. And due to definite proof of not keeping the property up, and more problems not being told to new quests about some of the security issues they have been having. It is a shame, because the place was at on time a good place to come to. I regret having to make this apparent in my review of the facility. The additional noise tonight starting at 1015 PM, just secured the point I am making of how this place has gone down hill. The noise finally calmed down around 1230 AM, Am awake now. Did report the disturbance to the front desk. And went ahead and packed up our car. Did not get to sleep until around 0300 AM.... Spoke with the manager we knew, she comped us the night and apologized also. She's known us for a few years now. The desk clerk, who was on the other night will be spoken to about customer service and how to talk to guests. We will be staying at another hotel for our next trip to Beaufort, SC. They are supposed to renovating this hotel next year. read more

My email to the Manager over 24 hours ago: (Some personal info omitted) Dear 303 Associates, and Mrs. Dykeman, I was abused and discriminated against by a staff member at your hotel this morning. I checked out of this Quality Inn location yesterday but returned at approximately 9:30 p.m. to check back in for 3 additional days. This morning I went to the Front Desk to have breakfast. First, I took juice from the cooler because no one was at the front desk when I came in. As soon as the Front Desk Associate; Carly, came from the back I asked her if I could have a breakfast sandwich. Immediately she shouted at me "NO! YOU CHECKED OUT YESTERDAY!". I was stupefied and caught off guard by this. I informed her that I checked back in last night. Carly was visibly upset that I was a guest. Then Carly proceeded to immediately become argumentative with me while she was checking the front desk computer to see if I was telling the truth. Carly then began searching for something to harass me about because she then asked me for the Lighthouse parking pass that I had checked out late last night, for today's use. Carly yelled at me that I was to of returned it already and that I needed to return it now. This really upset me, and I reacted emotionally, cussing. Each time that I tried to explain to her what was happening, she yelled over me and would not allow me to talk. Finally, I asked to speak to her manager and she informed me that I was to remove myself from the grounds and that she was the manager. I began to cry because she wouldn't allow me to explain that I wasn't doing anything wrong, and that I had just came down for breakfast. A maintenance employee named Phil came to the front desk. While I was trying to explain what was happening, Carly continuously interrupted him and I speaking to each other. I was never allowed to explain the entire complaint to Phil. Eventually, Carly stormed off into the back office and Phil was able to listen and give me a breakfast sandwich. I have severe PTSD and Marfan's Syndrome. I did not willingly put myself into an unsafe, discriminatory environment! ***Update*** It has been over 24 hours since I sent this email to the Manager. I have heard absolutely nothing from any staff at this hotel regarding my situation! Miss Carly has been working the day shift today, I am trying to get some work finished and I cannot because I do not want to go to the front desk to use the fax machine while she is here! I do not recommend this hotel at all, in fact, I would rather stay in my truck before I stayed anywhere near this Front Desk Attendant again! read more

Warning for room 301. Me and my wife found this place to be quite nice. The rate was cheap and the location was nice. We got into our room at about 8pm. My wife had to use the restroom very bad at the time, but toilet was clogged and there was no plunger available. I didn't want to call and bother the stoned employee at the front desk just for a plunger so instead I told my wife to use the bathroom in the tub. After she dropped her loaf in the tub she used one of the hangers to chop it up to get in down the drain. There was also no toilet paper there so the hand towel was used to wipe her clean. Where to start. Location is great. Within walking distance of things to do. Price is reasonable. You can rent a pass to hunting island state park. That's about all the good. And the reason for two stars; honestly deserves 1. Rooms are in need of serious modern upgrades. Bed was flat and hard. I've slept on futons more comfortable. Picture any hotel room in 1990 but stuck in 1986. My girlfriend wiped down our room with disinfectant wipes. Like she always does. Because this is COVID times. The wipes were dirty. Not like oh they missed a spot. Like wtf?? Just a side note. I'm a choice hotel member. I frequent hotels in Charleston and Hilton Head. The rooms are damn near spotless. Toilet clogged/wouldn't flush. Called down to front desk asked if they could please bring a plunger to the room. I'm a guy I can unclog a toilet. Told they have to put in a request to maintenance man. That was hours ago. I'm not a jerk so if it's not unclogged by time I come back from dinner. I'll spend the money on a $7 plunger and fix it myself. That's not how it's supposed to be. My dead honest advice. Stay somewhere else. Good thing we only booked a day and half. Worst hotel experience ever! Our room, #134 was filthy with black mold in the bathroom, dirty doors, floors and the chest of drawers was literally falling apart. The person at the desk seemed to care less and responded that the Manager of Housekeeping would inspect it. Doesn't he or she do that on a regular basis anyway? The room was also extremely noisy and the pipes rattled and groaned from the rooms above and to the side of us. I give them a extra star because I did not experience bed bugs or the palmetto bug that people have written about in their reviews. However I did come across my own problems. The elevator was very shaky and if it wasn't for luggage I would have used the stairs every time. Several reviews mentioned a gap under the door, I found that problem is not resolved along with enough of a gap around the rest of the door to allow light in. The toilet worked, but you have to hold the handle down for a few seconds, and house keeping closed both stoppers when they clean. This could just be something they do or maybe it's to keep something in the drains from coming out. The front desk staff was amazing though, always seemed helpful when I would go to them. This is now my 4th visit to the area, as my mother and grandmother live here and my fiancé and I come down yearly to visit, but this year I was also celebrating my 21st birthday. I've stayed at different places each time and this hotel is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. When we arrived and went to the front desk to check in, the lady at the desk told me I would have to wait and just walked into the back office to chat with another worker. When she came out she didn't even greet us, just asked for the name. I gave it to her and asked how much it would be if possible, to upgrade to the king size bedroom rather than the double I had already booked and paid for, she told me no, I already paid and she can't do anything, I would have to rebook and pay again--which is ridiculous, I was offering to PAY MORE yet she was rude and so unhelpful. Then she went on to give us our keys and stress the fact that we weren't to 'break anything in the room or smoke' and while the smoking bit was warranted, I'm sure it's obvious to everyone that we shouldn't break anything...would she say that to a 40-50 year old couple? Probably not. Nonetheless we went to our room with the double bed unpacked and the room was relatively decent for the price. The next morning we went down for the free continental breakfast, which was honestly the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had, and I always look forward to these. The batter for the pancakes was sour once cooked, the milk for the cereal was in a 60 degree fridge, the juice machine was broken and the women running the breakfast was the rudest person I've met. Not to mention she had 2 girls she was obviously friends with who WEREN'T staying at the hotel eating the breakfast and being rude and inconsiderate in the dining area. We tried the breakfast again for 2 more mornings and it never changed. Our room wasn't cleaned or serviced at all until our 3rd day here, not even a made bed let alone new towels or sheets. Then 3 nights into our 5 night stay we get back from a day out in Charleston, and our air conditioner is broken. We call down to the desk and they send maintenance up to check it out, indeed it was broken and unfixable in the moment, so the switched our rooms. When we got to the new room that air conditioner was also broken and the fire alarm was dead and beeping, so yet again we moved now from our 2nd floor room to a 4th floor room with absolutely NO upgrade, as they were apparently all booked. So now we are in our 3rd room, which has one nightstand on one side and a fridge acting as a nightstand on the other, a broken dresser and also a smaller room than we originally had. On top of all of this, when we arrived on Monday, we saw a sign saying the pool was closed for maintenance, so I had asked if it was just for the day or if it was a long time thing, she said it would just be the day. Well it is now Thursday and the pool finally opened in the middle of the day, and the next water is still a green color, I wouldn't even swim in it if I had to, which sucks because it's so hot out. We rented a room here because they allowed pets. I cannot express how poor our experience was. The room seemed clean but tired. When we walked in and we were greeted by a stale air smell. The entrance door was very messed up around the lock which looked like it had either been jimmied or chewed by a large dog , the bathroom moldings were rusted near the floor the sink drain did not operate I had to climb under the sink to open the drain. We were awakened at five am by the sound of the garbage truck backing in to collect the trash. The sound went on for close to a minute and when we complained the we were told the hotel was being held hostage by the trash company. This was not a quality experience. read more

After reading reviews I still booked going in with low expectations. Boy did I not set them low enough. The room stunk. You could see light all around the door because it didn't seal correctly. Check is was horrible and the people were rude. I'm a choice member and was having trouble booking online so I asked if I could break direct. Was told no we have no officiating with choice except we use the name and give points. They are independently owned and don't have to follow the rules. I wish I could give this hotel 0 stars. Affordable, clean rooms as well as all areas fabulous continental breakfast and an extraordinary accommodating staff. Everyone is pleasant and courteous and especially Carly. Nice well maintained pool and they offer Parking pass to the beautiful Hunting Island. Easy access to everything, restaurants, stores and minutes from downtown Beaufort and Marina where you can booked tours etc We rented kayaks and had a great time. Brick restaurant up the street is great and best burger in town ! Love Beaufort and its residents. read more

It is sad to give a one star review. The one star is for the breakfast. These are the poorest accommodations I have ever experienced. Somehow we were booked into a pair of pet rooms. As soon as you approach the corridor the smell is overwhelming. If I HAD a dog I would never leave it anywhere that smelled like this. The first room had a busted door handle. We opened the second rooms d the stench was so overwhelming it made your skin crawl. The kind of smell that seeps into your clothes and stays all day. How does this place pass inspection? We were moved but the only rooms available had a small double bed. You could feel all of the springs in the mattress. The hotel is non-smoking so everyone lines up along the balcony to smoke. Then you have what I assume are pipes clanging all night. And of course the screaming match next door. Worst nights sleep ever. read more

I will never stay at this hotel again. My first issue was that they gave my non smoking room away thanks to overbooking. The manager gave me a smoking room on the 4th floor at a hefty discount and agreed to move me the next morning after check out. Okay fine. I accepted the offer. Around midnight as I was getting ready to wind down, we were visited by a HUGE "palmetto bug" (cockroach to layman folks). Eek...Me thinks not! I called downstairs and asked them to send someone to verify that I wasn't lying and to remedy the situation. The security dude comes up and tries to get rid of it. Unfortunately, the darn thing outsmarted the security guard. I called down to the front desk and asked for another room. The front desk lady gives me another room. The security guard walks me to the new room and we do a quick inspection. No bugs, or so we thought. After getting my kids settled down and my nerves back together, another freaking palmetto bugs rears its ugly head. I immediately call down for the security guard to fix this problem. He comes back and actually has a good removal tactic this go'round. I went down to the front desk and by this time it's around 1:45am and all I want to do is sleep. The lady advised me thy the room will be comped and that the manager suggested that I find another hotel in the morning after checkout. I asked for new sheets and went to Walmart and bought a can of raid so that I could spray down the room. I didn't get resettled in the roomuntil around 2:30am. In the morning, I grabbed my stuff and checked out. The front desk folks apologized for the inconvenience. I knew other people in the hotel that didn't have any problems, but I realized that part of the problem is that the bottom door seals do not completely cover the bottom of the doors allowing bugs to freely walk in. For 49.99 a night I guess I can't complain about it too much. I stayed here over the weekend because my baby brother graduated from the Marines, and it was one of the closest hotels to the base. Anywho, my only gripe about this place was that I booked it online for two double beds...and when I checked in, I found out that there would only be ONE bed. Their definition of "double beds" were Double OCCUPANCY beds! Yikes. Needless to say I had to share a bed with my "oh-so-sweet-mother"...( insert sarcasm here) but they do offer FREE wifi !! lol read more

I stayed here with my family on the 20th of October for my son's Marine Recruit Graduation at Parris Island. We stayed four in a room for $120. The room over all was nice, clean with no strange odors. The bathroom was very clean, the beds, refrigerator and microwave were as well. The only thing in my opinion needs improvement is the carpet in the room it was full of stains. They need to have the carpets replaced. The breakfast wasn't bad as free hot breakfasts would go for the price. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Would I stay there again if I'm ever in the area...I probably would as long as they keep up their standards and improve on the other areas they need to. read more

Single king room was $98/night - not bad for a holiday weekend. Now I know why..... Nothing worked: TV, fridge, microwave, phone, iron, etc. Everything was broken. We called the front desk (from our cell since the phone didn't work) & they immediately comped the room.....seems they get this a lot. UPDATE** None of the 6 ice machines on the property worked either & housekeeping staff were loafing at the breakfast tables meant for guests whilst smoking in the vicinity of those eating. When checking out, the woman at the front desk gave me a total attitude & tried to renig on the offer to comp the room as was promised by the staff person the night before. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told "she isn't here on property". I ended up getting the room comped in the end but DO NOT go here. There are plenty of other, nicer choices....even if you're only staying one night for Parris Island grad ceremony. read more
